Now the wait for Ben Simmons to join them on the court.

As far as I know, Simmons still can't do anything on the court due to injury. So we shouldn't hope for his return because there are only 9 games left before the end of the regular season. By the way, the funny thing is that if the Nets finish the regular season in their current position in the standings and win the first game in the play-in tournament, they will play against the 76ers in the first round of the playoffs.

Simmons can play already but probably he is still under training with the team, they won't just inset him if he is not yet ready. However, since the playoffs are coming and they want to be an improve team, for sure Simmons will have his minutes earn in his new team now.

Durant and Irving can handle the current situation, Simmons just have to rest and get ready when he is called.

On the contrary, I think he should play already if he can, specially prior to the playoffs, it will be difficult for him to re-adjust in the playoff if he or the team chooses to play him that time. Just play 10 minutes, and get a feel of the new team, for sure the instincts will come to play hard just like he is with the Sixers.
I don't think it's his discretion that will be follow whether he will play or not, he is already under the contract of the Nets and I think he is obligated to play whenever the team tells him to play. My speculation is, he is still not ready, probably both physically and mentally, but as per report, we can expect him to play this month, and if that would not happen, then expect by the following month.

Durant and Irving have lost their game against the Grizzlies with Morant, so definitely Simmons is needed to help.

That was a bad game for them, so they need to win their next game, if they have Simmons the better but if not, they have to maximize what they have currently.

We've seen 4 players scored 20+ or more in the Warriors showing that they can still be a deadly team without their core players.
It's their system that gave them the win, when the star players are not playing, there's no star player in the court and anyone could shoot the ball so the ball movement is very efficient leading to more open shots. Or, my theory is the Heat may not play it seriously as they are too overconfident they could beat the short-handed Warriors.
Well, that is why Coach Steve Kerr is one of the best coaches of all time alongside Coach Spo and Coach Pop.
His system is a perfect fit for the whole Warriors team and it will continue to be like that as long as he is the head coach of the team.

Los Angeles Lakers are trying their best to stay in the area to be able to qualify for the playoffs. But they got another disappointing loss last night against Philadelphia 76ers this time. It was a loss by 121-126 home and 76ers' second half effort was really superb that it had a big role in this victory. Lebron James couldn't play due to injury. And I saw D. Howard playing this much good for the first time after a long break. Harden and Embiid had a really good day and made big contributions to 76ers.
When Lebron is injured, the Lakers are done for the season and that is a fact.
Aside from him, nobody in the team can step up and carry the team. Who can? Westbrook who is very inconsistent all throughout the season. No one can carry the team aside from Lebron or maybe if Davis and Westbrook plays together. Lebron is also the starting Center of the team and since he is injured, its obvious that Howard is their second option thus they gave him more playing time. I just hope that Lebron will be back in their next game against the Pelicans and its a must win for them or they will go down to 10th spot.

Even before James got injured, we all know that something is wrong with the team, the chemistry, playing small and then the whole Westbrook fiasco (bad shooting performance, lots of errors).

So it's obvious that when James was sideline, half of their feet was already on not making the playoffs and now they are down in the playoff spot. And even if Davis comes back to play, it will be very difficult to overhaul the current state of the team.

Exactly because that has been the role of James ever since, he always leads the team he is playing with and he commands the team on the floor, without him the team would struggle. In the seasons that Lebron is playing with the Lakers, we always see that when he is down, the whole team is not the same anymore, good example is his first season with the team.

Now, they can still compete even without Davis, but they are not a championship team anymore.

The reason why they sign Davis is because they want to build a championship team, and they succeeded on that.

Chris Paul is back. Phoenix Suns are once again the powerful team in the Western Conference.
He always fixes the problem the Suns have and that is to calm things down and let the game be in their own pace. It worked as he was not needed in the last minutes of the game after he secured a good lead ahead.
The veteran being a veteran in terms of being a good leader and as the playmaker. High chance they may take the championship this year and I am betting on it. I am a Nuggets fan, but damn he is good.

James is consistent on his individual stats and achievements, but unlike before, he alone cannot carry a team especially with a lot of young talents in the league today.
The Lakers this year is a mess, just like what you say, they are bothered with a lot of injuries, team chemistry, and the persistency of Frank's small line up that didn't even worked once.

It's just funny how Shaq made a bold prediction that If the Lakers makes it to the 8th seed, they're going to beat the Suns lol.

That is true. But carrying a team is not his job anymore, that's for the young guys to do. Without Anthony Davis they need someone else to help out.
I agree with the bad decision of Coach Vogel about the small lineup. He even tried making Lebron as a center which I bet will be more exhausting for him considering his age.
Dwight Howard is doing good but I just can't seem to find the reason why they are keeping him on the bench. They had a close game against the 76ers with him participating and even recorded 24 points in 28 minutes. The only problem I see is they only use him when they are playing teams with big men as superstars like 76ers and Nuggets. That should stop.

On point analysis and can’t argue with the comment to Chris Paul, He is a very good leader and one of my favorite veteran player that still has a good performance compared to other player that same his draft pick batch. Suns is really lucking of a good leader coming from an experienced player, we witnessed thins weakness on last year NBA finals which they choke when there enemy team already gain the momentum in the game. This time Chris Paul can calm his team mates in times of uncertainty and his team can rely on him to control the game whatever the situation is.

