6201  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Americans, do you regret voting for Biden? on: March 28, 2022, 06:17:23 PM
I am not American and not that much interested in their politics but since Russia started a war with Ukraine, I read the news very often and it can't seem strange if I say that I see Joe Biden very frequently on TV and social media.
When I watch this man, it's very clear that he is very old for his job and probably he suffers from Dementia. Sometimes he forgets what he wants to say, sometimes he forgets what he was actually saying and sometimes he calls Iranians to Ukrainian people.

I can't believe that in American there weren't better alternatives than Joe Biden. What was wrong with Trump that made you to choose president with Dementia?

I think you would have a tough time finding a worse leader than Joe Biden if you randomly selected someone out of the phone book.  I literally think he would be fired from a job as a Walmart greeter.  I'm not saying this to be funny.  I truly believe it.  There is no job this man could be paid to do by any actual business owner that he wouldn't be fired from.  The damage he's doing to this country is going to take several decades to fix, if it's even possible.  I never thought I'd see inflation numbers like he's responsible for in this country in my lifetime.  It's absolutely insane.

I also hate to be the crazy person in the room, but as someone who lives in Arizona and sees with my own eyes that there is literally NO SUPPORT for Joe Biden here, it's beyond humorous to think that it was even possible for him to win this state.  The idea that there wasn't voter fraud and Joe Biden, who struggled to get 100 people in his online rallies could have possibly beaten Trump who was having to turn away tens of thousands from his rallies here is an insult to the intelligence of Americans.  The world is suffering from this fraud now.  I'm terrified for my fellow citizens that there will be 2 more years of this leadership.
6202  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: March 28, 2022, 05:33:39 PM
Rough game for the Lakers yesterday. LeBron put up big numbers but they got destroyed in the second half to barely lose the game… Afterwards LeBron said that he hurt his ankle and had no explosiveness in the second half. It showed… Now we see how this will effect their playoff run as the season dwindles down to a close. Not what they needed as Anthony Davis seems to be finally ready to return to team activities… Hopefully he’s feeling better today. This could be a bust year for the Lakeshow.
6203  Economy / Services / Re: How to spot fake or forged wallet.dat? on: March 27, 2022, 11:31:40 PM
It's been stated over and over again that nobody should be buying wallet.dat files because it's a clear scam.  Even if the wallet.dat holds satoshi's keys it's likely encrypted so strongly that you'd never be able to get ahold of the contents.  I hope that nobody is paying money for these wallet files thinking they'll get money from it.  Maybe it would be a nice story to have if you were looking to fabricate a tale about having a bunch of Bitcoin or something.  I really can't see much use beyond that.  Even then, having a "forged" wallet.dat would probably do the trick just as well as the real thing.  It is somewhat immoral I think to make money from this sort of thing.
6204  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: March 27, 2022, 11:26:31 PM
Spurs won 107 - 103.

With that win, Spurs is 2 games win behind the 9th and 10th. They are still alive at the play-in tournament. Pelicans are now tied with the Lakers. From the current standing, we can already picture out what will be the teams to compete in the play-in picture.

The Spurs' next 4 games are against Rockets, Grizzlies, and Blazers 2x. They should handle these teams except for the Grizllies without a problem.

It looks like the Spurs will have a very good chance to move up to 10th place in the standings if the Pelicans lose to the Lakers in the upcoming match. Furthermore, there are only 8 games left until the end of the regular season, so there could be a very intense struggle between these teams for the last place in the play-in tournament.

It's a possibility.  I think the Pelicans are more likely but there's still plenty of time.  I don't think there will be much movement anywhere else.  If you're a Lakers fan you have to be concerned, but with Anthony Davis rumored to be returning any day now it's likely that they'll stay in the running.  I wonder if the Pelicans do advance beyond the play-in, and even past the first round, would that be grounds to give Zion a chance to get back on the floor, or would it be a leave well enough alone situation?  The recent video of Zion throwing it off the backboard and dunking showed he's getting closer to a return, but I'm sure he's got a long way to go to get back into playing shape.
6205  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: March 27, 2022, 08:40:12 AM
The joker had himself a night tonight. Jokic scored 35 points on 13-15 shooting from the field. Insane… He also added 12 rebounds and 8 assists. As much as I’d prefer Shaq’s game to Jokic’s, you can’t deny that having a center who can pass the ball and play with finesse is a great piece to have on the team. I can’t think of another center to compare his game to, and tonight he reminded everyone why he’s a former MVP as he led the Nuggets to a 6 point win over the Thunder (who surprisingly still covered the spread).
6206  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: El Salvador's President Bukele gets An 85% Approval Rating on: March 26, 2022, 04:02:26 PM
Hard to imagine a president with such a high approval rating. I’m the plus side, Joe Biden’s disapproval rating will be that high very shortly. It’s amazing to see how El Salvador is thriving under the decisions of Bukele while the United States is falling into disrepair with Biden at the helm. I always thought that President was a position that was more about PR than anything else, but these two individuals highlight the difference a President can make. I only wish we had such an open minded and forward thinking leader would could make hard decisions to advance his country for the good of it’s citizens.
6207  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: March 26, 2022, 03:59:39 PM
Goran Dragic and Seth Curry are coming back from injuries to play in todays Nets game against the Miami Heat. Miami has lost 3 straight and their frustration has been showing lately. Boiling over with Butler and Haslem going at each other on the sidelines during a game. They have have the better record but I think I’d take the Nets today. They’re playing hot and Miami is a mess. Still no Ben Simmons in the lineup but with the season winding down I think he needs to start making appearances on the court to get ready for the playoffs.
6208  Other / Meta / Re: Notification triggered by ignored user on: March 26, 2022, 03:56:30 PM
Is there a way to disable notifications about the new post, if it comes from ignored user?
On the topic page, the content is hidden, but for the each new post I receive an email (with post content inside).

