Looks like we’re going to see Chris Paul play today for the Warriors. The season is just around the corner. I’ll have to check and see if there’s any way for me to watch the game. I suspect there isn’t, so I’ll probably have to catch the highlights on YouTube later. I’m not expecting much after Kyrie’a performance the other day, but real basketball is coming!

With this lineup, it feels like the gold is pretty much assured. They can't afford to make the same mistake of underestimating other countries, especially after not even qualifying for the gold medal round in the FIBA World Cup. No more excuses; they need to correct that mistake and win at the Olympics.
Now, as for the betting odds, I'm also curious. I think they should be around 1.10 or even lower because this lineup seems unbeatable.
That's true, it's going to be difficult to defeat them with that kind of weapon they have. Yes, could be lower. 1.05. I may not even take the risk of betting for another country if they are sending those monsters. That's a suicide, imho. Team USA authorities really made a mistake in sending mostly young guys to FIBA (not that they aren't good) and I do think they will get it right next time. Just adding Kevin Durant will probably enhance the winning chance. What more with Steph, Booker, Lebron, AD, and Beal? Germany will have a hard time with them especially if they cannot leave anyone open which will scatter the floor. Serbia might also need Jokic if they want to keep that high seed that they received in FIBA. Anyway, the Timberwolves are in a good lead again versus the Mavericks in Abu Dhabi this preseason. They might win this again. And then later, Warriors versus Lakers. Let's see how hyped the NBA will be even if it's just preseason. Finally, we are here after a long rest.

You can also make that argument for Russell Westbrook, there are huge downside on him but still the Lakers did pick him up and most likely regret their decision because at that time they acquire him, they thought that he can blend well with James and help the Lakers. And finally he was shift to the Clippers and so there are still team that are willing to take him. So the same case for Harden as well, many downside, dramatic, doesn't want to play defense, but I think there could be more teams still wanting to get his service even if he is aging or maybe lost a step or two with the 76ers. So the saga will continue this season until he found a new team and then the cycle of him and Westbrook might be the same.
At least Russ defense compared to Harden that literally just watching enemy to score on his face. Harden is not contributing the way he score during his stay on Rockets and OKC. His attitude is already a pain in the ass while he should playing as a leader due to his seniority. There’s a lot of PG out there that contributes both offense and defense while cost less dollar than him. He is just being paid high due to his performance not to the current one. I believe only few years of continuous performance like this will surely put him to Russ spot.

There is absolutely zero chance that USA would lose in the Olympics, and that's basically the whole point of it. There are other nations that keep on talking about "champions of world lol" type of things because USA sent their low value players and because of that they think that they could actually beat USA nad be better than American players.
Now that players like Lebron, Curry, Booker and all that (I think durant too) coming, and even making Embiid an American just for this, which is a big deal if you ask me, then we are going to see the real domination. I am sensing that there will be something silly for this tournament, like we may actually end up seeing like a 40 point difference just on the finals, it is going to be a show for them not a game. It is going to be basically generals vs globetrotters all tournament long, nobody could even get within 10 points of them.

I wouldn't go that far. In years past like back with the dream team yes. The world has caught up with the US. While I think they would win it with their top players it's not that they would win in the finals by 40 against another top nation. The 1992 dream team with Jordan, magic, ewing, malone, etc etc only won by 32 in the finals and that's when the US really dominated basketball.

The defense in europe or nba has changed drastically too and no team can dominate as much as before. And I even think that even the USA brings their biggest stars, there is a chance they might lose a game. Of course, the USA is the basketball powerhouse of the world and every country in the world probably has an american player in their league, even north korea, but rest of the world also caught up with them. We can also see the number of European players who are all star or just league's best players, like Jokic and Doncic.

Look, the USA probably has a solid shot with their upgraded lineup, but to say there's zero chance of them losing? That's just crazy talk, man. It's like a major diss to all those other countries that have been stepping up their basketball game just to compete with the USA. And let's not forget, Germany proved themselves big time in the FIBA World Cup recently by taking home the gold. I get it, on paper, the USA's roster looks stacked, but we'll only know if they're truly unbeatable once they hit the court. Remember, LeBron James is getting up there in years, still awesome, but not the same as before. Same goes for Steph Curry. It's all about strategy, and if the USA's nailing threes, you can bet other countries have their own tricks up their sleeves. So, let's chill a bit on the USA hype, alright? Getting too pumped up and then seeing them lose? That's a tough pill to swallow, just like what happened to China against the Philippines in FIBA WC and Asian Games.

