ok, got it...see it...
not exactly the account history page, close enough...

Now do we agree that KNC advertised and still advertise Batch 2 as November shipping? Smiley
YES
I never said they didn't advertise shipping in November, which they did  begin...just like october... which is exactly what I expected, a repeat of past events...
I'm talking about the word used..."Promise"

Which was never stated along with any delivery dates.
I experience the same delays...  as am now...   Cry

Amazing what happens to a person's tone once they have been "comp'd a few October boards"...
642  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Swedish ASIC miner company kncminer.com on: November 30, 2013, 10:45:56 PM

Same situation with the shipping situation. Did they achieve their goal to ship all miners in november or will the delivery last into december?

600 units shipped according to Sam. He expects all to be shipped by Wednesday, which I personally doubt, being realistic.

Btw if anyone is interested you can get rid of the 24 pin cable on the PSU (V850 only) by doing this (bottom cable is PSU_ON to Ground and top cable is Ground to Ground):

This also works on the V1000, just tested it.

Just ordered Neptune order #124xx

Are they going to oversell the 1200 like they did the cards?  That's over 1200 orders based on order numbers alone much less orders with multiple units. I guess it's the first 1200 to pay for their orders then they'll cancel the rest like they did with the cards.
644  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Swedish ASIC miner company kncminer.com on: November 27, 2013, 12:36:27 AM

What matters, is how much do you make with a 3TH miner..

knowing KNC it'll be more than 3TH..  probably 4TH if you have enough power to run it right

I think a lot of customers would of been fine buying more of those Nov designed jupiters for a late Feb delivery then not knowing how the Neptune will rollout

I think the idea was that they are not going to inflate the network until their competitors do.  No reason to sell anything else for delivery now since nobody else is.  If that changes, I'm sure they will sell more too.

Why start selling the Neptune now?  That's what their competitors are doing.  Promising something for 3 or 4 months from now and taking in money people want to spend on mining gear.  Why not get a piece of the pie rather than let the competitors get stronger. Its really about crushing the competition.  Who is going to order Cointerra now?
645  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Swedish ASIC miner company kncminer.com on: November 25, 2013, 01:35:42 AM
If anyone is looking to sell, I will buy any KNC equipment you have for 5 BTC per card.  20 BTC for Jupiter, 10 BTC for Saturn and 5 BTC for Mercury.  PM me.

646  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Swedish ASIC miner company kncminer.com on: November 20, 2013, 12:04:50 AM
For anything related to politics, that was pretty interesting.

Basically, they don't want bitcoin to be used to fund terrorism or buy drugs.

Otherwise, they seemed quite interested in it's potential for innovation.

You need to read between the lines.   What i took from it was..  It's fine as long as we have a the right to cease funds, and every exchange muh collect personal details, same as a bank.

I guess people only heard what they wanted to here!  crypto will carry on regardless
What I got "Between the lines" Is that they want traceability, and identity; they were promised that....end of story.
Look for a huge jump in BTC price now! Wow.

So they want traceability.  Now that's fair enough, but that then makes my bitcoin have a little more in common with my credit card.

Lets be honest the anonymity of crypto is the main selling point.

But regardless back on topic!

Not even close to the main selling point and not as anonymous as you think.
647  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Swedish ASIC miner company kncminer.com on: November 18, 2013, 04:51:59 AM
If anybody has a Juniper they want to part with, PM me your asking price

While he is buying trees, I am buying planets if anyone is selling...
648  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Swedish ASIC miner company kncminer.com on: November 17, 2013, 02:27:31 AM

But the whole thing is meant to screw thru the aluminum blank to the case it looks like.  Nothing to screw into under the board I guess...  Are those aluminum blanks hollow?  I'll have to be careful with the size of a bolt I guess underneath so it doesn't cross anything.

argh...

You are better of selling them I think.  Phoenix or Special-K will buy them off you for sure.

...and talked to Liam to confirm delivery on modules for Monday....

Is this true?

Who is that guy and how does he know if anyone called and when?
Cyper I was referring to that guy on the KnC forums. The guy that owns 10Jupiters. He said today on there "I called and talked to Liam and modules will be sent out Monday" - not exact words but you get what I mean.

If this is true, why wouldn't Orama come on here and tell us if there was a delay. He's not just going to put his head in the sand and pretend like nothing happened.  Give him some credit.
652  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: HashFast announces specs for new ASIC: 400GH/s on: November 14, 2013, 03:51:15 AM
Thanks. KnC did fabrication from chips-in-hand to ready boards in a single day, HF announced it needs a week maximum. Add a week to your calculation and we get a realistic possible delivery date at the end of this month + add the substrate waiting time.

HF ≠ KNC. Delivery will be in January 2014 if everything goes smooth.  If not, delivery will be closer to BFL time scales.
653  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Swedish ASIC miner company kncminer.com on: November 12, 2013, 03:12:27 PM
I have order #1082X for two boards but I was not given any shipping options other than Local Stockholm Pickup. KNC has shipped my two complete miners to Santa Fe already, so I know they have my valid address.

I am happy to schedule a FedEx pickup in stockholm using my personal account or pay KNC for DHL, but I wonder if anyone else ran into this same issue?

It looks like I have a pretty low order # for upgrade modules, so I wonder if they ticked the "free shipping" box on their shopping cart admin and then noticed it after the first few orders came in. Maybe?

-Dana

I had the same problem.  I am in the same situation as you and waiting for a response from KNC on what to do.
654  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Swedish ASIC miner company kncminer.com on: November 09, 2013, 08:06:26 PM
blockchain.info will refund to the sender after 36-48 hours or so if no miner is kind enough to include it in a block.

