641  Economy / Gambling / Re: How succesful will AI projects be to win the house? on: June 17, 2023, 07:42:34 PM
Since AI is growing gradually, it might take some time for people to see the light in AI and try to follow it. It is already known that AI might be a big problem to us in the nearest tears to come and we need to limit the kind of power we give to artificial intelligence to execute some actions for us.
Artificial Intelligence will replace lazy and useless humans who can't do their work with perfection or even if they do it, they take way more time than required for a specific task, if companies can get work done more efficiently that too at a less price with an AI model, why would they pay a higher amount to a human that will waste the money and the time as well?
People are promoting AI in a way that is a little bit further away from reality. Employees who were useless but the company had no other option to retain them. Now AI has come to relieve the company from such difficulties. Those who are smart enough are arranging their new jobs by using this AI, because it requires professional AI experts to do the best job using AI. So those who can change themselves with time, no one can take away their jobs.
642  Economy / Exchanges / Re: What's next? on: June 17, 2023, 06:46:26 PM
I used to use Coinbase for free trading from one crypto user to another crypto user via email, that was four or five years ago. Then sometime coinbase changed some rules and closed many accounts, but they allowed to withdraw funds from those suspended accounts. And that was my last use of coinbase.

Binance is currently the most widely used exchange by crypto traders, investors, and is widely accepted due to its ease of use. This pressure on Binance may affect the market temporarily, but it will not cause any major long-term impact on the crypto market. Because if the operation of Binance is stopped, then a new player will emerge in the market which will take the place of Binance. Because many exchanges have collapsed in the past and companies like Binance have taken over the space. So crypto market is free market, if you are smart enough no bad news will affect you. The crypto community is now waiting to see the outcome of this lawsuit against them, and what acceptance it creates in the market. Because crypto users may already be busy looking for alternative exchanges to these exchanges, because no one will sit for anyone, no one will risk their own funds.
643  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cricket match prediction discussions on: June 17, 2023, 06:20:54 PM
Two days to go for the start of the 2023 ODI Cricket World Cup Qualifier. The grouping is as follows:

My prediction is that the following teams would advance to the super-6 stage:
Group A: Zimbabwe, Nepal and West Indies
Group B: Ireland, Scotland and Sri Lanka

What happens in Super-6 is difficult to predict, for now.
I expect 2023 ODI Cricket World Cup Qualifier matches to be very competitive before the World Cup. I will also support the top 3 teams out of the five from Group A among them Super 6 is more likely to be present. These teams are Zimbabwe, Nepal and West Indies but I have a doubt in Group B where Sri Lanka and Ireland most probably qualify but I am a bit skeptical about who to put ahead of the other 3 teams. Because anyone from Oman, Scotland and United Arab Emirates can rise up from this World Cup Qualifier. When there is such uncertainty, those matches will be enjoyable.
Don't want to see another unexpected result like T20I World Cup. As a cricket lover, it was painful to see West Indies being eliminated from the World Cup. So I want West Indies and Sri Lanka to qualify in this one day World Cup.
I am a fan of Sri Lanka cricket team, I definitely want Sri Lanka to play in the main stage of the World Cup. But going to the main stage doesn't seem to be easy for Sri Lanka, let's see if they can make a strong comeback or not.
644  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gender in Gambling [differences between Women and Men in Gambling] on: June 17, 2023, 05:33:15 PM
Do you think the results of the research above are correct?

I know that the number of women involved in gambling is very small because in some countries, people's views of female gamblers are still very bad and they are considered dirty and unfit to be a wife. maybe the results of this research can be used by gambling business owners in developing their business.
I cannot attest to the credibility of this research but I can say that I agree with them whether right or wrong. Women do not gamble much. In my country, there are not many casino's but many sports betting places. You barely find women in these places because of how inappropriate it is to find women in this kind of places. Women gamble more secretly than openly, because of how unacceptable many society has made this character to be. In my country, Men gamble more than women.
In every country you will find women gambling less than men. There are also countries where women are not seen gambling. Many men in my country have made gambling a profession, some have made gambling their means of earning. But I have not seen women gambling in my country yet. Women cannot emotionally connect themselves with gambling for fear of losing money, because women think more about winning than men.

