No.

While they may look like the are running for a good length
of time the plug can be pulled at any time and noobe only
the people behind the site has control of that.

The rewards look to be fantastic but stand back and have
a look, they are unsustainable.
6522  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Best Currencies to Look At this moment on: November 23, 2017, 07:13:21 AM
the best currencies to look at right now are really in the
Top 20 on coinmarketcap. Currencies like bitcoin [obviously]
litecoin, dash, monero, zcash.

There is an argument whether ripple and ethereum are good
because they are centralised currencies. If you look hee on
the forum there are many threads about these.

There are some new and recent currencies to look at like
truckcoin ! omg, neo, tenx, waves etc.

You will have to do your research here on the forum to make
your own mind up.
6523  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Bitcoin Gold, Hold o sell them? on: November 22, 2017, 10:44:07 PM
I personally decided to hold it for long. As we see and learn from bitcoin cash holding bitcoin forks is good idea as you can never know if its going to be pumped. You can see it right after pump.

this is my theory also, hold them for medium term as anything could
happen just like Bitcoin Cash. I was one who was really thinking
Bitcoin Cash was going to fail and I have been proven wrong . . . . .

so far  Huh
6524  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Telegram Group for Buyers/Sellers of Crypto on: November 22, 2017, 03:40:37 PM
Good idea I suppose.
Do people realise there is a Child Board in the Economics section
of the forum for exchanging, buying and selling currency,

here is the link > https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=53.0

and for protection of all parties you can use ESCROW
6525  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [ICO] TRUCKCOIN: For the fastest decentralized global market on: November 22, 2017, 02:15:52 PM
I feel the need for a re-post of the initial post in this thread,
i suspect people are tuning in and not reading the introduction
and what TRUCKCOIN is proposing.

Introducing TRUCKCOIN ICO

TRUCKCOIN is Powered by GoldenHill International

GoldenHill International want to increase the adoption of cryptocurrencies by specifically encouraging improving the speed of payment processing.

UPDATE!! Truckcoin Pre-ICO sold out in a day. Now headed to ICO running through from 1st-31st December 2017. Make sure you get in early to avoid missing out AGAIN!!!

What is TRUCKCOIN?

TRUCKCOIN is a digital currency developed by GoldenHill International Limited. GoldenHill is a reputable organization with around a decade of experience in the creation of real-world blockchain development. The intended aim is to make TRUCKCOIN the foundation for commercial transactions on the internet. GoldenHill International did this by finding innovative solutions to the problems highlighted. First was the deviation from the popular proof-of-stake architecture that most altcoins use. Instead, the proof-of-work architecture is used to ensure that the value grows more efficiently. TRUCKCOIN has better payment processing and confidentiality than other altcoins in the market.

TRUCKCOIN is not just a digital currency. It’s a community’s lifestyle, backbone and commercial foundation for the internet. Decentralized digital currency is slowly becoming a normal part of everyday life. Yet people’s main internet device continues to be their mobile, a device with a low-powered CPU and limited available storage.TRUCKCOIN is about enabling this era, enabling an age where all people everywhere have the freedom to privately send and receive money with whatever gadget they already own. With TRUCKCOIN you are your own bank.

There is only you can control and be responsible for your funds. Your accounts and transaction are out of reach to any prying eyes. TRUCKCOIN uses peer-to-peer technology to operate with no central authority or banks; managing transactions and the issuing of bitcoins is carried out collectively by the internet network.

TRUCKCOIN additional benefits

TRUCKCOIN provides additional benefits like cryptocurrency mining that is not based on the stake that a miner has. This provides two distinct methods of earning revenue. You can mine TRUCKCOIN, Bitcoin, Ethereum and other F2Pool currencies.

TRUCKCOIN allows smart autoboot trading. This will give the company and those who participate in the platform an opportunity to make money. The strategy works on volume and quality of the trades unlike manual trading that relies mainly on intuition. The bot can make hundreds of trades each day with marginal profits that cumulatively make lumpsum earnings.

ICO

The total supply of TRUCKCOINS will be limited to 18.4 million coins. Only 40 percent of this will be offered in the first ICO slated in the Winter of 2017. The rest of the coins will be released for public mining because the proof of work system relies on miners CPU-GPU processing power to ensure that the blocks of transactions are synchronised in the network.

