We will see people selling of a little but because they were burned when they bought above 100 USD. I gues we will see a drop to 110 USD in the near future Actually the run-up is a lot slower than it was during the March-April surge. Then, it went from 70 to 140 in only a few days. This time, it took the best part of two months. It feels a lot less mad this time around. btc almost doubled since the first week of july. if it keeps rising like this... beginning of november: 280,- $ beginning of january: more then 500,- $ i would buy if i had funds  |

Jeder Mensch auf der Erde kann zwar rechnerisch keine ganze Bitcoin besitzen aber extrem viele Satoshis.
Falls das Thema mal akut wird hat die Welt jedoch sicher ernstere Probleme.
man überweist 0,00000001 BTC und zahlt 0,005 BTC Transaktionsgebühr tolles system! lol, wenn wir bei einzelnen satoshis sind (also bei einem hypotethischen btc kurs von über 100 000,- €) dann wird die transaktionsgebühr doch angepasst. die aussage erinnert mich an einen zeitungsartikel vor kurzem. da stand, dass bitcoin ungeeignet wären für online-shops. begründung war, dass bei der hohen volatilität dem kunden nicht zu vermitteln wäre, dass er für einen artikel heute 100,- € und morgen 150,- € bezahlen müsse, weil der kurs so schwanken würde.  |

Weis nicht obs ins Thema passt, aber da es Spekulation ist, sollte es in dieser Rubrik hier richtig sein.
Aktuell gibt es eine Info, das NSA auf 53 Milliarden Jahresbudget zuückgreifen kann. Da ja immer mal wieder aufkommt, der Staat würde gerne eingreifen, aber das wäre bei Bitcoin nicht möglich. 1,6Milliarden Dollar sind die btc momentan Wert.
Wenn also ein Land wie die USA gegen Bitcoins wären, wäre es schon lange weg vom Fenster. Momentan sieht nichts danach aus, das sie es unterbinden wollten. Und wenn, werden wir es nicht verhindern können. Wir können nur Bitcoins aufgeben, was neues austüfteln und damit spekulieren.
Nehmen wir an, NSA wollte alle Coins aufkaufen, würden sie mit weniger als 3 Milliarden dran kommen. den der Kurs würde erst gegen Ende des Volumens hochgehen. die ersten 50% würde man für weniger als 200Dollar bekommen, erst dann geht es so Richtung 500 Dollar rauf. Es ist recht schnell dann soweit das kaum noch Coins da sind und die wenigen werden "gehortet" was den Kurs zwar hochjagd, aber keine Substanz dahinter. Ist ja nicht so, das dort nur Volltrottel arbeiten, die nichts können. Es wäre also peanuts, die Menschen dazu zu bringen, den Glauben und das Vertrauen an Bitcoins zu verlieren. Die paar die am Ende sich nicht irre machen lassen, reichen nicht, den Coin am Leben zu erhalten.

