6521  Economy / Reputation / Re: Cabalism13's Reputation Thread on: April 04, 2019, 08:36:54 PM
Talking about your charity project, it's nice initative by you, but I think it's nothing strange that not many people donated so far. It's because that you're still quite new here or not trusted enough. People posted possible reasons why there was not many donations there:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5124864.0 I think that if old forum member with lot of positive trust ratings would start similar charity project, I doubt that he would get much more attention.
You said that you want to build your reputation here, so I have one suggestion. Don't rush too much with this thing, better do everything slowly, step by step to avoid mistakes. I can give one example - maybe you know mdayonliner, he was very ambitious and tried to buid his reputation in very short time. He made some big mistakes and ended with red trust ratings.
@cabalism13, good luck!
6522  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: It's smerit(sendable merit) not kmerit(keepable merit) on: April 03, 2019, 09:19:44 PM
Forum users have right to keep their sMerits. There are no point to do that, but you simply can't force users to spend their sMerits.
And it's not only problem of low ranked members. There are thousands of higher ranked members who haven't even spent any of their airdropped sMerits, despite that more than a year passed since release of Merit system. And then people are complaining that's difficult to get erit, merit sources aren't giving out enough merits and etc.
As a high ranked member, I also blame myself for not giving out enough sMerits. Sometimes I just too lazy to do that, I know, it's bad. Now I have more than enough sMerits available, I should spend it more actively...
6523  Other / Meta / Re: Does anyone here make a living off the forums? on: April 03, 2019, 08:54:39 PM
No, I don't make living off the forum and I'm not planning to do that. I think it would be stupid and even risky. What if campaign will scam you? What if you lose your Bitcointalk account? What if there simply will be no empty spot in campaign for you? There are too many risks. Offcourse, you're providing services here, it's normal to earn for a living here. But it's not easy. For example, we have lot of signature campaign managers and limited number of campaign. Simply it can be not enough job for you.
When Bitcoin was at $15 000 - $20 000, I was able to get from sig campaign more than I get from my main full time job. Now I just earn some extra cash from it. And I withdraw only smart part of my earnings. If I would withdraw more, I would have to fill all these tax declarations. When it comes to crypto, it's complicated thing in my country. There are simply too much hassle. I just hold biggest part of my earnings, some BTC I use for investments and for spending online sometimes.
6524  Other / Meta / Re: What was your feeling about KYC verification? Share your honest review. on: April 03, 2019, 08:24:51 PM
Honestly, I didn't believed even for a second. In previous years I didn't realized instantly that was jokes, because I just forgot about April 1st. This year there was discussion in Meta about possible April 1st pranks, so it was difficult to forget about that day. In the morning of April 1st, first thing what I did - I went to Meta to check prank of this year. When I saw words KYC, I immediately remembered famous theymos words about KYC and hell. So, this time theymos didn't fooled me Cheesy
For most of users here KYC on forum looks ridiculous. But actually, I know one forum in my country which requires KYC verification if you want to enter marketplace and buy/sell stuff there. And everyone accept KYC as normal and needed thing. Offcourse, this forum isn't about crypto where privacy is valued so much.
6525  Other / Meta / Re: KYC now required on: April 03, 2019, 07:55:20 PM
Thank you theymos for another great April Fools Day. This time I didn't believed even for a second, first thing what I did in morning of April 1st - I went to Meta to check what did you did this time. Hell froze over just for a one day Cheesy
It's interesting how cheaters who are abusing bounties and doing other shady things with multiple accounts reacted to a KYC thing Cheesy
6526  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: April 03, 2019, 07:47:23 PM
Real’s big summer signing will be Hazard I think. It’s all going to be set up for him to become Real’s marquee signing, he has a good relationship with Zidane.
I read rumours that former Real sports director Jorge Valdano returns to the club. It's strange because when he left, he didn't had best relationships with Perez. Hazard probably will be one of the main targets of him. Also, Bale probably will be sold because Valdano said a lot of criticism about him.
