6481  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Are campaigs only the major source for earning BTC ? on: January 23, 2017, 04:19:16 PM
Signature campaigns cannot be considered as the major source for earning BTC because they are not jobs, but rewards.
You should understand that joining them still does not guarantee that you will get paid unless you fulfill their requirements, with that said, they should be done as a way of contribution and should not be made just to earn some coins.
Is this your definition of a job? That you need to have a guaranteed payment or it's not a job? What if someone pays me to post but doesn't guarantee I'll get paid? Is it still a reward or a job?
When you hire someone to clean your house and he does it wrong you won't pay him. Does it mean he worked for a reward?
6482  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Is taxation theft? on: January 23, 2017, 04:10:23 PM
ofc it is. how do you think our governments otherwise could run all those wars without our support.
Wars are paid for by the Jews. Same Jews that forged documents about Saddam and his nuclear weapons and destroyed WTC.
6483  Economy / Reputation / Re: QTUM Censoring posts in self moderated ANN thread. on: January 23, 2017, 04:00:53 PM
Why are you still wearing their signature if you think they're shady?

I've read their campaign thread and found a couple fun facts for you.
1. They allow shit posters. Some people write 1 liners although in most campaigns it's not allowed. Some of them are warned in the google sheet but remain in the campaign and will most likely get paid.
The campaign makes it look like it doesn't tolerate spam and only posts that are on topic. It even limits the amount of daily posts but it still pays for off topic posts written in broken English.
2. Someone got kicked from the campaign after a couple days of posting because of  negative trust, but I see him with neutral trust. He only has a red "untrusted feedback" which is something any of us can receive at any time. Since there are still many people with untrusted feedback in the campaign the easiest explanation is that the manager needed to free a spot for someone else.

6485  Other / Politics & Society / Re: I just read an awesome book about evolution on: January 23, 2017, 04:28:02 AM
Another definition of evolution.

When are people going to realize that there isn't any evolution in the original sense of the word. The only way proponents of evolution are able to make evolution exist, is to change the meaning into some other meaning of something that DOES exist. Of course, that doesn't make the original meaning to be something that exists. It only shows that evolutionists don't like giving up on their religion.

Cool

I could say the same thing about gods. They are only a representation of human fantasies, but believers also don't like giving up, as it might show they were wrong most of their lives and wasted so much time and money worshiping something that not only does not give a shit but doesn't exist.

It IS A FACT, no shit of the gods has ever been found.

The difference is the evidence and scientific proof of the one real God:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1054513.msg16803380#msg16803380.

The evidence and proof don't say much about Him. But they not only show that He exists, but also that He is God Almighty way beyond imagination or anything mankind can do or think.

The same science that tries to make us believe that Evolution theory is fact (actually, it is some scientists, universities, and media), is the science that uses solid science law to prove that God exists.

Cool

I've just read part of your essay and came to a conclusion that you're a lunatic.
Quote
The vast majority of people recognize the greatness of the universe, naturally. They recognize that Something very great must have caused the universe and nature to come into existence. They know it is not themselves, because try as they might, they can't affect nature except in extremely limited ways. They can't stop themselves from aging and dying.
People recognize that as they can think, there must be Something that can think far beyond what they can. This is instinctive, natural knowledge. That is part of the reason that people throughout the world look for God. That's part of the reason that there are religions. People know in their hearts, inner minds, and spirits that God must exist.
Usually it is the frustration of certain people in being unable to determine much of anything about God, that they simply throw in the towel, so to speak, and give up on the idea of God. Way down deep in their hearts they know that God exists. But because of circumstances and their inability to find Him, they attempt to entirely push Him out of their lives. And many of them succeed to a great extent.

