6541  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Spence Jr vs Porter on: September 20, 2019, 11:48:09 AM
This is gonna be a great match,  Porter fan here because I love underdog and I like to have Spence his first loss because this is so favorite to win in this fight. I just like to try my luck betting on the dog as the return is bigger, in boxing nowadays upsets happen, yes, if Porter will win, this could be an upset because Porter is undervalued in this fight.

According to - https://www.boxingscene.com/spence-porter-fox-countdown-show-drew-604000-viewers--142428

Quote
Most odds-makers have installed the unbeaten Spence as at least a 9-1 favorite over Porter.
Great odds for the underdog.

9-1 is very huge it's a shut off for porter and tho think Porter is a former champion I don't think the gap is not that wide, Spence uses his jab and reaches effectively the proof is on his last fight against Garcia, but Porter can slug it out, we have a good and should close fight here not this kind where Porter is a big underdog.

That's one key strength of Porter, and I'm sure that it will be his game plan from the time the bell rings.

Spence will used his jab, Porter trying to negate it by coming inside and slugging it out and try to test Spence ability. So it's really going to be close as well,  9-1 is disrespectful to say the least because Porter is also a world champion.

Whoever wins this match will face Manny Pacquiao and this could be the biggest test on Manny Pacquiao's campaign, both fighters are on their prime, they are not coming up from a long lay off, like what happens to Thurman whose performance suffers from a long lay off.

But I agree that it's a big injustice for Porter to have an underdog tag, this guy is no patsy, he can fight and it's hard to dominate him with his style.

Really if there is anyway to erase scammers off crypto space it would have been better, 2019 would have bring better results for altcoins if not for scam projects everywhere scamming new investors, now scammers are scaring off new crypto investors wannabe since there is no trust or whatsoever and investors don't want to lose money either, whatever the next altcoin results is going to be will not be huge as many expected due to investors not trusting new altcoins anymore, no wonder why binance launchpads are selling out in seconds.

This is what happens if there is no regulation and every developer can do whatever he wanted without answering to any regulatory body, ICO's are operating in trust, and they are free to break that trust for money and these scammers are getting away, without obligation to authorities.

Quote
If crypto space is just like how binance managed IEO project in return for their own reputation altcoins will be skyrocketing right now because much more money will flow in, exchanges like binance is giving out trust investment that i really hope the entire altcoin space can do the same but its a shame scammers are robbing off the trust
Binance is a big savior for investors, without Binance there will be no crowdfunding anymore, investors feel safe and secure and Binance makes things easy, they do not have to do an assignment on looking for the right project to invest
6543  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Ask The Bounty Team before joining on: September 19, 2019, 04:11:35 PM
Recently, I just had this bad experience with a bounty campaign I joined (Vanta to be specific). They've extended the campaign, added some task, and threatened participants that they'll not get all the bounty rewards if they won't participate. I raised my concerns to the bounty manager and I was quite disappointed with the response.

To all fellow hunters, you may want to ask this questions to your bounty managers before joining a campaign:

1. Bounty campaign extension
- Will the team ask for an increase in the bounty pool?
- Will the team close the registration and allow only those participants prior to extension?

2. ICO team inserting rules after the campaign
- Will the team allow ICO teams add rules like exchange voting and require hunters to participate?
- What would be the bounty team's response if ICO teams would withhold the bounty rewards to force hunters to participate?

These questions might help you understand how strong the bounty manager is when it comes to protecting its group of bounty hunters.

Disclaimer: I've also posted a similar topic in other forums I'm into. In case someone checks my post for plagiarism

Even if you asked these questions and get a satisfactory answer, there is no guaranty that they will not change the rule, because almost all bounty managers can change the rule anytime to the advantages of the campaign.

I have asked one bounty manager that there will be no KYC and he says yes, only to change later that they are now implementing KYC because of the very old alibi of bounty hunters cheating.
6544  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Altcoins PurgeThe Advantages Brought By Bear Market on: September 19, 2019, 03:44:05 PM
So many projects or coins are dying or become shitcoins because of the bear market and only coins with real potential in the market has a chance to make it through the bull run.
Do you think the bear market is a good way to purge coins that are not worthy to be in the market, I believe the bear market is a good parameter to see if the market has a good potential.
6545  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Nigerian crypto educator returns $80k in bitcoin recieve by mistake. on: September 19, 2019, 03:09:41 PM
This threads is as a respond to the numerous replies on my previous thread proclaiming everything Nigeria is been associated with negatively. The actual truth is the good/positive incident aren't been circulated like the negative news. The media are mostly interested in painting the country bad. This incident of a bitcoin entrepreneur returing 7.8 BTC (worth around $80,000 when the transaction occurs) is an example we do have good individuals among us. I did follow the development of the story when i saw his tweet informing about the mistake although I'll be linking you guys to a more reliable source.

