Is there any way you could post pictures and/or a map location?

I does not matter to me. I normally send from my client without much thought about what shopping cart software is involved. I have been assuming that a service like bitpay caters more to the needs of the seller's business than the purchaser. A service that helps them use bitcoin without requiring a great understanding of the technology.
This could however be an issue for me if I had little trust in the seller. In that case I might prefer a gateway that offers some kind of escrow or process to minimize the risk of fraud.
Does that help?

I call BS on that first quote. Everyone thinks the "banksters" are out spending their money to crush bitcoin. That is not how you get rich. They are really out to profit from bitcoin.

I have not actually used them (BCT-E) myself. But if they offer the option to fund via a money order, that may be a good place to start. It is cheap and straight forward. That process takes me 3-5 business days on another exchange. If you are able to link your bank account then you can do basically instant transfers. It could take a while the first time you do it however. You must be verified beforehand. Getting verified is worth the hassle I think. Once it is set up you can get coins anytime with ease.

Damn! I fly through Ataturk when I go to my apartment in Istanbul. This is awesome, maybe now I can also get lira when I arrive!?

I think the prices at localbitcoins are high because the seller must drive to a meeting place and they are often stood-up by buyers. But I don't trade with loonies (CAD) so I'm not sure what exchange is best. BTC-E is the most popular I believe.

Terrorists do use bitcoins, but it's a secret! Hush! That was an interesting comment. Yes they do, but I'm not allowed to discuss it. Terrorists use USD too... And they use the Casio F91W They probably also eat M&M's

Consider that the price is totally irrelevant. Concern yourself with percentages instead. If you believe that bitcoin will grow in the future, then you can buy whatever amount at whatever price. People have been saying that they came here too late since the price hit $1. If I were you I would think about Las Vegas. In Vegas you might drop $100 to play games knowing that the odds are you will lose. With bitcoin the odds are much greater that you will see gains. Even if bitcoin drops you are very very unlikely to see it drop to zero. As long as two people are using bitcoin, then there will be a bitcoin and it will have some value.

[guessing] Perhaps you need to be in China to open an account there? In That case few people will be in a position to do arbitrage between the Yuan and Dollar. [/guessing]
oh, but if you check https://bitcoinaverage.com/#USDtheres a lot of price diff even in us exchanges even if you leave out gox I do take advantage of that. But I can't do Yuan, I have only USD and EUR.

its my first time encounter this problem almost 1 day im waiting for confirmation, yes i did also send btc with free tx fee and i just wait couple hours and its confirmed, i just wondering why i should wait this long when the estimate confirmation time keeps saying 10 mins, now i have no idea when this transaction will be confirm.
On average every 10mins. a new block is discovered. With a fee your transaction will be in that block. I think it is a safe bet that it was the fee. Without including a fee, or if including a low fee, miners have no incentive to include your transaction in the block. Typically they eventually will, but it could take some time.

I love crashes! I used to be a bull, but now I always buy into a bear market.

A guy in Africa with access to a smart-phone and a mailbox can transact with almost anyone on the planet. No currency has ever been able to hand power to the poor like bitcoin.

A money geek for sure. Anyone here in NYC and goto the Satoshi Square meetups?
I was there a few weeks ago, but there were no bitcoiners there at the time. Sounds like fun though.

Hello fellow bitcoin peer! I see you are a money geek, you are going to fit in well here. hehe

i look at where the money goes. Anyone can say anything, but putting up money is a real expression of belief. I'll buy alt-coins when I see this trend happening.

I think you guys are forgetting what it is the FBI does. Among the things they do not do is interfere with markets.

China? China wants to see a move away from the dollar. Bitcoin's success is in their interest. A crash may hurt Chinese bitcoin peers more than anyone else. They paid the most for their coins and they are the biggest consumers of BTC.
We're talking about the Chinese govt, not the people. Not sure why everyone thinks China would support BTC. They manipulate everything in their economy and you think they'd like having some sovereign/autonomous currency that their citizens can opt to use over their national currency? And China has a huge position in USD, they do not want to see it go down. I think the Chinese government does want to see a transition to a new world currency. They even stated that a few weeks ago. http://abcnews.go.com/Business/story?id=7168919Although China is opaque, and so its hard to know for sure, the buys there seem to be made by middle class citizens and not the government. These people (40% women) are reportedly saving them for a "long" investment. I'm no China expert, but it sure looks like bitcoin would be good for their economy.
