621  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Wow everything is down today!! on: September 24, 2017, 04:02:12 AM
What's the deal this time?  First China ICO ban and now what?  It's been a shitty few months for crypto!!  Is there any clear skies in sight or everything is just crashing and burning into the ground!!?
because china yesterday banned ico, and consequently all the market full of red,
but now it's green again, ethereum rise also put up good news

We should not depend everything from china, how about Japan and Korea they're both actively using bitcoin and even ico they also been active for most recent months. People should be encourage again and don't panic, every situations here were now neutralized and we need to be more focus don't ever sell the assets you have now specially the coins you hold. Be positive and this is the best time to invest for those who haven't take the previous opportunity while price was at cheaper value.
622  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: What is Bitcoin mining? on: September 17, 2017, 10:44:14 PM
Hello, I have a question,
what is Bitcoin mining?
actually can anyone explain that what is bitcoin mining?
or any source link or article where I can find my question perfect answer..
Your kindness.

Bitcoin Mining is a peer-to-peer computer process used to secure and verify bitcoin transactions—payments from one user to another on a decentralized network. Mining involves adding bitcoin transaction data to Bitcoin's global public ledger of past transactions. Each group of transactions is called a block. Blocks are secured by Bitcoin miners and build on top of each other forming a chain. Other informations you want to know is in here https://www.bitcoin.com/bitcoin-mining

It can help thr transactions of bitcoin becomes faster and those miner computers could earn bitcoins. That's absolutely a block as said by many post comments, however bitcoin minings involved also with other cryptocurrencies.
623  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Does motherboard chipset type matter for mining? on: August 31, 2017, 10:58:43 AM
mining support on older mobo is limited with bios support for multi-gpu that why more use new mobo....

I think as long as the number of PCIE lanes is guarranteed, the speed should be fine.
624  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Mining difficulties when Ethereum goes to POS - What are you going to do? on: June 22, 2017, 07:45:05 PM
Personally I will switch to Ethereum Classic, a crypto-currency I like a lot. However, most people will probable stop mining as there will not be a crypto-currency that propose as much security, safeness and peace of mind than Ethereum.

+1  Smiley In fact i already made the switch to ETC, future looks bright for both of these cryptos that being said.

If the ETH mining is more profitable, it is better to stay with ETH.

China Bitcoin Roundtable Votes for SegWit2x and New York Agreement http://bitsonline.com/china-bitcoin-roundtable-segwit2x/

That is good news which mean there will be SegWit and 2MB block size increase soon. I think the price will rise soon.
626  Economy / Speculation / Re: Nights Watch by Afrikoin on: May 24, 2017, 06:03:28 PM
For me, it will seem crazy if BTC@$10,000 this year. Lived through the collapse of the 2011 bubble and the two 2013 bubbles.

i think once we get past the scaling debate, $10 k will be very realistic.

I agree with that. The price has already risen a lot and will rise again.
627  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Problem Gigabyte r9 290 on: May 21, 2017, 04:47:10 PM
No one this has happened? Give at least somebody a theory that maybe?
The problem appeared immediately after cleaning and changing the thermal paste.

Can you reduce the clock frequency or use another BIOS with the switch?
628  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Mining difficulties when Ethereum goes to POS - What are you going to do? on: April 30, 2017, 05:52:39 PM
they are not switching to pos.  that tactic is to scare away  asic builders.
If some A-hole asic builder makes a killer eth miner   they would switch to pos.
So unless the asic builder self mines on the sneak never announcing his miner  Eth is not turning into a pos coin.
I have no fear if they do that.  The real fear is  WTF is btc doing with segwit and bu
as long as BTC  has good value  with most coins already  mined and in a wallet  alt coin will be fine.
Now if btc drops to 500 usd  alts will be eff'd

That's not true Phil, ethereum WILL go POS, just not as soon as originally planned. Casper is taking longer than expected, as was the case with each major update, but it will come for sure.
Also its impossible to make an ASIC for ethereum owning to the ever increasing DAG, the closest thing to an ASIC that you can get is building MXM style cards into a large PCB, or do what Pandaminer did.

And Btc dropping will not have nearly the same impact on Alts as Eth going POS would. All the Eth miners will shift to other alts jacking up difficulty manifolds for coins that have only a few thousand people mining them right now, and will reduce profits to half or less for all of us. I just pray that day comes AFTER I have ROI'd on all my gear Smiley

you could be correct.  But after I slept last night I thought about this post.

I checked all my money tied up in gear/coins/hashing contract with bitmain.

I decided I my ratios are wrong and I sold 2 coins for about 2450 usd.

I still have btc held  but my cash ratio is now more in line with what it should be.

I hold BTC
I hold ETH
I hold ZEC
I hold ZER   coins are worth 6k

I have  8k in gpu gear -------2.1k of this is off line due to arrive this week
I have  6k in asic 256 gear

I have 5k in cash            so all my crypto related stuff is about 25k

I have to keep ratios good.

What does your GPU gear consist of? If you were buying a rig today what rig would you be trying to attain or would you build your own and if so using what?

It is better to buy the GPU which can run the ZEC faster.

