WOW!!  A place to share some eggciting rare eggs Roll Eyes Roll Eyes  Here are a couple of early on eggs from the ginter x collection.  I believe you might be able to find a mini still on ebay.  Happy hunting all.  The little humpty dumpty guy was from the 2001 Topps collection I believe.

However, these faberge want to be's in my opinion(only the rare ones) will far surpass the costs of the rare crypto's in the short run.

The way of the #83 for sure X 10 in my opinion Shocked Shocked.  Always have fun and enjoy the card.

Do you really think the rare (Brooklyn Mini, Red Mini, Silver Mini) 2019 Egg cards will surpass the costs of the rare (Brooklyn Mini, Red Mini, Silver Mini) 2018 Cryptocurrency cards? (And by 10x too?)

That's a bold statement and very difficult for me to believe. However, I hope that you're right.

Regards,
Chris

Agree, pretty bold statement Cool Cool Cool  Always have fun collecting the cards you like.  Happy hunting

Not for me, won't be pulling any bad eggs or old Fords anytime soon. Good luck to those seeking them. Smiley

I'm seeking them because they look cool and make me smile.   Who knows where the prices will go but, I wouldn't be at all surprised seeing them break the six figure mark this year for some of the rare ones.  Just a humble opinion Smiley Smiley Smiley

I honestly would be shocked if any egg card would fetch in the 10s of thousands, why would it hit 6 figures when some of the most sought after cards in the industry dont come near that?

Am I missing something?

Well, i never watched the khardasians, but they have millions of followers.  The egg is linked to one of them

I'm not following how do an egg and that family linked, this is kind of an odd link

https://www.nbcnews.com/news/us-news/egg-now-instagram-s-most-liked-image-beating-kylie-jenner-n958296

The egg post officially passed Jenner's 18 million likes on Sunday evening, and currently has just over 24.5 million likes. ... In response Kylie Jenner posted a short video of her cracking an egg onto the ground with the caption, “Take that little egg.”Jan 14, 2019

I think it is close to 70 million now but, not 100% sure
Post your set on Instagram or imgur.  I have a low end card. Let's get ball rolling

I'm not on either one but, I posted my cards in this thread.

Yep,  of course no one has a crystal ball and knows what will happen so always buy cards you like and not so much for profit.  While the the crypto card was more forum than it was mainstreet the egg will be world driven into the sales record books. Just my opinion folds, enjoy

Here are a few eggs I have put in the carton so far.  Looking for any of the rare ones except the ginter x black mini which I already have.  Always looking for the ginter x red mini of the crypto card.  My treasure hunt continues  Roll Eyes Roll Eyes Roll Eyes

Hey my fellow collectors

Looks like for the 2019 A&G cards Harrison Ford and the Egg look to be the front runners for highest auction prices.  I give it the next 30 days and this egg will start rolling in my humble opinion.  If anyone pulls any of the rare egg cards I am a buyer for them.   Best to all Cool Cool Cool

What's backing the value of the egg card? Just rarity? Not disliking it by any means but Honus has value because the T206 ushered in the 'first' baseball cards whereas before the 19th century cards were more advertisements. Honus was also one of the first five ever inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame. The look of the card set it apart. So since X, regular, etc. was produced before the crypto card and will be after, it brings up the notion of what will make the crypto card so valuable beyond the possibility it simply isn't ever printed again (which would be nice).

The crypto rookie card is positioned to take advantage of the new wave of regular consumers being able to own pieces of very valuable assets. I think it won't be before long where owners of crypto rookie cards offer the ability through regulated companies for consumers to own a piece of a crypto rookie card as an index store of value for exposure to the crypto and bridge asset class without security or complicated access issues.

Two good articles:

https://www.forbes.com/sites/davidseideman/2019/04/08/trading-cards-jump-another-15-as-alternative-investments-in-2019s-first-quarter/#72cd51eb6009

I recall the Honus Wagner T206 became so valuable because he wouldn't allow his image to be associated with smoking so there were only a few of his cards that made it into the tobacco packs.  Extremely rare.  As far as the egg goes it will purely be about the rarity of the rare ones and there isn't anything to dislike about the egg in my opinion.  Whem someone figures out why the magic black lotus card recently sold for 65,000.00  please let me know.   I know it was a high grade but, it isn't like it's the only one out there.
678  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [INFO] Topps Allen & Ginter Reference Thread on: September 04, 2019, 09:24:26 PM
Did anyone here grab the brooklyn back egg #5.   I missed seeing it completely. Someone got a really good deal around 350.00.  The crypto brooklyn started out selling for 19.00 and 26.00 dollars for the first few and we know today's price for one.   The egg brooklyn backs are starting out of the gate around 300.00. It could just be a fluke and this is it or we might see the next black lotus.  Who knows for sure Cool Cool Cool Cool  Have fun and enjoy collecting your favorites.

There are han solo autographs all over the place, or even Harrison Ford autos too from when Star Wars was the thing, cheaper too. Gotta be because it's Topps. That's a very good sign for us. I guess what I'm saying is, the collectors who want the egg and Harrison Fords autograph cards are welcome to them. I personally think they're over paying for them, and they will lose their value once the "novelty" wears off. A fad if you will. BUT the Crypto Rookie card....well, that's another story all together. Just my 2 Satoshi's.

Agree the crypto card is so unique and special there will never be anything like it.  It stands alone as the crown jewel.   However, these faberge want to be's in my opinion(only the rare ones) will far surpass the costs of the rare crypto's in the short run.  Just my opinion and always buy what makes you smile, investing for profit is very risky.

2019 A&G has some exciting rookies: tatis, Guerrero jr. Jimenez,  Alonso.   Plus their's Harrison Ford autos!

2019 could exceed 2018 price

It just may, don't forget the egg #213 but, what do I know Smiley Smiley I fell down and broke my crown lol Roll Eyes Roll Eyes Roll Eyes
