Lol.. I guess @Velvet78 wanted to say point loss. They actually dropped points in that match. The match was ended in a draw, and I believe this was a match from which Girona could have actually got three points. I can strongly say they could have played better and if they could have kept themselves on the side for a couple of times, they could have done better. I can't deny that's really both of the teams could have done better or at least have scored in this match if they could keep themselves on side. Also the goalkeeper of both teams needs to be praised.

Apart from having to improve the consistency of its performance, Barcelona's chances of winning the title this season really depend on the performance of the other two teams in the standings. Real Madrid and Girona are the two title contenders this season and Barcelona's chances could be better if Real Madrid and Girona drop more points in the remainder of the season. This is still possible so far even though personally I also doubt Barcelona's consistent performance, but they have done their best so far.

I do not ignore any opportunities that Barcelona has to return to its peak performance in the remainder of the season, but all teams and coaches will have difficulty getting their best performance if there are many players injured. If I consider the existing statistics, then I think it is clear that Real Madrid is still playing with the same good intensity even though Real Madrid are leading with a score of 1-0. I agree with what you said, Madrid must look forward and maintain the point difference they have created with Girona. There is nothing to regret too much, completing the remaining matches in the second half of the season and beating the other contestants is enough to deliver Los Blancos to the trophy. ATM never gave up even though they were under heavy pressure from Madrid since the whistle blew, their defense line was very solid and made it difficult for Los Blancos to increase their number of goals. Conceding in the final minutes when focused on attacking is normal, although disappointing, but sharing points is not a bad thing at all.

Girona should be grateful for the Madrid vs ATM draw, because the point difference did not become wider, only 2 points adrift which allowed them to overtake Madrid in one match. On paper, we believe that this season Madrid will win the trophy more easily, because only Girona is pressing them seriously. What I saw was that the atmosphere at a derby match was very different. If you look at the difference in ranking between the two, Real Madrid is clearly above Atletico Madrid, but, in this derby match, this difference did not seem to be visible because the motivation is not only to get points but it also concerns prestige.

What is clear is that Real Madrid failed to maintain their composure until the match ended. When they let their guard down and thought they would pocket the 3 points, it was at that moment that Atletico gave them a punishment.
