6241  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Airdrops & Forks - how to take advantage? on: January 10, 2018, 10:23:40 PM
Here click "watch" and "notify" in this thread https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1438371.0 this thread generaly give you all airdrop in ann section into one thread. Actually not all of them but its good enough to know news without need to browse entire subforum.

Yes even more fine tuned, exactly what I was looking for, thank you!

How often do these various forks happen between bitcoin and alt coins?
Was supposed to give the same link too which I do really followed up this thread when it comes to airdrops which is constantly updated and as an airdrop hunter this thread would really suits you in. By the way,let me ask you this, Do you know on what is fork? If it does then its not really happening anytime since there would really be schedules on when those fork happens and talking about on how to claim them then there would really be lots of tutorial online.
6242  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Xapo closes debit card service! on: January 10, 2018, 09:27:23 PM
Well, I didn't receive any previous notice except this today. Otherwise I would be prepared and take some actions.
For now it seems that only debit cards related to Master Card are woking, every other related to Visa, no matter the service, is out of use. Not just Xapo cards.
I wonder how long will take until they find a new provider.

As you said it is nothing to do with XAPO because they also might have got this information all of sudden from VISA. I think many crypto debit cards got affected by this VISA policy change. I'm from Asia and my card was stopped working from last OCT itself but they gave us more than month time before closing the service. Until now can't find any other service provider in Asian countries. It was very convenient to withdraw cash even though we pay some fee for the service.

Exactly, using Bitcoin debit card was very convenient for me, not just for cash withdrawal which I didn't use so often but for paying in stores and for other services just like with any other card. So didn't have any need to sell Bitcoin for fiat looking for trusted sellers or services.
The best was that with Xapo I didn't have to move my coins anywhere or top up the card but when I had coins in wallet they were directly available at the card also.
It's really pitty, hope they will offer new cards very soon.
It does really give convenience because you wont really need have to convert just like other similar services been given. I'm also a user of this thing but on Asian part just like the dude above. It is really sad that they do stop completely and actually they did really inform about this matter on all of their clients which supposed to be VISA's decision and XAPO has nothing to do with it since the provider did already make such decision and its correct that they are not the only ones being affected on this such changes.
6243  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: Air Drops? on: January 10, 2018, 08:58:41 PM

Upcoming Dragon coin/ICO say they're doing air drops into a random account every month. Is it worth (do people do this?) just buying a little and holding as an ongoing lottery ticket or is this something lots of people already do?

Also, do coins that do this do the choosing publicly (like the reddit millionairemaker) or do they just announce they've randomly deposited into an account? If not public, surely they can just deposit into one of their own accounts?
Airdrops is one of the methods on where a new coins being distributed freely without the need of investing or the need of buying that token. Its not bad to join up such things and yes it is somehow be treated as a lottery but on fair chances since there were only two things do commonly happen with these coins which they do failed up or being successful which means if those coins accumulated by you on airdrops suddenly spiked up then it would be an easy profits for you but if not then its still fine since you didn't invest on.
6244  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Double your BTC in 6 hours - Most Trusted bitcoin doubler - BTC2Double.com on: January 09, 2018, 11:41:23 PM
Again? I thought this suspicious bitcoin doubling services have gone forever.
I don't know how after so much time and variety of scam scheems somebody can really beleive he could double bitcoins by doing nothing at all and why would somebody paying for this. Don't even try to advertise something so obvious to be scam, you will only make damage to yourself.

I am also thinking about this like you, I am agree with you 100%.
With just common sense you would able to identify already which is already a scam. Nothing on this world would give you out free money with just doing nothing. Come to think of that. If you are sensible enough then you would really be wondering and would be hesitant to invest but if you are a greedy man then you wont really think off these possibilities of scam. Only greedy people are the only ones who do fall out on these kind of investments.Too good to be true offers are scam and theres no doubt on that and that red paint of OP does really deserve him right.
6245  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Bitcoin Trading! on: January 09, 2018, 10:41:15 PM
hi im a newbie too, as i know if you want to getting success in bitcoin you need to learn about bitcoin and knowing what is bitcoin and how it works, and i know that if you want to get big income i think experience is more important the skill, because in experience you can get the big skill too. so if you have a skill  you need an expereinces too to get the great value of income
I think the question is a little bit confusing. One thing you should know is that someone can’t have skills on something without having the experience. Experience is what teaches you, and you develop your skills through the experience you might have gotten. So I don’t really see how you can have the skills to do something, when you haven’t done it before.
Skills wont really be there if you don't have experience since we don't have knowledge on anything that we haven't done before same as you said which is actually right. Skills can be molded up along the way if we do engage on a particular thing. Trading isn't simple and should really be need to know on the fundamentals or things about it. Trying out and making mistakes is normal but you should not be discouraged but rather learn up from those mistakes and you would really able to enhance your skills with that.
6246  Economy / Economics / Re: Imagine Bitcoin recognized around the world. on: January 09, 2018, 09:57:19 PM
Many have claimed bitcoin's adoption is fueled by the public losing faith in economists, experts, governments and corporations. As institutions people rely upon fail, they may increasingly resort to extremism and other alternatives. This could explain a rise of extremist groups and alternate lifestyles prevalent in this era.

