Still nothing? I'm beginning to have my doubts about this supposed takeover.
I'll have some screens of the new wallet early this week, just to wipe out any doubts Still unclear on how the coin distribution should be. We wanna take as much GIMP owners with us and still appeal to new people. Full POS? POW phase? Short, long? I'm planning on having an open discussion about all that soon. We would really need some initial funding for the prototypes, but even CCex has a 3BTC IPO fee. We have the time and the knowledge but we don't have the funds.. There's a lot of thoughts going into this project, we just wanna get it right. Even if CCex delists GIMP we will do the swap manually if we can find a suitable escrow. Thanks for the update crush. I've not had much luck with my last few investments and it's made me a bit cynical, so when there's no news for a couple of weeks I start getting apprehensive. Glad that you guys are making progress and grateful for the work you're putting in. Maybe you could double the current supply, do a one-to-one swap for GIMP holders, use 10% for an ICO on here using a trustable member for escrow (to avoid the C-Cex fee) and then the rest for mining (using as fair an algo as possible). PoW coins in general seem to be taken more seriously and lead to better distribution (especially if the PoW period is over several years). Since it seems like it's only the three of us left  what do you think gaazje? I agree with he above and try to make the PoW reward decent but not over the top, multipool also needed. And a new catchy coinname! Crushcoin? Surecoin? Agree. Just keep the same PoS interest. |

Everybody please keep watching the thread. We're going to fork the coin so coins will mature faster and minted coins will confirm faster so the blockchain will speed up, but we also need help by getting as many staking wallets on the new fork as possible.
OK, once on new chain I will break mine into smaller amounts so chain will move along nicely. Excellent news! I remember exactly I have break my coins into blocks of 20-30 coins in October or November. And then I did not pay attention to coincontrol. And now I have opened my coincontrol and saw that all the blocks again gathered in one pile. How is that possible? We must also check auto block split function. We are testing the new wallet now, will keep you posted & thinking that Friday will be a required update & new ANN thread will be created. Great NEWS! Thanks for your hard work, guys! |

@noise23 , may i know why the 2 wallets , trk and tek both done by you . but stake diffently. tek wallet now flawless stakes in mins. but trk still need hours ? thanks for the wonderful work on the tek wallet
This is due to the difference in networks difficulty and because of the PoS reward/block limit in TRK. 1. TRK network difficulty is currently 0.4, whereas TEK network difficulty is 0.0004. 2. TRK has PoS reward/block limit: 200 TRK per block. Therefore, the recommended size of the blocks here is 2000-3000 coins. TEK hasn't such limitation. Therefore, the TEK block size may be even 200k coins. Also here diffent min coinages: 9 days in TRK and 30 days in TEK. Now think: which one will stake first: 1. 2000TRK block with 9 days age and difficulty 0.4 or 2. 200000TEK block with 30 days age and difficulty 0.0004? Do not answer, a rhetorical question. These are two different systems and compare them is wrong. But, in my opinion, the TRK network has become more secure after the PoS reward limitation. but the truck wallet will split the block after stake , correct cause it over the limit size of 220. that means we must do it manually , and glue the block to larger size? Starting from v.0.9.7 TRK wallet has -splitthreshold option, which allows you to set a splitthreshold. So, do not need to do anything manually. Just set a splitthreshold to 300(once) and enjoy: New features:
# On Thursday, 18 Dec 2014 20:23:23 GMT a hard fork will occur:
- PoS reward limit per block will be set to 200 TRK.

Can be used as command line option or setting in .conf file or can be set in Qt wallet gui in Settings > Options > Main
Please see your last post you said 2000 unit block size , which is still over 300, so it would split into 7 blocks or 2? No matter what size will your blocks: 100 or 2000. With the current difficulty even the units with 100 coins will catch stake within 30 days. Yes, it takes more than 9 days, but you will get the same percentage per annum. I also have a blocks with 150 coins and they catch stake every 15-20 days. However, when the network difficulty will increase, it will take longer and blocks will reach the limit of 200 PoS coins. The same thing is happening with HyperStake right now. This is called an inflation control. Also, this increases the speed and security of the network. The more small blocks will be involved in the PoS-minting, the higher the difficulty, security and speed of the network. |
