6621  Economy / Economics / Re: Who will be the first country to own Bitcoin reserves and publicly display them? on: December 04, 2018, 11:34:23 AM
Just like they are holding big amounts of gold and displaying amounts that I think may be approximate amounts:

Could we see this in the future? I think it's a matter of time. If a country starts accumulating a lot, at some point other countries will not be able to keep ignoring it, and I believe you can't ignore Bitcoin just like you couldn't ignore powder, you must be in. Most likely they hold some already but aren't disclosing it.

I don't think we'll ever be able to see this, cause gold is recognised in all countries, but bitcoins isn't, stealing gold is difficult but hacking a bitcoin wallet may not be difficult as someone from the inside will leak out details. Also putting up a country wallet bitcoins holding is a open invitation for hackers to demand ransom in bitcoins, as they know they won't be traced this is a very risky prospect, and hence I don't believe we'll ever see it.
6622  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Chat in gambling on: December 04, 2018, 07:22:22 AM
Good evening!

Almost every casino or Dice site already have the chat for community to connect.

I'm thinking about creating the chat functionality from scratch in order to provide other companies that don't know how to start with it.
Therefore, I'd be very grateful if your could tell me your opinion on what functionalities the chat in gambling site should have and why?

Hey in my advice you should visit popular sites, and see what their chats have, and what they don't have that can work as your usp when you intend to sell it. In my personal opinion a chat should have a colourful background, colourful font just enough for all to read with ease. Then I would love to see stickers, gifs, emojis that are gambling related, but not sure if all gambling sites will agree to host such a chat box so I would suggest you to speak with some site owners too.
6623  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🎲 NitrogenSports.eu / BetBit.com - NO SENSE of Responsible Gambling! 🎲 on: December 04, 2018, 03:59:29 AM
The websites NitrogenSports.eu and BetBit.com allow users to sign up without even providing their names, or date of birth, no verification required, and it's very easy to place bets anonymously with the use of Bitcoin.

The trouble is if someone wants to permanently self-exclude his/her account - the effectiveness of that self-exclusion is next to none!

Why?

Because a problem gambler can easily open a new account in 10 seconds, and then what effectiveness do these sites have towards those who want to stop?

When all you need is username and password - then having a self-exclusion feature in the site is good for nothing.

Hey each and every site has it's own policy whereby they decide what's best for their users, as a gambler you have a choice either to use their site or not use it. I can understand what you mean of opening new accounts, but let me warn you no site likes multiple accounts supposedly you win big, and they see you have multiple accounts you'll not get paid. There's a solution for you, check the second last faq https://www.bitdice.me/help, wherein Bitdice gives it users an option to lock their account, and has even listed sites where you could get professional help to cure your addiction.
6624  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Warning - the SEC is prosecuting promoters of scam ICOs on: December 03, 2018, 05:44:21 PM
If you are promoting a scam ICO on social media, and that probably includes Bitcoin Talk signatures, then you risk being fined twice the amount you are alleged to have received in payment. Just be careful when you are promoting products in your signatures.

This is actually good news most of the scams happens due to Ico's, and by this move Sec is cleaning up the Ico's mess. Though I'm not really sure how effective Sec will be when it comes to social media, and bitcoin talk signatures, like not all are under the jurisdiction of Sec. Then the most common excuse my account was hacked, and it's difficult to find fault with this statement. Anyway I do hope people take the clue, and avoid promoting Ico's.

6625  Economy / Economics / Re: The US dollar is gaining strength on: December 03, 2018, 02:08:49 PM
I don't think so because if the current oil politics against iran made some of the countries to trade the oild with their native currency instead of the USD so it makes the value falls little bit down but many countries still following US rules,if that changes the prices will fall too low.