proposal bitcoin itself and this forum especially can be a fun hobby. we have the impression that, with all those serious discussions/fights, the fun part is sometimes somewhat missing. the when-bitcoin-reaches-1000 $-party is 100% dedicated to the FUN part ! the following are proposals only and we are open for suggestions. planning an event for 500 or 1000 people is not possible with complete consent on every little detail, so relax. the most important thing will be to have a hell of a party with all of you, being staged in a professional and secure manner. if you really really hate this idea just fuck off keep counting your precious coins and polish your lone wolf image...  timing/trigger our current plan is to play it this way: everything should get armed and ready to rumble within the next coming weeks and months. as soon bitcoin reaches 1000 $ and stays there for 30 days in a row (bitstamp $ 24 h average) this will be our trigger. since everything has been set up during the waiting period, after ignition triggers we will only need 6 -8 additonal weeks to actually unleash this monster. Hallo, bin neu hier im Forum, allerdings bei vielen Internet-Sachen ein "first adopter" (ich hatte meinen ersten Internetzugang 1991...), und habe einige gelungene und nicht gelungene Implementierungen gesehen. Hier ein paar Gedanken zu "Bitcoin", vor allem zu den teils optimistischen Annahmen, dass es sich um ein Phänomen mit einiger Bandbreite handeln wird: 1) Usability: Nur ein Beispiel: Für ein Massenphänomen ist die einfache Nutzung wichtig, wobei auch die Nutzergruppen entscheidend sind. Mit dem damaligen "Mosaic"-Browser führte z.B. das WWW ein Schattendasein, da es nicht genug Leute gab, die Webseiten halbwegs ansprechend designen wollten bzw. konnten bzw. darauf ihre Energien verwenden wollten, während die Internetnutzer damals überwiegend aus Linux-Kommandozeilen-Freaks bestand, und die Übertragung von Grafiken zudem über 14.400-bps-Modems auch lange dauerte. Übertragen auf Bitcoin würde dies bedeuten: Rasches Zahlen mit einem Klick auf derselben Oberfläche (siehe Amazon, Paypal, giropay, sofortüberweisung usw.) würde jedem begreiflich machen, was er da tun muss. "Rufen Sie ihren Bitcoin-Client auf" ist schon zu kompliziert, da rufen viele sicherlich sogar die Hotline ihre Zugangsproviders an... Hier kann man sicherlich entsprechende Plattformen schaffen. 2) Handelstransparenz, auch der Akteure: Derzeit erhalte ich beim Gox ein bis zwei Euro mehr pro Bitcoin als bei bitcoin.de. Was ich als Nutzer erst später erfahre, ist, dass der Gox mir Euros auf mein deutsches Konto per Sepa erst ca. zwei Wochen nach Anforderung überweist, weil nach seinen Angaben seine polnische Bank nur begrenzt Geld überweist. Legitime Gründe kann sich nun jeder spekulativ aussuchen; außerdem schrieb er mir eine SEPA-Überweisung dorthin auch nur mit sehr deutlicher Verzögerung gut. Bei Bitcoin.de handele ich mit Privatpersonen, und da geht auch nichts sofort; Bitstamp gibt eine Londoner Adresse an - ohne Handelsregister oder gar Lizenznummer im Impressum; dagensia.eu ist völlig offensichtlich in Tschechien lizenziert (lt. Zentralbank) und funktioniert rasch, macht aber auch keine Angaben zu irgendeiner Einlagensicherung. Zum Gox habe ich nur irgendeine Anschrift im besten zentralen Bezirk Tokyos und kann auch nicht überprüfen, ob da nur im übertragenen Sinne ein Briefkasten im Hausflur hängt. In der "normalen" Finanzwelt ist man zwar auch nicht vor Überraschungen gefeit - auch der Madoff oder die Lehman Brothers waren genehmigt und galten als gute Adressen. Dennoch kann ich mir unter der Deutschen Bank oder der Sparkasse Donaueschingen etwas konkreteres vorstellen. Wenn die ersten größeren Adressen mit Bitcoins handeln würden, würde das auch Vertrauen herstellen. 