6221  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: ethereum and stellar on: August 18, 2019, 09:18:46 PM
seeing the current market conditions are very unstable and I see no growth in price values for ethereum and stellar which is very good, but every day the two coins actually fall in price. whether the two coins are good for us to invest

I would say that Ethereum has a higher chance of bouncing back after hitting it's low this year. There are still investors within this coin even projects has a lot of ETH are their wallet and just waiting for the right time to liquidate.

Both coins are good for investing from a fundamental point of view. But technically ... Falling prices may not be the right signal to buy. Since January 2018, both coins are in a downtrend vs BTC. Even large trading volumes in the spring of 2019 did not stop these trends.
You should think carefully before investing when the market is falling.

What do you mean that falling price is not a good signal to buy? If you have bought Ethreum in the $80 range, then definitely you have been profiting by this time. But if you are aiming for more profit next year then definitely HODL and then continue to accumulate. As far as I know smart investors are doing this strategy. Buy/HODL, rinse and repeat.
6222  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Price Could Surpass $15,000 This Week: Max Keiser on: August 18, 2019, 09:08:19 PM
Has Max Keiser's week already passed? I reckon that he might be competing versus Tom Lee as the most inaccurate, comical and most hated human bitcoin price predictor in the cryptospace hehehe.

yes it has and as i have expected... btc has not passed 15k - sideways with a little bit down movement. am i a guru now?  Grin This predictions are to funny, in the end no one knows what will happen... and calling a 3k pump in a week is a bit very optimistic.
~ snip ~

The market is just so much volatile that it could really get very difficult to predict, but I believe that something will surely happen that will make the price to surge, maybe we could even be lucky to get the bull run this time around.

True, it is so volatile that we have traded along the range of $3200-$13000 in the last five months or so. But I'm still banking that the Bakkt news will surely bring potential investors in the market. Fresh blood that will boost the price next month, thus continuing this mini bull run we have seen so far. We might not touch new ATH at the end of the year. But it will carry enough momentum in 2020 prior to the halvening, so lets see if those predictions will hit their mark.
6223  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you think 40% bonus is too much for early Investors? on: August 18, 2019, 08:58:20 PM
In some cases where a token price crashes soon after listing on the Exchange, the blames has over time been attributed to the bounty hunters and sometimes to early investors that received certain bonuses.

Do you think 40% bonus for early investors is too much and capable of crashing token price?

Nah, I don't think that 40% bonus for early investors is too big. And why would it be capable of crashing the token price? Is the project expecting a massive dump from the early investors? That's why they are called investors, then put money and expect more money in return. Besides, this is a free market, everyone can do whatever they want as long as it is legal. And I think blaming bounty hunters and investors for the massive dump has been discuss many times here in this community, so stay blaming and pointing fingers.
6224  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis League All Thread on: August 18, 2019, 08:38:22 PM
Yeah I was thinking the same with the Djokovic match however he was just too good for Carreno Busta. It is looking like Djokovic will win this tournament with almost all the top seeds going out in the early rounds except for Medvedev who might be the one to stop Djokovic.

Medvedev vs Djokovic in the semis. Medvedev defeated Rublev 6-2,6-3, and judging by the score, it looks like it was a easy match for him. So it will be a thriller, we will see if he will stop Djokovic as he is also playing good and high level tennis. Djokovic won against Poullie to set up the match.

Yep I am over Kyrgios, that is why I didn't mention it here because like we have been saying he can never control himself after winning a tournament. I just don't understand why he can't continue on with it after winning a tournament. Anyway enough said about him for now as he needs to learn to control himself a lot more and not let things get to him but not sure if he ever will.

He should never play professional tennis with that kind of attitude. I don't think that there will be a chance for him to change his mentality or behaviour inside the tennis court.

I'm watching the Djokovic and Medvedev match now and Djokovic is looking the goods right now after taking the first set 6-3 and currently in the second set it is 1-1 so hopefully Medvedev can fight back and push Djokovic to three sets.