Keith Mali Chung — the co-founder and president of African blockchain firm Loopblock Network — has returned almost $80,000 worth of Bitcoin (BTC) mistakenly sent to his wallet.

Chung — who goes by the Twitter handle of “Bitcoin Keith (The African Bitcoin Bull)” — tweeted about the incident on Sept. 12:
“I received huge sum of BTC from an unknown sender and it’s definitely a mistake from someone I must have had transaction with before, Kindly DM me time of transaction, your adress and exact digits sent..
thank you. Kindly retweet”

In a further update on Sept. 13, Chung revealed that the exact sum of apparently accidentally transferred Bitcoin was 7.8 BTC — worth $79,482 to press time. He also indicated that the sender who remains anonymous had responded to his request, meaning he was able to return the funds. He explained:

“In Africa, which is where I am situated, 80% we transact Cryptos through WhatsApp escrows and someone who himself and I had business in the past made this huge mistake of sending 7.8BTC into my blockchain wallet. I spread the words round & he reached out.”

Chung’s actions earned him significant social media acclaim and even the moniker of “African/Nigerian good samaritan” on crypto Twitter. Had he failed to identify the sender, he had pledged to donate the accidentally-gotten proceeds to Binance, which organizes a series of philanthropic projects via its charity arm, Binance Charity.

In conclusion, Nigerians are enthusiast of this currency (bitcoin), Any Nigerian who have encounter the currency and invested wisely can testify it has had more effects in their life than the government had during that timeframe😁 all I'm trying to say is we mean well towards the adoption of the currency. Although this is a story of just one individual, there are many of us out there who would had done the same.

I can vouch for Nigerians  that they are good people, I'm not a Nigerian and had a lot of Nigerian friends and bad and good people exist in every country, it should not be associated to one nationality alone, going back to the Nigerian crypto educator who returns $80k in bitcoin received by mistake,  it's a good marketing for Bitcoin $80k is a big amount, and it will go higher because of Bitcoin's potential in the market.
6546  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: BOUNTIES That's Paying ETHEREUM (or Listed Currencies) on: September 19, 2019, 02:53:43 PM
We need something like this in the ICO bounty campaign, I understand that it's not been updated for quite sometimes because very few bounty campaigns pay through tradeable coins in the market, and it's not surprising since these projects do not have funds to pay their bounty hunters
and they prefer to pay with their token to save funds.

How I wish in the future all bounty campaign will be paid in the top tradeable coins in the market, many bounty hunters stopped doing bounty campaign because of tiresome and useless tokens they've been receiving.
6547  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Can I earn 1 bitcoin in 1 year through bounties ?? on: September 19, 2019, 01:59:48 PM
I am in the crypto world since a long time but I never earned 1 BTC whole ever..I never took bounties too seriously but now I am jobless and want to start with bounty...how much can be earned with bounties specially with my rank..
You cannot earn 1 Bitcoin now with the current situation in the bounty and the market, the highest that I have earned since last year was $150 and I'm glad I dump that coin if not I would have earned $30, and that's 4 months of the bounty campaign.

Even if you have a legendary rank you cannot earn 1 Bitcoin even if you join 5 campaign this year, it's not the rewards anymore it's the project's potential success is what matter now.

People are still hoping it's up to you if you keep this coin and wait for the altcoin season to arrive.

just wondering is there such a thing as a non listed token exchange
where semi failed projects can exchange tokens for other semi failed projects :-)
id like to split my risk

Nobody wants to hold a failed projects if some of the tokens you are holding are still in exchanges then trade it at whatever amount so you can save whatever funds you will get.
Your experience is not isolated in fact the majority of us suffer the same fate and many more will suffer if they keep investing in dubious projects. I guess we become wiser now and we don't easily believe in the hype these projects are doing to promote their projects.
6549  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: FIRST TIME OF HEARING THE WORLD BOUNTY! on: September 19, 2019, 12:20:05 PM
Few weeks ago I found my self in this technological medium And I have been on the newbies section not knowing there are several sections here on the forum. Coming here I find one word very common which is Bounty it will a pleasure if someone will highlight what its all about it importance and benefits !!!

Unfortunately, you are three years late, bounty hunting is not good as it was before, I am old bounty hunters and I can prove and all the other old bounty hunters too that it's like not worth to do bounty hunting, now so many scam project so many failed project that 1 out of 20 projects are sure to fail and will not get support.