Yes i am sure that . Are you Steve? Why are you asking a lot questions to me? If you are Steve you should solve this problem. If you aren’t Steve , You shouldn't ask so many detailed questions. I think i said clearly my purpose.
Why are you so arrogant with him? This is a community, @holydarkness was just trying to help you. He tried to attract other members here about your problem by making the discussion easier by asking questions about your problem. But you have misbehaved with him, if you talk to anyone with this attitude no one will come to help you. Good luck
646  Other / Archival / Re: No panic while holding my Bitcoin on: June 16, 2023, 05:31:30 PM
This is exactly how a new investor should start his journey. Many newbies are always short of patience, they don't want to spend time on learning which eventually ends their journey by facing huge losses. Bitcoin is a thing of learning, one who learns about Bitcoin properly knows how his invested money is safe in Bitcoin on the other hand.

Because the history of Bitcoin is very clear to those who have been involved in the Bitcoin market for a long time. So your efforts are very good and hope you continue your learning process and stay well in this market for a long time ignoring all obstacles. An investor who invests time in learning can extract the right information and results from the market.
647  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to Know the Next PEPE on: June 16, 2023, 05:18:42 PM
There are all kinds of investors in the crypto market, those investors who have patience always try to think smartly so that they can stay in the market for a long time. Memecoin is something you shouldn't run with all your funds behind. These coins should be played with small amount of funds, so as not to face huge financial losses even if they are scammed. So it's important to look at how you deal with these, from everyone's point of view.

When a Memecoin becomes trending in the crypto world and gets listed on all the major exchanges, it is actually the end game of that coin. Then actually that project then collects dump money and dumps it to late buyers. So investors can be everyone but at the end of the day smart investors can win.
I think it would be the problem, because they can go so high for a while with some potential, but they hit their potential very quickly and then fizzle out. I do not think that it would make sense right now to just buy anything that is listed on a high exchange. Like no meme project listed at Binance would worth a purchase, because that means it reached the highest point it could reach and will not go any higher.

I know that some people would love to see it change eventually but that's the case. This is why I disagree that it should be done with small amount, if you ask me it should be done with no amount at all, it should be avoided as much as possible and that way it would be a lot better for the person since they would be avoiding any losses.
Investors who lose money in the crypto market do so mostly because of greed. When any project creates a lot of hype in the market, it creates more chances of collapse, but in these cases, investors tend to ignore it. The crypto market creates a lot of opportunities for investors, those who can exploit those opportunities at the right time are successful. And those who are late buyers, because it is listed in big exchange, they keep buying because they think it is a solid project. They always make losses.
648  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: who would you trust? on: June 15, 2023, 08:57:10 PM
You can only trust yourself. Maybe I'm paranoid, of course, but trusting other people is quite dangerous, and often this risk does not justify itself.
You can trust yourself the most when your trading knowledge and strategy seem effective. Because if you don't have trading skills, trusting yourself will not get proper results, but more opposite results may come. A trader often needs to follow different traders to develop his trading strategy and prepare himself better by analyzing their activities.
So if you want to fully trust yourself, you have to build up your trading skills and develop the ability to understand the market.
649  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to Know the Next PEPE on: June 14, 2023, 05:49:33 PM
Mulling over memecoins, are we? Its similar to staking on a handicapped racehorse—volatile, high-stakes venture. However, victory isn't guaranteed for every player.

Predicting the next sensation is complex. Sure, early adopters gain, but when market chatter amplifies, that's predator time. Can many perfect timing?

The fervor is dangerous — it can multiply your venture or plummet it. What about the multitudes who've lost all? Wouldn't a patient, intelligent investment plan more important here?

There are all kinds of investors in the crypto market, those investors who have patience always try to think smartly so that they can stay in the market for a long time. Memecoin is something you shouldn't run with all your funds behind. These coins should be played with small amount of funds, so as not to face huge financial losses even if they are scammed. 651  Economy / Gambling / Re: Without money, does it still qualify as gambling? on: June 11, 2023, 09:40:36 PM
What the OP is saying is also a form of gambling, because participating in a game by predicting its future is also gambling. It is also not correct to say that only the game involving money is gambling and all others are not gambling.

Sometimes I used to see the police around my region arresting people publicly playing shot card games and the label it as gambling even though those playing this game don't stake money but the law enforcement agency still categorized it as gambling, so I believe whether or not you stake an amount or just playing for the fun, it all gambling as long as there is a game to contend for the winning unless it sports games if not it all gambling.
Card games are considered illegal in countries where gambling is not legal, causing police to arrest players even if no money is involved. According to the rules of the country, if the card game is considered illegal to play publicly, then the police will arrest the players. I myself have seen many players get arrested just for playing cards in public places, they were just playing the game for entertainment.

Well, as far as I know their manager do not care whether the accounts participating are tagged or not, so they included them anyways. Regardless whether they continue to participate here on the forum or not, the priority should be to try to keep this place clean from scams and if we cannot directly kick them out, let people know the shady practices a shady casino can have, until they lose enough volume in the forum to make them stop coming around here.

I find that is what is needed to happen in any crypto community which values the integrity of their members and the financial health of possible victims, having gambling addiction is bad enough, crossing path with a casino like this one is even worse...
They didn't even care to accept the tagging account in their signature campaign with an arrogant attitude, but the result of that is not good, it can be guessed by reading the news of their campaign being closed. Community members in this forum have already been able to establish 1xbit as a scam casino, so gamblers will stay away from this casino no matter how many campaigns 1xbit runs.

Maybe this community can kick out such more dirty casinos from this forum completely. Those who work against scams, it is a war against scams for them.
653  Economy / Gambling / Re: 1XBIT.COM ᐉ 7 BTC WB ᐉ Altcoin Betting ᐉ no KYC ᕗ Instant payouts on: June 11, 2023, 07:14:16 PM
I think many people did avoid this scam site thanks to Bitcointalk, but never posted about it since very few people would be willing to create an account here just to warn others.

Googling 1xbit scam displays Bitcointalk in the top-5 results which probably helped many such players.
1xbit has scammed a lot of gamblers in the past at that time gamblers used to complain less on this forum, but more and more gamblers were complaining against 1xbit so now a lot of gamblers are aware of 1xbit's scam and are keeping a safe distance from this website. This is a huge success for Bitcointalk, exposing a proven scam gambling website to the crypto community.
Well, yeah, the crypto community together with the gambling community here is superb, collective efforts from the top forum users as well every other regular users coming together in one accord is what have lead to the super success of  the sensitization against the use of 1xbit, this wouldnt have worked out if the community was divided, and those who did the greatest work are the DT members who always take their time to tag every account found promoting 1xbit by wearing their signature, this alone lead to the fast success of the campaign, as it discouraged many users from joining the promote the casino for the sole purpose of earning money.
When a proven scam ignores complaints from community members and comes up with a signature campaign instead of addressing the complaints, it is likely that they are prioritizing the scam. This arrogant nature of theirs has now resulted badly, they have stopped running signature campaigns. Because most of the members participating in their signature campaign were involved in some scam so their accounts were already tagged. The Bitcointalk community has been instrumental in establishing 1xbit as a scam everywhere.
654  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Scam targeting Metamask wallet user's on: June 11, 2023, 06:00:05 PM
Most of these criminals spreading fake alerts got our email on airdrops or any other platform turn scams we participate before. Right now we can see the effect if we are not careful on sending out emails everywhere since we might receive more emails like this. They target metamask users because they know that maybe some other users might bite the trap they set and to bad for a person if no verification will be done since most of them will be the favorite victim by these hackers or scammers.
When we share our contact information on a website, they sell that information to criminals, or hackers steal user information from those websites. Anything can happen to crypto users online with a little carelessness, so it's important to be vigilant to stay safe. Because scammers are constantly advancing and changing their data collection techniques. I have already exposed a trick of the scammers. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5448438.msg62074664#msg62074664

