I think this is exactly how West Ham played against Manchester United and they got the results in that game as well. Arsenal seem to be doing too much in front of goal, the players are being too stylish when they should be taking the shot. Arsenal need to start talking their chances in the second half. West Ham will do everything to defend their one goal lead, David Moyes style is more defensive than attacking. West ham United has just scored a second goal and going by your analogy of them being on the defensive side and trying to protect their defense, it will be very difficult for Arsenal to break in, this is 56 minutes of play, can Arsenal try to equalize these two goals and possible win this match, that I think will be near impossible because West ham have been pushing forward and it's more like their morale is being heightened up because of the second goal they've scored. Very incredible night for Brighton as the club is leading Tottenham Hotspur with 2 goals just within the first 28 minutes into the game, although the match time is still good and if tottenham team are able to make any equalization but as it stands, their chances for such possibilities is very slim and Brighton won't be giving them that chance.
Many of the time, we have seen how such matches that start in this nature end up favouring the losing team innthe early minutes, because Brighton players may slack and believe the match is already in their favour, but then until the 99 minutes are over, no one can declare a game as over.
I would say that I am surprised about Brighton's performance tonight against Tottenham. Although the match is still on and the both teams will soon head to have 15mins rest for the second half. Very decent goal from Foden while Pickford find the ball very difficult to pick  . Manchester City is a team that rarely disappoints. From the beginning of the match i knew they will still take the lead on the score line. Regardless of how fast Everton were lucky to get a goal, they will eventually lose the game to Manchester City. They are no match for the premier league champions. So bad John Stones has been taken off as injured. His absence may leave a mark on the performance of Manchester City for some period. We saw that when Rodri was injured as well. At the beginning of the game it was as if Everton where going to put up a strong fight when i initially saw the 1-1 draw, however Manchester City still had to prove that they were the defending champions, immediately after that penalty was scored, i knew that more goals where coming because Manchester City began to mount excessive pressure and controlling of the midfield as they often do. But lately I must say that Manchester City haven't really been dishing out that fire power that they possess, there has been a great level of decline in their conquest this season and if care is not taken, they might not repeat what happened last seasons, after coming behind to take league from Arsenal. |

I know that during boxing day there are a lot of surprise results as the 433 Instagram page had shown some crazy results in this very day in the distant year of 1963 with even 10-2 as a result in a game in what was called First Division then but I never thought to see Newcastle losing at home to Nottingham Forest which for me will remain the biggest surprise result of this week.

Roma performed very well after some bad results in the previous match. They have managed to get into 6th position and maybe they will continue to improve their ranking. I saw that in the previous two seasons they were always only able to appear in the UEFA European competition, so hopefully this positive result can enable Roma to appear in the Champions League next season.
In the next match, Roma will face Juventus, and this is a nightmare for Roma because, so far, Juventus has a very solid and strong team. Of course, Roma will have difficulty facing Juventus' strength. Roma must continue to play by controlling their emotions because, in the previous match, Roma looked full of emotion and often received violations. Roma cannot escape that emotional feeling when they face Juventus in their next match. Seeing the caliber of team they will be playing against us enough for them to have some emotional feelings and be anxious of what the outcome of the match will be. Juventus are really fighting for that top spot and will give everything to make it to that top of the table even when it seems harder daily because of the teams that they need to challenge and replace at that top of the table. Roma won their last match with Napoli, hopefully this should be a booster and encouragement for them to play well in this match with Juventus. Juventus will not be taken their meeting with them lightly because they need all the three points and Roma will be looking to at least get a point in this game too. It all depends on how consistent they would be from now till the end of the season but I doubt if they will drop out the top 7 of the table, they look good at the moment especially after trashing Napoli a couple of days ago which brought them to the 6th position, though they still have tougher opponents to face in the league but with wins like this against Napoli, it will help prepare them for the challenges ahead this season, i just hope they remain this way so they can clinch a spot in the champions league next season because its a been a while without Roma playing in the champions. |