6526  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Is Ripple's Rally Over? XRP Price Runs Into Roadblock on: November 22, 2017, 12:38:21 PM
I was surprised recently to see Ripple rising, I had a couple of thousand
about 6 months ago and sold it all and was tempted to buy again but
no i'm not going to.

what do people want from Ripple? because whatever it is its not going to
happen, the supply is controlled and therefore the price will always be
restricted.

The only thing that attracts people to buy into in it is the price of $0.20
approx. and in order to make gains you have to buy a lot!
6527  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: What about the different types of wallets? on: November 22, 2017, 11:10:00 AM
I would suggest also a dedicated crypto wallet. we dont need the
facility to be able to send a message from the wallet. leave a
messenger app for messages and keep a crypto wallet for storing
crypto currency.
6528  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Gold (BTG) on: November 22, 2017, 09:03:00 AM
Many users that use BTG start now to sell them money (because price down fast)
Most people will not sell their Bitcoin Gold if they can't arbitrage the markets. Only a few people will sell their coins for personal gains.

well its a free money if we already knew what will happen to btc cash would you think that people will sell it? just another opportunity that we
shouldn't missed though its really a risk to take but if you can hold for much longer time and wait for the pumpers to  do their job for sure you
will earned much bigger, bitcoin gold was introduce almost same amount of bitcoin inside trex i'm not sure who take that ride and enjoy a big
value of their free money.
Well i will also be holding my BTG. they are free tokens
so there is nothing to loose really.

Looking at BCC and how that has stabilised at around
$1200 BTG could enjoy something similar, it all depends
on adoption.
6529  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Bela - Mission: Make Cryptos Simple [Poloniex Listed] on: November 21, 2017, 05:01:57 PM
I wish luck to Belacoin with this new thread. I am following this coin since the first announce of Belacam application. I know this coin has big potential and the price is very very cheap at the moment like some other good projects and altcoins. I know the dev is working very hard (even some mistakes according to me) I am sure Belacoin will go to new ATHs after the lunch of Belacam.
Good luck

I wasnt aware of this new thread until I visited the old one today.
I too have been following Bela since the first announcement by
The Ambia Fund. Lets hope we can move forward with this as
Belacam has gone completely off the boil IMO.

Yup same boat as you, Im holding a bit at a loss lol. Kinda left it on Polo for ages.
Can we get listed on another exchange, that alone will bring a lot of attention to the project which quite honestly is more interesting than 90% of ecr20 tokens going around now.
Binance or Kucoin are pretty good these days, while polo has been really buggy and slow with support a lot of users are just leaving it now.

yes i moved my trading and exchange activity from Poloniex
to Bittrex. Poloniex indeed was buggy, bittrex is less so.

Hard Fork Update (11/5 - 11/11)

Finished everything laid out at the end of last week, with the exception of the Genesis Block changes. That is saved for a later date because that's where we "break" from the old chain. The tasks laid out last week are as follows:

1. Alter the parameters surrounding the genesis block and starting difficulty as well as the difficulty scaling of the system
2. Hash out the networking aspect more, and prepare a plan for migrating user data from the current blockchain to the next one

This upcoming week should mostly be the networking changes. We are moving through this portion of the project much faster than we thought we'd be able to.

As for Belacam Gamma, the official release date has not yet been announced.
[/s]

What do we need to do with our windows wallet if anything?
Good to hear that things are moving alsong with development.
I asked the question earlier if we need to do anything with
our existing wallets ahead of the fork?
6530  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: I just launched a pretty cool tool to find oversold coins. Any suggestions? on: November 21, 2017, 02:28:42 PM
yes looks good and looks like a good tool but please explain how can this
help trading? i'm not sure what "OVERSOLD" actually means  Huh [SORRY]
6531  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: What's a list of your most used/trusted exchanges? on: November 21, 2017, 11:41:27 AM
The most used and most trusted exchange I use is Bittrex!
I also use Poloniex for coins I have that are not listed on
Bittrex and GDAX for trades that are going eventually to FIAT.
6532  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Exchange Question on: November 20, 2017, 10:26:01 AM
I dont think any exchange will have every currency and coin listed.
from personal experience I think Poloniex have a really big amount
of listings also Bittrex have quite a big amount of listings.

There is a constant reordering of listings though, some of the less
adopted ones can and are being delisted.
6533  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: any predictions or special investment scheme for the upcoming new year? on: November 19, 2017, 02:39:25 PM
This year alone we have seen bitcoin rise from approximately
$1200 to almost $8000 i am predicting for next year we can
hope to see the same percentace rise again.......at least.