Yes he was push to 3 sets, unfortunately it was Medvedev who won the match, 6-3, 3-6, 3-6, everyone thought that Medvedev is out, but he manage to have his second wind in the second and third set. Good call though, as you have been saying that Medvedev is really playing good tennis this week and could be the one to emerge as the most likely have the potential to be in top after the veterans retire. He will now play Goffin for the finals, Medvedev need to be aggressive in the beginning and not give Goffin a chance to have a momentum if he wanted to win the tournament.
6225  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Andy Ruiz vs Anthony Joshua II on: August 17, 2019, 10:40:09 PM
Eddie Hearn warns Andy Ruiz Jr to honour Saudi venue for Joshua fight

Eddie Hearn has warned Andy Ruiz Jr he must honour the contract for his rematch with Anthony Joshua in Saudi Arabia after the Mexican-American insisted the bout would take place in the United States.

https://www.theguardian.com/sport/2019/aug/14/eddie-hearn-andy-ruiz-anthony-joshua-rematch-saudi-warns
Ruiz dont want no part of a Saudi Arabia rematch he says bring it back to America

There could be legal battle here if Andy Ruiz doesn't want to go to Saudi Arabia. On the other hand, maybe he just wanted more money, after all he is the champion here. But make no mistake about it, Anthony Joshua here is still the A-side so if I'm Andy Ruiz he should be better moving his ass and fight in Saudi and prove that he fight is no fluke.

Ruiz might be hyping the fight so that he is showing that kind of attitude. Yes, maybe he just wanted more money being offered to him because he is the champion. But he needs to realized that he sign a contract that a rematch would happen. He might not agree with the venue, but he doesn't want to go to a legal battle here because in the end it will just damage his career and reputation. He is acting like a diva now, I think upsetting Joshua and winning the belt gets into his mind and it is not a healthy sign.
6226  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Bitcoin Bangladesh on: August 17, 2019, 10:23:14 PM
~snip~

If I were you if you have the chance to liquidate all of your crypo assets now you should do it. You know that the country you are living in labeled cryptocurrencies as a illegal tender and also cannot be traded. Once they found out you have one expect that you will also be charged to the crimes you didn't commit like money-laundering, terrorism, and tax evasion because even if they didn't find any evidence against you just holding a cryptocurrency is enough for you to be charged on all of them.

And that is what we are trying to convey with him, he is in a country wherein the government is anti-bitcoin. And if you involved yourself and the government finds out, then they can charged him. He can go underground, but the moment the government find out what he is doing, then its over.

OP wants the banks to support cryptos even after their government declared it as illegal.I think he is not aware of what is the crypto currencies actually if he knows then he won't argue that banks need to support cryptos.

Did you really get the point? It is illegal, then how can a bank in that country support it?
6227  Economy / Speculation / Re: No Friday Feeling For Bitcoin As It Falls Back to Four Figures on: August 17, 2019, 10:10:54 PM
These are minor fluctuations. I checked the price yesterday when it was above $10k. I checked bit today and also saw it above. I did not even notice that for some time it went to 4 figures. I think people tend to believe that $10k is a justified price for Bitcoin, there is strong support at this level. And unless something devastating happens, I don't think we'll see the price significantly below $9k anytime soon if ever.

5 figure price seems to have a strong support, although it really went below but quickly bounce back as investors took advantage of this situation and buy it back at a discount price. It even went as high as $10,4xx, however, bears pull it back by shorting it again.

BTC below $10k is very good entry for long-term view of the price. I think the best entry for BTC is between $7k and $8k, I will go all-in if BTC drop there

I don't know if we are going to drop on that levels. As I have said 5 figure price has a strong support. Just be cautious though of saying that you will go all-in, market is still very volatile and you don't want to see all money suddenly vanish. So it's a bad idea, much better if you buy small portions at every dip and continue to accumulate.
6228  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Many new traders are playing to lose on: August 17, 2019, 10:02:30 PM
Are you playing to lose or you are playing to win? a friend of mine lose all his bitcoin to trading and when he started complaining about i decide to take a look and i detected that he traded in a gambler's way.
He has 100$ and he traded just twice with 50$ which results in quick lose,im not an trading expert but most trading platforms always warn traders to limit their trading to the highest of 10$ which would have given him more chances to continue trading

Perhaps your friend didn't know what trading it, he just jump on the bandwagon and putting his money on crypto exchange. This game is not really for the feint of heart, you really need to educate your self specially if you are a newbie. You can call it gambling, but here in trading you can mitigate your risk many ways.

Apart from not learning how trading works he is playing to lose,i think this is what many newbies are doing as well,if you are doing the same you will always end up losing your money,if you want to bet 50$ on a trade you must have thousands  of dollars on the trading platform not trading with 100$ and be praying for a miracle.

Trading is not something you can rush, expert traders out there spend days trading for profits and if a particular day is full of loss they quit trading for that day.

Exactly, you need to take it slow in trading and not thinking of profit early one. Learn in the beginning, but make it a habit not to repeat your previous mistakes, and then read, not just spend your money here, but spend some time and understand how everything works, stop/loss strategy or even learn when to enter and then get out on time before you loss all your money.
6229  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Inspiring Bitcoin Start Up Story on: August 17, 2019, 09:54:16 PM
They are trying to accomplish something that would be really powerful to the crypto space, and doing so without releasing a token. This is really impressive, even if the project loses speed.
I admire their journey and honesty, but without the proper finances it's a gamble regardless of the problems they try to solve, therefore I don't rule out that they eventually will come up with a token to boost their finances.

Another possibility is that they receive donations from the community, but for that to happen you need to deliver at least something. It's not enough to work on something that we all like when it doesn't grow further than just an idea.

I understand the dislike of projects launching tokens left and right, but that at least motivates them to deliver and keep working. We have seen how the bear market bankrupted hundreds of projects because they were broke.

Both of the founders have made a lot of sacrifices in order to work on the project which is all of the motivation that they will need.

They got the needed funding and with that kind of attitude, all the sacrifice that they have done not just for themselves but for their families as well are going to be worth it. They are motivated not by the money but by the product they have envisioned that could potentially change bitcoin in the future. With that, its enough for them to really push hard, continue with their trial and errors and then produce the product one day to the masses.

6231  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Monero Faces Extended Pullback on: August 16, 2019, 09:21:14 PM
This is a comment from the author of this article. Perhaps this is FUD that has made XMR plummeted in the past day.
"Cybersecurity firm Varonis has discovered a new encryption virus to exploit the Monero cryptocurrency (XMR), potentially avoiding detection.

Named "Norman", one of its key features is closing the cryptocurrency mining process in response to users opening Task Manager. "

Thats no FUD, that virus / malicious malware exists and is doing damage. But i doubt its the sole reason for the decline.

Link : https://www.coindesk.com/new-malware-miner-sneakily-hides-when-task-manager-is-open

But lets face it, a lot of altcoins are currently facing an extended pullback. I guess the bottom has just not been reached yet for most altcoins
or they are facing a re-testing of their bottom.

They could have been re-testing their bottom again, almost all altcoins are still way below of their previous all time high, I'm guessing around 70%-80%. As for Monero, let's face it, it is a privacy coin that individuals or bad actors can exploit to their advantage. And this is one downside of Monero, because we all know that governments are tightening on everything that is related to crypto. And this could be one reason why investors doesn't want to take risk and invest on any privacy coin, IMHO.
6232  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Bitcoin Bangladesh on: August 16, 2019, 08:52:20 PM
What's new? As you have said, they have been anti-bitcoin since 2014. So why would everyone be surprised by this news? They have a harsher penalty as well, jail time. So if you are from Bangladesh, you know that consequences of your action. And to give you a hint:

This is nothing new to me, However, in line with the world, why are banks in Bangladesh not supporting this? PayPal does not have Bangladesh , so there must be something.
The people we deal with online are somehow being interrupted and banks are not coming to us. We are selling money to each other but the banks not cooperating.
Many are talking about the dollar exchange from us but they are not returning it later, They are somehow hidden from us. There they are doing us great harm.
However, their views are different...
An official of BFIU said: “Banks and other financial organizations of the country have been ordered to maintain a strict vigil on cryptocurrency trading. A circular will soon be sent out detailing the matter.”
“There is no way to purchase these currencies legally through banking channels. Cybercrime investigators are working on the matter,” he continued.

We really can't answer that, it's your government hard stance, but we understand your frustrations, seriously, however, your hands are tied and you are at risk if you continue your crypto activity in your country. Only solution is to get out of your country and move to a more friendly nation around. You can't fight this battle alone and its very unlucky that your country doesn't give crypto a chance to flourish and at least see how it will contribute financially to people like you.
6233  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Lomachenko-Campbell Unification Fight on: August 16, 2019, 08:36:26 PM
Reading all his post here it looks like Lomachenko is a huge favorite, honestly, I don't know Campbell but I've checked both of their fights against a common boxer which is Jorge Linares, Linares beat Campbell even knocking him down by a split decision
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8ZPqjR8KzlI

And Linares against LOmachecnko, he was beaten so badly stopping him in the tenth round
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A2AHunLq9xQ

I believe Loma will beat Campbell by a knock out, although Campbell is also fast but not as fast as Loma.

The punch that Loma knocked Linares out with is a rarity in boxing. It's extremely rare to get a KO from a gut shot, especially in championship fights where the fighters have really trained their core.

It's because in boxing, the punch you don't see coming usually hurts, and that's what happened to Linares. He didn't see the punch coming and as much as you train your core, it wouldn't hold up because you are not prepared to take it.

You can't really expect Loma to land that kind of shot again, he doesn't really have brutal knockout power. He'll win, for sure. But predicting a KO is unlikely, it's literally more like Campbell will give up on his stool.

Lomachenko doesn't have a one knock out punch, he is more of a volume puncher, he will accumulate punches every round and t will frustrate you. And that will either make you quit on your stool and say "NoMaChenko" or you will be mentally broken that will result in KO/TKO.
6234  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: MarketCap is returning to $300+ Billion Territory Again Can it be Sustain? on: August 16, 2019, 08:21:57 PM
Cryptocurrency Market was surprise us again by the unprecedented rising of Bitcoin in the past few days. But I was confused with these Trend why the Altcoins are still in Red territory only few was gaining ground as of today. is these an organic growth or just a manipulation of the few?

Bitcoin is in the territory of having a good recovery for this year so I'm not surprised by the dominance it had as far as market capitalization. Altcoin is a different discussions though, it is still in crypto winter, maybe some investors are really questioning if altcoin is really a good investments and can deliver what they had promise, and so far I don't see any project past or present really doing that good, except for a few occasional pump and dump arrangements.
6235  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Do you fund ICOs ? on: August 16, 2019, 07:41:09 PM
Well, IEO's and STO's are more popular right now. The problem I have with most ICO's is that they don't actually need a token or a coin to work, exchanges, platforms, gambling websites, what's the point of coming up with a new coin when you can already use any of the hundreds of coins that already exist and literally work in the same way.

