Every mistake has its lessons. When you make a mistake, there are three things you should do: admit it, learn from it and do not repeat it.
Ever since i had been in this space, i have only been used to bitcoin, ethereum, NEO, waves, tokens that use their platform and some other very common coins, but just this week was my first time of transacting fully on XLM platform.
I got a token that uses the platform of Stellar (XLM) and i was able to trade the token into XLM on their decentralized exchange.
My mistake came in when i was about to transfer the XLM, to be traded into BTC on another exchange.
I thought the process of transfer would be the one i had been used to, not knowing that i was supposed to include a "MEMO".
I eventually transferred it, waited for hour, but found nothing.
I was bothered.
It was in that process i got to know that memo was to be included. That was my mistake.
I admitted i had made the mistake.
The lesson i learnt is to always study every thing first (both new and old, because old things can still change), before jumping into it.
This mistake i have made up my mind to never repeat again.
I AM SHARING THIS FOR YOU TO LEARN FROM MY MISTAKES AND FROM YOURS.

i don't get the whole message, after sending it to exchange without using MEMO, did your coin disappear or what, what is the implication of not using MEMO. |

Guys are all Airdrops and Bounty campaigns are a scam? any source for trusted ones? or any way to make crypto for free?
Most Airdrops websites are paid by the owners of the projects they don't care if these projects are scam or not since they get their payments in ETH or BTC so I don't trust them!

Amidst of many scam project, good bounty and airdrop can still be found though to come across those type of good project and airdrop is scarce, i can still point at one or two project that i did and are successful. |

More than 46% of last year ico has failed, i observed new ico launched in 2018 i think 90% of those ico will fail. Scammer have change it to means of stealing from people many of they lack a single trait of quality blockchain technology.

Hey guys! I wanted to ask you, how do you collect data for the twitter reports during bounty campaigns where you participate? I mean links to your tweets and retweets, and date of this tweets for example. Do you collect data manually, or you use some automatic services?
when i use to do twitter bounty my weekly report are done manually, to the best of my knowledge report can't be sent through automatic services. A bot can't report your twitter tweet/retweet on bitcointalk thread. |

Hi, I see a lot of members waiting for like 7 days and they didn't getting any profit.. After 14 days the price is dropping.. They screaming on bitcointalk and Twitter.. (some of them  ) My answer.. Just wait! - Developers can't work 24 hours a day - don't check the twitter or ANN every hour  - a project in blockchain isn't a job for a week.. Be patient.. If you wait a year or a couple of months you get much more profit.Many folks are so inpatient blockchain tech set up is not child play, building a successful project take time to achieve a full development nothing good comes easy. |

If bonuses are higher on pre sale, why do so many people wait for public sale? I seen thrive get a huge jump on public sale? I don't understand?
I think certain amount are set i.e minimum and maximum amount a pre sale participant can buy a lot of buyer might not have fund to take part in pre sale because the minimum purchase is higher than the minimum of public sale that is why more people take part in pre sale than public sale. |

Another day, another hack. Basically My Ether Wallet was hacked via the chrome extension hola. At this point it isn't known how many users have been affected or how many tokens have been lost. https://thenextweb.com/hardfork/2018/07/10/mew-hack-hola/So my question to you is will you still use MEW? Do you think it is their responsibility what happened? The hack that happened a couple months ago was bad enough, but now another one? I find it hard to believe that their credibility will be salvaged after this. Actually, every time MYETHERWALLET has been compromised, the theft is due to negligence of users, i think it is always important to double check the website before use, i hope the victim learn how to be more careful using it due to frequent attack, to cut the story short, i will still use MEW. |

Since most of the alt coins are traded with BTC or ETH. SO I think altcoins prie are dependent on the price of this two.
What is your opinion please share.
If you have been watching market for sometime, you will come to understand that altcoins price depend on bitcoin, including ethereum price. Their price fall when bitcoin drop i think it is obvious they all depend on the price of cryptoking which is bitcoin. |

Hey guys, do you think It is better to hold main crypto currencies like bitcoin it ether? Or you hold all your money in alt coins?
I think investment on botcoin and other well known coins is better instead of gambling on shit coins which will die as result of bad team supervising the project that is why i said you should invest on already established coins. |

The security breach of myetherwallet has been reoccurring but all users must always double check before they go ahead in using it. To be safe i would suggest mycrypto.com as a better alternative.

I am a newbie just trying to grow on this platform. Within a week of participating in altcoin bounties, 2 bounties I participated in have been reported as Scammers. I get a lot of reads on my articles and Social media pages. I cannot keep encouraging people to invest in these altcoins if they would eventually get scammed. How can new bounty hunters like myself differentiate between a genuine bounty and scammers bounty?
I would advice you check team first, are they not fake, also check if they are known figures when it comes to administration issue, blockchain as well, nowadays a lot of team are hungry team hunting for eth to steal. |

Hi everyone. Its been long time since providing merit system. Firstly i thought its good idea. To improve your rang you should write good quality posts to get merit. It means less shitposting here, less spam. But what we see now? Nobody gives you this, you can just buy it with horrible ptice, 1 merit - 10$. So you have only 2 ways: buy merit or buy account. Or stay with your rang forever. What do you think?

If Bitcoin is king of cryprocurrency, then Ethereum is the king of all ICOs ,do you agree? Stella,neo and no other blockchain has hosted ICO than Ethereum.
I think you are very correct on that evaluation more than 95 % of ico uses ethereum smart contract as foundation for project. it of recent due to network clog that new ico are looking at other network like NEO, XLM, NEM for their start up base. |

Do you mean how will this affect their economy? This shows how venerable banking system can also be, hacking and fraud is not peculiar only to blockchain technology alone, personally i think government should embrace this technology, provide good atmosphere for it, improve on what is already on ground rather than allowing the media to manipulate it anyhow. |

I tried to open many threads as i am turning my head away from those non sense post but most of the times i do not have a choice but to discuss also with them. Now i hope that this thread will reach out to those people who are always posting nonsense thread and think of a post that is constructive where we could have an active discussion regarding a topic that is not boring.
Yes, i think you have raised a valid point, the fact that merit system was introduced, it hasn't reflect yet on improving the quality of posts and thread on the forum, i shake my head when i check some topic, they are total garbage, some people post only for the sake of doing it or just to fulfil signature requirement, i think better measure should be introduce to improve the quality of thread on bitcointalk forum. |