Email is just one way of scamming and that not end here. They uses lot of other sources to get users data. The most dangerous one is google promotion. when you search in google about Metamask (usually we search for installing Extension), the first page will be scam website which is complete phising site of original one. when you download the extension, they will ask for key. so we should be careful and should learn new way of hacking/scamming and then try our best for our fund safety
Scammers have done and still do a lot of scams using Google ads. Through the use of advertising, they bring fake websites to the top of search results that easily trap inexperienced crypto users. However, scammers use a different strategy by collecting emails, scammers use Google ads to promote phishing websites.
655  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Would you use a VPN on a casino, even if it is not allowed in their ToS? on: June 11, 2023, 12:32:07 PM
When a gambler knowingly takes the risk and knows that his account may be blocked, then the gambler has to rely entirely on luck. Many gamblers are actually forced to use a VPN because gambling websites are illegal in their country, which leaves the gambler with no other options and starts gambling out of fear of losing their account. And then some gambling websites capitalize on this weakness of the gamblers and make various excuses to freeze the winning funds of those gamblers.

For that, if the said gambling site really prohibits the use of VPN to access their platform, we can't call it as excuse anymore as why they freeze users account. I don't know the situation of those users who reside in a country where online gambling is illegal but I can't imagine they really putting themselves at risks since it's not just the policy and terms of the gambling site they are violating but also the law of their country. They will faced charges if caught.

We need someone here on these countries where online gambling is illegal to tell us how they deal with online gambling.

I become curious.
It is true that any gambling website can freeze their customers' funds for violating T&C using VPN. Offline gambling is also illegal in most countries where online gambling is illegal. I spent some time in a country where online gambling is illegal, and found that they are more interested in sports betting than casino gambling. Because they can do sports betting secretly among themselves, or through an agent, which does not come to the attention of the police.

Gamblers who live in the country where gambling is illegal, if they try to gamble, they have to face risks everywhere and many times they get arrested. And because of this risk of gamblers and the lack of access to gambling websites, the gambling agents in those countries earn huge amounts of money.
656  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin What is the probability of 60 K+ again? on: June 10, 2023, 07:03:10 PM
Don't worry Bitcoin will be back to $60k when we forget about it, because of that Whales love it and Fomo happened,
just like 2020 when Bitcoin crashed during the first pandemic announcement,
and because of Halving then Bitcoin really went against the grain of a bad market situation ,
so don't worry because we are close to the halving.
The market will always want you to shakeout which causes an unexpected panic in the market and small investors start panic selling their bitcoins. And just then the whales accumulate bitcoins and strengthen their position. 12 March 2020 was a nightmare day for crypto traders, many traders panic sold on that day and on the other hand whales started the next bull market from that day.

So here is to understand when to prepare to enter the market for those traders who do short term trading. However, the current market trend is down and the news of BinanceUs has made a huge impact on the market. Therefore, the market may give us another opportunity to prepare for the next bull market, for which it will be effective to prepare in advance.

Those who send these emails are cybercriminals, your email address may have been stolen from somewhere and they are now sending such fake emails. Metamask does not collect their users' email addresses, so scammers are sending these emails targeting crypto users.

Because they know that a large part of crypto users use metamask, and this random email can bring them the expected results. Therefore, crypto users should verify the source of the email before clicking on any link included in the email.
