WOW! absolutely incredible work! I was actually just starting to work on a python based version of this, however I couldnt have even dreamed of such a complete program! After finding this, I'm giving up my goal of creating a similar program and going to find a new project :p
10/10 On user-experience and 10/10 on design!

Its awesome how quickly WARP snagged the lead on safe-cex, but with how many people invested (plus the newcomers wanting a few WARP) Im surprised to see only 36 votes. I had never heard of safe-cex before this thread, but joined just to vote Smiley

Guys, I hope you all invested the btc you can afford to miss for a couple of months.
I have invested in many coins in the past, and I can tell you, this is a promising project.
Shapetwist is a legit and extremely dedicated dev....

You can sell now, but if you have the patience to hold for a few months, you can expect an easy X50-X100 ROI.

With kind regards

My thoughts exactly!! ~3k sats is nothing compared to the potential of this coin! (especially considering a neat feature sych as WARPOS!) However the offers give me lotsa hope for a good ROI in a few months Smiley Cool

Mine is still not stacking.......have received only one stake so far since I received IPO coins. Wallet is synced though.

"Not stacking because you don't have mature coins"  but I DO have mature coins.
correct me if im wrong here, But once you receive a staked block, the transaction that produced the block has its stake weight reset to 0 does it not? at which point, if you have only one transaction, you would have to wait the min stake age again.

edit
hopefully Im correct, because I bought a few small blocks on this principle lol (if not then my bad)

If anyone is willing to sell me warp. I will buy at a price of 3500 sats. Looking to purchase about 5000
It'll be interesting to see how quickly WARP start changing hands Wink Personally, Im holding mine!

@OP - Thank you for being the one to finally ask this question! Ive been wondering the same thing myself for quite awhile lol

@Snail2 - Thanks for your great explanation! I think I at least have a basic understanding of the term now. Is there possibly a link you could provide where I could possibly do more reading on the subject?

Perhaps the Ripple-consensus white paper is the best information source for this: https://ripple.com/consensus-whitepaper/
(but some of the other white papers can be useful too: https://ripple.com/whitepapers-reports/)
I think the IOTA white paper(s) also going to be interesting as it will implement an other blockchainless transaction processing approach.
Awesome thank you for the quick reply and the reading material Smiley

WARPCOIN 100%! but sadly, as crowdsale is now over.... supply has dried up untill it hits an exchange. Otherwise, POT, DASH, and just in case of a random pump 42

Just received my first small PoS... chain rollin along nicely for great start so it can only better from this point forward.
got 2 so far  Cool just wish I had more to stake! Anybody got any ideas on ideal transaction split for staking?
652  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: WARP - Something different - Crowdfunding Ended - 29.94BTC Raised on: January 28, 2016, 05:22:31 PM
decided to just check the code for min stake age lol
unsigned int nStakeMinAge = 8 * 60 * 60; // 10 hours
unsigned int nStakeMaxAge = 30 * 24 * 60 * 60;  // 30 days

which means staking age will be met at approx 5pm EST

edit
IMHO the longer we wait for an exchange the better! let's wait till theres some neat features finished.... then push to exchanges! THIS IS NOT A QUICK FLIP coin! IMO its a long-term investment. Those asking for exchanges within hours of getting their coins worry me a bit...

got all 4 of my crowdsale blocks!! woohoo! Now just waiting on the min stake age!!! I'm excited! I finally joined a GOOD coin at the beginning!! lol only took me 2 years to find one Wink

btw, cant seem to find the min stake age in the OP (although I did just wake up and may be blind lol)
654  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: WARP - Something different - Crowdfunding NOW OPEN on: January 27, 2016, 10:47:12 PM
When will the presale coins be distributed? Tomorrow as well?

Regards
Goldmaxx
Well, Its currently 11:48 CST. So as per the crowdsale conditions I would assume somewhere around 12 hours.
655  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: WARP - Something different - Crowdfunding NOW OPEN on: January 27, 2016, 06:24:44 PM
13.52 BTC so far and ~1200 sats! Things are looking good for warp! Can't wait to start staking!!
656  Economy / Investor-based games / Re: *Mining Mates* BTC Solo Lotto Group on: January 27, 2016, 03:02:25 AM
im really interested with this,
but i dont have 0.5btc for starting to invest with you..
maybe can be more lower? Grin is it really profitable? any chance to lose? hehe
Always a chance to lose. Specifically If the group doesn't find a block lol however these 'group rentals' seem to be the rage now and seem to be working out for all involved.... just make sure there is a multisig setup for the payout Wink
657  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Blocks found by hardware - solo.ckpool on: January 26, 2016, 11:42:48 PM
An s-7 .

And many via rentals on NH

Rentals are nice to hit the spot.I was too close to hit one .I rented around 750Th for 6 hours and got a best share of 60G when difficulty was around 72G i guess..

damn! 750TH/s! musta cost quite a bit for the rental!! even for only 6 hours
658  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: How to begin with becoming an escrow agent? on: January 26, 2016, 06:09:45 PM
OP also needs to start posting here https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=855778.0 to discuss his intentions and to introduce himself. (As well as signing wallets and other stuff)
The thread has no relation with being an honest escrow agent. He needs to be trusted enough and have some nice posting history on the forum in order to be in the eyes of the buyers & sellers as well, otherwise he is going to get neg-rep very soon.

why would i get neg rep for asking about a process? if you read above,

Quote
have not yet decided to put my name out AS an escrow, I was simply inquiring about the  process to becoming one. From the advice given, I will likely be putting time into simply making useful posts and maybe making a few exchanges through the forum here.... basicaly business as usuall.

Maybe in 6-12 months my presence here, aswell as my trust rating, might be high enough to attempt this mission. Untill then, Id like to thank everyone for their advice. Smiley Especially those who are or were escrow agents themselves.

I was simply asking the advice of those who have been here longer then I, before attempting something that could turn out badly if not approached in the right way. (such as the masterP incident) As stated above I will be putting this mission on hold and begin by building trust amongst the community, by simply trying to be a larger part of it.

Id like to thank all of those who commented with helpful advice, all of which I will be taking with me from this point forward in my 'crypto-career'
659  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: How to begin with becoming an escrow agent? on: January 26, 2016, 05:29:54 AM
Probably a good idea to start one of those threads where your friends post about you (never made one, but there is a section here for it). A good starting point that is needed is account escrows. There is a lack of escrows for them and most are low in value (good starting area and potential niche market for you). Expect to not get tipped much or even thanked often for your hard work though.
By this are you referring to account sales? If so isn't this generally a shady area for this forum? I feel if I became involved in the account sales occurring here it may tarnish my already limited reputation. (Plus being against my personal belief that accounts should stay with the OG owner).

As for the thread with 'friends' posting good things, I have two small issues with that:
1) My family and friends have been scared away from BTC long ago, falling victim to many of the scams associated with crypto. I am the 'lone wolf' left of my original group of friends. This makes it rather difficult to have 'friends' posting nice things, as none are remaining users on BCT.
2)This goes back to my issues with shadiness. Having multiple users post nice things could easily be interpreted as one user with multiple accounts.... and fraudulent trust (or the implication thereof) is not what I'm after here.

However I would like to thank you, and all of the other posters, for taking the time to respond to my thread and give advice on this subject. Smiley

I would absolutely love to! Which is exactly why I'm currently working on learning a few coding languages (and honing the skills of those I already know) So that I can work from home as a remote programmer of some sort Smiley  At which time a multiscreen pc setup allows me to code and watch my BTC/ALTS at the same time Wink
