6341  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][POS][MASTERNODES]⚡SEARCHCOIN - decentralized search engine⚡[POS/MN] on: August 31, 2018, 01:59:07 AM
What's your main edge over the new project omnity - https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=4853749?
Combination of PoS/PoW with masternode feature is very common with coins introduced lately.
And most of them, their initial objectives have been neglected, and their focus becomes on the trading side looking for exchanges to list them.
And the ultimate reason - just to dump their coins and get an easy money. Afterwards, disappear into thin air.
How are you going to assure your potential investors that you can really deliver your results here?
6342  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Levitate Coin - LVT on: August 31, 2018, 01:51:19 AM
Thank you for your interests in what Levitate will become and bring. We will however provide information according to our own planning and agenda. Everyone is welcome to buy and sell LVT at any time and price. In fact we are supporters of a widespread coin, so if large holders feel the urge to sell at a low price they are welcome to do so, as that would mean many other people can get a hold of LVT. It does not affect the team, as we will execute our Levitate plans, regardless of Levitate coin price.

Concerning your and others "progress is slow" remarks, this is what the Levitate team accomplished within 6 weeks after launch, -without anyone having to pay for it-:

-snip-

The Levitate team disagree "progress is slow".

I appreciate what the LVT team have done so far.
I have said that because from what it seems, the progress is slow. This is from outside perception.
Now, that you enumerated what has been accomplished so far, it is very clear that you are accomplishing tasks without asking funds from anyone and we commend on that.
While others are raising their funds thru ICO or selling their masternode coins thru discord, this team decided to work on their own.
I hope the sellers at a very low value in that first exchange should think twice and wait for further developments of this project.
6343  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Total Market Capitalization Above 300 B$,will it be sustained on: August 30, 2018, 11:14:21 PM
The market capitalization for all cryptocurrency rose above 300 B$ after a long time above this range,Is the momentum going to be sustained

The momentum is going to be sustained and it will rise up more. There is no going back since cryptocurrency market have already bloomed and people are starting to notice and everyday hundreds to thousands of people across the globe are joining in. On the long run the 300 billion $ total market capitalization will be a miniscule to the futures market capitalization.

I believe such market capitalization will be sustained also.
As the usage of cryptocurrencies is becoming popular, more and more industries are adopting the utilization of these cryptos in their financial transactions.
Blockchain projects will just be a regular thing for businesses that wanted to alter the way they handle their business activities.
So such 300B$ market cap today will be easily surpassed, indicated by how things are progressing in the crypto world.

You're asking if momentum would be sustained or not,in a volatile market yet a bearish one? These types of answers are subjective , and are opinions based on "speculation".

You'll go nowhere with these "answers". But I don't think you'd ever even bother to read these replies or understand it.

Yes, answers are just speculations. But, it's good to read the opinion of others on how things will turn out in crypto.
As you said, they are subjective. We have our own minds on what to believe what will happen next.  Wink
6344  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: A new consensus that promises high levels of security (PoH) on: August 30, 2018, 10:12:39 AM
Bitcoin and most cryptocurrency supposed to be trustless and use consensus method which enable trustless, so IMO this consensus isn't practical at all. Why don't we back using fiat/bank if high degree of trust is required in here.
I also check their explanation (https://www.geeq.io/the-most-secure-blockchain) and they vaguely explain the PoH which don't help at all.

I agree on your points. However, in PoW hasing power is concentrating to 1-2 maximum 3 mining pools so in my opinion this dosn't make them "honest" 100%. Of course, there is a possibility to do a fork if they attack the chain, but wouldn't that affect the reputation of the PoW consensus?

That also applies to most consensus method, but in PoW and some kind PoS, there's punishment/wasting resource such as big amount of staked coins taken away or require million USD for ASIC/electricity when someone attempt to attack network.

As for "who decides who is honest or dishonest", the answer is "Users". People who would be affected by a wrong validation, in other words.

Just with this sentence, there are few critical problem such as :
1. How do they find out whether the user is real or don't have multiple votes/identity within the network?
2. Even if assuming they magically find way to solve 1st problem, people can be bribed, manipulated or have their device hacked to manipulate the vote.

The critical problems that you pointed out are valid for this consensus.
Hence, PoH has a long way to go in establishing their niche here in the crypto world.
It would take time to validate their objectives for this consensus.
With how things are being handled in crypto, there's high chance that being labeled as "dishonest" may not be true at all and vice versa.
The criteria should be very precise on how they identify as "dishonest" or "honest" nodes, as their explanation is still hazy at the moment.
6345  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [ICO] BitDraw- Lottery platform of the future! on: August 29, 2018, 11:59:07 PM
Lottery industry is really huge. So, if this project really takes off, you will tap a large market.
But I'm wondering, what currency are you going to issue to the winners? Fiat or crypto?
Or depends on the preferences of the winners?
6346  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] BITCOIN PRIME on: August 29, 2018, 10:32:56 PM
The Discord channel disappeared and bitcoinprime.org doesn't have a DNS lookup anymore. Maybe someone from Bitcoin Prime can comment on this.