According to you god exists because people deny his existence and you somehow know that deep inside they know that he is real  Grin
Nations look for an explanation = god exists  Grin
People denby his existence = he exists  Grin
The majority can't be wrong! = he exists  Grin
6486  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Mistakes in trading that lead to loss of money on: January 23, 2017, 04:15:24 AM
My biggest mistake would be not investing enough in winners in some cases.  Many opportunities in the past to really capitalize on gains but fall short or real profit because of a lack of commitments.  It's a trend you see on the markets all the time and usually leads to sudden large volume trading and the eventual crash when that cold lick of uncertainty starts to creep back into the collective mind.
Opportunities that pass by don't equal loss of money. It's like walking past somebody without talking and this person could later become your friend and even save your life. You never know, so you shouldn't worry about the things you have no control over.
6487  Economy / Reputation / Re: QTUM Censoring posts in self moderated ANN thread. on: January 23, 2017, 04:00:22 AM
Any campaign would be lucky to have me on board, so it's QTUM's loss, not mine.
You're so modest.

He could have deleted it without asking you to do it, because his topic is self moderated. He asked you, you refused, he deleted it, you called his campaign shady and scammy. Roll Eyes
6488  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Bitcoins and islands on: January 23, 2017, 03:52:04 AM
it can be possible. bitcoin can always be make official by any locals where they just use it for buying and sellings goods. bitcoin is more accessible so it is not theoretically impossible if one island makes it as their official fiat, and bitcoin is not easy to buy. you can convert your fiat into bitcoin easily. so making bitcoin as a official currency is not impossible.
Yes, it is possible, but requires a lot of effort and support from community.

Would you be willing to pay in Bitcoin to live in that country? Would you have enough Bitcoin to do it? If not then maybe other people are thinking like you and the idea will remain just an idea.

6490  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How does PoS start? on: January 21, 2017, 08:53:19 PM
Hey guys, I have been looking into altcoin. All of the PoS coins here are premined, so I can't really find out the answer to my question.

PoS requires no mining AFAIK, so how is the first block generated, since no one owns any coins (since none have been created), how do you stake the first block?

Basically, how is the genesis block of a PoS coin created?
just my knowledge, im not master in blockchain, POW, POS, POK etc.
in POS coin the owner will be mining first block, then his premined coin will be sell in ICO (or hardfork from other coin) then all owner of that coin can mining use POS system.
in other case, the coin can be mining and have interest rate (POS) too.

I think PoS coins are not meant for mining in terms traditional mining. They get staking in the wallet once the wallet is online and you get daily staking rewards. In this way PoS or staking coins work and they dont require big hardware for staking unlike mining coins which need high specs machines to mine the blocks.
That does make them more prone to manipulation, right? What if an owner of the coin manipulates the stacking for himself, so that he has multiple wallets?
There's no hardware limit so how is the number of stacking wallets limited? Can someone run 100 wallets at once?
6491  Other / Off-topic / Re: password master on: January 21, 2017, 08:47:24 PM
Lastpass is good enough to keep your password safe. But I don't think anyone should use it to keep their wallet passwords. You never know what would happen.
That's what i'm using. A very good and reliable password manager that uses encryption.
6492  Other / Meta / Re: This is for the Mod that have deleted my last post on: January 21, 2017, 03:32:14 AM
You wanted to sell a newbie account? These aren't worth much, are they?
Do you think mods will do anything if you start raging here?
6493  Other / Off-topic / Re: Progress of Artificial Intelligence on: January 21, 2017, 03:27:53 AM
Most advancement in AI comes from hardware and transistor density increasing over time (moore's law).

Very little comes from progress made in software.

I would guess decades will pass before AI reaches a level near human consciousness.