Newcarle was the first to score. I know they will start jubilating thinking they will win the game and it is very possible because Newcastle are good and it takes wisdom and strategy to win them don't just underestimate them even in this match they will have full confidence of smoking forest and in the end they were the one who got smoked and it was a good effort coming from forest because they were the last person I expected them to win and during the extra time they equalized. Nottingham Forest immediately responded to the goal by increasing their attack power which made Newcastle unable to withstand the pressure. Three goals were answered perfectly, the comeback made by Nottingham meant that Newcastle had to end the match with a defeat. Chris Wood was the hero of Nottingham Forest's victory. The hat trick he scored made Newcastle fail to improve its position in the standings. Newcastle is in danger of dropping to 9th place if Manchester United and Brighton are able to win the match in the 19th game. This position is certainly not ideal for Newcastle, which managed to finish in the top four last season. It was very lovely seeing the away side finding themselves back into the game and eventually taking the lead leaving Newcastle frustrated all the way, another exciting thing about this match was when Chris wood the former Burnley and Newcastle player scoring a hat trick against his former club, what a way to announce his presence at the former club's home ground, though playing against them but proving himself by scoring those 3 goals in front of the fans and taking away all three points was indeed wonderful for Chris wood. |

Newcastle vs Forest is being played and this game seems to be the most interesting one at the moment. Both the teams finished the first half with outstanding performances which led to the game still tied at 1-1. Newcastle are currently not in great form in the Premier League which is why they are still reeling in power with a normal team like Forest. Newcastle are not playing very well at home today and it is hard to say whether they will be able to beat the opposition. But if they can perform well in the second half of the game, maybe Newcastle can win at home. Both teams are attacking well and this is an interesting game, if today's match ends in a draw then surely Newcastle will lose their points. As the team is still in a good position in the Premier League, if they can win today's match, they will have a chance to go to the top places later.
The game has taken a total change and the opposition team are taken the lead with two goals difference. Yeah Arsenal has done really well with how far they have gone on this season by leading the premier League table again but however they seriously need to put more efforts on there upcoming matches because the points different between Arsenal and Liverpool is quite small so any slightest mistake from Arsenal will cost them the first position they are in now, so the only way for them to maintain there stand on the table is to keep up with there impressive performance. However there upcoming match against West Ham United is actually going to be tough on the both sides because West Ham United is also very good in times of performance, so if Arsenal fails to win West Ham United Liverpool is going to take over the first position on the premier League because Liverpool is going to meet Burnley and we all no that Liverpool is far better than Burnley in times performance so is obvious that is a win match for Liverpool. Is only 2 ? I think being on 2nd place in LaLiga is really a great achievement that no one really anticipated before the season began. Personally , I think they will become champions of LaLiga just like Leicester did it a few years ago in EPL and I'm saying this because I've watched at least 6 games of Girona this season and this team is playing the best football in Spain right now and they should be champions as long as VAR or some referees won't screw them.
I mean they are currently in La Liga for the 2nd year. They were promoted in season 22/23. That means they haven't played in the league for long. The first year they ended up in 10th place. This year they are starting to make history of always being in the top 3. This season Girona drew against Betis, this left them on the same points as Madrid and they dropped to 2nd. Betis are not a weak team, they have also only lost 2 games. Girona's achievements after last season only reached 10th place and then this season competing at the top deserves the greatest appreciation. And what makes Girona unique is that their squad depth is not as good as Real Madrid or Barcelona. But their performance has matched Real Madrid and is currently even better than Barcelona. An interesting thing this season also happened because of the presence of Girona in the competition at the top. What I hope is that Girona can at least stay in the top 4 zone so they can get a ticket to the Champions League. And with their current performance this should be possible. Even winning a title can happen. And actually, if we look at who owns the most shares in Girona, we won't be surprised by Girona's current performance. Because the fact that everyone should know is that Girona and Manchester City are under the City Football Group. However, the difference is that Manchester City has many extraordinary players so it is natural that they are extraordinary in the EPL. But Girona is only filled with ordinary players but they can be extraordinary now in Laliga. It would be a great pleasure to see Girona lift the laliga title this season considering how well they have played this season taking everybody by surprise and also causing alot of upsets beating Barcelona and several other big clubs in the laliga, I know it wouldn't be easy for them to achieve this feat, at least not without a fight from Real Madrid, Barca, or Athletico Madrid but I think they have all it takes to emerge as winners of the laliga this season having come this far. |