What some deem human culture may simply reflect necessity and need. Bitcoin may not adapt nor change human culture. It could emerge as a preferred option if it solves problems relating to currency transaction, store of value and limited supply better than its competition. In that crypto's success in the world could be one of "survival of the fittest". Bitcoin survives and perhaps succeeds as it is the best suited to do so in a world where those living in poverty often have few or no options.

Bitcoin may not be perfect, but its transfer fees and taxes are still far lower than its competition. That could be a primary reason for its success and why it may be someday recognized around the world?
Its wide acceptance still sounds much like a joke. Peopl who are into it are fed up of its scaling issues already
I did really laugh on the thing you said on here which is actually true. Thinking of regarding on this matter on which bitcoin being recognized globally would only be possible on our dreams. We are already seeing on how do government do treat up bitcoin, some of them did tend to adopt but most are already making such blockage or banning due to its potential threat to their vicinity this is why I do already lose hope for that global recognition  of bitcoin.
6247  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [ICO] [IPL] InsurePal | Distributed social proof insurance on: January 09, 2018, 08:45:23 PM
if eth price rises, is there a chance crowdsale is already over?

I don't think so. Every project aims to sell his tokens offered for sale irrespective of the price. So even if eth prices go up or go down crowdsale token share(% of token supply offered to crowd) would be the same.
Most project I did encounter doesn't really rely on ETH price on reaching out their cap. As avirunes said they do aim for the tokens sold even the price of ETH surges up and hit up the cap most likely they wont really stop as long the coins not being sold completely as just being stated on their crowdsale.
6248  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: ETH goes from 11 $ to almost 1000 $. What about Waves? on: January 09, 2018, 07:51:56 PM
I really don't understand why have Waves so low price. Last year ETH went from 11 to almost 1000.

Do you think is this possible to Waves?  Wink
Waves isn't bad at all and I admit I do hold off this coin until these days and I do have high hopes for this coin too.It might not able to go equal with ETH but do still have the chance to progress but the question is no one knows on when but if we do tried to look up on their long term plans then we can assume that this thing will really increase its price too.
6249  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Will You Still Get Into Bitcoin Even if the Gov't Declared it Illegal? on: January 09, 2018, 07:23:33 PM
The ban of bitcoin in one or several countries will not have consequences. To earn bitcoin on the Internet outside the jurisdiction of these countries. You can always go to another country to cash out bitcoins and to return to the country with Fiat. This creates additional inconvenience but does not stop the use of cryptocurrencies.

Government should support this great technology or they are just being scared because its Decentralized. I will keep on holding my bitcoin because I know time will come that more people will accept bitcoin and it includes every government. Cryptocurrency is a digital currency thay will makes us more better.
Regarding or concerning indirect cashing out then it wont really be a problem since we can really make hidden transactions if we do want to.Knowing that bitcoin does really have this capability and one of the reasons why government doesn't easily convinced or considered bitcoin to be adopted. We do have high hopes for them to accept it but I would say that no matter what we do hope if government would decide or give jurisdiction about on a certain thing then it cant really be easily removed.
6250  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading or not? on: January 08, 2018, 10:30:47 PM
If I lost most of my capital in one coin, I will hold the first to coin it up again, whether it can be called trading or not?
Give your opinion Smiley
It is indeed trading since you did bought a certain coin and sell out but the situation here seem you sold out on loss since you do mention you lost most of your capital. I'm sure you did panic sell when you do saw the price is falling,Am i right? When you are just seeking out on what is trading then you can able to answer it already basing on the actions you have made. IF it does involve buying and selling on any coins or something then it is trading.
6251  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Which online wallet for bitcoin is safer? on: January 08, 2018, 10:02:24 PM
Any web wallet is good as long as you can benefit from it and a good wallet is that has an exchanges in it. It is convenient to use specially if this exchanges wallet is available to your place for any withdrawal of your funds. Yet you can try any wallet you like as a beginners wallet e.g. blockchain, when i am a newbie before i've used blockchain as a starter.
You are just pertaining on exchange wallet to be used as your main online wallet isn't really advisable specially you are storing it up lots of coins with big value. Its always been suggested to store it up on those wallet where you do own your private keys. The thing that gives you convenience when you store up bitcoins on exchanges is that can easily buy directly altcoins without any problems or an instant since you do have a fund already store on your wallet but for long term or keeping purposes then better to choose up much better wallets like hardware or desktop.
6252  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: hoqu.io ICO is a totally Scam and fake. on: January 08, 2018, 09:07:47 PM
Just saw this Twitter statement:

HOQU
@HOQU_IO
Current state is that some TXs might not show up in the HOQU back office after investing ETH/BTC/LTC due to clogging in ETH network
If you had everything processed but the info doesn't show up - do not worry, we have all the info and TXs are to be shown on 11 of Jan, not sooner.

Jan 6, 2018

So it seems there is some hope  Smiley

For those guys above. You do easily panic  Grin . which its is normal though since we are talking money on here and would really be alarmed if we do see our funds is already confirmed but not being credited on the account. HOQU had made already give some words and this should really wipe out those doubts. It is actually true that ETH network is really clogging that's why some services or even crowdfundings as of now is being affected.
6253  Economy / Marketplace / Re: I Earned 0.5 In 2 days. See How To Do It Here on: January 08, 2018, 08:21:14 PM
The OP is just trying to sell a signal service thinking that gullible members will fall to his pranks, this is 2018 how you earned 0.5 btc in 2 days is very questionable and unbelievable without any proof to show for it, if it is real then it means you are using huge amount of btc for trading then tell your motive for advertising this to us.
Same perceptions which I do believe that sooner he would really ask for some fees regarding on the signals that he would provide which he do claim that he can able to make huge money on a short span of time. Actually this thing is achievable on 2 days time but you would really need up to have XX amount of bitcoin which can potentially earn 0.5 on 2 days but talking on smaller amounts then its an impossible thing no matter how good you are.
6254  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: [NEED] legit cloud minning site on: January 08, 2018, 07:31:30 PM
thanks all for wonderful reply and suggestion as now me decided not to go for cloud mining that means trading is the only way to make some $
Good thing that you did ask first here on this forum before on making such decisions. Most people saying here is really true which it is common that these cloud mining sites are indeed scam.If theres one operating then it would turn out not to be profitable for longer terms. Seems like you did able to get and been satisfy on what most people suggesting on here and made such decision on not to invest on these things then that's a good choice better to seek out for another thing than involving yourself into these scams.
6255  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: 2,4 million in 30 days ? on: January 07, 2018, 09:24:57 PM
Theoretically you can make 2.4 millions with just 100$ in 30 days, but in reality you need to have 30 days winning streak and that is impossible. To make each day 40% of your amount it would be like this:
1 day 100$+40%profit= 140$
2 day 140$+40%profit= 206$
But you can't make each day 40% profit, some days are bad for crypto trading everything is red and prices are going down. To add one more thing you wish to make 40% but that means you risk all your money everyday and to much risking is not good for business.
Calculation were right which this kind of target is really achievable by means of compounding profits straight for 30 days maintaining 40% profits on daily basis which we do all know this is already a dream. No trader can assure on how much profits or even lose up on a single day on doing trading knowing that market is really very unpredictable. You cant assure yourself that in the end of the day you are ending up on profits. % isn't assured sometimes volatility is lesser on some days.If you cant able to rise with the waves then expect less profits for sure and come to think off losing money is always there too.
6256  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Do you watch the price of your altcoin everyday? on: January 07, 2018, 08:42:23 PM
Everyday, I watch the price of the coin that I have bought. But sometimes this could cause FUD or FOMO if the coin pump or dump tremendously. I sold my coins when I saw the price go up, but missed out the huger profit.
I think if you watch the price of your coin everyday, it will put pressure on your emotion.
Some people just buy it and don't think about it, which could be good or bad.
What do you think? Do you watch the price everyday? If not, how often do you watch it?
How do you feel before you watch it?
Its not bad since we can able to track out on the situation on our coin holdings but the fact that you are easily affected on such movements either pump or dump and making such rush decisions then this thing is entirely matter on your self control and discipline. If you do have a hard time on controlling your self then better not to check out always your coins price on daily basis. Better to delete those apps and forget those holdings if you do plan for long term hold because if you do always check it then you might end up on making early decisions. If you do plan long term then you should hold off no matter what happen.
6257  Economy / Economics / Re: BitTorrent creator announces Chia network on: January 07, 2018, 07:42:59 PM
Well, it looks like we have another new player. I don't know how this would end but the project sounds interesting. It sort of reminded me of what Piratebay did.

https://cointelegraph.com/news/bittorrent-creators-chia-could-fix-bitcoin-with-own-altcoin-by-late-2018

Quote
BitTorrent creator Bram Cohen has debuted his “solution” to Bitcoin which he says resolves “centralization problems” with the virtual currency.

