it is Mobile mostly , I am a mobile user since I mostly spend my day outside my comfort zone meaning not in my house( work related) so the chance of playing in my desktop happens very few than my Mobile.

I would say that it has died down because of the bear market, and we are not 100% sure if it will stay dead during the next bull run. Which means that if they build something like that, like a casino but in a metaverse where you download and be in there and gamble etc etc, maybe it will work a lot during next bull run, maybe it won't. I can't tell exactly, the idea of metaverse is not bad but the executions so far has been pretty subpar.
I don't think the hype will return just because of a bull-run since these kind of events tend not to repeat based on my observations. For example, ICO hype never returned despite multiple bull-runs in recent years. It's all about the trust factor basically. Once trust is lost, it's very, very difficult to regain the confidence of investors in my opinion.
