6281  Economy / Speculation / Re: What will be the consequences of increasing demand to bitcoin? on: January 03, 2018, 03:48:48 PM
I don't know if there is a negative effects for the public but i believe only banks and financial institution are affected with rising popularity of bitcoin that is why many bankers are releasing negative statements against bitcoin.
There are two variations or areas which bitcoin would give affect which it would give affect to banking system and affect into itself. Going first on banking system it will surely affect it specially if cryptocurrencies would took up the lead when it comes on making transactions and other innovations that it would give but this thing isn't really possible because if banking system would adopt blockchain they would rather create on their own. When it comes on affecting itself then bitcoin increases its demand then we would able to see slow confirmation and high fees.
6282  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will Litecoin die? on: January 02, 2018, 10:50:35 PM
According to the internet ( http://mashable.com/2017/12/20/litecoin-charlie-lee-cryptocurrency/#4wvTq4wUvqqw ) the Litecoin creator sold all his assets of his own currency.

I think this might be a bad sign for the long term price development, what do you think?

false!
look at the value of litecoin as i type this on bittrex it is around $250
it has not suffered from that charlie lee news
actually its old news now.
This is not actually old as we have seen the tweet is on Dec. 20,2017 which is a few weeks old which means we don't even know if he mean that tweet on selling out his LTC or just making some bluffs or what but regarding on its recent or current price as of writing I don't see any major movements signifies on the possible actions that he would made of. I don't think that Litecoin will die if we do try to track after all these years. Even how many coins does Charlie lee have.
6283  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Has anyone sold BTC won here in sig campaigns? how does tax work? on: January 02, 2018, 10:08:39 PM
I can't imagine tax authorities asking you for your Bitcointalk login or private keys. They certainly shouldn't, and technically that wouldn't prove ownership of the funds at the time they were paid. I'd archive the sig campaign threads in case the site gets nuked, but that's more about proving where funds are derived from and less about taxes.

I think the IRS really just cares that people are making a good faith effort to pay their taxes. It seems like signature campaigns would fall under regular "wages/salaries/tips" or "other income" and taxed at the standard tax rate for the cost basis, and capital gains for any gains from holding.

They won't really care. None of them care. You just tell them you have a screenshots and few bits and bobs that'll let them offload the problem on someone else if it ever arises, and it won't. They  won't even ask to see them.

This also even a risk to some 3rd world countries. Unlike those countries where bitcoin can be freely used. I guess this is the downside of taxless transactions. Some government banned bitcoin they though it will just bring their country into a bad demise. Also government cant really profit if that is the case. Some may say that bitcoin is some kind of tax evation but i think the only problem is dictating where you get your profit.
Mostly ive seen 3rd world countries isn't too strict with the compliance when it comes to bitcoin or on any taxation matters since they do only focused into legalized things and consider than bitcoin isn't still been legalized or adopted on most cases which means they aren't too strict or they cant really do nothing if a certain citizen would decide up to evade tax with bitcoin which is really possible indeed.
6284  Economy / Economics / Re: 2018 will be “The Year of the Cryptocurrency Craze”!!!! on: January 02, 2018, 09:08:44 PM
One certain thing is that 2018 will be the year of blockchain. The implications of blockchain technology are far beyond what it's still elusive creator Satoshi Nakamoto thought would be. Blockchain can be used in banking industry (it has started, but still nascent), in electoral procedures, maintaining public records etc. The only real hindrances being the fear of loss of human resource as it is automation heavy. And other being institutional resistance, which reflects the fear of records being maintained in a decentralized manner.
Blockchain technology would really give a big impact when it comes on losing up specially on banking work which would mostly be affected if they would decide to adopt it but I would say it takes time and lots of debate on a certain country if they would decide to implement it or not because lots of people will be affected which as being said automation would really be heavy.
6285  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: why not new signature campaign ?? on: January 02, 2018, 08:22:24 PM
Nowdays why any of signature campaigns not come on the forum?
For Bitcoin based signature campaigns then they are really not into this season to launch their campaigns since btc price is soaring up high the same time with the fee which it would really add up on the expense on marketing budget if they do launch now because fees isn't really that small to be neglected. Imagine on having 100 participants on a certain campaign for sure fees will really put a hole in your pocket but yet you can still join some bounty campaigns which I do saw not being affected on this scenario.

