6561  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Coin Management Services on: December 05, 2017, 04:00:45 PM
What is about trust ?
What are the criteria for assessing the reliability of the company you will use ?
The amount of advertising ? the duration of work ?

This is the first thing I thought of!

I can imagine it would be or is a good idea and I have not
heard of it until now.

I would assume it would be targeted to people with a large
portfolio who would not have the time and or knowledge to
work and manage it.

Is there any examples?
6562  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoins speculation for 2018? on: December 05, 2017, 02:05:17 PM
I believe it would reach 100k by the end of 2018  Grin Grin

Not at all.I was dam sure that  bitcoin will not reach 100k $ at the end of 2018 .Bitcoin price will reach the maximum value of 25k$ at the end of 2018.This year start the price of bitcoin was 1000$ at the end the price was 13000$ sure .So if it reaches as like this year means the maximum value of bitcoin will be 25,000$.

im not so sure about that.
i have been reading all year how people are asking will bitcoin reach $1500,
will bitcoin go past $2000, will bitcoin reach $5000 in 2017?
the price cannot be predicted, it could fall after reaching $12500, it could
reach $20000 or $50000, who knows but it is going up!!
6563  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [ICO] DIMCOIN The Future Of Equity on the Blockchain on: December 05, 2017, 01:01:07 PM
i havent been paying attention to dimcoin recently and i am very
happy to hear they are developing a new branch.

I am reading a bit of negativity around this new development, if
people are willing to trust the technology and hold for long term
there will not be a problem.

Yes the price will fall when it hits the exchanges as people want
to take their profits, they cannot see the long term possibilities.
6564  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: 0.03 BTC to 3 BTC Challenge on: December 05, 2017, 09:26:43 AM
Hey all, I'm going to start this challenge of turning 0.03 BTC to 3 BTC. I have no idea if I can accomplish this, but I'll be sharing my progress daily with you. If I somehow can do this, it'll prove that anyone can make money in trading as long as you are dedicated and put in the time and work.

I'll also be posting some of my trades during the challenge on Twitter (in my signature), so catch you there too! Hopefully I don't go broke in a few days Cheesy

What coins am I holding?

I rarely hold a coin longer than a few days, so I don't find it helpful to post here. I do however post all my trades on Twitter so if you want to know, catch me there! If I really like a trade, I'll post it here. For example, the BCH and XLM trade.

Portfolio Status (Updated Daily)
November - 0.082 BTC
December - 0.15 BTC

this is a very good return, well done.
People are so skeptical although it was/is a big task.

The challenge going forward is to figure out whether
to keep to the successful routine or change it to
make faster gains?

Interesting.
6565  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Bittrex is better? on: December 05, 2017, 07:02:26 AM
I think bittrex has a better reputation compared to poloniex
according to some people here on the forum.

Personally i use bittrex way more then poloniex.

Poloniex has one neat feature which iz good if you are holding
for medium to long term, that is its lending facility. You can
earn while holding.
6566  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Are Bitcoin services trustable? on: December 04, 2017, 11:32:08 PM
it would indeed be handy to know what bitcoin services you wish to avail of.
as mentioned above there are shady and trustable people in every possible
bitcoin service.

If you are more specific and let us know what you are looking for we can
help you out!!

6568  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Sia - Decentralized Storage on: December 04, 2017, 05:13:06 PM
In my modest opinion, it is due to the incoming hardfork at block 135000 (in about 2-3 days):

- The hardfork news are giving a lot of visibility to Sia. Unfortunately most of the traders that move the markets do not read accurate sources of information and believed for several months the project was dying (totally false, the development has not stopped at any time and we had very good news in the last months). So more exposure in the social media lead to people read about Sia.

- A lot of traders have the miss-conception that the hardfork will drive to the creation of 2 coins in a similar was as Bitcoin Cash fork, so they are buying SC ahead of the fork. This is totally incorrect and people need to understand that this hardork will not create two coins: It is network upgrade that will make old client versions incompatible with the new rules of the blockchain. All users, miners and exchanges are going to use the new blockchain rules, and so the legacy chain will be abandoned. The Siacoin we will all use is the new one, and the legacy Siacoin will not be listed on any exchange, as no miners will mine for it, no users will use it.

