With great regret I have to announce that all my 200 mined blocks were just orphaned. So no free coins. :/
|
|
|
All sent, hope you recieve them as i still have only one connection and it would be very embarassing if my blocks end up orphaned.

New wallet works for me.
|
|
|
Cause it's so hard to get a VM running... edit: Ah great a new Windows wallet soon.

nodes, got it running on linux but only one connection?

No splash screen here, just a little icon in the taskbar sitting @ 50% cpu.

I recommend dedicated servers, unless you find a reliable host that doesn't mind high cpu utilization. Got mine here https://robot.your-server.de/order/market , not as expensive as you might think and it runs a lot of stuff.

Do people want a pool for this? I think I could give it a shot if people are interested in actually having pools before we have gpu miners. I'm not sure about a pay per share design due to the nonuniform and decreasing distribution of primes, but proportionally seems straight forward.
Ofcourse! Can the primecoin client be pointed at a pool or would we need a miner first?

- these optimized primecoind builds are worse at finding blocks despite higher primespersec
Can only speak from my experience, found two blocks with this modified primecoind (unstripped 59MB version though), 162 and 720 blocks ago, 160-210 pps. The last blocks found on that machine using the original version are 2686 and 3060 blocks ago.

Hmm crashes here (win 7 64 bit, Intel Core2)

I know how to compile in ubuntu, but windows is a huge pain in the ass for compiling (and btc/ltc mining gives me errors in ubuntu 13.04).
Yeah I guess that's the reason no modified windows client will be posted for some time. Although there are gitian sigs @ https://github.com/primecoin/primecoin.gitian.sigs , but that's too high for me.

primecoind modified with mustyoshi's changes for linux http://www10.zippyshare.com/v/86926056/file.htmlCompiled on debian x64, no idea if it'll run on other systems. Use at your own risk, no guarantees that this is mining any faster. Also, learn to compile yourself, it's fun, much more secure and feels like hacking.

Yes please! Even though I'd prefer a Windows bin. :C
OK, but it's huge (59 MB), compiled with the standard flags in the makefile, some clues to make it smaller? edit: forgot to strip it.

Found second block with "new" client. Would a linux binary benefit anyone? I suppose everyone who managed to run primecoind on linux knows how to change a few lines of code though. Compiling coin clients for Windows is a huge pain in the *** btw, i guess that's the reason no optimized windows binary was posted so far.