ESPN has said they are predicting the Milwaukee Bucks to win 48.5 games next year. What do people think about that? Personally, I think they win at least 50 games next year and maybe even 60. Lillard is a beast to have on your team alongside Giannis. While it may not be as good as the Curry/Giannis duo we all want to see, it is the next best thing.

That's some serious hype going on. I mean, Lillard just joined the team, so it's a bit premature to expect them to dominate right out of the gate. We're still in the 'let's-see-how-their-chemistry-works' phase. Even though they're both superstars, there's no guarantee they'll click seamlessly. If the public's buying into that and there are betting odds for it, I'd say that's a potential trap waiting to happen.

The lines are already open on team regular season wins for this season - Bucks @1.82 for over 54.5 and @1.99 for under 54.5 on Rollbit. It looks like most bettors slightly disagrees with ESPN's prediction. I personally think that 48.5 is a conservative number. I understand that it may take time for Dame and Giannis to form that deadly chemistry but they will still manage. They won 58 regular games last season so I'll probably go with 55 to 60.

Next year and not this season? Why is that? If we are talking about the first year that Giannis and Dame will be a team mate, I'm seeing more than 50+ games winning and be on the top of the East, because that's what the Bucks has been before on top of that division. @Ziskinberg - Yes, as a Filipino what the Gilas team did to the Asian games is close to miracle, down 20 point against the Chinese, down like 5-7 points with less than 2 minutes to go, they were able to win and go to the Finals and win the Gold against Jordan. I urge everyone to check that one out on how the Gilas make a huge comeback, it's worth to watch.

If we are talking about the first year that Giannis and Dame will be a team mate, I'm seeing more than 50+ games winning and be on the top of the East, because that's what the Bucks has been before on top of that division. I suppose the competition in the East is much easier compared to the West, if that's still the format now. I heard it changed, by the way, but I haven't read the new rules. Anyway, the Bucks having Lillard is going to make them a team to beat. Their problem in the past was probably the consistent provider of offense, and with Lillard, he can space the floor well as he is very unpredictable, can shoot threes, and can drive the ball as well. Just a complete player, in my opinion. Next year or this season, I think it's the same as next year or the end of the season is when we would find out if the Bucks could really reach what we are expecting from them. @Ziskinberg - Yes, as a Filipino what the Gilas team did to the Asian games is close to miracle, down 20 point against the Chinese, down like 5-7 points with less than 2 minutes to go, they were able to win and go to the Finals and win the Gold against Jordan.

I got goosebumps during that game. I thought Gilas would lose by a big margin, but in the second half, they slowly closed the gap until they took full control. While they were still making their comeback, it felt like a do-or-die moment for me. But we were lucky that we executed our defense and offense perfectly, with perfect timing.

Now, as for the betting odds, I'm also curious. I think they should be around 1.10 or even lower because this lineup seems unbeatable.
It's been out for a while now, and with this lineup, the USA is the clear favorite to win, like a heavy favorite. But it's not as low as 1.10; the projected odds are -250, which is equivalent to 1.4 in decimal odds. If you want to check out the odds for the other teams, you can go ahead and visit the link below. https://www.covers.com/basketball/olympic-mens-basketball-oddsCountry Odds USA USA -250 Serbia Serbia +400 Canada Canada +500 France France +700 Germany Germany +800 Australia Australia +1,200 Spain Spain +1,400 Slovenia Slovenia +2,000 With that possible lineup, this odd might be a good catch for those early bettors, though we don't know if this will be finalized or there are still negotiations and changes in terms of availability of those stars that mentioned. Though for sure, there are already gamblers who took this one and already place their future bet for this possible Olympic gold medalist. If there are any changes, I don't expect them to be that significant. I mean, with a bunch of superstars on Team USA, you probably won't even notice. Those guys are all in, and it's a different ballgame this time. They're on a mission, you know? After that embarrassment at the FIBA World Cup, they're itching for redemption in the Olympics. They want to remind the world that Team USA is still the cream of the crop in the basketball business. Let's wait and see if what will be the final lineup, if all those mentioned names will be available and if they will commit to play for team U.S Like I mentioned, it won't really shake up the odds. Team USA is still gonna sit tight as the big favorite.