New business models has arrived, ICO are no longer the current trend that's why it is suffering and no longer being supported by a lot of investors around. IEO is the new thing, just look at how those projects quickly sold out in just a matter of seconds or minutes? To the OP, maybe investors are no longer interested to fund such project because of the simply reason that they don't see any potential profit with them. They would rather go to Bitcoin today or test their hands on the latest model that is IEO.
6236  Economy / Economics / Re: What is the best advice you ever heard in case of investments and all on: August 16, 2019, 07:32:33 PM
"Buy when there is blood on the street". Initially I didn't understand this, but later on specially when I started to invest in crypto, that I realized that this saying is somewhat very true in this market. So if the price drops, and I have extra funds to invest, I immediately jump on the chances and stash my Bitcoin wallet. This is a contrarian belief, if I'm not mistaken, but as per my experience, this is very effective strategy in Bitcoin market, IMHO.
6237  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bakkt Announces Sept. 23 Launch of Futures and Custody Platform in US on: August 16, 2019, 07:20:25 PM
It looks like it has a positive effect on the market price already, as the price seems to hover around $10,400-$10,500. I know that everyone in this community grew tired of waiting, but hey finally it's hear and I'm sure the hype will be back. So with this news + the high expectation on the scheduled bitcoin halvening next year, everyone is going to be excited and we will hear the word "moon" again. So $15,000 in September prior the the scheduled launch? And then sky is the limit again? What do you guys say?

6238  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis League All Thread on: August 16, 2019, 06:17:14 PM
There was an upset today as Roger Federer lost to Rublev 6-3, 6-4. He beat Stan Wawrinka rin the previous run, so it looks like we have a giant killer in this tournament. Although he was really doing good tennis in the last two years but a injury (lower back stress fracture) forced him to miss and sideline early 2019.

Medvedev won against Struff, Djokovic match in two hours against Pablo Carreño Busta.

Yeah this was a big upset with Federer losing in straight sets, Rublev did it with ease which was not expected playing one of the greatest players of all time.

Not taking anything from Rublev, but it looks like Federer has a bad game, but in his interview, he says that he is fine.

I'm watching the Djokovic match right now and he is getting pushed hard by Carreno Busta early in the match, I don't want to say that another upset is on the cards but Carreno Busta is playing some good tennis right now. Lets hope he can push Djokovic and we see a three set match.

Djokovic prevailed and is going on the next round, it was a bit scary though as I thought that there could be another upset. Pablo Carreño Busta is no push over though, he use to be in the top 10, but Djokovic proved how tough he is and fought the storm, he will be facing Poullie next, rematch of their Australian open semis.

Enough with the Kyrgios tantrums, he is really a disgrace to the sport and to the Australian tennis, should be given harsh punishments for that action.
6239  Economy / Speculation / Re: $3B Ponzi Scheme is Dumping BTC by the Hundreds on: August 15, 2019, 11:03:25 PM
The image in this article shows the movement of money from addresses which is pretty crazy. Movements of 50-100 BTC batches appear to move into exchanges.

is there any proof of this? i read the ciphertrace report and it says nothing about that. the only thing i see is this tweet storm, where the claims about 50-100 BTC batches seem to be unsourced. all the activity on those two large addresses she posted ended in may/july so we need a more comprehensive analysis to verify.

I agree, I saw some articles around and they used the word "allegedly". So again we really need to be careful, I'm not saying that DoveyWan is wrong, or it could be another FUD news coming from China since they have hinted that they are going to create their own native token? Good thing though, the price has bounce back today, and as others may contributed the flash crash of Bitcoin to this news, it has a short term effect. So let's see how this whole drama unfolds again, specially it involves Chinese government.
6240  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Lomachenko-Campbell Unification Fight on: August 15, 2019, 10:47:07 PM
I'm a big fan of Lomachenko and I would not bet here, obviously, Loma is a huge favorite and will come out the winner here. I don't know if anyone in his division that can stand his speed and punching power, for me he is one of the best boxers of this generation but he needs to test himself more by going up in a division where he can match with great fighters.

Yeah, that odds are too low here, we might as well take a risk on Campbell and see how it goes. Loma already conquer three divisions but he can still move up in weight. I remember that there was talks between him and Mikey Garcia fighting, but Mikey move up to challenge Spence at 147 so we don't know if he will go back down at this natural weight and wait for Loma to move up so that we can see them dancing together.