Bitcoin price doesn't play a role here. A campaign just can set lower payments in BTC. I remember the time when a weekly payment was around 0,05 BTC and now it is huge money and a lot of campaigns just made payments lower; the last one I took a part was paying 0,001 BTC weekly. But I also noticed this tend that there are no new signature campaign, all of them replaced bitcoin transaction accelerators on the Service board. This forum is full of participants and I noticed that if a new campaign appears it takes few participants only, but the demand is huge and if you wish to roll in you must to check the board like every hour. Tough times are come in this sense, I hope it is just such period and soon everything will come back.
How much more if they would adjust to lower payments. It wont really be worth of to make such transfers we do know micro transactions can really fucked you up which has being said by zadicar fees will hit you up and no company will sustain to pay up on constant basis this is why there were no signature campaigns as of these days because of bitcoins situation as of now.
6286  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Etherdelta sucks on: January 02, 2018, 07:55:34 PM
I am always annoyed by etherdelta's user interface. It is hard to use usually in mobile device and hard to scroll down especially when buying or selling. Unlike other trading sites have good UI. I can't stop using etherdelta because most of my tokens are only tradable in their slow site.
I agree on this one no matter how good your smartphone is but their interface would really pissed you down when you do tried out to use the site. Loading times is horrible. Even on PC browser it loads very slow how much more on using a mobile phone this is why I don't use up my phone when selling out my erc20 tokens. I do agree that most coins we do see now specially erc20 are firstly being listed on ED this is why I don't have any choice but to use up their site.

I have tried to use ED with my mobile and it is not possible LOL, is just like trying to catch a fish with only one finger. And well, obviously just don´t even think of trying to trade when transaction fees soar.
Even you do try to access the site on a 6-inch phone you would really still have problems and make tradings or orders is really pain in the ass this is why I don't really bother at all on accessing site if I'm on mobile mode. Tx fees on eth isn't that too big but on those times where eth network is clogged up we do see tx price bump but not totally a big deal specially if you do make big and profitable trades unlike on bitcoin which fees can really bother you down.
6287  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Watch out for the scams out there on: January 01, 2018, 05:44:12 PM
To avoid scam i always create new account and i don't do investing if the mining or bounties need to invest because there's a lot of way here to earn even without investing like in faucets and campaign, you can also trust many exchanger here to earn with investing in many coins not like other that need to register first to earn in there site like airdrops or mining.
Correct avoid investing in hype and other cloud mining is one of the best way to avoid scammer because that is the in demand way of scamming yhose investors and their target is newbie and greedy people who want to earn quick income.
Correct also that many free method that we can earn good amount of income which we do not need to pull out our money in our pocket to earn just put an effort and time then money will comes to you.
When we are really serious on finding on earning money without the need of initial investment then there are still somethings but it would really takes time for you to make money but somehow much better compared on investing into something which we didn't even know on what it is because it would just turn out that we are just doing purely gambling. Scams are everywhere and if you are a greedy person then high chances for you to be scammed is high too.
6288  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Taxes: Altcoin airdrops (not fork coins) on: January 01, 2018, 05:12:55 PM
There was a recent thread with a lot of good information about US taxes as they relate to fork coins (like Bitcoin Cash).

For tax purposes, is there any difference between the Bitcoin Cash "airdrop" and an airdrop of native coins? For example, BitSend has a weekly airdrop to forum posters of 10 BSD. Are we supposed to use the USD cost basis of that 10 BSD each week (last week = $13.50) and call it "other income" on our tax return? That means that even if we opt to hodl the coins long term, we have to pay taxes on receipt, right?

The forks feel more like "stock splits." This feels more like a giveaway or something. Is there any way that these could be deemed "gifts" under the tax code?
BCH isn't really considered to be in the area or considered be part of Airdrops since that coin is forked one. Unlike on usual airdrops which can really be claimed freely without any need for you to have not like on BCH that you would able to obtain such coin if you do have BTC itself. Regarding on tax matters I do believe that those airdrop thingy wont really be considered to be taxed since they are just free things not totally be part of your income.

6290  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Best Exchange For New Traders on: January 01, 2018, 04:08:53 PM
I personally chose Bittrex and Binance as my two first options. Pretty straight to the point and quite noob-friendly if you ask me, as I've used both since the start of my crypto journey, and never had a problem with both(besides withdrawal fees are quite high depending on which coins). Though you cant trade fiat with both exchanges, only through USDT(tethers).

My 3rd option would be Bitfinex. Why? Because it's pretty much only one of the few exchanges that accepts IOTA.

EDIT: Just found out right now. Didn't know binance already accepted iota. whoops.