I think 48 wins is very doable provided the team won't suffer injuries from their starting line-up. 48 wins is a 59% win rate so it's like winning 6 out of 10. Giannis, Middleton, Lopez, and Lillard aren't known ball hogs or have big egos so I am confident that they can work together in building their chemistry well. And there's also the new ruling about player management so we're expecting these players to be present in most of their games. I haven't seen the odds of this over 48.5 wins. But if this is 1.80 or above then I am taking this risk.

Teams that have high chance ro be first seed or even win the championship do not really e d up with under 50 results. Its quite important to remember that most seasons its closer to 60 than under50. I believe a 55,5 over/under makes a lot more sense without a doubt. It could be a lot more reasonable for you to have something that can do something much better. Bucks may look great but being good in regular season and being champions are two very different things, reason for that is simply its their first year ever but I believe that we are going to end up with easier season but harder playoffs. In the end it will definitely be something ok and not a big deal at all. I still wonder what lakers will do, barring any injuries Lebron may have his last ever chance to win something, if they dont, he may never win one ever again

Yes, why not? it's already a good and very attractive odds for a Over/Under 48.5 wins for the Bucks this season. And I speculate that they could even win more games, maybe just above 50 game for them with Giannis and Dame. Of course there are a lot of factors in the background that we need to look, like the duo not getting injured or they have a slump because they have a new coach and new player coming in to fit a new role. But in any case its could be doable barring anything bad for the Bucks. They still have the core though of Middleton and Lopez and then their role players, so there's a lot of anticipation from basketball fans that they will do good this season and maybe become the number 1 rank team in the Eastern conference again.

55-60 wins is my prediction. At their start, there might be some problems due to both Lillard and Giannis trying to create chemistry but we all know these two players can also make their own plays so it's not like they need to be Stockton and Malone. All they need is other players working their defense while they are the weapons for the offense.
Oooh, that sounds inviting. And we have the same prediction. Let's not forget they still have Brook Loper and Khris Middleton so if the play is not working with Lillard then they could just switch members and try to use their old plays while they are still creating chemistry with Lillard in different ways. i.e. Practice. Oh, and their new head coach is Adrian Griffin who I think will have a different type of leadership and not be too focused on Giannis only which was done by Coach Bud.

Hey there, mate, I'm afraid you can't get those odds with over 48.5 wins because currently, it's higher than that. The odds are already out on sportsbet.io, so you can check it out for yourself. https://sportsbet.io/sports/event/basketball/usa/nba/nba-23-24-6490d1eb11281ad1f2fbdce3

Let's round it of to 49 games. 49 games? Like are you kidding me? ESPN's prediction is sh*t. They have Giannis, they have Dame, they have good defenders in Lopez, Portis, Crowder, they still have a 3rd shooter in Middleton. How can this type of roster win only 49 games. Are they saying that they will only get to at least the 4th-8th spot in the East? They've been the top team multiple times in a few years, and for me, they just got better offensively with the acquisition of Dame. Yes they lost an all-around player in Jrue, but having a sharpshooter in Dame can give headaches to other teams. He extends the defense of their opponent's teams because of his efficiency in three-point shooting, and because of this, Giannis will experience double teams lesser times than the usual, and we know how he bullies his defenders inside the paint right. If there's one thing that makes this prediction realistic, that's injuries. If Lillard "AND" Giannis unfortunately gets injured, and no one can step up, that I will agree to ESPN's prediction, but aside from that, I agree with what you said that they might get close to 60 wins or even higher.

For sure this is already settled and is currently underway this season, and it is Damian Lillard and Giannis Antetokounmpo is the favorite right now this season, and sure the Milwaukee Bucks still have Khris Middleton, Brook Lopez, and Jrue Holiday on the team for sure this will become a pretty much super team if Giannis Antetokounmpo becomes healthy in this season then they may become champion this season, Next year and not this season?
I watched the game and it was really surprising from a 20 points lead of China to the Philippines going crazy actually Justin Brownlee went Berserk in that game they managed to make a comeback with that game and with the Jordan game for sure this is the Final task so the Gilas players were really excited in getting this game a win so for sure they surely goes all out against Jordan for sure they ally outdid this one and getting a great lead for sure that they gotten a win over Jordan for sure it was an epic comeback for the Philippines getting the Gold this time, for the Asian Games,
