661  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Why trust electrum? on: October 13, 2023, 07:41:16 AM
I may not be an expert in the technical aspects of Electrum, but you can trust me 100% on this issue. I've had a friend who fell victim to a compromised application. A message popped up, suggesting an application upgrade, and he unwittingly followed the link to the wrong site. As a result, his seed was stolen, and all his funds were siphoned away. These security issues are no joke, which is why it's crucial that if we decide to update, we should make darn sure we download the update from the official site.

However, even with all these precautions, there's still a risk of losing your hard-earned money. That's why it's smart to use different wallets. If you choose to stick with Electrum, it's a good idea to spread your funds. This way, if one of your wallets gets compromised, it won't wipe out all your assets since you've already diversified your funds.
662  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Are We Need Satoshi? on: October 13, 2023, 07:28:44 AM
I'd bet my entire house that there's nothing to worry about - Satoshi will always stay anonymous. I mean, the guy is probably out there, living it up, enjoying his wealth, traveling the world, and soaking in the good life. Why would he choose to step out of that peaceful and abundant existence? Being anonymous has given him the freedom to savor life to the fullest. Satoshi is like the crypto god– we can't see him, but we sure do believe in him. It's better if things stay that way.
663  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [BOXING]Adrien Broner vs Chris Howard (Welterweight) Nov 4. . on: October 13, 2023, 07:00:26 AM
Chris Howard has only fought once since 2016. Broner isn't going to challenge for a world title any time soon with those kind of opponents. The fact he's ranked in the top 15 with any sanctioning body has more to do with his name recognition than his quality as a fighter. "About Billions" is clearly desperate for money, that's why he had to resort to signing with Don King. We'll see if he actually goes through with this fight or if he ends up using the mental health issues excuse again and pulls out at the last minute.

He bounced back with two wins after his defeat against Pacman, so it seems safe to assume that any mental issues he had are in the past or under control. This may not be a championship fight, but I'm sure there's still plenty of interest in watching it. Some might be tuning in just to see how Broner ends his career, hehe.
664  Local / Others (Pilipinas) / Re: [Merit Help]Tulungan para magrank-up ang Newbie hanggang Hero Member on: October 13, 2023, 06:26:07 AM

665  Economy / Gambling / Re: Best Parlay Bets for this upcoming weekend in all sports areas on: October 12, 2023, 01:38:13 PM
Hello all,

Have any of you made great parlay bets in the past? I would love to know what it was! Do you have any current Parlay bets being wagered that you would be open to sharing?

I've had some successful parlay bets in the past, and it made for a good day since the winnings were significant. However, it was just for fun and hasn't happened again. So, if you're considering a parlay bet, I'd ask you, what particular games are you interested in betting on?

If you're into basketball, especially the NBA, you might want to check out the NBA betting thread. Some posters share their picks and bet slips, and some even have parlay bets too.

666  Economy / Services / Re: [OPEN]Stake.com NEW SIGN CAMPAIGN l UP TO $160/WEEK l 15 HERO & LEG SPOTS OPEN on: October 09, 2023, 09:48:21 AM
But why is it that it is always open for new applicants, always. I have not seen a time it was CLOSED or CFNP.

I wouldn't bother questioning that; I believe the right thing to say is THANK YOU because an always-open campaign means they're providing opportunities for members who like to participate. Just recently, I noticed that some members were removed from the campaign, if I'm not mistaken. So, in a long-running campaign, there's never a guarantee that you'll stay indefinitely.
667  Economy / Gambling / Re: My best SPORTSBETTING advices! ⚽️ on: October 09, 2023, 06:20:58 AM
I usually go for the free play approach when experimenting. It's just simpler to make hypothetical bets on paper and see if the results are promising enough to give me the confidence to put real money on the line. Now, this isn't like other games; it's sports betting, probably the biggest thing in the sports industry due to the massive amounts of money involved from sports bettors. So, once I nail down that kind of consistency, I'm pretty sure the sky's the limit when it comes to profits.

Honestly, all the strategies in the world won't help if you're not a disciplined gambler. I'm talking about how you handle your emotions while gambling, especially when dealing with the inevitable ups and downs, and still manage to stay focused on your game plan. It's easier said than done, but with time and effort, you can definitely master it in the long run.
668  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: October 08, 2023, 12:32:52 PM
I haven't seen the odds of this over 48.5 wins. But if this is 1.80 or above then I am taking this risk.