Have they ever hit on exchanges at least?
My impression also when I encountered this is that this will be going to be a pump and dump coin.
Any results of what they are doing here?
6347  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ID] EVEREST - Elevating Humanity on: August 29, 2018, 05:57:40 PM
What do the founders earn from Everest, what will be your profit from all this?

The highest gains will come from seeing this project actualy working.
As for the financial part, there is the team remuneration part.

So, how far is this project in terms of their development plans?
Once this is up and running, you will face another challenge.
The challenge of getting your audience or consumers that will utilize your platform.
But, it seems that you already handle that part just by checking your partners on this project.
And the fact that you are tapping a multi-billion dollar industry.
It's like, I'm sold with this project. Good luck!
6348  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Levitate Coin - LVT on: August 29, 2018, 04:41:38 PM
The Levitate Team is also happy about the progress.
Levitate is not just a coin, it is serious business, supported by its own coin.
If people only knew what we are unfolding behind the scenes,
there would be no LVT selling, only buying.

Any hint Dev? At least give us a glimpse of what's going on here.  Wink
People are selling at a very low price but it's understandable for any coin.
What I like here is that - you haven't run an ICO or any sort of fund raising.
Though the progress is slow from what it seems, we know that you are working behind the scenes.
6349  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Does crypto trading consider as a good profession? on: August 28, 2018, 11:57:35 PM
I wouldn't quit your job to trade crypto, if that's what you're asking.  Wink

A good career definitely has a lot of income. But the encryption industry traders need to be very professional, otherwise it is impossible to make money all the time.

As what they said, don't quit your job especially if it's a stable one.
If you're just a beginner in crypto trading, you will not get your profit as expected.
You need a lot of skills, knowledge, patience and luck to really make this work for you.
Do the trading at your own pace, you will learn a lot of techniques along the way.
Trading entails a lot of risks, so when you start, start small and use only the money that you can afford to lose.
Everyone starts from scratch. Learning the ins and outs in this industry will take so much of your effort and time.
6350  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ICO] Bastion Token - A very unique way to build a unique house on: August 28, 2018, 10:22:43 PM
Not all tokens are made to bring a unique feature Smiley this one is more a lending proof between individuals
The blockchain is there to lock the transaction and to be able to verify the lendings

Who is behind ? Me, info is on the website.
Soft cap depends of the banks, maximum 125k€

I would like to ask what is special to create this token on Waves platform and what unique feature you are offering which is worth to invest in it. There is info who is behind this project and what is soft cap for this ICO?

Have you done your research regarding waves platform?
Most assets in waves are already dead. And also, if in case you will be successful in building that house, what will you do after that?
Please be real here. My impression is - this will go nowhere.
6351  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: ETH ready to bounce back? on: August 28, 2018, 01:51:06 PM
I think Ethereum is ready to bounce back to return on it's way to uptrend , but it can't go against the market , so if Bitcoin will go down again Ethereum will do the same. Technically Ethereum is moved out from local downtrend and have a good chances for a grow if market situation will be favorable

Most of the other alts are also in the upward trend when bitcoin's price is increasing.
So, it's not only eth that has the same behavior with BTC. And yes, if BTC will go down again, high chance that eth will follow.
And if eth platform will continue to cater blockchain projects that are being created everyday, then, there's no worry that the platform is going to be weak because of other competitors.
6352  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin 6800 $, in a month $ 10,000, and after two $ 15,000. on: August 28, 2018, 06:33:20 AM
I've been watching the crypt movement on the market for a very long time and that's what I noticed. During this year there were four waves of take-off and fall of bitcoins, and this takeoff, truthfully slow, is the forerunner of the fifth wave of bitcoin takeoff. I think its cost in a month, and maybe even earlier will reach $ 10,000. Then takeoff will be much faster and swift. And how do you think about this.

It is very hard to predict its movement. Only whales can see the potential movement and can participate on its price. But I assured you that the market will be bullish once once submission of ETF approved and when it happens get ready to possible ATH again cause probably whales will use this to lure the community into pumping btc and likely will be effective since its a great news as well. Anyway September 7 is the decision of one ETF Im afraid it will be rejected again but I'm confident about Vaneck and SolidX proposal.

