Phin is online right now. I'm not sure what posts are being deleted but I'll go back through my logs and see which ones are.

Just go back into your log and find his last post and tell me how many posts he had.

His profile says he has 19441 now.

I don't know if post count goes down with deletions on this forum.
662  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Official Thread: AMT on: March 28, 2014, 05:02:29 AM
Was there actually a deal to remove posts if he liked what he saw? Nobody should ever have to do that.

I think he made a gentleman's agreement that if he thought they were legit that he would remove his posts accusing them of being otherwise.

I thought I saw that but I could be crazy, maybe it was a dream.

Yeah, the business sense part of the company is located some where in it's ass right next to customer service part. But at least they are assembling things?
664  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Official Thread: AMT on: March 28, 2014, 04:35:09 AM
Phin is on-line so I think we'll have some information soon.
665  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Official Thread: AMT on: March 28, 2014, 04:30:05 AM
This thread is shrinking. My guess is that means Phin is either being made to delete his post, or he is deleting them himself based on what he saw at AMT.

The ROI is BS out directly from them. It's just marketing because others were doing it. If you get $1 from it you have your ROI.. it does state you'll get profit. just a return on investment, or in other word you got $1 back for your $6K

"If the network increases so much that the next level miner also can’t meet ROI, the product upgrade will continue to the next AMT product which is profitable."

From investopedia:

Definition of 'Profit'

A financial benefit that is realized when the amount of revenue gained from a business activity exceeds the expenses, costs and taxes needed to sustain the activity. Any profit that is gained goes to the business's owners, who may or may not decide to spend it on the business.

Yes it is marketing, and if they don't honor it then it's false advertising http://definitions.uslegal.com/f/false-advertising/ . It is a crime to falsely advertise, http://www.ftc.gov/news-events/media-resources/truth-advertising .

See, words have meanings. Especially words in the context of business. Now what that says is that your machine will be profitable or they will upgrade the machine until you have a machine that will be profitable within a 6 month time period of estimated shipping.

We didn't write it they did. And it's important to hold them accountable to their word. And if they won't hold themselves accountable, there are other parties who will. But perhaps I'm just being impolite.

If this was all raw components, at the current past-due state of my order... This is what I would expect.

2x back-planes, 2x RaspberyPi's, 2x LCD-Displays, 2x PSU's that could run 5 boards each, 10x hashing-boards, and the custom wires to connect things.
(I have network-cables, standard USB cables with mini-connections and such.)

Removed from the shipping, would be the following...
Tower cases
Cooling Fans
Mounting Racks
Mounting Screws/hardware
Assembly-labor

Thus, a full "stripped-down" DIY kit. With compensation for the dually-promised missed shipping dates, MPP, removed components and assembly.

My review was focused on the hardware anyways, not the assembled unit. (Which I would have also disassembled to taste, anyways.)

My order is #968 December 10th
(Promised shipped by FEB, MAR, and now APR.)

I accept that the unit will not be held to any "assembly warranty", but do still expect the rest of the "manufacturing warranty". I will consider the MPP and compensated hardware, as part of that "manufacturing warranty" coverage also. With 5x boards running as 1.2THs in turbo, and the promised 1.5THs for the original late shipment, I feel the 10x boards, which would run at only 2.0THs in non-turbo mode, would place this order in fair standing.

However, If this is not agreeable, I will wait longer for that upgraded 2.4THs "next unit-size up", with the newly designed boards, or standard compensation at the time of the actual shipment of my miner.

Consider this my signed agreement.

P.S. You can contact me through e-mail or through the forums PM system.

I would be willing to do this deal. It would help ROI ,well make a profit as stated in their miner protection plan. We are looking at them needing to send multiple units to nearly everyone to make up for the the increase in difficulty. As it currently stands the 1.2 will not allow profitability at the six month mark as it currently stated in the MPP.

Those units should be shipped at the exact same time as the originally ordered units.

...And where the hell is Bruno?

He skipped the pineapple and just shoved josh up his ass.

What kind of e-mail do you find to be impolite?

Is it impolite to send an e-mail that asks if the date stated directly in my e-mail about two weeks ago for when my order will be shipped is still valid knowing you were having issues with production? Is it impolite to note that we know our rights and that we'd prefer not to go the whole court route because it wouldn't be mutually beneficial? In every interaction I've been cordial, perhaps a little snarky, but that's just my personality and a reflection of the same type of communication I've had over the phone, with some snarky but fun attitudes from your employees.

What does the preferred e-mail format look like when sending you a communication? I honestly want to know so that I can make sure that my e-mails are greeted with responses rather than silence.

I understand delays happen and that supplies are not always delivered on time, working, in the correct quantities, but at what point should we be able to to expect that the time tables you outline are anywhere near an accurate representation of reality?

I don't say that to be impolite, but to be sure that the process is happening as it needs to and that I have adequate time to make arrangements to receive my miner as it's important I'm home when it arrives.