Hey there, mate, I'm afraid you can't get those odds with over 48.5 wins because currently, it's higher than that. The odds are already out on sportsbet.io, so you can check it out for yourself.

669  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sometimes just flex it ( luck is all you need) on: October 08, 2023, 11:53:23 AM
Hey, I'm pretty impressed by your luck to hit those odds. True, the amount might not be super significant, but if you'd bet bigger, you could've walked away with a hefty chunk of change. But, you know, since it's a parlay, some folks say you're just tossing your money away. It's not really necessary to bet big, which makes it easier to climb back up and just pick another parlay and hope for the best.

Absolutely, hitting odds like that is doable as long as you keep at it with those parlay bets. And you know what? It doesn't even have to hurt your wallet 'cause you can place less than a dollar on it. It's kinda like playing the lottery but with better odds of winning.

I've actually scored similar odds in the past, not even through a parlay, just a single bet. I went for the heavy underdog, the kind that's down by double digits from the get-go. Nobody thinks they'll make a comeback, especially when they start as the big underdog. But when luck's on your side, you can win even when it looks like a long shot. I'm talking about sports betting, of course.

It's official, we've got a big fight coming up this month. Tim Tszyu currently boasts a clean record with 23 wins (17 by KO). Do you think Mendoza is strong enough to beat the current champion?
671  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: They know the truth but they don't want to accept it, publicly on: October 07, 2023, 11:24:05 AM
Let's not kid ourselves here – in the world of gambling, there's no such thing as a free ride. It's called gambling for a reason, because we're putting our money on the line with the hopes of scoring big, but the outcome? It's a 50/50 chance, win or lose.

Sure, there are ways to make money in the gambling scene, like hustling as an affiliate or doing some marketing for the platforms. But let's be clear, when it comes to the actual playing part, you gotta pay to play, my friend.

Big thanks to Hhampuz and vbetFTN for having me in this wonderful 19 weeks of the campaign. As always, it's my honor to work with the best campaign manager on the forum. Rest assured that I would still be willing to work with you in the future if I qualify for any future campaigns you may run.

To my colleagues as well, you make up such a great team.
673  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will Elon Musk keep what he said or not? on: September 21, 2023, 03:47:29 PM
Quote
Before I comment on the Elon Musk effect, let me start by saying this is a good tweet but it also leaves room for it to be easily misinterpreted especially the line that reads " Bitcoin is consuming more sustainable energy in its mix" this line kind of makes it sound like the crypto industry is wasting valuable energy which can be directed elsewhere were it's needed the most... and feel these guys should choose crypto friendly words that won't hurt the market!

Over 50% is said to be the energy source used in Bitcoin mining, which means this is positive news for bitcoin. Because if Elon Musk fulfills his promise that Tesla will accept Bitcoin again for payment, there is a very high chance that the price value of Bitcoin will rally due to the strength of Elon Musk's influence in an industry like this. Is that the type of tweet that is positive for Bitcoin?
Definitely positive news but I have noticed that the Elon Musk effect is short term because it's usually speculative in nature which losses momentum quite easily, and at the moment we don't mind small or big wins as this counts as a win for the crypto market.

This creates a big impact for bitcoin and its price but thinking that Elon was the one who hyped it, he will also be the reason of its downturn later on. That’s how Elon effect has established in the crypto market. However, this is just a wild guess based from the past hypes made by Elon. Probably, if it’s not Elon, this positive news might definitely stay for good.
674  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: The excitement of the bull run news on: September 21, 2023, 03:03:43 PM
A lot of people thinking that the next Bitcoin halving is pretty much guaranteed to bring the bull market back is making me bearish.