Even now that I only do social marketing, it's worthless, some of the projects I've promoted last year still didn't come to my wallet, some of them are shitcoins in my wallet.

I am not discouraging you but it's better to do your own research so you can see the real picture in your perspective.
6550  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How many gambling sites are you playing and do you use the same strategy on: September 19, 2019, 11:15:53 AM
I am only playing on two gambling sites and I've used the same two strategies on both, martingale with variations and just betting and let the luck play its course, on both sites there's not much different you can win and you can lose, it's how lucky you are in a given day or night.

The houses edge will always beat you, it's only a matter of time, you can quit when you are winning or you can lose if you keep on winning, but if you are playing just to make fun, you always employ the best method to prolong your game.
6551  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: how to detect desperate Developers and scammers on: September 18, 2019, 05:35:24 PM
Obviously any project that promises you any of these are either scam or dangerous investments plans managed by desperate developers

1. Huge ROI in short period of term
2. Risk free investments
3. Assurance of what to come
4. Big exchanges listing like binance

I have promoted projects that pretends to have listing plan on big exchanges just to make people promote the project and make investors invest too

Yes you hit it all right, these are the signs of projects run by scammers but there are also legit projects that have all these features on their roadmap, and every developer wants to have everything good in their project.
Scammers are good in imitating what good developers are doing, sometimes these scammers are going to the extent of copying their whitepaper
and their concept, but investors are wiser now, they know how to differentiate from their past experiences.
6552  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: How to find a team for a project? on: September 18, 2019, 04:31:43 PM
Hello,

my question is basically, how to find a team for a project if an idea is already there and a concept written.
Maybe here is someone who has the experience and already a running project and have some tips how to find a good team and start the project.

Thanks in advance for your responses and tips.

Building a team should take time, you should know each one of your team members, not because they have a good resume in Linked, which can be faked anytime and some of these people are just faking their resume.

It's much better that you get a team from your location so you can interact personally, so you'll know how capable and committed he is in your project, talking them in a chat room and speaking to them personally are two different things.
6553  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Most of gamblers are rich or poor? on: September 18, 2019, 04:03:47 PM
I don’t think you can pigeon hole gamblers as poor or rich. Just like in all walks of life people/gamblers come from  all kinds of different backgrounds. Some gamblers are rich, some are poor & many are stupid who lose everything trying & failing to get rich.

This is also my view, it's not about the status of life but his character on how he shuns gambling, there will always gambling around us, especially in a place where gambling is legal, here on the internet there are a lot of gambling sites and it's much easier to fall, because you can do it in a privacy of your room without knowing anyone in your family.

There are forms of gambling that cater for the poor and there are forms of gambling that caters for the rich, so it's about the character of the individual.
6554  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Shitcoins have been around from the start on: September 18, 2019, 03:45:08 PM
If i am right shitcoins have been in existence since the earlier days of coins like bitcoin and litecoin, some coins came into crypto space as early as 2011 and they vanished into thing air, failed project or scam maybe, but now that crypto is been heard of all around the globe so what do you expect? scammers will invade of cos but these won't stop good projects from been born even when 90percent of projects are failing, my advice is just be sure of what you are investing on, make sure they have what it takes and have it at the back of your mind that its still a risk you've taken, anything can happen

Imitation will get you nowhere, and original will always stand the test of time, and it's very true here in Cryptocurrency, since the inception of Bitcoin and it's being open-sourced many clone coins are now dead coins with the exception of Dogecoin and litecoin.

If you are just imitating a well-established coin and you don't have a platform and a unique concept, you cannot create a community that will support your coin, but unfortunately, developers are not giving up in creating new clone coins, because they thought new people will believe them, that they are the next big thing.

One day the  bitcoin cost only $ 2 , but the price is now more than $ 10,000 .
You may have a chance to get cca $ 5 and sell it to $ 15,000 in the future .
What do you think?

The free public offering of Counos Coin and giving various services can be effective in the future development of the market of cryptocurrencies and Blockchain technology.

It 's not an advertisement , it 's true.
You may regret a near future if you simply walk past us .

Promises this is what all the developers are shouting every time they created a new coin, they will announce that their coin will follow Bitcoin or will beat Bitcoin, after thousands of coins they are still giving us this kind of empty promise.

Can you not involve the history of Bitcoin or mention Bitcoin, don't ride on the success of Bitcoin and just focus on your own.
These developers should stop writing about the history of Bitcoin then make a comparison on their own coin, it will not work anymore.