This would be a welcomed addition. It’s almost like you can’t escape the harassment of certain individuals at times using only what the forum provides. You can setup rules in your email so that when certain users post on your threads it will auto delete the notification, but that’s having to go to some lengths to get away from the cries for attention from your suitors. I think adding a feature to remove notifications from ignored users would be a welcomed addition to the forum and be a step in the right direction of removing power from troublemakers.

6210  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What is your opinions about simulated reality games? on: March 26, 2022, 08:39:20 AM
I’m not interested in watching simulated reality games, but I am interested in the outcome. I know the NBA2K has become a popular franchise to simulate fantasy matchups or even current matchups or playoff possibilities. It’s always interesting to see who has a big game or which team wins. I’m not sure I could sit through watching it, but I am fascinated with the possibilities. Maybe someday virtual reality will be good enough that you’ll be able to sit courtside and watch your favorite players throughout history on the court together. Then I might be able to take part in spectating a game.
6211  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: March 26, 2022, 08:36:33 AM
Big night for James Harden in the Sixers blowout win. He led the team with 29 points and 15 rebounds while adding 7 assists. I’m not sure what was going on with him in Brooklyn, but it’s like his dip in performance was due to an unhappiness being in his requested destination and not a change in the rules. He’s back to being bailed out on drives to the hoop with free throws and putting up big numbers. I don’t believe it’s just due to him having new teammates. I feel like there was a little something else going on behind the scenes with Harden and the Nets.

6213  Economy / Goods / Re: ~ Buying a TESLA CYBERTRUCK with BITCOIN ~ on: March 26, 2022, 08:25:13 AM
Elon Musk just tweeted about a Cyber Rodeo at Giga Texas on April 7th. I think that’s pretty clear that a Cybertruck update announcement is coming soon. With any luck the factory is close enough to completion that a date can be announced for the beginning of production for the Cybertruck. At the very least I’d love an update on the pricing, models, and what sort of options are available for those who have preorders. With the discontinuation of the single motor variant and the addition of a quad motor variant, an update on the plan for potential buyers moving forward is beyond due. Looking forward to why information this event brings.

With the departure of TMAN, Lauda, Vod, marlboroza, Last of the V8s, over the last year or so, this forum has gotten rid of quite a few of the problem trolls here that add no value and make this place worse for everyone else.  I assume suchmoon will at some point also if the chipmixer campaign is removed from this forum for facilitating illegal activity, which it should be.  I'm actually surprised it hasn't been yet, but I guess money talks.  I think owlcatz is less of a troll, who just got caught up with the wrong crowd and tried to be popular among them by falling into their foolishness.  There is still hope that he can someday right his wrongs and be a good member of the community.

After watching this place go to absolute hell between 2016-2021, it's nice to see that it's getting cleaned up a bit, even if it's not the result of any forum action itself and rather by stupid personal decisions of the problem users themselves.
6215  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: ETH mining nearing end of life - When will you liquidate your rigs? on: March 25, 2022, 06:58:18 PM
No idea why you are thinking that.
Looking at whattomine.com there are still 6+ coins that are close to ETH mining profits.
And another 15 or so that will still generate some good money.
At a guess those will get crushed, but some others will probably come back up.
Monero and similar are my guess.

Not going to worry about it.

FYI there are dozens of similar posts about this very thing if you want to search a bit.

-Dave

Agreed.  I don't expect GPU mining to suddenly stop because ETH went PoS.  If anything, you may see an explosion in price of a coin like Ravencoin to enable the market to move on to the next thing.  If you were looking at selling your rigs, the time is already behind us.  Prices of ETH are on the rise and prices of GPUs are on the decline for more than a month now.  As the price of ETH rises more and GPUs continue to fall in price, you get a double loss on what you could have sold them for.  No amount of mining in this period will make up for that loss.  So basically, if you're planning to sell your rigs, do so ASAP.  If you're planning to continue mining, don't worry about it.  The market will create opportunities.  That's what it does.
6216  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [BOXING]: RYAN GARCIA vs EMMANUEL TAGOE - April 9 on: March 25, 2022, 06:55:40 PM
I totally agree, Garcia has all the advantage but who knows, maybe Tagoe will be on his best against Ryan and maybe put everything he have in this fight.
That's a huge upset if Tagoe would beat Garcia, and since Garcia has some kind of mental problem, a possible loss might make his problem gets bigger and could end his career. Sorry, my imagination is very negative, but I'm just thinking of a possible scenario here.

