621  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: No risk no reward on: December 10, 2023, 02:30:49 PM
This shouldn't surprise people because it should be understood in the first place no matter what the situation is with your investments. There's always something attached and that would be how much you are risking. That's always going to be the situation whether it's crypto or stocks or anything.

You should know that you will accept the risk once you are putting money into it. It should be learned first unless you are filthy rich lol.
622  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you believe you can win on sports betting by analyzing a betting lines only? on: December 10, 2023, 10:58:03 AM
They are definitely good analyzers when it comes to sports because they have to. If they want somehow a "fair" but profitable business, it should be done properly based on the stats that were made from previous matches. They probably have the tools to do that.

I think you can win just by betting lines but it would be hard. Luck plays a role IMO as well.
623  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Restart, is it a good thing for humanity? on: December 10, 2023, 05:25:14 AM
I like to think about it how the anime Shingeki no Kyojin, or Attack on Titan do it because of the fact that there are no weapons (The Titans) anymore but it's like humans to have that kind of conflict when something disagrees with their belief or some sort. It's always going to be there and maybe develop again someday when some people experience hurt.

If someone experiences negativity or just plain hurting, there would be vengeance and it's the circle again. Imagine experiences in your life that are small but since they hurt you, they somehow give you vengeance or something to that nature.

Restart wouldn't make that much of a difference IMO.
624  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin price $45k by ending of 2023: AI prediction on: December 10, 2023, 03:24:45 AM
Would this be a sign that it would replace those kind of trading signals? What an amazing prediction by the AI bot here. I’m pretty curious how the boat analyse this and what are the parameters that were given to it to arrive to this conclusion because it’s somehow accurate with what’s happening now. Maybe we could recreate it or improve more our skills when it comes to trading or such.
625  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: WHY PEOPLE ARE NOT TAKING THEIR PRIVACY SERIOUSLY. on: December 10, 2023, 03:01:46 AM
This is definitely not about one person's privacy but the importance of many. If you think about it, many people get scammed and their money has been transferred to a wallet and will be mixed or any of that "shady" "hide" stuff that you are talking about. To prevent that and have a hope to return it, it should be transparent and can be seen on the blockchain, which is the "decentralized" part of cryptocurrency. It's not just about "not hiding" but to be transparent is to let others know that you have nothing to hide.

This is not for selfish reasons, but for the many, I think.

Would you sow anyone your bank account transactions just because they want to see? Is it any of their business?
Of course it is a different thing to show your transactions in a "BANK" but don't you think that the essence of cryptocurrency is that it's decentralized? It's transparent. If you use it, it should be accepted that it will be transparent. Do you want to go back into the fiat system where banks are in charge and it's important that you are the client? I think you're missing the point of crypto being decentralized.
626  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: gambling for newbies on: December 08, 2023, 01:32:27 PM
Teaching how to play would be very subjective depending on the game because different games require something like a skill. Slots wouldn't need to be taught because it's really by luck and understanding is just making you understand it but in essence, there's nothing there to really teach.

For poker etc, that would require skill, depending on what you want to play and gamble with.
627  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How to view cryptocurrency prices secretly on phone? on: December 06, 2023, 08:56:58 AM
It seems like a simple problem but you are just making it more complicated than what it really is. Having applications on the phone that have widgets would be helpful. If he is not as tech-savvy, just set it up for him. If you can, buy a smartwatch, this would make things easier because there are a lot of apps and you can even set them on the home screen for the BTC price. Make him look like he is just watching the time or something lol.
628  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Slot games are a waste of time and money (most of the time) on: December 06, 2023, 01:49:37 AM
This reminds me of my failed gambling endeavor and it has made me more miserable because I just realized I wasted money for nothing. It's just that luck wasn't on my side at that time and I accepted that it's not always going to be a lucky day. Maybe next year again? I seldomly gamble but it still hurts when you lose.
629  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Winning big amount after watching streamer on: December 05, 2023, 04:24:10 PM
Wow! Did that happen to you while you the streamer did as well? Or it's just that that game is quite lucky in terms of giving out the multipliers? I would like to try that game. Stack em might be the game for me as well lol.

Good luck to us lol!
630  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Litecoin is the sleeping giant on: December 05, 2023, 03:15:49 PM
Where do you plan to get that LTC? I'm thinking of HODLing it as well making sure that it's beneficial when I own it. I would treat it as an asset just for profit not like BTC I would own it no matter the price. I agree that it can be just because. Maybe it's just a feeling lol.
631  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Beware of Clipboard Virus! on: December 04, 2023, 03:29:55 PM
It's best to triple-check when you are transacting because you can never know what you are infected with or something. It's still better to have a hardware wallet so you can check the address being sent to on the physical hardware.