This is 2019 stop giving us the same formula that developers have used back 2012

6556  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: China Urges Philippines to Ban All Online Gambling! on: September 18, 2019, 02:35:39 PM
Maybe the Government is not looking at the Ban in China but looking at the opportunities that this could bring to the Philippines. According to a news report by CNN, the salaries paid to POGO employees are now higher than those who are in BPO's other wise known as call center agents. Also demand for office space also increased specially in Metro Manila area and Metro Cebu.

A ban is unlikely and if ever there is an effort for a ban it will pass through congress and it will take some time to amend the gambling laws and besides the government have received billions of pesos from online gambling which is a very huge help with the current administration ambitious build, build, build program.
The Philippines needs the money and the influx of these Chinese operating online gaming and not to mention the yen that they are pouring in the economy is good for the country, the only bad side is, these Chinese don't have respect to local ordinances, these Chinese should be given a lesson not to mess with local authorities or they will face deportation.
I think there should be a department set up for this by the regulators to make sure that they are going to respect local ordinances and abide in the laws here. We will see more Chinese coming in now because they find doing business here is great.

273 Chinese nationals were arrested in the Philippines, accused for defrauding more than one thousand investors in an alleged Bitcoin scam syndicate as per information from coindoo...

Read the full news here

I hope in future more of these criminals will face karma one way or the other and people should stop trying to double bitcoin without working for it, its simply greed
According to the news they work as an exchange, they are located in one of the provinces in the Philippines and they are regulated by the Economic Zone where they are located, I watched the interview of the Economic zone lawyer and these company is being monitored and they pay their taxes and obligations to the Economic Zone authority, I was surprised, there's a different story here.

They should first be investigated, there are many Chinese coming here to set up this kind of activity and trying to cover their front by establishing as a legit entity.

France: We can't allow Facebook's Libra in Europe

Quote
PARIS (Reuters) - Facebook’s Libra cryptocurrency cannot be allowed to operate in Europe while concerns persist about sovereignty, systemic financial risks and the risk of abuses by a dominant market player, France’s finance minister said on Thursday.

https://www.reuters.com/article/us-facebook-cryptocurrency-france/france-we-cant-allow-facebooks-libra-in-europe-idUSKCN1VX0X5

Libra hasn't taken off but it looks like it will have a lot of roadblocks ahead specially in Europe. I don't know what steps Facebook big brass will do, but it is going to be difficult for them specially their history about protecting their user's privacy.

What are your thoughts?

I think France has seen something about what Libra Coin can do, this is why they make their first move, on banning Libra coin in their territory, but knowing Facebook, they have the resources, they can do amendments and cooperation they can fix this in the future, this is a temporary set back for them.
But if Facebook continue to do things that can harm the privacy of their users, then we can expect more countries banning Libra Coin.

I've been using some browser extensions for my work and so far they are good for me, as long as the extension is verified and had a good reviews and those extensions have proven to be safe, some of the extensions I'm using is the Alexa and download manager.

Bit if you are downloading browser extensions from a third party then you better check it twice or thrice this is where hackers find their way to hack your wallet.
6560  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Andy Ruiz vs Anthony Joshua II on: September 17, 2019, 04:49:06 PM
This rematch is just a formality that the time of Andy Ruiz holding the belt is over. I can't see a chance that he would win the rematch as Joshua will be more careful this time and he need not to slug it out with Ruiz, just score points and he will win the fight.

That's likely what he is going to do because he knows Ruiz has a short reach and move slowly, he cannot slug it out with Ruiz, because Ruiz is strong has fast hands, the worst thing that he'll do is to slug it out with Ruiz, if he can do that he can win by decision, but he is a challenger and a challenger should bring the fight to the champion and not the other way around.
This is the strategy that he was using during the first rounds of the fight and it worked perfectly against Ruiz, his mistake was trying to impress the public by going for the KO when it was clear that despite the down Ruiz was not really affected that much, then he was hit by the fast hands of Ruiz and it went downhill from that moment.

So if Joshua wants to win he needs to fight in a smart way and use his size to his advantage and keep Ruiz at a distance in which only him can damage him, if he does not then his size becomes a disadvantage and he will simply become a huge target for Ruiz.

What makes this fight so exciting for boxing aficionados and bettors is they want to know if Joshua can really get back and what new he has to show, for me  Ruiz's wins is not a fluke, he totally dominated him and Joshua did not lose by a single punch, he quit because he cannot take it anymore.

If you study the fight, we are seeing the usual dominant Joshua until he gets hit by Ruiz's fast and heavy hands, I think the fight will go on where it left in their first fight.