Long time suns didn't go to finals and that time was really a huge challenge to them that's why maybe they got pressure while the game is rolling. But even if they lose still that's huge achievement to their organization and might we can see more better performance if they can reach back again to finals. For now they need to be consistent on their games and win until they reach to finals.

Looks like they are at the right path, even without CP3, they are still winning games and was able to keep their good standing which is in the number 1 spot. The win against the Nuggets was a big statement how ready they are in the playoffs, most likely these two will meet again and we already have an idea which team is better.

Well, we all agree with what you said regarding the current state of the team and its state when James is injured.
Chemistry isn't there. Westbrook isn't playing like what most of the analysts and fans are expecting. Davis is injury prone and obviously James can't carry the whole team without any help from other players.

I will not be surprised though if the Lakers can't clinch into the playoffs because on how they are playing the whole regular season. I think Davis' comeback can give some spark to the team (kinda optimistic with him) but still isn't enough for them to be added in the championship conversation. I just hope that the Laker fans isn't disappointed on how they played this season or... there are some who just became a Laker fan because Lebron is there isn't it? Bandwagons Cheesy

Exactly, because their struggle has been so consistent all season long.

I believe it's too late for him, he has not been so active and playoffs are more physical, so most likely, he might get injured again, or if he would be careful, that would decrease his energy level in the game.

They should stop that. Howard was still in shape and he really giving his best each time they allow him to play.

Maybe it's also the coach who needed to adjust or needs to be replaced. He is not doing any good up to now. The team's overall performance

is not what the fans expect them to see. They are still at risk not moving to the next round, play in might be a good answer, but west are

full of heavy weights, a tough competitor to face and chance is too slim for them.

I also like the system of Miami Heat but I don't see Butler to be a good leader of the team, for me, he doesn't have a killer instinct like Curry who can lead the team, Butler is just too soft being a star, that's why he was not able to stay in one team only.

I also like the system of Miami Heat but I don't see Butler to be a good leader of the team, for me, he doesn't have a killer instinct like Curry who can lead the team, Butler is just too soft being a star, that's why he was not able to stay in one team only.

Well, at least the Heat have now improved as a team. They have Lowry, if Butler cannot carry the team in his shoulder, there's always one veteran would make the team still competitive at a high level. That's the reason why they signed Lowry, it's because of his playoff experience and he is also a one time champion.

they are the number 1 team in the east, so that's obviously a big improvement compared to last season.

Lowry alone could not carry a team, he always have a buddy to accomplish succcess. Like when he won a championship with the Raps, he has Leonard playing with him, and like also in his early season with the Raptors, he also have DeRozan as his buddy.

Surprised to see that CP3 is back, and his presence alone is enough for the underdog Suns to win a big games against the road. Yeah, he really did lead the team, when the Nuggets are trying to get back at the game in the 4th, he calm the team, and make it a slow game, which is very advantageous for him. His basketball IQ is really one of the best right now. No doubt why they are the best team in the West and in the NBA right now. And I will not be surprised if they will reach the finals this year or even win the NBA championship for CP3.

Lowry can guide those young core of Miami, if Butler has an issue carrying the team Lowry can help.

Bam and the rest of the team were still there. They can all help each other to move forward. No need to limit the rotation, I know Coach Spoelstra will have a good strategy in case help or adjustment needs to be done inside the team.

They are the number now, they just need to work things out again and not to allow any possible issue to affect their performance.

They are on a 2 game losing streak now, the Bucks, the Sixers and Celtics are chasing them and it's going to be close as to who will be the top seed in the East also if I'm not mistaken they have the numbers against those team so they may have to end as the number 1 seed.

Nevertheless, it's not good to end the regular season with a losing skid, they have to find a way to win again. I think this is still Jimmy Butler's team, he can lead the team together with the experience of Lowry. They just have to be consistent, and they have the Sixth man of the year in Tyler Hero so this time is still solid in my opinion, perhaps they are on a struggle and just needed to win in order to bring back their confidence.

I don't think he is a soft star, he just want to be the alpha of the team, and for me he has the killer instinct, we have seen in the bubble already. They give Lebron and AD everything they can handle in the finals.

One thing that I noticed though is that they are similar with the Jazz, too much fire power that it's hard to balance everything. Specially that Victor Oladipo is playing as well. So it will be hard for coach Spo to adjust with so many good to great players in his roster.

There was an incredible game last night between Nuggets and Suns. It was so delightful that we watched 270 points in total which seemed like one of the all-star games in NBA. And Suns were the winner in their game away against Nuggets by 140-130. Honestly, there was a solid rivalry until the last quarter of the game. But in the last quarter, Suns started overwhelming them and made a big difference. And when it comes to making a big difference, Devin Booker's performance was superb! He scored 49 points and made 10 assists too.

Butler fighting with Haslem and Spolestra on the bench the other night doesn't bode well for their team as we wind down the season.  When Jimmy Butler starts getting toxic, that's when teams fall apart.  You don't have to look any further than Minnesota to see that.  I think Miami is probably already looking at what to do with Jimmy and I doubt he'll be back next season.  Haslem is pretty much the heart of the Miami franchise, so picking a fight with him during a game is probably not the best career decision.  He has great abilities on the court, but he never seems to find a situation where he's happy and his teams have struggled as a result.  I don't think Miami will be any different.  He's just not a professional when it comes to the locker room.