Actually, it's a tough job speculating what would be the price of bitcoin one month from now, 2 or 6 months from now.
Even whales, they are not the hotshots to call for such price. Unless, such group of whales has really the large percentage of ownership of bitcoin or has millions of dollars that can really change the movement in the market.
But then again, it would be nice if bitcoin will start to have the steady growth of its price.
6353  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Stop SCAM in the ICO market on: August 28, 2018, 06:23:51 AM
We don't need another project just to focus on this type of mission.
Several had already attempted to address this long running problem.
Yet, scammers are always there, acquiring money from naive users.
Maybe you can push thru with this kind of objective. But, please don't raise another ICO project.
Make it a life long mission instead. Are you ready to take this burden free of charge?
Or just let the users do their job and responsibilities?

The OP is just a long description of your project, but to no avail, you haven't even published your website to refer on.
So is your website also under Proof of Concept up until now?
We can't rely the feasibility of the project with just pure texts only.
We need substantial evidence that you are really working on this one.
6355  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [XTV] Centive - Blockchain-based Incentive Network on: August 27, 2018, 01:59:18 PM
The amount that you wanted to raise ($35M) is a huge amount of money.
With that target, high chance that you will have difficulty in achieving that amount.
If you failed to get that target, will the development of your product be affected? Or will it continue?
You already have the demo, but how far it is with respect to your final product?

6357  Economy / Economics / Re: 46+ Real World Blockchain Use Cases [INFOGRAPHIC] on: August 26, 2018, 10:37:52 PM
Why aren't cryptocurrencies listed in this infographic?

They are probably the most practical and widely used function of blockchains right now. Yet, they're being left out?

It's clear to me that private blockchains are going to be developed by corporations increasingly in the future, each with their own practical uses. However, even if major cryptos like bitcoin are seen as impractical right now, these decentralized cryptocurrencies on the blockchain will still be the leading force of blockchain technology in the future, as merchant adoption rises.

Most blockchain enthusiasts and influencers don't care very much about cryptocurrencies since there are a lot of more interesting things to do with the blockchain tech. I talk a lot with people involved in blockchain (in their job, project, etc) and cryptocurrency is a topic that rarely comes out on a discussion

Maybe the presentation is this way because only few percentage of people on earth really know how to deal with cryptocurrencies or owners of crypto coins.
And presenting the use case of blockchain in a more tangible presentation using those physical companies that really utilize the blockchain, where most people even ordinary individuals are acquainted with or familiar with, would be easier to explain the significance of blockchain rather than presenting the presence of thousands of cryptocurrencies that crypto enthusiasts are trading everyday.
6358  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How did you feel when you found out it was a SCAM? on: August 26, 2018, 12:01:12 AM
It's not about the bounty that I found out it was a scam, but the ICO that I invested with.
Though, I haven't invested so much but it's already a month-salary here in my country.
And then, I just reconciled with myself because reading hateful comments/posts from the investors, I found out that some invested like 10-25k$, and now, it's worth almost nothing.
So, I'm not alone with the situation, even if you feel cursing the team. The thing is they don't know you and they have the money. Just move on. It's a part of life.
6359  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: BuildingBlocks (BH4H) - Building Homes 4 Homeless. on: August 24, 2018, 11:34:13 PM

Nicely done. Like I said, if your intentions are good then by all means. Hell, if they're bad, it's still a free world. I just would caution against jumping on the blockchain/token/crypto bandwagon to solve problems that obviously have deep underlying issues. And holding the coin is again for clear and present market value. Trust in the coin to get more organic value if you can actually get people to use them (as opposed to holding them). Bitcoin showed the way, and that way hasn't changed, even if it's obscured by the vulgarity of crypto speculation.

Very true. With that being said, most of the projects that have great mission like this (i.e. they want to save the world from poverty, etc.) are not authentic ones.
I'm not saying that this one is not. But, they need to prove something here before you can really trust a project like this.
Anyway, they are not forcing anyone to join their project. Up to the user if he will participate or not.
You can't really address this kind of problem thru crypto only. There's a lot more to consider on this kind of mission.
6360  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is Buying Steem Dollars (SBD) looks a good choice. on: August 24, 2018, 11:11:04 PM
All  altcoins are bleeding now including SBD. Is it good opportunity to invest in Steemit platform.
Did anybody benefited there without investing there. Look like they have too much bots ,paid upvotes and likes and hardly anything for a good content.
So I think only few might able to succeed there without investing.

SBD is probably not going to be worth much more than 1$. Of course you can say it has been worth 14$ in the crazy January crypto market, but SBD is generally considered equivalent to 3rd party debt, not to Steemit equity (Steem).

Aside from that, what other use case would be for SBD to increase its value?
Based from wiki, they have +1million users. Are all users aware about crypto?
If you have that large number of users already, no doubt that SBD has still value.
But, outside steemit, is there any other application for SBD? If not, then, steemit non users will not find it useful for them.