Is it possible that some ASIC miners are already there and mine secertly. The difficulty is rising fast.
630  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Third alt coin thread last two were too big. Builds links thoughts etc on: April 03, 2017, 07:31:46 AM
Talking of alts.

You might want to look at Golem, it is a ethereum token but the idea is to build a super computer network that anyone can use.  The final product is about 4 years out but if it takes off down the line could easily end up being a millionaire.   I joined the alpha testing on the slack and the proof of concept does work.  Whats not awesome is the team holds 18% of the coins and that seems a bit scammy, considering theres no reason for that when they raised 7 million in the pre-sale.

All alts are suffering pretty hard right now with bitcoin going all crazy.  Did china unlock their funds or something?

Make sure you are in both camps.

Btc should move close to 1500 usd

I am currently 30%-40% BTC, 20% ETH and 50%-40% to cash.

All my rigs are mining ZEC at NH getting back BTC.

All my S9 and A7 BTC farms are doing PPS+ at Antpool and VIABTC.

I think there is a big movement of ETH and DCR back to BTC.

Made money on XRP frenzy but I think I sold too early, ohhh well..... there is no such thing as a bad profit.

Do you support BU by mining at those two pools?
631  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Should I start a business to mine on: March 27, 2017, 08:23:32 AM
Taxes on mining? Buaahhahahahahahahahhaha.  Grin Grin

+1.. The best thing about crypto is that you do not have to pay any taxes..

When you spend the coins, tax man might ask.
632  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: R9 280X problem with Claymore + Zcash on: February 28, 2017, 07:20:04 PM
You may want to check the current version of Claymore's ZCash miner - v12.0.

The temps for your 280X seem high, my clock and temp information readings are:
Asus 1200/1600, 71C Fans 41% 300Sols/s
Sapphire 1100/1600, 73C Fans 64% 270Sols/s

I set my PowerLimit for both cards to -20%

Asus 1200/1600, 71C Fans 41% 300Sols/s . That must be in a very cool place.
633  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: R9 280X problem with Claymore + Zcash on: February 24, 2017, 08:37:06 AM
You need to reduce the frequency or the intensity.

VERY early Google trends data for 'Bitcoin' from January indicates a new bubble approaches. Need to wait longer for confirmation

Too scared and inexperienced to trade my coins so I will hodl until the peak and even during the correction. It's worked so far.

Great thread btw

I also hold the coin for the long term.
635  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: 0% Fee Claymore Miner Bundle! on: December 21, 2016, 02:08:31 PM
What's going to happen in the new year?

Out of budget?

We will use the Claymore directly.
636  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: AMD GPU problem on: December 16, 2016, 01:19:03 PM
I think you have tried everything. Maybe something is wrong with the card. If it has dual bios, try another bios.
637  Economy / Economics / Re: If you were in desperate need for money.... on: November 20, 2016, 05:29:31 PM
I have always worked to have money. When it was time, and even on the internet earnings was not, then I have worked hard physically and extracted what I need.

Someone would probably work for the money he needs, but not always you have that much time to work and earn the money you need desperately at that moment, so in such times you need to do something urgently like taking a loan or selling something etc, that is why it is always good to have savings.

If you already have the bitcoin and do not need it to pay for living, it is better to save it for the long term.
638  Economy / Economics / Re: If you were in desperate need for money.... on: October 26, 2016, 07:26:56 AM
If you were in desperate need for money / Bitcoins, what would you do? How to get it, earn it, whatw are your solutions and experiences? I wonder what people are ready to do when money is the problem.
Last month when I needed money I sold my bitcoins but there were occasions when I was in need of money and nothing to sell or ask anyone to lend but God always help me in various ways
If i where in despered need for money i think i would say i will go full ito the bitcoin becuase i know that you can earn allot of money with the bitcoin when youi are doing
it the right way off course otherwise you wont make any panny.

What you said is the investment in the bitcoin. But if you need money to buy food and living, you have to sell the bitcoin.
639  Economy / Economics / Re: If you were in desperate need for money.... on: October 19, 2016, 04:41:17 PM
I would think a business and take a loan in a bank. Today, you can do anything in terms of opening a business. I also plants some crops since I have a land that can gain some decent amount of money.

That is right. But the business loan is quite difficult at the momnent. They do not support small business.
640  Economy / Economics / Re: If you were in desperate need for money.... on: September 28, 2016, 05:07:58 PM
If i were in desperate need for money then I'd borrow. I mean if there is no other way and i really NEED it so if it's crucial then ill borrow.
But ofcourse I don't allow this to happen or I try to prevent it as much as is in my power.

Yeah that is right.  If you really need the money right away there is no better option than to borrow money to your friends.  And make sure to keep on your promise to pay them at the given date you promised them.  In that way there is an assurance that you have a good record to him and would lend you money again if you need it again.  But I agree with you that it is better to prevent it.  I would continue to work hard and would not buy things that I do not really need.

Do not just work hard, work smart too. Working smart means putting your money to work. While you are working hard, save some of your money and when it is large enough, start investing. If you have a right investment, you will be earning a passive income. This will make sure that you will have income even if you do not have work. MOre investments you have the better. THen there will come a time that you will not lend money from anyone anymore.

That is a good advice. I found that the HaoBTC.com offers some interest for saving the bitcoin in their site.