Speaking to TechCrunch Wednesday, Cohen explained his Chia Network would offer more reliable, eco-friendly mining and security measures.

The developer has been famously critical of Bitcoin this year as the network suffers slow and expensive transaction processing.

“The idea is to make a better Bitcoin, to fix the centralization problems,” Cohen told the publication.

Employing a concept called proof-of-time, as opposed to proof-of-work, Chia relies on a two-step block authentication method.

The three “weightiest histories” found by full nodes are relayed to “farmers,” not miners. These find “the best proof of space they have,” after which proof-of-time servers begin validation and publish a verified block to the network.

This procedure should take away mining power from a select few miners, as occurs with Bitcoin, Cohen says.

“It’s technically ambitious and there’s a big meaty chunk of work to do. I’ve done enough raising money and recruiting. Now for the real work,” he added.

While Bitcoin continues to find stability after its latest hard fork was canceled by developers this week, Cohen maintains a late-2018 or later release for his altcoin will still be timely.

He is not alone in his plans, with MegaUpload creator Kim Dotcom likely to beat him to issuing a cryptocurrency, this time for his own decentralized file sharing network. Dotcom’s Bitcache will be 100 percent Bitcoin-supportive, however, having an integrated wallet for users.

"“The idea is to make a better Bitcoin, to fix the centralization problems,”"

Oh here we go, another illuminated saint that will bring us a better bitcoin. I thought that he would come up with a way to improve bitcoin, but he wants to sell us his own cryptocurrency (another one).

I thought Bram Cohen wasn't a shitcoin scammer. I guess it will be another ICO?... let's wait and see what he has to offer, but everyone that claims to have a solution for bitcoin's problems has not delivered yet.
Theres nothing new on here actually which they would really make an another ICO for sure self proclaiming that they do have the solutions on what do have problems on bitcoin nowadays. This is not new already and there are already lots of attempts and propagandas which we have seen in the past trying out to convince or saying that they do have the solution but unluckily we are still experiencing the same problem as of now.
6258  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What are your Red Flags? on: January 07, 2018, 06:05:02 PM
There are many threads that ask for advice to select good ICOs, but it is as important to discard the bad ones. For me the "red flags" that lead me to run away are teams that are not experienced, rates that are not adjusted to the price of ETH or BTC and undisclosed term for private sales.

What makes you red flag a project?
Same as yours, red flag for me is on when I do see the team isn't experienced enough or just starting up on handling crypto projects but doesn't mean I wont really give some consideration this is sometimes intuition would set-in and when I got convinced when I do read up their WP. If do find out that it is just an ordinary or common WP which most projects do have.I do easily skip and find another one. I wont really risk my money if I do find out if a certain project isn't really worth at all.
6259  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you think Bitcoin can ruin a Country? on: January 07, 2018, 05:18:48 PM
compare btc daily volume on ~200 million vs forex 5 Trillion

BTC doesn't even move the needle I would say NO

Volume is not the main thing to be considered here. If this is gonna be the future(which I wish) there must be legal regulations. If some people are gonna use it for money laundering or smuggle the dirty money, thisis gonna be a huge problem even for 200 billions. Forex is totally legal so if it is 97459743 trillion, there is no problem. People are gonna accept this blockchain system but it is gonna take time and after legalisation in the most of the world, it is gonna blow like the banks. Even faster cuz there is no need for a building everywhere.
But come to think off that the main feature on most crypto currencies is decentralized which means it cant really be controlled this is why it wont really be an easy thing for it to be legalized or even regulated because they cant do such thing. I don't know why its being compared to Forex considering that the volume gap would really be huge knowing that Forex is been here for how many centuries for sure because it do involves on trading up local centralized currencies.
6260  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: I would like to buy bitcoin ATM software on: January 05, 2018, 04:33:56 PM
Where can I buy it and ask questions about it?

Please tell me where to buy it with its reputation.

Can I use the software without actual bitcoin ATM hardware?

I just need to buy bitcoin online, I can used tradingplatform, but I would rather buy it thruough ATM software

Please tell me

bitcoin is shitty expenisive to use, why buying it at all?
He would later on realize on the thing hes saying on here. Knowing that bitcoin atms do have much more fees compared into those usual online exchanges. Going back into op queries you can search up on the given link above where to find some bitcoin atm near you but not all the times its accurate because there are some instances where there is already an atm but still been not registered or known yet to be listed or updated