 Smiley

Interesting I always thought that AI was an advanced form of software that's super complex. I had no idea that CPU power had anything to do with it's learning and decision making abilities other than taking longer on slower CPUs.
If you write a super complex software, the "brain" will still be limited by its ability to process it. The more complex the program the more time it will take to compile an answer.
Also, the software will only allow it to create an answer based on the directions the programmer has thought of. Meaning that if you ask it a question it will answer it, but it won't be able to formulate its own questions, ones that the programmer hasn't thought of. It won't be curious and it won't understand what it is and try to improve.
6494  Other / Politics & Society / Re: No Pardon for Ross Ulbricht on: January 21, 2017, 03:22:40 AM
Well Ross made a crime and he should suffer in jail. Its not the presidents of America why he is in jail, it is his own actions that led him to be placed in jail. If he did not make any illegal and illicit activities then he would be in jail in the first place. Also maybe the reason why he was not given a presidential pardon was he did not play as a good man in the penitentiary.
It's not about him being a good boy or not. When you are sentenced for life you can be the nicest inmate in the world and it won't matter.
IMO his sentence should be reduced. Yes, he did something illegal, but he hasn't killed anyone, he just created a market site. Killers and rapists are usually sentenced for 5-10 years. I've seen pedophile murderers, who raped and killed a child, sentenced only to 25 years, and this guy gets life? This has nothing to do with justice.
If he was arrested in the middle East or Asia, it would be all executed. I am against the drug trade. He was arrested on charges proved and therefore, I do not mind it. And stick up for him addicts. Let him go to it!
Fortunately we do not live in the barbaric middle east, but if we're talking about that part of the world I heard the Afghans are particularly fond of their opium. If Ross were to live there there would be no "drug charges."
6495  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is there any possibility of a decrease in demand for Bitcoin? on: January 21, 2017, 03:15:11 AM
I believe that bitcoin demand won't decrease soon or later if users understand the real potential of bitcoin. Just based upon the fluctuations and the unpredictable nature of bitcoin people say that it's demand decrease.
I think so as well. We have a limited supply so the demand may decrease a bit but it will still remain high. The only thing that could really decrease the demand would be a new, better cryptocurrency that would somehow make people drop BTC to buy it.
6496  Other / Off-topic / Re: which VPN should i Use on: January 20, 2017, 05:05:45 AM
First of all never use a free vpn because they sell your data to spy agencies. Now for GTA 5 in china you should use vypr vpn or express vpn. you can also find more vpns for gaming here: http://vpngrades.com/5-best-vpns-gaming/
I don't think government agencies will be much interested in his GTA5 skills Grin
6497  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What should be done for Bitcoin wallet security? on: January 20, 2017, 05:02:47 AM
Wallets are as secure as your computer. Nobody can simply hack into your wallet without hacking your pc first. Don't install crap, don't visit porn sites and don't click every link you see and you'll be fine. And one more thing, install a good AV.
6498  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Negative effects of technology on: January 20, 2017, 04:58:15 AM
There's a lot of negative effects of technology nevertheless, there is a lot of positive effects. Comparing drugs and technology, as we can see, drugs can make you stronger and relieve some pain on your body, but also, if drugs abusively used, it can damage your mind and brain, it can lead you to overdose or sometimes death, like our technology, ipads, iphones, computers, and other technology used, when a child always use ipads, it can lead to blindness, and sometimes can be addiction.
But what are those negative effects? Abusing the technology is not a negative effect. One can abuse every single substance in the world. Think about it, you can use fuel to run your car, but you can also use it to start a fire and burn down a building.
6499  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What if your wallet provider goes under? on: January 19, 2017, 03:56:50 AM
I have used multibit, electrum and qt.
I must have misunderstood, I thought "wallet provider" as in Coinbase/Xapo/Blockchain.info (web wallets), which, as my poll revealed, many bitcoiners use.

You're reading too fast  Grin He is talking about his desktop wallet.

After exploring different storage methods, I have decided on a MultibitHD wallet saved offline on a flash drive (with a backup copy in a safe deposit box). Although I created the wallet offline, I know that I must be online to actually use it and receive Bitcoin, so I'm assuming that it isn't a "true" cold storage method and that it does to some degree require an online account.

The wallet was created offline with a secure password, so I'm not exactly worried about theft. My concern is, though, what if Multibit (the company/website" closes or goes under? Will my finds be lost or will they still be retrievable from the wallet files on my flash drives? I know the wallet will still exist on the flash drive, but without a profile to connect to through the website, what happens then?

Thanks!