And if my order, #1432, is not going to be shipped the week of 3/24/14 as I was told in that e-mail I deserve to know when it will be. And that doesn't have to happen here on the forum it can been in a private communication for all I care. I'd just like the answer, because as it stands it doesn't look like you are going to meet that self imposed deadline.

And believe me I'd be more than happy come up with a mutually beneficial agreement with you.

Just a heads up, we did try and call Phin and didn't get an answer, but are here waiting.

He said he was at saxby's.

That like right across the street isn't it?

Why not send someone over he's going to be hard to miss.

Just ask for whoever ordered two bowls of dicks and a pineapple.

Saxby's is closed.

Hmmm, dunno then.

I'm just wondering if you guys had received the certified letter I sent.

Never got an alert from the post office and it's been sitting there a week. I'm more then happy to chat the phone about it if you have any extra time in the evenings like now. Obviously wouldn't want to take time away from the build process. The phone # is 219-242-5330.

Who ever is getting pineappled I sure hope they brought some lube.

Some one earlier asked what my order number was. It's 1432.

If I were to take the option of not having my miner assembled, as long as the boards were tested, I would want some sort of compensation as my order did indeed include assembly. I really like the idea of receiving the two backplanes and six boards. I'd want two cages to mount the boards in, I've already priced milk crates for their added open air. My wife doesn't like the idea of a milk crate sitting there so I told her she can paint the outside to match the rest of the room.

I'd love to have the extra space with the 3 boards per backplane. I'd would love to have a liquid cooling system with copper pipe coiled along the heat sink like my old refrigerator. ;-)

Could a system with the two backplanes be run with the one pi and a USB hub?

If five boards run at 1th nominal then 6 boards would be the 1.2 nominal then I should get a little more out of it in turbo mode.

Well my last e-mail from Jim told me that mine would be shipping out by the end of this week. If it doesn't perhaps I'll just ask for my shipping back and fly in for pick up.
675  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Official Thread: AMT on: March 27, 2014, 05:31:54 AM
Also I thought they were expanding the back plane to fit more modules if people wanted to up grade. I mean it looks like you're only getting one more in that case at the most space wise anyway.

The option to upgrade would be nice rather than going whole hog on another miner , which lets be honest if they don't drop the price here soon we'd be better off with other options.
676  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Official Thread: AMT on: March 27, 2014, 05:19:13 AM
I'm just happy the miners exist.

Did it look as if they had a stock pile? Well if not a stock pile, like there were parts enough around for them to ship the sold amount of units?
677  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Official Thread: AMT on: March 27, 2014, 05:11:50 AM
The AMT 1.2TH plate looks like shit but if it functions then who gives a shit.

Edit: Or maybe there is a piece of plastic that needed to be pulled off.

Sweet baby Jesus the miners actually exist.

Maybe Mblackout is being forced to work in the mines Like the kids in temple of doom.

Hello everyone,

I'm new to the forum and I'm glad I've joined. Like others, I've been scammed out of $6150 dollars. Like an arms race, I jumped on board and trusted in AMT to deliver. Well, they failed me and all of you. I too, along with my co-workers were contemplating taking a trip to AMT to get our money back, we're still undecided, however, $6150 is no small change. I've already filed with the BBB and the FBI and strongly suggest for all that have been scammed into this to file. The more voices heard, the faster they will work at resolving the case and prosecuting Josh. The longer we all wait, the more difficult it is to process. Lets all face it. No one is getting any hardware and most likely their money back. Josh travels back and forth to Bulgaria and with 7 million in the bank, who needs to come back to the US.

What a clever game you're playing Mr. Zipkin

Did I do it right? call him josh then post his info?

This thread just got really fucking awesome.

I wish I could tag along just to record the whole damn trip. Would make for an interesting Mini-Doc.

My guess is AMT never even saw what they were getting into here.

This could be amazing.

Lets watch what happens.
Maybe. I think it's just as likely they finally got their shit together and have managed to get a couple units produced that they can show off. Only a few of course, as they just finished shipping out all the units for the day. Hopefully Phin can be forceful in getting something resembling proof to back up their claim of ~150 units shipped already.

I'm gonna say its an elaborate ruse to discredit Phinnaeus. I'll just put it out there. I wouldn't touch their BTC if I wasn't a customer. Sure go see them. But whatever happens there will be his word against theirs.

If there is anyone who lives nearby I'd get as many people to hang around there at the time.

Flash Mob ?

Well we know when he's going to be there. But if a bunch of people show up then AMT will be all scared and won't show anything because it's scary.

my guess is AMT doesn't check this thread again for two weeks so phin never gets the ok. I'd go anyway.

I don't mean to go with or in or whatever, unless AMT agree, but just be witness. Park nearby and watch him arrive, go in, leave etc. He's not exactly difficult to spot Smiley

He should wear the pink tutu just to be sure he can be seen clearly.