I have same reasons with him, have used Bittrex for my first time got into trading, and lately, since bittrex get so many problems, just use binance and it works so well.
But mostly, I use local exchange in my country to trade bitcoin and altcoins, ripple gets so many attentions obviously.
Local exchange in my country is a better exchange compare to most global exchange as it provides a way to deposit and withdraw fiat currency through banks transfer, so easy to do that. Well, people in another country may have same reason with me, such as people in South Korea use BitHumb or people in Japan use bitFlyer.
That's why we should seek first for local exchanges in our country because it would really be a convenient thing to buy bitcoin or any other alts which we wont able to experience compared on some global exchanges.
Binance would really be a good choice as of now because I wont suggest those traditional and reputable exchange because for now they are experiencing some problems which would really cause some hassle.
6291  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Bitgrail 24h~ delay on ETH withdrawal on: January 01, 2018, 03:38:29 PM
https://ibb.co/ig5ZRb

Hello everyone. Apparently there has been an exchange issue on a withdrawal I performed. I have seen no exact similar situations so far.
See the above picture to see what I am seeing for the last 24 hours. I wonder if this issue is known by the administrators or if others share the same issue.
I withdrew to buy in on a dip, but now the price on both RXB and the other currency have both risen... This is really saddening.
I hope to hear more soon on this.
I didn't experienced any delays on using Bitgrail because if they would delay regarding withdrawals it would be only just 2 hours max. Have you already contacted or email their support? 24 hours waiting isn't just too long to wait but when in times on buying on some situations it do really sucks because you would really got behind on setting out your positions. For now better to contact them.
6292  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [ICO] [IPL] InsurePal | Distributed social proof insurance on: January 01, 2018, 01:59:01 PM

Who are early investors in Pre token? is that Whitelist?

Ask that on telegram

there is 5200 people   and support is really nice - i got all answers

InsurePal already reached 5MIL in presale that is huge. So how many IPL tokens are "reserved" (if you count in the 10% bonus) already ?
Since insurepal reach the target amount let's wait the news regarding 10% bonus.
But I guess may it happen after launching of ICOs.

Wouw this is the first time I heard that the softcap reached the target before the big sale, but I have hard time to follow the progress on the telegram, maybe it's a good idea to put it in the website about the fund and how much the  team have raised, but congratulations to IPL for reaching the the softcap
I didn't expect that they did able to reach up their softcap and just being said they should really put some stats or counter on the website itself so that we would really able to track out the progress of such fund raising and it did really make some good progress since the sale isn't still started but they did able to reach up the soft cap.
6293  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: How do you cash out... on: December 31, 2017, 03:10:46 PM
In my country which is the philippines I have a btc wallet called coins.ph and i this wallet I can be able to cashout my btc into cash an witdraw it through atm machine and this is only atm machine that allows to cashout and that atm machine is from Security Bank.

im also from the ph and i also use coins.ph as my primary wallet to cashout or exchange my bitcoins to local fiat and then withdraw it via a remittance center. i dont use atm bank as withdrawal option because mainy coins.ph user said that atm withdraw is verry risky and most of the times they lost their money after they request a withdrawal in an atm bank which is security bank specifically. they also contact the support of coins.ph but they dont get any direct reply form their team.
Back in the past on where their egive cashout is the most convenient way on cashing out your fiat that came from converted bitcoin that you do made which errors are just on rare cases but now everynow and then they did really experience errors on those kind of cashout. This is why I do stick on transferring on bank accounts directly.

Back to topic cashing out your coins would vary on which country you do live on and find the suites  your taste and speaking on fees I don't even know since they do really have different fees on each one of them.
6294  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Paypal VS Bitcoin on: December 31, 2017, 02:38:19 PM
if you have 5,000 gifts  and Asked to get it with

1) Paypal: Buy/Sell everything all over the world.

2) Bitcoin: your money will increase/ decrease in future.