Having to reformat so many times is really tiresome and still unassured that you have actually deleted that virus. Be careful.
632  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: We should start looking into Altcoins on: December 04, 2023, 05:36:52 AM
How can we see it happening when it "eventually" starts pouring to the top altcoins? What's your evidence for it?

Does a 2.1% rise in price (at the time of posting) of SOL mean that it came from BTC, of the volume?
Does a 1.5% rise in price (at the time of posting) of LINK mean that it came from BTC, of the volume?

It's hard to determine where it came from and we need to verify it at times. It's best that you find ways to show why it is happening and if it already happened.

I think if I could speaking directly to what op is saying is that he is trying to figure out that the increase in bitcoin this moment is what giving those coin listed a positive movement, and like I sense to be whenever the market terms to Green all top coin that follows the directions of bitcoin also gain more energy to change in price.
There's nothing much affecting those coin he speaking in particular just a little but still that shouldn't mean we won't look into reputable coin other than those he listed we can as well acquire more BTC at this moment because the price currently shows a good signal that BTC will hit unpredictable price.
It should be considered that a lot of altcoins are being driven up because of their exchange rates with BTC. It's more likely to increase in price and that's a good thing for us in general. Quantifying on the other hand would be even more problematic.  Shocked
633  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Should trading be for the rich? on: December 04, 2023, 05:16:34 AM
The thing to emphasize with this is the amount of money a person is trading, fully knowing and accepting to lose. Everyone should be aware that trading, whether it's cryptocurrencies, stocks, currencies, etc., there's always a risk and there's no assurance for that. So before going in to the investment, there should be an acceptance that you can lose money if you make the wrong decision.

If you are talking about the capacity or volume you make per trade, that's a different discussion.
634  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: [Overview] Bitcointalk Contests And Giveaways on: December 04, 2023, 04:33:19 AM
We know that mixer will be banned from the forum starting from January 1, 2024,
I just read from the post above by logfiles about the banning of a mixer. Where is the reference to this? The banning would start on January 1, 2024, next year. I would like to read the thread and explore it. I want to see how other people are handling it as well.

*edit
Nevermind. Found it. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5476162.0
635  Economy / Speculation / Re: Has anybody expected this? on: December 04, 2023, 04:27:23 AM
It has been a great start to the week not just for us but everyone who is looking for to invest in any cryptocurrency. Bitcoin is definitely one of the things that you could start to put money into as long as you can risk that amount. It's fun to see how many people are going to witness this and I hope that everyone is making the right choices and believing that it is the right thing.

I do hope it continues to rise.
636  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto.com app customer help down? on: December 01, 2023, 02:36:07 PM
Have you tried to check this out OP?

https://help.crypto.com/en/

Or on the website? On the lower right? I think you could chat there directly.
637  Economy / Economics / Re: Black Friday deals and your plan to hold bitcoins. on: November 28, 2023, 05:02:12 PM
It gives you the reason to buy and not to really observe HODLing or something. Because in the market, the only discount that you can get is if the market itself is on the red and the decrease in price would be enough to get you in. I think that's the best discount and I think it just happens when there's really a big event that could happen.

Don't give yourself another thing to spend on, just HODL your BTC.  Tongue
638  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin price $45k by ending of 2023: AI prediction on: November 28, 2023, 05:00:07 PM
Was this taught to the AI engines? Are there reasons for their prediction? I think it's a fun game to see how they have been able to predict that and I hope that they would be able to. As long as it's increasing in price or something, that would be great. Not that I believe that it will happen but why not, right?

Can you replicate this in any way? I would like to see those AI engines.
639  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Vs Monero - Privacy as the world becomes more dystopian on: November 27, 2023, 11:37:19 PM
There are a lot of reasons why people are opting for the more privacy part knowing that they don't want anything to be governed or any information leaked about themselves. I think a dystopia is kind of an overreaction toward what is happening because it's still not at that level where you are dehumanized or something. Fearful, maybe, but that might be because of what you are doing with it as well that's why some people are frightened of it because of their use case or application.

Node count has passed BTC and mining hash rate is growing rapidly as you don't need an Asics, just your PC.
Can you explain this further OP? I want to know what you mean by this.
640  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What one change to Bitcoin can make it's adoption faster? on: November 27, 2023, 10:30:50 AM
Is this about one change towards Bitcoin? Like how we treat it or see it as? Or the actual Bitcoin itself to change?

You should be more clear on the question because a lot of things can be interpreted with that. I think the part with you said "To Bitcoin" on the subject makes it as if to change how its technology works or anything.

I'm quite confused.