If there's one thing I've learned since the last 7 years, when the normies think that X will cause Y to happen, the opposite usually happens. Or at the very least, it will take longer than usual for what most people think to happen.
There’s actually no guarantees what will happen with this nearing bull run. Even if we always say that history will certainly repeat itself, but if I may say, this time is quite different. We cannot expect that the market will instantly become bullish. It might take a couple of months after a bitcoin halving that bull run may occur. Or we might see a different event, too far from what we have expected.
675  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Bitcoin holder are not maximizing the bitcoin potential on: September 21, 2023, 09:28:38 AM
I definitely agree that bitcoin trading gives more opportunities and creates more rewards than simply bitcoin hodling. But let us all know that bitcoin trading has bigger risk and higher chances of losing especially if you rush into trading without sufficient knowledge and honed skills and strategies that will make you win your trades. I believe a lot are doing this and so they end up losing. And realized in the end that there’s bitcoin hodling that will still give them excellent profits as long as they can withstand the high volatility of the market.
676  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BITCOIN: Give people time! on: September 21, 2023, 09:05:03 AM
While educating yourself is an essential and fundamental step, it alone may not suffice. If you truly want to thrive, you need to focus on being profitable, similar to a game where winning each battle is crucial. Surviving isn't the ultimate goal; it's about achieving success and profitability.
I think that with the goal of surviving, everything will just be built upon your way and that's where being profitable and successful will be achieved.
But it's true that it's not just all about surviving because it's like that you're just here to do things temporarily and you've got no clear goal.
Thus, everything that you do including learning the market, bitcoin and other things that are related to it will make you achieve not just success but also knowledge.
True. Acquiring knowledge and honing your skills will definitely lead to its success. Though there are tough roads to overcome but as long as you conquer them, everything will be fine. Bitcoin may not be a get rich quick and should be learned the hard way at the start, but if you have high understanding and patience throughout your bitcoin journey, no matter how unpredictable the market is, you will end up reaping your success and massive profits.
677  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022–23 PBA Commissioner's Cup on: September 21, 2023, 05:28:21 AM
I was browsing on the PBA officiat website and seen this interesting article, so I thought of sharing it.

Cancer-free LA ready to rejoin Gilas, Ginebra

Quote
TIM Cone happily announced Barangay Ginebra guard LA Tenorio is now cancer-free.

The champion coach said Tenorio just finished his final check up in Singapore on Tuesday where he was declared healed from the Big C by doctors.

"He's finished with all of his chemo seasions, he's been declared cancer-free, and he told them within days, he can start practicing," said Cone of the latest health condition of his long time court general.

Tenorio did a video call with Cone and the rest of the PBA Board while league officials were on a meeting to discuss the changes in the Gilas Pilipinas lineup to the 19th Southeast Asian Games.

It's been six months since Tenorio was diagnosed with cancer that kept him out of Ginebra's campaign in the season-ending Governors Cup.

It was just recently when he announced he had cancer, and now he is cancer-free. This is good news because when we hear the word 'cancer,' it usually implies a life-threatening condition that may only allow people to live for a few years or months, depending on how severe it is. Fortunately for LA, he is now healed and is back in basketball.

I believe he hasn't retired yet. Will he be back once the PBA resumes?
678  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Casimero vs Oguni - October 12 on: September 21, 2023, 04:50:58 AM
However, the burden is for Casimero to come up with big wins before he could fight Inoue, or at least Top Rank and his Japanese counterpart will be interested. So with the Oguni fight and the video resurfacing that Casimero is trying hard because he wants to fight Inoue next, it should be interesting on how Casimero will dispatch Oguni in their fight.

On paper, yes, but among the fans, Inoue dodging Casimero will have a negative impact on his legacy. Just like Mayweather, who is undeniably a great fighter and was undefeated when he retired, but people still talk more about Pacman and believe that he had a better career than Mayweather. I think in boxing, it's the fans who should be followed, and since they want to see Inoue fight Casimero, I think the champion should make that happen.
679  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading bots... do they work? on: September 20, 2023, 09:27:35 PM
Trading bots would not be invented if they don't work in the first place. Of course they are working but probably at a limited time, unlike trading manually that can offer you limitless profits as long as you have sufficient knowledge and skills to overcome the risks in trading. However, trading bots could only be working if those who operate them are highly knowledgeable and skillful as well.
680  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Is Bitcoin really risky as they say? on: September 20, 2023, 08:39:07 PM
I believe all investments have their certain risks, it’s just that bitcoin has higher risks more than others. That is the reason why bitcoin should be dealt with more caution and persistence. Otherwise, if you invest bitcoin as easy as other investments, and don’t even know how to manage the risks and overcome them, you will never be successful with bitcoin. Bitcoin is highly risky but it’s also capable to give you high and satisfying results, and at some point can make your life turns like roller coaster.