6527  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2016/17 on: April 03, 2019, 07:29:43 PM
Another crazy match in La Liga - Athletic 3:2 Levante. Athletic were leading 2:0, but in second half they parked a bus. Levante scored in start of second half and they they equalized score on 90th minute. And then, on 93th penalty was given. Muniain scored and made result 3:2 for Atheltic. Very important win for Athletic in fight for Europa league spots. Just few months back this team was in relegation zone, it's impressive how they improved under management of Garitano.
Valencia - Real Madrid match starts now, it should be interesting.
6528  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Worst case if I submit my passport to an exchange? on: April 02, 2019, 10:18:47 PM
Identity theft is a big risk indeed. I wouldn't say that KYC verification is extremely dangerous thing if you're using reputed exchange. Offcourse, there is a risk that exchange may be hacked and hackers will steal personal data of users. They may even publish these things in public or sell it on marketplaces As @LeGaulois said, someone may use your documents to take a loan, do money laundering or another shady thing.
But question, is it likely to happen? I don't think so, risk is minimal and you don't to worry so much.
6529  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2016/17 on: April 02, 2019, 09:26:29 PM
What a game Villarreal 4:4 Barcelona! Villarreal were loosing 0:2 and then scored 4 goals in a row. What I can say, Villarreal today deserved to win, they were more motivated and passionate. Barcelona had poor performance and players minds probably was already in upcoming crucial games. But then Messi was a game-changer like always, another great free-kick goal by him! And then - crazy goal by Suarez in last seconds! I have no words! Despite that I support Barca, I feel sad for Villarreal tonight.
And now even if Atletico will win against Barca, their chance to win title looks impossible.
6530  Economy / Reputation / Re: [Upgrade!] So.... on which board did you earn (or spent) most of your (s)Merit? on: April 02, 2019, 06:54:16 PM
I also would like to see where I spent most of my sMerits. Thanks in advance.
6531  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA EURO 2020 Discussion Thread | Current Phase: Qualifying on: April 02, 2019, 06:49:35 PM
I agree with this. But they should organize qualifications for these tournaments in some other way. This way there is too many matches with clear favorites. I liked the format of Nations league where they group the teams by their strength. That way we have greater amount of excellent matches.

That would go against the spirit of the games. Weak teams like Monaco and San Marino are given a chance to compete against sides such as Germany and France once every two years (for WCQ as well as for the EUCQ). These matches mean a lot for these teams. And upsets are not that rare during these qualification matches... I still remember the Cyprus vs Portugal match in 2010 (4-4).
Monaco? LOL, they don't even have national team Cheesy. But yeah, I agree with your point. For small countries it's chance to see biggest stars of football, earn from tickets, TV rights and etc. But it's obvious that such games are boring for neutral spectators. Maybe Nations League format is more interesting because same level teams playing against each others, but I don't think that changes in qualification system should be made.
6532  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2016/17 on: April 02, 2019, 06:41:05 PM
Barcelona vs Villarreal today. This match is going to an interesting one for sure.Although Barcelona is on really good form but I think it wont be easy for Barcelona to handle villarreal. The key player is Messi, I think he'll again score today.

Atletico is playing now against Girona. 36 minutes have been passed It's 0-0 now.I think soon Atletico will score and seal the match.
Messi will start this game on the bench. Probably Valverde want to rest him before upcoming matches against Atletico and MU. But probably we will see him in second half if Barca will struggle without him.
About Atletico match, so far it's boring to watch. I expect that Atleti are going to win this game with their typical 1:0 result.