Thanks for the Clarification.
Is there a expected date for the hard fork ?

It will be at block 135000 and we are currently at block 134679 (you can check the current block at https://www.siastats.info/index.html). Block time average is 10 minutes, so the hardfork is expected in 53 hours

So for a newbie here, Do we need to do anything with our Siacoin? Or just continue to hold?

If you are holding your coins in the official client, just be sure you are using the version 1.3.0. If it is an earlier version, just update. If not, you'll simply will not be able to see updated balances on your wallet, as you will not accept new blocks. However you'll always control your funds as long as you keep your recovery seed, so you can update at any moment in the future to send those coins anywhere else.

If you are holding on a exchange, it is safe to assume all the big ones are running an updated version of Sia, so they will keep operating normally (the compatible version was released 6 months ago!). However, as you probably know, holding your funds long-term on an exchange is a horrible idea as you don't control the keys of your coins, and so the exchanges can crash, can be hacked, can run away with your money, and you'll lose everything. For any coin you have, the safest place is always the official client (or a hardware wallet if the coins has one available, not the case of Sia), so you'll always control the keys that give access to the funds.

I have heard that sia is planning to launch its own campaign, what about the original concept, i mean the cloud storage services should be developed and be a success before launching a new project.
As far as we are aware, the developing company (Nebulous) does not have any other project they are preparing. Nebulous also owns a subsidiary called Obelisk that is developing ASIC miners, but the team behind it is different from the team developing SIa (with the exception of the CEO and the PR)

good responses as always Hakkane. plenty of details!
I have my SIA on Bittrex so I will continue to hold there
although I will be updating the SIAwallet and move the
tokens there.

Great to hear also that development is moving along
contrary to what has been said before on this thread
when the $ value was shrinking.

SIA is still here.
6569  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: BitcoinGet - Earn bitcoin with surveys, tasks, and videos on: December 03, 2017, 08:34:33 PM
Im only seeing this now, i wasnt aware of this form of earning
Bitcoin. Do you have any further info regarding the rewards.

6570  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: New Poll On Use of Bitcoins on: December 03, 2017, 05:36:14 PM
I am also wondering what the point of this poll is?
5 potential answers to the question is far to small,
I have already bought with .05BTC it is not a vast
amount and whst if you could choose "all of the above"?

6571  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [ICO] TRUCKCOIN: For the fastest decentralized global market on: December 03, 2017, 04:21:03 PM
The rate at which the ICO tickets are selling out is remarkable. I haven't witnessed something like this in a very long while. Surely Truckcoin is the most anticipated ICO of 2017. Make sure tomorrow and every day you set your clock to participate early in the coins sale and get on board the fastest payment processing blockchain network.

Yes its great news and as many predicted each daily session is not going to last very long.
The second ico phase will sell without issue.
6572  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] TenX: Making Blockchain assets spendable on: December 03, 2017, 12:37:57 PM
Thanks for the replies to my post previously ^
Just reading the posts and its great to see that people are ordering
and using cards. My boss is very sceptical about bitcoin, he is
constantly asking "where can you spend it?" Well i cant wait to
show him the card when it arrives !
6573  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Have several unconfirmed transactions going back over 3 weeks on: December 01, 2017, 04:14:32 PM
Could a service be generated to collect micro-payments
and dust-payments into one larger one?

The longest lasting transaction I have had to date was
for 8 days, in the end I requested a REFUND which took
about another 3 days to be actioned but it did happen
and my transaction was REFUNDED.

It was through Shapeshift.

Maybe have a look at some of the transactions and see
if they can be refunded?
6574  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [ICO] TRUCKCOIN: For the fastest decentralized global market on: December 01, 2017, 10:01:21 AM
Terrible 20k ticket sold out within 30 minutes. I do not have time to buy, wait tomorrow! Sad

You have to get in early!!
For anyone not in the loop here are the numbers:

$20-50 / ticket

$1 increasing per ticket each 24 hours

only 20,000 tickets available each 24 hours

only total 513,333 tickets available

3 TRKC per ticket for 1st 10 days

2 TRKC per ticket for 2st 10 days

1 TRKC per ticket for last 10 days
6575  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] TenX: Making Blockchain assets spendable on: November 30, 2017, 11:57:13 PM
I just ordered my TENX card after a friend showed me his new
arrival today. I got a message to say the cards are currently
out of stock, what is the current estimated lead time?