Looks like Erik Ten Hag may lose his job in 2024. Looking at history of Manchester United, it’s understandable that the fans cannot stand the current mediocrity at the club. Judging by the performance of United this season, ETH deserves the sack so far but perhaps Manchester United should be more patient just the way Arsenal gave to Mikel Arterta. Klopp first 3 years at Liverpool weren’t that great either. But they have progressed to do big things at their respective clubs
Erik ten Hag had a really bad performance. Manchester United have had poor results under him. No one will be surprised if he is fired. But Manchester United have had problems about the managers for a very long time. Erik ten Hag is not their first. And if they fire Erik ten Hag from Manchester United and replace him with someone else, all the problems will not be solved at once. I think Manchester United have structural problems. And it's not an easy thing to solve. My own problem with Eric Ten hag started when he could not control his ego against Ronaldo, he couldn't manage a super player like Ronaldo as a coach with so much repute, Ronaldo would have still been in Manchester United scoring goals and putting other players on their toes just so that the team could be at the top. Draw is not a bad result for Gunners to be honest. The game was in Anfield and the closest opponent Aston Villa gave up on 2 points against the bottom team so Arsenal is still on top. Two birds with one stone, both Liverpool and Aston Villa stayed behind. The win could be better obviously especially when they took the early lead but I won't complain to this draw that much.
A draw was definitely a good one for both teams, the game was more of the clash of titans as both teams played their best, nobody wanted the other to dominate the other and that's how it should be for big teams like these. Arsenal where trying to make a difference as per they are the table leaders and the beautiful bride of the moment, but Liverpool where able to contain them at least with the home advantage. One incident that caught my attention was that penalty committed by odegaard when the ball hits his hand at the 18 yard box and it wasn't awarded a penalty by the referee, I really think that would have been a PK, however it was a good game. |

Almost every week we see surprises in the premier league and just now we saw Manchester United defeated that was the first surprise then we look forward to Luton vs NewCastle, currently Luton leads by one goal and if Newcastle cannot equalize the score then this will be the second surprise. As usual Newcastle played by control the match while Luton played more aggressively with several dangerous attacks if the situation is like this, I won't be surprised if Luton scores the second goal. Eddie Howe seems to have noticed and replaced 2 players, we don't know what he was planning but what is certain is that he didn't want to be late in implementing the strategy.
Tottenham lead by 2 goals but it's not safe yet because Everton is still trying to find loopholes it was recorded that Everton fired more shots in the first half
Everton had a chance to score but not to win unless luck comes at the last minute, as previously predicted there will be a lot of goals.
Everton are really proving that they are a tough side, despite the fact that they are losing to Tottenham 2-0 this first half, they've been attacking and firing from all cylinders, just before the end of the first half, you could see that one on one attempt from Harrison, I feel the second half will be really tougher as Everton might see the back of the net, ordinarily Everton where supposed to equalise the game at the first half, as the opportunities where there for them but they had hardluck in converting them. |

West Ham have bounced back with two outstanding goals, I mentioned it earlier that the tables will turn around, and it surely did. West Ham has secured their three points by utilizing their opportunities, while Manchester united wasted theirs. Lesson for Manchester united to be more serious when opportunities presents itself. Manchester united coach is just busy making some fairly wrong decisions in this match, Garnacho was removed very late, that would've happened long ago as he's seriously underperforming in today's match.
This match is a very boring one, both teams are very much underperforming today, West Ham is just lucky enough to have converted their chances and secure a win. Kudos to them.
I was mentioning it the other day that Manchester United shouldn't be given a direct win in a game, because of their level of inconsistency. How Eric Ten Hag is still remaining as the coach of Manchester United is among the seven wonders of this world. I cannot still tell the kind of game pattern Manchester United plays, in the first half, they had more dominance on the ball, but had little goal opportunities, up on till the second half where west ham had already absorb the game pattern of Manchester United though they defended very well as home team, before they goals started coming in for west ham. |