6533  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: Are faucets a profitable business? on: April 01, 2019, 10:19:31 PM
Are you asking from faucet owner perspective? If yes, I think that this question don't have straight answer. Some faucets are really profitable. But it's very difficult to build profitable faucet nowadays. Many of faucets are closing down just after few days or weeks in business because owners failed to achieve profit. Being faucet owner requires lot of job - endless fight with bots, maintaing ads, their positions and etc to achieve best results. And after everything many of them get only peanuts as profit. Biggest part of earnings goes to refill faucet ballance, pay for hosting and similar expenses.
what a kidding question please lok on faucets like moonbitcoin or freebitcoin or even cointiply is totaly new and they show you that its more than profitable Cheesy
And many new projects like mininggame and Bits-Pays also show how easy to earn with such websites.
you only need knowledge Cheesy

regaqrds
Well, but Moonbitcoin and Freebitco.in are in business for long years already. But how much money they spend to build everything, how much effort this work required. It's not worth to compare them with basic faucets
6534  Other / Meta / Re: Fake team Bitcointalk forum. on: April 01, 2019, 09:58:14 PM
OP, you forgot to upload Archived link. When you start scam accusatiin this thing in neccessary because abusers may try to hide traces.
You seem to be under the impression that theymos is the guy on the picture. You're mistaken, theymos is the bottle. The picture is real!
Did you just called theymos bottle? I think it's offence! Thermos is thermos, not a bottle Cheesy
6535  Other / Meta / Re: Let's Keep a Record what Theymos did in April Fools' Day 2019 on: April 01, 2019, 08:35:57 PM
I'm ✅ Verified LOUD. I regreat that I haven't saved jokes from previous years like coin badges under our names or new rank requirements - it would be fun to remember Cheesy. It's strange that nobody still haven't made historic list of Bitcointalk April Fools Day pranks Cheesy
@LoyceV, you're not verified human anymore. I think we can say that "Verified crazy stastician" = verified AI of Bitcointalk Cheesy
6536  Other / Meta / Re: Real selfies in the KYC thread. on: April 01, 2019, 08:25:35 PM
I don't surprised at all that there was so many people who posted real their selfies. Most of them are new members who maybe don't know about April fools day pranks here and theymos stand towards KYC. But what is really strange to see many higher ranked users (Full, or Sr. Members, usually with 0 earned Merits) posting their selfies.
About these who uploaded photos of ID cards/passports with all details visible. You must be really dumb to do that. Posting their sensitive date public in forum's thread - sounds like a "great" idea. And it's not about being not aware about April fools day or having bad English skills to understand context. They are just dumb. And the we are surprised that people are falling into obvious scams...
6537  Economy / Gambling / Re: FreeBitco.in - Contest with $30,000 in GUARANTEED PRIZES now live! on: April 01, 2019, 08:10:15 PM
i would love to see a feature where we can send payments to freebitcoin users without fees.
be course you need only to pull over black number no need for a real bitcoin transaction.
I just found out that i often sending bitcoin to freebitcoin addresses .....
This feature would be great !

regards
I'm not sure, but I think that such thing like off-chain transactions between users was planned few years ago. I might be wrong, maybe I confused it with Faucethub.
Anyway, I don't think it's needed currently because transaction fees are really low for a long time already. Using of SegWit addresses also helps.
6538  Other / Meta / Re: Wall of fame / shame. Shit posts so bad that they are actually funny on: April 01, 2019, 08:04:05 PM
Is this a reason why so many posts by posters seem very stupid?
Difficult question. Maybe because that posters are stupid?
6539  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2016/17 on: April 01, 2019, 07:56:50 PM
Anyways, there seems to be some 'controversy' surrounding Barcelona and Messi. Last saturday, Messi scored a free kick goal against Espanyol, everyone seems to agree that Messi scored the goal...Except for Marca, the newspaper that delivers the trophy to the top goalscorer in La Liga at the end of the season, they believe it was an own goal because Víctor Sánchez tried to clear the ball, he actually touched the ball but it went in anyways.
I support Barcelona, but I think it was own goal lol Cheesy. But actually it's not first time when Marca had stolen goal from Messi, it already happened few years ago:
https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.givemesport.com/1442092-marca-claim-lionel-messi-has-only-scored-399-la-liga-goals-not-400%3famp
Anyway, does it really matters? No doubt that Messi will be top scorer of La Liga this season, one goal doesn't change anything
