You can update software...

Exactly and Bitcoin is more like a protocol than a mere static implementation of code.

I mean we all know http is doomed and the world quickly moved on to ... er wait no we are still using http today.  Protocols tend to have a longer lifespan.  TCP is almost 30 years old.

right, bitcoin is a protocol. as tcp/ip is the basis of the internet today, bitcoin will be the basis of financial transactions in the future. tcp/ip was created in 1974. microsoft and apple tried to come up with their own protocols. both failed.

also novell and ibm?

yes, and if you take into account their market share back then it is impressive that they all failed.

6334  Local / Projektentwicklung / Re: Erste deutsche Bitcoin AG? on: June 20, 2013, 10:21:49 PM
finde die idee gut. so schnell wie die leute jeden asic-löter mit geld zuschmeissen, müsste es doch möglich sein, auch für sinnvolle projekte wie alternative energien coins zusammenzubekommen.

dranbleiben!
6335  Economy / Speculation / Re: Looks more and more like a 2011 repeat on: June 20, 2013, 09:47:26 PM

November 2010, yep those where the golden times a Bitcoin costs less than 2 cents. The purchase of a singe pizza doubling the price and Satoshi personally still active on this site.  Would't it sometime be nice to turn back time.

"looks more and more like a 2011  2010 - 2013 repeat"

wow I wish I was around then...

imagine to have invested 20 k $ at that price. 30 months ago.

imagine to have invested 20 k $ at todays price. and wait 30 months.

that must be around january 2016
6336  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will there be another big dump this week? on: June 20, 2013, 11:59:25 AM
can't withdraw USD from gox = BITCOIN up!

 Tongue Tongue Tongue

I love how the fiat system is so broken that it takes so long to send from one country to another and bitcoin is instant.

bwahahahahahahahhaha

in another post i referred to an analogy about bitcoin being a formula 1 racecar, running its rounds at record speed, but is not allowed to leave the race track. and if the fuel runs low and you need to fill up - that is the moment you realize that there is no gas at the race track. you need to have it shipped (banks, fiat...), so you do. and when it finally gets there you realize that it was shipped using a donkey cart.

the banking system evolved in 15/16th century italy. it allowed merchants to not physically carry gold around all the time. it is basically a several 100 year old technology.

any bitcoin economy will outpace this old-fashioned technology; the coins run through any circle so much faster than fiat.

bitcoiners experience it every day. non-bitcoiners can´t even imagine.
6337  Economy / Speculation / Re: $95 bitcoins tomorrow? on: June 20, 2013, 11:28:28 AM
I don't know.  I am feeling very bullish.  I think it is going to be $120 by the end of the week.   I don't have a fancy graph, or even any real reason for feeling this way but I think it is on the rise.

Aside from the lucky ones that got in on the 9th, buyers in the last month are down. This week's rise is a corrective rally within a larger downtrend. The last two weeks have shown that the $110 level doesn't attract buyers. An optimistic whale came to the rescue on the 17th. Will lightning strike twice?

lightning strikes 3153600000 x p.a.
6338  Economy / Speculation / Re: $5000+ bitcoin? on: June 20, 2013, 10:45:49 AM
Good job jubalix.

Ideally, the lowest line bring us to 10K in April 2016, 100K in May 2017 and 1 M$ in July 2017.
The "median" line to 10K in June 2016 and 100K in July 2017 and 1 M in August 2017.

confirmed.

Aber viel schlimme finde ich die die Läute die dann auf solche Posts eingehen und diese Kommentieren.
Meist dann auch mit viele Rechdschreibfölern.