which one will choose?
I heard that paypal are wanting to adopt digital currency because of the good outcome of bitcoin specifically,
For me i choose bitcoin for everything, transaction, as investment and it has great services aslo we can make some method to earn bitcoin much easy task to earn money. Yes paypal is good when bitcoin are not yet exist many people using paypal to transact online but now little by little many people transfering to used bitcoin than paypal.
Where did you get such information? I didnt even hear a glimpse of those informations regarding paypal do accept cryptocurrencies specially bitcoin. Knowing that i do see them as a rival when it comes to money transfer but if we do see on the current situation of fees of bitcoin i can say paypal would really be much better and you know what i mean when it comes to difference on the amounts of fees as of today.
Same question because they wont really accept bitcoin infact they are really competitors and paypal do knows about that thing and have you heard some news regarding on account have been blocked because paypal been used to buy bitcoins? If not then better to search it off because these situation are indeed true. They are really truly different from each other now on how they work and how people do make use of it. I do find bitcoin is much better than paypal on any way.
6295  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: why not new signature campaign ?? on: December 31, 2017, 01:41:46 PM
Bitcoin price is currently high and increasing more, even small bitcoin transactions are costing a lot of network fee. However, there are several active signature campaigns paying in bitcoin which were started earlier 1 or 2 months before and are mostly full with  members. Amid such times, you can head over altcoin bounties section and find a better one for your rank
For now this is the most recommended option for his rank because there are lots of bounty campaigns as of now which don't really have limit when it comes to participants which I mostly see on those campaigns and just like been said above that it is not affected on high bitcoin fees since they are mostly transacting on erc20 token based which is on eth which we know do only cost small amounts when transferring tokens. Its still worth of to join but be keen on selecting which you saw does have potential.
6296  Economy / Economics / Re: Do you think the Xmas and Holiday season, caused the drop in the price? on: December 31, 2017, 10:54:18 AM
Yes, during the holiday season bitcoin's value have decreased and it's maybe because of bitcoin holders who withdraw some of their btc to use for Christmas. Now bitcoin is starting to hit peaks again from the dip that happened.
Yes, don't even bother with FUDs out there. It's only natural behavior of Bitcoin when holiday is coming, the price will be decreasing and going up after that holiday. No need to panic and stay read the latest news from "legit" site to avoid those FUDs.
This is actually right its not really surprising for bitcoins price to dip on these holiday season even not on holidays price still moves on that matter and you are actually right no matter how low it would dip the important thing is that we should really not panic sell on our bitcoin holdings and instead of panicking better to buy even more cheaper coins because sooner or later it would really recover its price and would reach up new heights.
No matter what would be the reason but I'm sure its just related on supply and demand.
6297  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [ICO] [IPL] InsurePal | Distributed social proof insurance on: December 29, 2017, 09:51:45 PM
Why should invest in InsurePal?

No one can guarantee that new ICO able success or profit but I read that The founders are in insurance business with proven track record for over 15 years
It's your choice to invest or not but the project looks good and steady.
That's already a good indication or strong foundation on which investors can really see regarding on this project. They do have the experience and imagine 15 years isn't really joke record which can somehow assure ourselves that team behind have really knowledge on this field and that's a good sign.
6298  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Quantum Computer vs Bitcoin on: December 29, 2017, 08:49:43 PM
I heard that Quantum Computer can destroy bitcoin.
Is it possible?
Nope, Quantum Computer cant really easily decrypt cryptocurrencies and as being said its much harder to solve out 2x than on x2 which have been mentioned on previous pages of this thread which I do completely agree. This is why I don't really see that these computers would really be a big threat. If it can affect then it would not be on major thing for sure and besides this apparatus is costly.
6299  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Can I Trust Hashflare.io ? on: December 29, 2017, 05:22:02 PM
i did not try this hashflare site before but i have many experience to cloud mining. I have read about the hashflare site so far  it is many positive feed back but there is a lot of negative feed back also, I think this is a site will not last long and will also be a scam site.
All these cloudmining sites do really have the risk on becoming a scam later on specially if they cant able to sustain the payouts or returns been given to its investors but for now we cant say this site is scam since its still paying up but as a wise investor we should really not include this cloud mining sites to our choice list or on investment list because sooner or later you would really regret on your decision because profits wont really be felt unless if they still offer lifetime contract then it might be considered good.
6300  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Is HODLINg still valid to make profits on: December 29, 2017, 03:26:32 PM
In crypto volatile price is already given here so if you speculate the it can make profit if you hold any coin but it cannot too.I think the best to do is do invest even the price now is really high. Moreover nothing gonna happen if you didn't try so try even just a little invest then double it if you already earn that's all you can do think positive.

Where do you find the perfect speculation as you said about the crypto you have invested on it. For holding i think you do not need to speculate it and all. That too for bitcoin we will find the bitcoin price to be bumped in the chart.
As we see more speculation said in the forum they all think bitcoin would be touch the 25k USD in some months so holding will be profitable for you if you do invest on it.
When we do talk about bitcoin then its possible to make profits but making us a millionaire then it wont be possible because price of btc is already to huge which It would even hardly attained x2 x3 on its price even on upcoming years but yet we do have still another option which is on altcoin which this can really possibly make this thing happen but the main question on here is that which coin should we hold? This would really be a tough job but its not totally a full speculation since we can always based on our knowledge and skills when researching up things.