Troll much, or are you just misinformed?
You have a different answer?
Please utter it.
2 bashes now on Paladin69, without ANY explanation....
**** Thanks guys...
I really feel informed now...

It will get picked up eventually.  No worries.
655  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Swedish ASIC miner company kncminer.com on: November 09, 2013, 07:20:48 PM
I looked at youtube videos of jupiters. these things are much quieter than a BFL 60, right?

They are as quiet as 6 fans at 1350rpm can be. So yeah - not silent, but rather quiet Wink
I sleep 2 feet from my machines.... not bad at all....

I wish I can sleep next to them too  Cheesy
I'm a very light sleeper, so I can't fall asleep even next to a laptop.
Pretend you are on a United Flight.... hehehe
I actually have it so the warm air from the heatsinks blows across my feet.... Smiley

Question....
Someone sent me some BTC... a substantial amount...  but it looks as if they didn't pay the transaction fees; the deposit into my account is "unconfirmed" now for almost 24 hours, and on blockchain.info, the que position of the transaction keeps getting bumped down...
Should I be worried?  How long to clear?

So, does this mean pools search for transactions with fees, and it might not get picked up by the blockchain until a diff increase?

blockchain.info will refund to the sender after 36-48 hours or so if no miner is kind enough to include it in a block.

LOL!
656  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Swedish ASIC miner company kncminer.com on: November 08, 2013, 06:17:38 PM
Calling O'rama a liar repeatedly when he's just relaying messages makes you look retarded.
It's getting really old too. There are entirely too many pages of it.

Please tell me that is not directed at Bargraphics?  Roll Eyes
It's directed to those who are doing it. Names witholding.... Doesn't matter. I don't see the obsession with accusing O'rama of all kinds of shit. He has done nothing wrong....period.

KnC has some really shrill customers, ya know?

I've been following the MBP bitfury thread as well, and those units have as many problems, at least, as the KnC units. Both seem to overall be great products, but they have problems and peculiarities. The other thread has mostly remained civil, whereas this one is like a war zone.

Entertaining, but more than a bit over the top.

Look at the amount of communication they get over there.  That is the difference.
657  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Swedish ASIC miner company kncminer.com on: November 08, 2013, 12:43:35 AM
The difference between Bar, myself and say Avenger is that we're real customers and we're expecting reasonable outcomes.

In this forum, where every participant is free to express their feelings in accordance with the subject discussed, the only difference between you and Avenger is the username. Do not really matter if he is a real KnCminer customers or not, he is free to express his opinion as much as you are. Put him in an ignore list will not change the facts.

I don't know what to think of you Augusto.  Sometimes you are a complete moron like the the nitpicking over who generates a block and other times you make some really good points.
658  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Swedish ASIC miner company kncminer.com on: November 06, 2013, 07:16:47 PM
Can someone verify that the address I was given to return the module to is correct?
According to a manager at UPS International, this is not a valid address.

KnCMiner
Birger Jarlsgatan 33
11145 Stockholm
Sweden

I wrote it as:

KNC
33 Birger Jarlsgatan
Stockholm 11145
Sweden

and they accepted that.  KNC received it and I am getting my replacement tomorrow in the US via UPS.

No, you had an infinite number of choices on how to invest your money.  Why single out buying BTC as the only other alternative to buying a miner?

What is said was:
Quote
If you had $7000 to invest in BTC

We're not comparing investing in BTC to other forms of investments, only investing in BTC via mining or directly.

I personally did buy BTC directly as well as buy a miner and I lost my shorts on the direct BTC investment.  Sitting here today, I know I should have just held it but I sold for a loss of ~30%.  When you say "you should have bought BTC instead of a miner", what you are really saying is "you should have bought BTC on the day you bought your miner and used your powers of prediction to delay selling it until today."

When you bought the miner you also invested in BTC that you would receive in a predicted future time period. You would have of course also predicted that the exchange rate would be the same or higher at that time if you decided to invest. The same is true when investing directly. You could have decided to hold those BTC until a certain period of time or many of the investment strategies that people employ. The fact is that you had the option to sell or hold which you don't when investing in a miner pre-order. So yes investing in a miner does help panic selling when you have no solid investment strategy but also prevents you from cashing out when there's a rally such as the time I was waiting for my Batch #2 Avalons and the rate hit $260. It works both ways and your decision to sell at a loss is not related to your BTC ROI on the miner.

I am not investing in BTC.  I am investing in any way to make dollars.  I have many investments.  This one happens to have something to do with BTC but what it does is generate dollars.
660  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Swedish ASIC miner company kncminer.com on: November 05, 2013, 11:42:13 PM
He's only saying that the investment in the miner was bad. Not the investment in BTC.

Why would a 100% ROI would be considered bad?
Do you also not understand the grammatical difference between bad, worse and worst?

I will try one more time to explain.

If you had $7000 to invest in BTC, you have 2 choices. You can invest directly at the current exchange rate or you can invest in a Jupiter for a predicted amount of BTC over a period of time. Those are your two choices. Both have the risk of the exchange rate changing. Investing in a miner has an added risk of delays/difficulty increases. You should only choose to invest in the miner if you believe it will mine more BTC than you can purchase. If your miner made less BTC than you could have purchased directly then you made the wrong choice. The fact that you still made a fiat profit is great but it was not because you decided to invest in the miner but because you decided to invest in BTC via the miner but for a worse rate than you could have gotten on an exchange.

No, you had an infinite number of choices on how to invest your money.  Why single out buying BTC as the only other alternative to buying a miner?  You could of, just as easily said, buy 7200 lottery tickets or buy shares of Facebook.  Many, many investments could have been better or worse than buying a miner.  Pointing out that buying BTC would have been better is not only obvious sitting here today with BTC at $240 but doesn't prove that buying a miner was a bad idea.
