I like that there is a lot of prosperity in the Bitcoin economy in a few years. I predict by 2020, Bitcoin will have gone mainstream and anyone using the blockchain technology now will end up being rich in the years to come. I think that technology takes a while for people to start using on a day-by-day basis but as history has shown it always happens.

A lot of things have definitely happened in 2015 in regards to Bitcoin but nothing major has really happened yet. I don't see 2016 being the year of prosperity either, other than the price possibly doubling due to halving in the summer of next year. There needs to be more public awareness of this technology. The public is just beginning to understand technology fluently and it will be quite a while before mass adaptation happens.

I just got an LG3 from my parents and now I want to sell my old phone. I have a Samsung S5 with a bit of a cracked screen, but it is extremely superficial. I got it on a WIND tab a year ago but now I've switched to a different provider. The screen does not turn on, but the phone vibrates at start up. I just fixed the frame and had that screen replaced. I am asking BTC1.42 obo. Price includes shipping and handling within Canada and the US. Phone will be shipped once funds are placed in a trusted escrow. Pics included. http://i1377.photobucket.com/albums/ah50/Tom_Morison/20150924_113226_zpsy7a5cqi6.jpg

Thanks . I don't spend a lot of time on reddit, I mainly use it as a newsfeed. I don't find it very good for actual discussion. I hadn't seen those threads til they got linked here, surprisingly sane and rational, for reddit. Though I don't think there's a lot of crossover between reddit users and forum users. which is what drives most of the complaints. I do think I'm pretty good at what I do. I had my doubts about being an admin, but I think I've stepped up and done well. As for it being nepotism, we're not friends (not for any specific reason, we just don't really talk about things non-forum related), certainly not relatives. Colleagues would be a much more accurate description. Good for you. I am sure that there is no conflict between here and reddit. You have a lot of experience with Bitcoin and have done us a great service as administrator.

I am going to be a year into Bitcoin this month, October 10th. I may not have earned a whole lot this year but everyone has to start somewhere. I figure more more hard work and presistence, I will end up making more money as a sig campaigner and a computer programmer. I paid for a CakePHP course in New York and the education pays for itself. I hope I make a decent steady income in the new year.

Gambling is inherently bad.
Nice sig you got there. I'm just doing that to make some extra money. All casinos in my country tell their players the same thing. It may be different in the US but I do not live in that country. A portion of casino revenue goes to the government.

i have two full member accounts. Both had 168 activity Now both in 145 activity. One account can't signed message. Bid whatever you want, if i think it's perfect I'll sell.
Edit : Now I have 3 full member and 2 potential full member for sale. contact me to get special price
This should be in Auctions don't you think? no this is not an auction. so this is belong here. 3 full member and 1 potential full member left If this is not an auction than why are we bidding on the accounts? You also turned down a previous bid which makes me more suspect. Also, owning more than one account is really questionable. Read the meta threads and try to concern yourself with the good of the community before pulling shit off like this.

So what is the current legal status of Bitcoin in Brazil? I am going there in a month and it would be a great way to bring some money down there without going through the banks. I am going to a town outside of Brasilia and I was wondering if there were any Bitcoin ATMs in that city. Thank you.

Gambling isn't bad, but you need to know your limits. Don't gamble with money or bitcoins that you need. Put a stop loss level. Gamble only for fun not to earn money. I know people that earn money with sports bets, but i know more people that looses btw or money betting.
Gambling is inherently bad. All long term gamblers loose money in the long run. Don't tell me there's such a thing as a professional gambler. Professional gamblers are in my opinion professional losers. Even if you're the best poker player, you're not always going to hit the straight flush. You can still bust on a hit. It is too possible to lose everything on a single hand.

The price of bitcoin is low so yes now is a good time to buy if you have the money to invest. I think bitcoin has a lot of potential as a technology and I don't think the price will dip below $200 again. Bitcoin is still in development and anyone who is using it now in my opinion is investing in their future.

Considering you are a Newbie and that I have never heard of such a service before, many on this forum may just consider you a scammer. No offense, but you should really do some trades and increase the trust rating of your account. Just my advice. Financial services always have security concerns.

ASIC miners are not going to help you at all with speeding up the syncing of your client. It has more to do with the size of the blockchain and the amount of bandwidth required to download the whole chain. You may want to use the bootstrap.dat file to speed up the download rate.

This is an interesting script. I may never sell this account but it sure is a good tool to quickly calculate the value of your Bitcointalk account. If there is ever need to sell my account I will consult this tool to find out how much it is worth roughly.

I think that the BTCTalk community administrators need to establish rules for signature campaigns. Managers have to check the quality of each post and remove every one line spammer from the campaign list. Automated post counting scripts could no longer be used since a script or bot could not check the quality of posts. If a campaign manager does not remove spammers from their campaigns, the forum admins should ban the campaign manager and effectively end the campaign. I too am getting sick of the spammers and lazy managers only in it for the money and not discussion about earning/improving the bitcoin network.

Really, those out there who are still using faucets are really wasting their time. Your better off learning a skill and get a good job in the fiat economy. Faucets are in my opinion only useful for educational purposes, there there is certainly no pint in spending your entire day on those sites. You only end up making mere pennies.

My problem with bitcoin is that the price is not stable and when the price decline 10$ in a day it worth a lot in my local currency so my loss is high :/
But the opposite would be true as well, right? Then just invest in bitcoins in a smart way; analyze how the price is going and you should be set. Bitcoin without price variations would be pointless, IMHO. I agree with you. Every new currency always fluctuates as that currencies economy is developed. Bitcoin will one day be worth way more than the US dollar and I say now is the perfect opportunity to earn from trading. Bitcoin is the future, as far as I'm concerned and the only problem I have with it is it has not gained mass adaptation yet. That I guess is going to take time.

I say if they're taxing Bitcoin it does validate the currency as real money. I may not agree with the taxation of Bitcoin itself but I do see that if the Australian government is calling it real money it helps move adaptation along which will increase the price of Bitcoin. I'm in Canada and do not pay taxes on my Bitcoins.

Trading is very much like gambling with the exception that you make more money doing it the more experienced you get with Bitcoin. I would suggest starting out by buying $5 worth of Bitcoin while the price is hitting the low of a dump, then hold on to the coins until the price has gone up significantly. You should also read the Speculation subforum of this board as it has a lot of active discussion regarding the issues that affect the price of Bitcoin.
