Even if the season is still long, I fear that Liverpool will end up losing the decisive games against their direct rivals. In the last few games they have clearly dominated the worser teams like Norwich, but as soon as a team from the top 6 comes along, they oftentimes have serious difficulties. You saw that very well again against Arsenal. I wouldn't begrudge Liverpool the championship, but if ManCity don't slip up, it will become very, very difficult.

I don’t agree with your analysis because Liverpool has certainly been at their best even against bigger oppositions like the traditional top six teams. Against a rejuvenated Arsenal they came up with a tactics that didn’t work out although I expected Klopp to have reverted back to the normal high press and but he didn’t and Arsenal who should have had more capitalized on that.

Now to your question of them wining the weaker teams and not getting maximum points against the likes of Manchester city and Arsenal, i will say Liverpool actually have proven that they want to win the league with that. One thing I found interesting with the premier league is that you can simply win all games so instead of focusing on winning your arch rivals alone why not winning all small and middle teams and then later share spoils against the bigger ones. This way you will be able to narrow down the points. Manchester city had been doing this in past seasons and it has worked. You will see the likes of Manchester United beating them and they would still win the league way clear of them.

Sure no one saw Liverpool losing to Arsenal due to the fact that they are in-form and were hoping to still maintain the gap between them and the second club in the league table but I was analyzing the game that most Arsenal defeat to Liverpool is always when Mohammed Salah is being featured but since he hasn't returned from injury so I saw it as an advantage for Arsenal to win Liverpool, though for me Liverpool played better just that they missed most of their chances and Arsenal utilized their own chances and another thing that caused Liverpool's loss is due to poor defense like the defenders overlapped too much thereby granting Arsenal easy penetration to their defense and scored goals.

Mohammed Salah is always expected to score for Arsenal whenever he plays with them. Liverpool's unfortunate lack of Salah's participation in this critical match was due to injury. The match analysis I had for this game predicted a win for Liverpool or, at worst, a draw because they will be playing at the Emirates Stadium, which will give Arsenal more motivation to win the match.  I really liked how Arsenal played, and it has reignited their fight for the league's top spot; I just hope it is for the long term, rather than just this game or the next few. Arsenal had maintained that first position at some point in this season, but gave it away after they started performing poorly, I hope they’re back to their winning ways because many people thinks this will be their season to win the premier league after so many years of being without trophy.

There is nothing critical here, you don't expect Liverpool should visit Emirate stadium and then allow Arsenal to lose that easily, it will take a lot of hard work for them to concede and that's what happened in that match. Liverpool mistake made it worse and now what I'm afraid is the point margin that separate between Arsenal, Liverpool and Manchester City. The only way for Liverpool to avoid been displace from that standing is if they don't lose any games this season and Arsenal and Manchester City should lose, too hard to see.

The race for first place is once again extremely close, with only a few points separating all of the teams. To remain in the top standings and have a competitive advantage for the league title, you must win all of your matches and accumulate all of the points necessary to avoid being displaced by any team below you in the standings. This is where the league will get tougher as the top four teams clash frequently, determining the long-term position of the majority of them in the standings. The premier league competition is just getting more interesting once more after the performances of these teams recently.

Indeed Man United seems to be in a pretty good week. They were able to perform well. Remember when they were able to win after falling behind and the victory from West Ham was also convincing. If anything, the fans have been through a lot of disappointing results so to still restore some form of confidence, they had better get their acts together, at least to help ensure that Erik ten Hag still has his job and they move up the ranks.

It's been a while I noticed this formation Manchester city is playing with. Brentford is already leading but they should be very wary of any crosses that would come from the flanks, mostly those through pass by De Bruyne to find Haaland.

Brentford isn't dominating the game at all. It is obviously Manchester City that is in the driving seat in this game from the first minute onwards. But this is still not some amateurish league, it is the Premier League and I would argue that per se any of the clubs playing in this league would also be able to score a goal against any team.

Brentford has less than 30% ball possession and it is the standard game, Manchester City has the ball and creates chances, but if they don't score early and their opponent gets a chance and scores with a little bit of luck, the clock starts running against them. But this will be a very long game for Brentford to defend the lead as Manchester City can increase the pressure with every minute passing by. It is often a question of power in reserve and Manchester City knows how to deplete it and then they attack with perfect timing.

I don't know why Brentford were so good against Manchester City, other than they were playing at their home ground so I'm not sure what the other motive was. I'm not underestimating Brentford, but their performance so far has been really poor with only winning 2 of their last 10 games. Mark Flekken made some great saves and apart from tight defending he was the final wall that maintained Brentford's lead in the first half.

But no matter how strong Brentford's defense is, they will not be able to maintain their lead forever. Manchester City's dominance and the many goal attempts they had ultimately changed the score to 1-1. Phil Foden made the difference and he broke the deadlock before the end of the first half. I hope Manchester City can maximize this match by winning, so they can match Arsenal on points and increase their chances of leading the standings after Liverpool lost to Arsenal.

The first half is likely to belong to Brentford in this match because looking at the first half time that is almost up it is actually quite difficult for Manchester City to catch up in the conditions of Brentford who play with an extraordinary defensive scheme.Brentford know that they are ahead and will continue to defend so they do not miss the wave of attack by Manchester City.

IMO there is nothing wrong with Manchester City attack so far but Brentford are also very disciplined to defend and they almost keep all their players in the defensive area. Even so when Manchester City are still very troubled in this first half im still quite sure that Manchester City are still very capable of getting 3 point in this match bcause after all by looking at the dominance they showed throughout the 45 minutes of the first half the chance for 3 points is actually very big just waiting for Brentford to be caught off guard by their defence then Manchester City will definitely be able to equalise the score even for a comeback is not impossible in this match.