I am basing this on more adoption of bitcoin and blockchain
more forks which seems to have a positive affect on bitcoin.
6534  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin almost hitting $8000 on: November 19, 2017, 08:00:32 AM
Its the new glass ceiling that will be shattered soon.
There are a lot of sell orders being created on the
exchanges which is keeping it below the $8000 level.

Once the ceiling is broken BTC will continue its rise.
6535  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [ICO] TRUCKCOIN: For the fastest decentralized global market on: November 18, 2017, 07:50:46 PM
I have got another news from truckcoin that Russia Has Found Best Location for Crypto Miners
The Russian Association of Blockchain and Cryptocurrency has conducted a study to determine the best location for cryptocurrency mining in the country. The best region found is a major transport and distribution center as well as a transit hub with cheap electricity. Currently, there are very little crypto mining activities in that area. We can visit the link below to getting more information about it, it interesting information. https://truckcoin.com/russia-has-found-best-location-for-crypto-miners/
This is good for  the Krasnoyarsk territory and good for truckcoin
and the mining of. Will this effect other miners who want to do
mining with mobile phones?
6536  Economy / Speculation / Re: 1 btc=8000$ (buy or sell?) on: November 17, 2017, 01:48:48 PM
Ive been seeing this question popping up since i
got into crypto. I asw it at $2500, $4000 and
more. If you are badly stuck for fiat funds then
sell and take your fiat. If you are in for the long
haul, hold. I believe bitcoin could reach $9000
before 2018!
6537  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why people sell bitcoins? on: November 17, 2017, 12:34:21 PM
not everyone is in a position to keep all their bitcoins.
everyones circumstances are different, I have sold BTC
a few times so far, once to pay a monthly bill and the
second to buy a treat for myself  Grin

Bitcoin was actually invented to be an alternative to
FIAT not just a store of value and a commodity to be
traded.
6538  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin = Laundering on: November 17, 2017, 10:56:38 AM
it depends on a lot of factors.
what country you are in and if you can opt to pay tax
on your lodgements. but all this has been mentioned above.

I think it will potentially get more difficult to transfer
crypto into FIAT in to future.

maybe that will be part of the crypto future . . .
not having to use FIAT at all?
6539  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [ICO] TRUCKCOIN: For the fastest decentralized global market on: November 17, 2017, 09:43:43 AM
Well I dont know much about mining but I do know
its difficult to mine Bitcoin.

The low difficulty level of truckcoin can only see a
good take up in mining it.
6540  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Sia - Decentralized Storage on: November 16, 2017, 05:29:56 PM
i know its hard to believe the price drop we have experienced
but it is only a $value, there is still development work taking
place and storage useage is on the increase.

It still has the same future we all got involvd with it for!!

Here is an earlier post by Hakkane:

Does the project cooperated with some well known enterprises? the storage market is a hot market, but there are already many big whales in it, so what is the market plan?

Two weeks ago an arrangement was made with the RNDR so they'll use the Sia storage network for storing their rendering projects of their project. Aside that, the team is right now focused now on increasing the reliability and scalability of the project, so I don't think it is the moment for marketing. I guess that will come next year.

Has Sia still been developed recent months? Have you ever use Sia services i  real life? thank you all.

This question has been answered 2 or 3 times in the last 2 pages of this thread, please next time check the last pages before posting. It is actively being developed, this is a report of the very last week's progress:

<<Development update for week of November 5, 2017
The Sia team has contributed to 6 repositories since Sunday Nov. 5th.  Most of the heavy development work was focused around the new writeaheadlog and pages repos.  Chris led that effort with over 4,000 lines of new code committed and merged.  Keep up the good work Chris!

Luke has made excellent progress integrating the new writeaheadlog and pagemanager (pages repo) into the Sia codebase.  Development is ongoing and must be completed before 1.3.1RC2 is released.

David spoke over the weekend at ScalingBitcoin 2017, you can view his talk here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?time_continue=8352&v=3pd6xHjLbhs

Luke, David, and Ava continue to make incredible progress in the backlog of Pull Requests and Issues.  Across the 6 repos updated this week 9 PRs have been merged, 15 issues closed and many more labeled, reviewed, and commented on.  This week also marked the first full week the Sia team had an on-call person who was available via Discord for community questions, code reviews, and general Sia discussion.  Thanks to mtlynch for the on-call suggestion!>>

Aside that, the service has been working for 2 years and currently the storage network consists on 3.3 Petabytes of available storage across more than 850 hosts. It holds 105TB of data. This is the growth of the file contracts in the last 6 months:
