641  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ether or altcoins? on: January 22, 2019, 01:03:59 PM
Hey guys what do you think? Is it better to hold ether or altcoins? I think alts are better because they can give you more profit, however it is quiet risky to hold them.
what's the difference between ethereum and altcoin? ethereum also includes altcoin. no one invests in crypto that has no risk, certainly all have risks. as a smart trader must be able to avoid these risks well. indeed holding back can be profitable but it can also be risky if the price doesn't improve. a merchant knows the right time to let him go and hold him back.
642  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Pump after dump? on: January 19, 2019, 01:02:30 PM
After the downfall before few days, BTC is pumping and it is good to see, similarly other Alts too following it. I believe we are slowly going forward to see a good value in couple of days.
yes, I also think so, this is a good start for the market's revival because it has progressed even though it's not significant but it's good. as a trader, you must always be optimistic about crypto developments in the future.
643  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum fork for short term profit? on: January 19, 2019, 12:35:01 PM
Disclaimer: I already own 15 or so different altcoins for long term hold, that won’t sell for several years.

I’m looking to purchase before the fork, investing maybe $1k, for a short term profit. Hoping the prices rises, I can sell before the dump. If there is the drop in price, these can also be held longer term until profitable.

Thoughts?
with the decrease that occurs in Ethereum at this time until its position is displaced by XRP from the best altcoin, that does not mean Ethereum will experience continuous difficulties. Ethereum is still the best altcoin at this time that has a large volume and a clear concept, only takes time to be able to fix and develop again. You can make a long-term investment for Ethereum.
644  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Should ICOs be regulated on: January 18, 2019, 01:13:38 PM
Considering the high level of scam associated with ICOs presently, many investors are at risk of loosing their investments. Bounty hunters like us are not spared as we may be rendering free services to some scammers and also risking our personal data.

I suppose a regulatory body be set up to audit the ICO process and the  founders, and if anything goes wrong or should the project fail, they will be liable. This will reduce drastically investors risk and also keep scammers away. What do you think?
I think it will be difficult to realize easily, because crypto is not too much noticed by the government even most countries reject crypto because it can threaten their currency.
645  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How can we protect ourselves from scam? on: January 18, 2019, 12:39:54 PM
The crypto world is so vast and they are interest from all continents of the world. Some investors / projects came with good intentions to make the world a better place while some to defraud investors and projects founder. Can we have a better way correct scam and lapses?
it's very difficult for us to avoid scams. because technology is now more sophisticated and able to be used well by fraudsters who want to make a profit. therefore all depends on each of us in determining which project is good to do. I usually analyze it first in their whitepaper before deciding to join it, because there are a lot of considerations for us to judge whether it is feasible for us to do.
646  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum is better than Bitcoin? on: January 17, 2019, 04:15:23 PM

~~~~~
Brian Kelly, the founder, and CEO of an investment firm focused on digital currencies BKCM LLC, believes that Ethereum will be a better investment than Bitcoin.
Brian Kelly, from his point of view, points out the following reasons:
👉1. Ethereum Futures Contracts
First, Kelly believes that Ethereal futures contracts or ETH Futures will soon be launched, as the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has officially decided that the Ether is not a security. This action has removed the biggest obstacle for Ethereum – The 2nd ranked coin in market capitalization to institutional investment.
However, what Kelly does not mention is that launching the Future Ethereum could more likely to pull down the price of this second-largest cryptocurrency rather than help it.
Since the launch of the Bitcoin futures contract, Bitcoin’s price has plummeted and many blamed the use of investment tools to manipulate the market for this decline.
👉2. Augur
Secondly, Kelly pointed out that the Augur platform was one of the main reasons for Ethereum's rapid growth when compared to Bitcoin.
As described by the analyst, " It’s a decentralized prediction market. What’s interesting about this [is that] this will probably be one of the biggest decentralized apps on top of Ethereum. If [augur] doesn’t slow the system down, that can generally be a positive for Ethereum."
👉3. Proof-of-Stake Protocol
Finally, Ethereum's upgrade from hardware mining to software mining will drive the continued growth of the cryptocurrency.
Ethereum creator - Vitalik Buterin, also recently explained that Ethereum's scalability improvements to the layer solutions will multiply one to another - improving the number of users that the system can handle, which increase the processing capacity of up to 1 million transactions per second.
However, this refers to the fact that Bitcoin and Ethereum are not fully competitive. Upgrading the Ethereum platform is likely to serve more of a rivalry between competitors like EOS, while Bitcoin will remain its top position in transferring and storing value.
 👉👉As a Rothscoin investor, what do you think?
Is it just that in terms of Ethereum can be said to be better than bitcoin? I don't think Bitcoin is still the best so far. it's still a plan, we'll just wait for what it will be in the future.
647  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Cardano will destroy Ethereum! on: January 17, 2019, 03:45:38 PM
This is a good article that explains why Cardano will surpass Ethereum!
https://bitcoinmagazine.com/articles/op-ed-evaluating-promise-cardano-has-ethereum-met-its-match/
yes I think so too Ethereum is currently experiencing a difficult time because it doesn't show significant development, even its position has been shifted by XRP as the best altcoin. if it continues to decline, it can happen.
648  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to choose a good project? on: January 17, 2019, 03:16:50 PM
Can you help me choose projects? Last year I met 15 scam projects. very depressed.
choosing a good project with the current market situation is indeed quite difficult, but you can start by reading the whitepaper of each project you will follow. there are lots of things you need to know and analyze, such as the direction of the project's goals, vision mission, work team and much more. so make it a habit to read and analyze before deciding to join in, don't just say someone else.
649  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is Crypto A Way To become Rich / Millionaire ? on: January 16, 2019, 03:51:10 PM
Today Want to  Ask , did Satoshi Created bitcoin to solve poverty  issues or he created this bitcoin so solve financial transaction problems !!
Is crypto  a get rich quick scheme as people are putting their  mindset into  it  ?
most people think that crypto is a shortcut to getting rich instantly. but it's a big mistake if you think so. because crypto is volatile where prices can change significantly over time without us noticing.
650  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to avoid ICO scam. on: January 16, 2019, 03:03:08 PM
Apparently, ICO investors continue to fall prey to innumerable ICO scam. The effect of this is very devastating on investors perception of crypto-project ICOs.
While it appears there is no apparent solution to address the current scam associated with ICO in the crypto space. I propose that we help each other in finding out the best ways to identify and separate genuine ICO from fake ones....
Share your view and help a friend from falling prey to ICO scam. Let help build a healthy crypto environment. Fight the scam now.
it is difficult to distinguish the original ICO from a scam, but there are several ways to sense it, make it a habit to read their whitepaper before deciding to invest in it, there are many things that we can explore including the direction of the project's goal or not and the team works well or not .
651  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to avoid Dump after listing on: January 15, 2019, 06:45:53 PM
At the time of the listing after the end of ICO, the price often dumps. Why does it happen?
I think the reason is there is no buyer because of no demand for tokens since the ecosystem is not completed after the ICO.
It may be difficult because lack of funds, but I think the team should release a product like Dapps while running ICO to make token demand.
How do you think about it?
yes, it is likely that the lack of funds or investors coming in and market influence can also be made, so now most of the new altcoins that enter the market experience a significant decline.
652  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: There are too many new Token, new project on: January 15, 2019, 06:00:25 PM
yes there are many new tokens and new projects, but that does not guarantee if you join in incorrectly because now many projects are deceptive, so my advice is to be more careful in choosing projects to be implemented.
653  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: HODL for only the brave !? on: January 15, 2019, 05:39:28 PM
HODL for only the brave  Huh
What do my friends say, I think our hopes will be rewarded! Wink
withholding the need for patience is quite high especially in the current market conditions that still have not addressed a significant development. holding back is a good technique for trading, so there's no need to rush to sell it immediately.
654  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I have learnt my lessons on: January 14, 2019, 03:41:02 PM
It is never a good thing to sell hastily.
It is never a good thing to sell below ICO price.
It is not also good to sell at exactly the ICO price.
There were times sold when i was not supposed to sell. Just because of the excitement of receiving tokens through bounty participation and perhaps through airdrop, i was eager to cash out.
Most of the times i did this, i always found out that i later ran at loss, not considering my effort and the time spent in promoting such project.
I could have also had 2x and sometimes 10x the ICO price, but impatience made me to loose the opportunity.
My last experience was on a token i received. Mentioning the name will be of no use, but for crypto enthusiasts to also learn from my mistake. Ever since then, i have learnt to hold and this has been profitable to me.
No matter how you got your token or coin, always try and be patient enough to hold until you are in profit.
good work, traders like you really have to be reproduced here. what you say is true as a trader must have high knowledge and more experience to be successful with crypto. I'm sure hard work won't betray results. I hope you succeed in the future.
655  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Lots of Scammers Here on: January 14, 2019, 03:14:51 PM
The best advice to anyone considering investing in any ICO or project is to think carefully before parting with your money
I have enough PMs from all sorts of alleged coders who can create the best of the best but all of them have been scammers trying to take money, many asking 25% in advance without any real contract and with no recourse or protection for the investor.
One of the biggest flops was valduz10 purporting to be a coder who will make an exchange for $5000. He offered nothing in contracts and wanted the 0.25 BTC immediately to make a demo site which he would show after 3 weeks. In the final part of the "project" he wanted several thousands to go to CPC and CPM sites that he claimed to have coded which would advertise banners and had some google-dream up his sleeve too. Upon realising his scam was outed, he resorted to name calling like "boyo" and "wierdo".
Another was AikFrank, a Nigerian who wanted 5 BTC to make a Visa card associated with bitcoin wallets which he claim he coded from scratch. He insisted on chatting in a private Tawk.to box rather than leave evidence here in PMs. He claimed he was going to get free hosting but asked for money because he was working on the project full time for 4 weeks. I advised him to change the free adminLTE dashboard and show me a tangible product but then the truth unfolded. He now claims he sold the "company" to a UK company. Upon rumbling his scam he resorted to name calling such as "ghost" and "time waster" both ironically could be applied to himself  Smiley   https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1931218.0
There are more but the moral of the story is... Too many scammers here. Some must be making a tidy sum every month by ripping people off, like a salary without actually having a job but happy bringing pain to investors.
therefore we must be careful in determining the projects we will work on later. indeed, with the current market situation there are many ways fraudsters launch their actions to obtain mere profits without caring for others. be a smart hunter in setting goals.
656  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Listing on exchanges has no effects anymore on: January 14, 2019, 02:41:09 PM
Time has pass when news or listing pumps price of a coin,it isnt 2013 or even the same climate as 2017. Newer projects are building some serious patforms that take time. News  cant just make a coin pump anymore, neither do exchange listings. Look at coins like Tron etc. being added to a new excahnge everyday. doesnt do anything. Its about results. No point in launching news in crypto environment, Hopefully you guys will join good projects with better future results....2019 is the year
indeed the current situation is arguably very difficult to accept because the market does not show up as significant as expected before, but this is a fluctuating crypto where prices can change at any time significantly from time to time without us knowing it. if you are a trader, you must be confident and confident that what you have invested will pay off later.
657  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Supporting new projects can lead to a better future. on: January 12, 2019, 05:30:28 PM
yes it should be, we must support a new project that will change the crypto future better. but sometimes now many new projects are deceiving, so you must be careful when choosing a new project.
658  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you buy not top 100 alts? on: January 12, 2019, 05:11:39 PM
Hey guys, do you buy altcoins which are not top 100 of Coinmarketcap? Isn’t it risky to invest in them? Want to hear your opinion!
not necessarily the altcoins that are not included in the top 100 altcoins are at risk. lots of altcoins are not top 100 but have good prices on the market. if we choose the right altcoin, the benefits will be more.
659  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Will the crypto still be in 2050? on: January 12, 2019, 04:48:14 PM
I still imagine, how is crypto in 2050? is the usecas clear? is there still a new ICO project that appears, or is it even crypto dead? if in the year 2050 the crypto is still there, then the age of the crypto has been more than 40 years, and this is not a long time, and if you see age, crypto should have been much more developed than now.
what do you think about crypto in 2050?
the future is indeed difficult to predict correctly. if you look at prices in the market today you have not addressed a significant development. let alone 2050, being able to survive in 2025 alone is good if seen at the current market price.
660  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: CRYPTO MARKET SITUATION. on: January 11, 2019, 03:46:45 PM
Looking at the red market situation, what did you do and plan at the beginning of Q1 2019? Are you still sure the arrival of the Bull run? If so, you have the same expectations as me now. Hopefully the situation will change soon. Do not give up  Cool!! Thank you very much.
everyone would hope that way, so would I, because I was tired of seeing a market that was still red. That expectation must be there because as a trader, you must always be optimistic and confident about the future of crypto.