Mental problem?  Garcia has always seemed very sharp to me.  Maybe I missed something in the news but I don't see his mental state keeping him down in any fights.  He's one of the quickest punchers out right now.  A little too small to get me interested in his fights, but as far as being a technical fighter goes, he's right up there with Floyd (although lacking quite a bit in other areas from Floyd).  I expect Garcia to win this fight and move on to the next one.  He seems like he's a guy who has a rising career and is just stacking wins at this point on his way to something greater.
6217  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [BOXING] Logan Paul vs Mike Tyson on: March 25, 2022, 06:53:40 PM
@OP (mirakal) which this thread should be locked since it is not really that sensible on making up some discussions in related to this fight since it wont really happen.

Legendary boxer Mike Tyson won’t be stepping into the ring with social media star Jake Paul, a representative for the former champion told Forbes
https://www.forbes.com/sites/marisadellatto/2022/01/17/no-mike-tyson-is-not-fighting-jake-paul-representative-says/?sh=6efc7fd92cf7

It is finalized and concluded that he wont be fighting a social media star. Cool

I agree, this thread should be locked/closed for good because Iron Mike already said that he won't be returning in the ring anymore doing some fights, for good and I don't either doubt that Mike's decision will change somehow in the future especially his age are also increasing as time goes by.

Many people and fans have hoped to see the legendary boxer fighting once again the ring but sadly, he refused to do it.

I just saw a more recent interview with Mike where he didn't refuse to fight, he just named his price and said to leave him alone unless you have it ready to go up front.  His price you ask?  $1,000,000,000.00.  Basically, he's saying he won't do it, but you never know I guess.  Maybe Elon Musk will wake up and decide he wants to see Iron Mike knock out Jake Paul so he ponies up the billion.

It should be noted that Mike's comments were in relation to Jake Paul, not Logan.  It has been stated already quite a few times that the Logan Paul rumor was nothing more than talk on a podcast and that the two teams never discussed a fight.
6218  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why offline casino go online? Thoughts? on: March 25, 2022, 06:50:29 PM
The reasons for an "offline" casino to go "online" is the same as any business and I don't think it's primarily pandemic related, I think the pandemic just pushed society in that direction.  Business go online because 1) online businesses typically have much lower costs and larger profit margins, 2) online businesses can reach more people and open your business up to new clients all over the world.  With crypto, it has enabled gambling businesses to go online much easier than before.  We've reached the point in our society where businesses basically have to be online now to survive.  If your business can't be found with a Google search, it's pretty hard for you to make it...
6219  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: March 25, 2022, 06:47:10 PM

Well, at least the Heat have now improved as a team. They have Lowry, if Butler cannot carry the team in his shoulder, there's always one veteran would make the team still competitive at a high level. That's the reason why they signed Lowry, it's because of his playoff experience and he is also a one time champion.

Lowry can guide those young core of Miami, if Butler has an issue carrying the team Lowry can help.

Bam and the rest of the team were still there. They can all help each other to move forward. No need to limit the rotation, I know Coach Spoelstra will have a good strategy in case help or adjustment needs to be done inside the team.

They are the number now, they just need to work things out again and not to allow any possible issue to affect their performance.

Butler fighting with Haslem and Spolestra on the bench the other night doesn't bode well for their team as we wind down the season.  When Jimmy Butler starts getting toxic, that's when teams fall apart.  You don't have to look any further than Minnesota to see that.  I think Miami is probably already looking at what to do with Jimmy and I doubt he'll be back next season.  Haslem is pretty much the heart of the Miami franchise, so picking a fight with him during a game is probably not the best career decision.  He has great abilities on the court, but he never seems to find a situation where he's happy and his teams have struggled as a result.  I don't think Miami will be any different.  He's just not a professional when it comes to the locker room.
6220  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: RTX 3080 and 3070 Ti cooling on: March 24, 2022, 07:44:44 PM
What is the best thermal pad upgrade for RTX3070 Ti and RTX3080 graphic cards that can take -30°C off the factory memory temp? My second question is can the liquid cooling work of these two cards ?

I think your expectations might be a bit high for reducing your temperatures by -30°C with a thermal pad upgrade.  Sounds like there might be something else going on if you're trying to get such an enormous temperature drop from such a simple upgrade.  What's your goal?  Are temps the problem or is sound the problem?  Liquid cooling is definitely a good option if you want to spend the money, but unlikely to pay for itself unless the alternative is to not mine.  You could do the liquid cooled option to replace your GPU's blower, or you could go with an immersion cooling setup if you're trying to be next level.  There's a good thread on that going around here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5385291.0