3) Sinn und Zweck: Das Tulpenbeispiel war schon nicht ganz falsch. Wieso sollte jemand Bitcoins kaufen? Auch wenn ich in Kreuzberg ein paar Gummibärchen davon kaufen kann, mache ich es doch lieber mit Bargeld, das bekomme ich am Automaten und muss auf meinem Handy keine App installieren, und hantiere mit der Recheneinheit, die ich auch tagtäglich nutzen muss, und in der ich mein Gehalt erhalte, und die in meiner Umgebung jeder akzeptiert. Es gibt wohl nur ein paar Gründe, Bitcoin zu besitzen, die mir einfallen: a) Early-Adopter-Freude: Man liebt Technik und schafft sich neben technischen Gadgets (wie so etwas: Blitzortungsgerät im Eigenbau) eben auch ein paar Bitcoins an, um die Idee zu unterstützen und einfach die technische Freude zu empfinden. b) Spekulation: Wertaufbewahrung in der Hoffnung, dass Bitcoins etwas wert werden. c) Bezahlung jenseits der Regulierung: Casino, Pillen, Webseiten-Hostung für "graue" Zwecke, usw. Die verfolgten Dissidenten dürften hier unter den Nutzern die Minderheit bilden. Die sind das Gegenschlagwort zu Geldwäsche, Terrorismusfinanzierung usw. d) Geldwäsche: Wohl eher weniger geeignet, wegen der geringen Volumina und Transaktionsmöglichkeiten. Da sind die klassischen Methoden risikoärmer (Massenkauf von teurem Schmuck gegen Bargeld; Betrieb von Betrieben, denen niemand wirklich nachweisen kann, dass sie in Wahrheit niedrigere Bargeldeinnahmen als angegeben haben, etc.). Der große Bitcoin-Hype fiel übrigens zeitlich nicht mit der Aktion gegen "Liberty Reserve" zusammen, die erst im Mai stattfand. Bitcoin könnte allerdings ggfs. eine "Verwendungsnische" finden, an die derzeit noch keiner denkt, die es aber vielleicht für "große Akteure" interessant macht. Solche urplötzlichen breite Nutzungen nach entsprechender Einführung eines Anwendungsnutzens gab es in der Geschichte des Internet häufiger: a) WWW: Wurde erst richtig verbreitet, als Microsoft begann, den "Internet Explorer" mit dem Betriebssystem zu verbreiten, wohl in der Absicht, eigene proprietäre Formate im WWW zu verbreiten, damit dann wiederum eigene Entwicklersoftware und perspektivisch eigener Content vermarktet werden konnte. Microsoft tat dies übrigens, nachdem der eigene, proprietäre Netzwerkdienst "Microsoft Network", der nichts mit dem Internet zu tun hatte, aber bei Win95 vorinstalliert wurde und sauteuer war, nicht angenommen wurde. b) PayPal: Wurde nur zögerlich angenommen, nachdem Ebay dies als Zahlungsdienst etabliert hatte. Als erweiterte Garantien für Ebay-Käufe mit der Nutzung verknüpft wurden und die Etablierung durch einstweilige Kostenfreiheit gefördert wurde, verbreitete sich der Zahlungsdienst langsam; richtig attraktiv wurde er Jahre nach seiner Einführung erst, als man kein PayPal-Konto mehr benötigte. c) Tablets: Waren, solange es mobil nicht zu erschwinglichen Preisen schnelle Datenverbindungen gab, relativ nutzlos. Zu Hause und am Arbeitsplatz hatte man einen PC, unterwegs reichte das Handy. Ohne Möglichkeiten der Datenspeicherung in Clouds, deren Nutzung relativ nahtlos über das Tablet läuft, und halbwegs standardisierte App-Umgebungen würden Tablets auch kaum Verwendungsmöglichkeiten finden. Apple hat das Tablet allerdings bekanntlich nicht erfunden. Umgekehrt behalten überholte Technologien auch "Verwendungsnischen", weil sie für einige Sonderzwecke die passendste Lösung sind. Ein Beispiel bildet das Radio, das für die Unterhaltung beim Autofahren (oder auch an manchen Arbeitsplätzen) praktisch ohne Alternative ist. Nur meine paar Cent dazu ... guter post, weiter so ! |

i bought 100 coins 2011 just before the bubble, didn´t sell, then mtgox got hacked, account locked,.. i just forgot about this stupid crap, truly ashamed of having thrown real money out a digital window.
march 2013 someone starts talking to me about bitcoin and it takes a while before i recall this japanese scam site where ... and he says mtgox- the biggest exchange - and bitcoin just reached 55,- €.
uhh, more than 5 k € out of nowhere ! i contacted mtgox - the coins were still there! i cashed out immediatley thinking what a lucky day...
then i stared at the chart and saw it rising. looked like it was rising for a longer time... uupps... wtf... so i bought back and lost 10 btc in the first few moments touching them. then i started reading about it...

Where there is world conflict BTC rises for some reason,whether financial or security based issues .The only thing I'd be concerned about is Mtgox still has significant ability to influence the value of BTC somewhat and this means we still have some ways to go before having relevant exchanges instead of just one controlling the value.