Is there over 17,000 cards distributed already?

104,661,310 tokens * $2,46 = $257,466,822.6 need to be collected

To make this happen we need 200 * <$ value of 0.5%> = $51,493,364,520
(close to a third of today's BTC marketcap: $167,024,234,822)

Under consideration that company tokens will get rewards as well, sooner or later (otherwise they would not have any use case or value) it becomes worse as you can imagine: 205,218,256 PAY tokens * $2,46 * 200 = $100,967,381,952

Let's calculate with 12k per person spent via the card in average, quite high, but may happen:
$12,000 * 0,005 = $60 collected (0.5% reward)

So, to collect $51,493,364,520  TenX needs: $51,493,364,520 / $60 per person and yr  = 858,222,742 the amount of customer years required (one customer 10 years is equal to 10 customers one year).
Bad assumptions give bad results Smiley
1) 12k usd per person per year -> most ppl who get tenx card were early in crypto bussines = they got cash.
I got card for 1 month. My spending was ~11k usd in last month using card. My early spending should be close to 120k-150k usd per year. Average probably should be close to 50% or average yearly salary of person using card or more like 75%. I would say it is safe to assume 30k usd per year per user.

2) You don't count total value equal to 1 year earnings Smiley never ever!.
This company will not case to exist in 1 year so this assumption that company vaporizes in 1 year is extremely faulty giving huge error.
Look at Tesla P/E = infinity Smiley
Netflix P/E = 189
Amazon P/E = 297
Yelp P/E = 489

(P/E is Price/Earning)

Average for tech companies is ~30. Good companies with good potential growth in future are 100+. So Tenx should have at least P/E=100.

So after fixing base assumptions, let's fix your calculations:

104,661,310 tokens * $2,46 /100(p/e) = $2,574,668 need to be collected

To make this happen we need 200 * <$ value of 0.5%> = $51,493,364

$30,000 * 0,005 = $150 collected (0.5% reward)

So, to collect $2,574,668 TenX needs: $2,574,668 / $150 per person per year = 17164 customer  using card.

As far as i can know they will get about 25k working card till end of 2017.
So according to this calculation price NOW should be 2.46$(value used for calculations)*25000/17164 (really working  cards/amount from calculation) = 3,58USD per 1 PAY token.

If they get 50k working cards value should be 7,16USD, 100k working cards 35,8 USD.
1k working cards -> 1Pay = 0.35USD  Grin

Everything now depends how many cards were shipped! This is very valuable insider info.

6576  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Gold (BTG) on: November 30, 2017, 05:27:57 PM
Lets just wait and see how the price goes for the next 2 months.
It took around the same time for Bitcoincash to reach the value
it now has.

I got the tokens for nothing so im holding for the medium term
This is my own decision and of course I have no idea how its
going to turn out  Grin
6577  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Buy Entry on: November 30, 2017, 10:50:58 AM
$10,000 is here to stay. if you weren't sure before, you should be sure now that price took a dive and recovered fast. there is a lot of actions going on these days and also manipulation is at its all time high. but the market also has grown too big which you can no longer expect big drops too often. you can place some low bid orders in $9xxx range but don't expect them to be filled anytime soon. there is no more drop in near future. specially with NASDAQ announcing their support for bitcoin now!

yes I think €10,000 is the new base price, it may go lower but
it will only be very short trips but it will rise from the €10,000
price mark.

When the price passed $11,000 the world sat up and took more
notice, positively and negatively depending on who was reporting
it! I heard it on the hourly radio news yesterday and this morning
on the financial currency news as if it has been the norm for years.

Two great articles, thanks for posting these here.
It looks like TRUCKCOIN is attracting more and more
positive news. I like this snippit

it provides a personalized banking option that no other coin offers.
6579  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin price due to retail investors? on: November 30, 2017, 06:37:21 AM
Big time investors along with small retail investors are both groups
which are affecting the bitcoin price. It is all types of people looking
to get in on the action.

Only yesterday i was listening to a comentator talk about JP Morgans
negativity against bitcoin and then they offer bitcoin trading to their
customers requests.

I am also hearing people getting interested in it who previously would
have nothing to do with it, these would be average working class people.