There is no correlation on the rising dollar prices because of Irans oil, cause Iran is now accepting country's local currency over dollars. I believe the real reason behind the growth is the increase in the employment sector, and it's overall economy it's growing stronger. Also it's pertinent to note with the 90 day truce period between Usa and China which shall benefit both, and shall further increase dollars prices.
6626  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Market still in the early stages of Collapse, only the Stupid buy this early on: December 03, 2018, 11:06:47 AM
The collapse may last for at least Q2-Q4 2019, or it may take even more, but it doesn't necessarily mean the market will go down essentially compared to where it's now. $3000 is a good option to buy with a goal of 3-5 years.

I don't believe that Bitcoins will collapse going ahead in 2019, we're on the cusp of a bitcoin rally it's only a matter of few days. The bottoming in bitcoins has ended, and now it's finding strong resistance at 3600$ levels, some more push and we'll reclaim 5k levels. If you're not aware then do note, that Bakkt and Nasdaq bitcoins futures are launching in Q1 of 2019, which shall send bitcoins prices soaring to the moon.
6627  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis League All Thread on: December 03, 2018, 07:51:06 AM
Croatia have won their second ever Davis Cup title after Marin Cilic beat Lucas Pouille in straight sets to give Croatia a 3-1 lead over hosts and defending champions France which meant Croatia already won with the final match being a dead rubber. Croatia last won the Davis Cup in 2005 so it was good to see them win it again after 13 years. Next year the format for the Davis Cup will change so it will be interesting to see how it goes.

Croatia played well and they deserved to win the cup, I was expecting better from France but they disappointed. I don't think I'll be seeing the final match, as Croatia are already declared winners that match will just be a formality, and will lack the intensity. Croatia winning the cup after 18 years is an ominous sign for them, hopefully they'll improve going ahead.
6628  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🎲🎲 BITDICE - Super Fast Betting! BTC/ETH/LTC/DOGE/CSNO 🎲🎲 on: December 03, 2018, 03:40:06 AM
Hey as the user stated it was a issue with his isp, when he used VPN he was able to access it. I see you're using a shared office connection make sure you regularly change your passwords, and use 2fa for security purposes.

Yeah, unfortunately some of us live in countries that are always blocking websites, we actually have a whole goverment department whose job is just to keep finding sites to block. Seems such a stupid thing to do as they'll never run out of work or maybe smart thing so they will always have a job!

My office actually forces us to use their machines with VPN, partly so that we can access all sites, but partly also so that they can track where we are going. We are allowed leisure and gaming sites so we have a cool IT policy, since we spend a lot of downtime in the office.

I stick to passwords for now, no 2fa because of bad experience losing my device. I know it's a stupid reason but here, you are more likely to have your device stolen than your password. My biggest fear is losing device and then 2fa gives the thief access to all my accounts everywhere.

While it's good to see your company allows you to access all sites, and gives you enough freedom I feel going ahead you should consider 2fa considering internet hacks are common these days. I can relate to the fear of loosing devices had two of my mobiles stolen, but I yet stick to 2fa for better security. However since it's going good for you, may I suggest you keep updating your passwords then to be on a safer side precaution is always better.

Some of today's blackjack action:

Those are decent numbers for blackjack, it seems blackjack users have increased a lot in the last few months which is good to see.
6629  Economy / Speculation / Re: HODL'ers lose. That is no surprise on: December 02, 2018, 05:35:04 PM
Holding is for newbies who think without doing anything by just holding bitcoins you can become a billionaire by cashing out anytime you desire. But the truth is expert or those that made their money with crytpocurrency never hold but traded their crypto.

I completely disagree with you as holding is not just for newbies, but even experienced people cause they understand the importance of holding. The common mistake with holding is, people assume holders never sell we holders do sell, but only when the price is right. As we recently saw many people dumped their coins in looses, and many people like me decided to hodl and sell only when we're in profits. I would never indulge in trading of bitcoins as you're likely to burn your hands, due to it's volatile nature.
6630  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Is Dumping, What can we do ? on: December 02, 2018, 03:09:52 PM
What is mean reason for bitcoin dumping and can we do now, can we buy bitcoin or sales. Please advise me any one. Help me your support.

The recent dumping happened due the civil war of bitcoins cash, where bitcoins hash which was used to mine bitcoin cash which created panic in the crypto world and people dumped it. The only thing to do is to hodl if you have existing coins, or buy at every dips to have a good average. Also buy and store it in a electrum wallet so you're in control of your coins.
6631  Economy / Economics / Re: Who is really hopeful about the future of Bitcoin and why? on: December 02, 2018, 12:18:11 PM
Who is really hopeful about the future of Bitcoin and why?

I am hopeful that bitcoins shall be adopted by the masses as a payment mode, as it's quick to transact and easy to carry around. Then it's fees are significantly less than what we pay to banks or PayPal for conducting transactions, hence using bitcoins is more viable. Lastly we're in a world where internet has penetrated all corners of the world, and this has spread the word of bitcoins to all hence I feel it has a good future ahead.
6632  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you regret getting involved in crypto? on: December 02, 2018, 09:08:53 AM
Cryptocurrencies taught me that I should not be greedy, that I should care more about the future of money and also that we have solution for current financial system that is slowly collapsing.

No I do not regret my decision of investing in cryptos, I feel it was one of the best decisions of my life which helped me a lot. I was able to quit my job, take my family on a trip, and bought many gadgets thanks to the profits I reaped from bitcoins. I understand cryptos are volatile, but so is stock market, and other assets. I believe in long term holdings, hence I don't let short term fluctuations effect my judgement.
6633  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread (EPL) on: December 02, 2018, 05:28:14 AM
I'm not sure Mourinho will last until next year.
Nah, the Man Utd board is too incompetent to find a proper replacement for Mou, either that or they're satisfied with how team is performing in the CL...but the match ended 2-2 so they'll keep Mou around a bit longer.

Looking forward to the derbys tomorrow, 6 straight hours of pure entertainment.

I was baffled with the defensive line up Mourinho sent out to play against Saints, a team that is struggling to win. I know he's trying to send a message to the board get me a central defender, but honestly they should sack him now, I feel he's crossed all lines now. These are my thoughts exactly the boardroom only understands money, and by qualifying for champions league next round he's got their kitty richer. However I hope the fans backlash makes them understand, that Mourinho needs to leave he's destroying the club piece by piece.
6634  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Binance 2fa lost my phone on: December 01, 2018, 05:47:20 PM
Hello everybody! How can I disable my 2fa on binance if I lost my phone? Now I have new but I don't know how to access my account(didn't completed KYC) and don't remember my LTC addresses...only remember approximately how much money is on the account and what coins are there...I wrote to technical support about 2 hour ago but still get no answer...

Hey the first thing you should have done was to do a quick search, and followed the instructions given in this link https://support.binance.com/hc/en-us/articles/115003585911-How-to-Reset-Google-2FA. I would recommend you to write down your details, somewhere safe and they should include your seed, and keys. Also in my recommendations you'll be better with a wallet like Electrum or Paper wallet, cause if Binance suspects your account you may loose your coins as you don't have KYC done.

Site works fine for me, to whomever has some issues with restrictions yes you can also access from VPN. At least, no issues for me doing that but it still gives some slowness when especially accessing via a shared office connection like mine which is a problem since that is how I mainly access Internet Smiley But better for security in my opinion.

By the way that support email no longer works. We handle support through Intercom now so on-site live chat is the best means to reach support.

Excellent stuff. On-site live means instant attention, no waiting for emails and wondering if support reads them Smiley

I really believe that On-site live support is the standard that every gambling site should have.

It sure is convenient for users. And for the support as well considering it makes keeping track easier Smiley

Hey my bad I completely forgot about the intercom, this shall definitely help all who need quick support as many casinos users always wish for immediate support.
6636  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Satoshi Nakamoto is alive? Today he posted on p2p foundation. Your opinion? on: December 01, 2018, 11:18:03 AM
Nakamoto updated its status on his p2p foundation profile 16 hours ago. He wrote "nour". Whatever that means.

He also made friends with a man from Brazil "Wagner Tamanaha". What's your opinion?

Has anyone hacked his account?

This account is definitely hacked there's no doubt about it, someone really went to all the trouble to activate this account. I checked the meaning of nour it has various meanings like affectionate, praises for female and it also means light. I feel this is a sad prank, and is done solely with the intention of playing with the community sentiments. The real Satoshi can only prove himself by coming here, or moving his coins so I'll ignore this gimmick, and I advise you'll to do the same.

Link: https://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=Nour

New update the friend he's added has put some weird symbol status on satoshis profile, when I use Japense translator it says , "Nice to meet you. Thank you very much, I will do my best for Bitcoins from Brazil!
6637  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is ''SPORTSBET.IO'' is GOOD? on: December 01, 2018, 07:38:39 AM
I was searching for a good sports bet with crypto arena.
I sorted out two sites -- everybet.io and sportsbet.io because of their first bet refund bonuses.
I got my first bet refund at evrybet.io without even asking it (within 10 minutes) support was super cool and friendly.
But even after one and half day I got nothing in sportsbet.io and when I asked for it in chat some dude with ellon musk dp very rudely replied that I am not eligible. When I asked him why he told me he cannot have that information, lol...

STAY AWAY FROM SPORTSBET.IO

Note: they let me withdraw my winning, which I bet with high odds to become eligible for free bet.

I can provide my username and password to any member with positive trust in the forum to login into my accounts at both sites and check wether I am stating the truth.

I have heard of Sportsbet I don't they will scam you for a free bet, probably you have tipped of the system by making a duplicate account or a double bet, did you read their terms and conditions to see what you violated. The guy you're referring was he from the support, or was he a gambler like you cause if he isn't from the support then you should contact support first. I don't think you should ever share your password with someone, as all sites only allow one account per user, wait for the support to assist you.
6638  Economy / Speculation / Re: When are you buying? on: December 01, 2018, 03:45:49 AM
I wish i had lots of spare money right now, i'd buy up everything and not just bitcoin. Lots of alts are on sale as well, anything below $4000 is really cheap! Coinbase has just released OTC trading so it might not be cheap for long

I had kept my money ready to dip in and I bought some bitcoins at 3300$, I knew bitcoins bottoming was all but done from here we would see a upwards rally. I feel we're seeing an influx of good news, and you'll should consider buying now before price increases. I am not an exchange fan so I'll recommend you consider not keeping your coins on the exchange, also I hope you have only bought popular alts as many of them will barely rise.
6639  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Crypto might be our future on: November 30, 2018, 05:36:55 PM
Not being negative but I don't think it will be the "major currency". Real talk, not everyone will have access to crypto even in the future. This "Crypto Dream" will not be acheived because we still have many issues about technology all around the world. Plus not everyone can afford one.

I don't see why it won't be a major currency, if you're not aware then let me inform you internet is available in all countries now, and one can buy bitcoins online anywhere anytime. I don't understand what do you mean by not able to afford it? If you're not aware then let me inform you, that you can buy it for as low as 2$, though fees will apply. Also note you do not need to buy one full bitcoin, you can buy it in small fractions.
6640  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin and Nasdaq and NYSE on: November 30, 2018, 02:44:55 PM
Nasdaq Inc. is moving ahead with a plan to list Bitcoin futures
We can say yet another future to fool us but  Nasdaq wants to with cooperation of VanEck  ETF

The Nasdaq futures will be based off the Bitcoin’s price on numerous spot exchanges, as compiled by VanEck Associates Corp., the person said. CME uses prices from four markets, while it’s just one at Cboe

Yet another big name what want to list his own future will be NYSE
New York Stock Exchange owner Intercontinental Exchange Inc. said last week it will launch its own contracts on Jan. 24

24 January  is scheduled launch of Bakkt

Maybe that news are good prognostic for ETF approval
Whatever to think about it both Nasdaq and Nyse are big names maybe not enough big for our lovely Jame but big

https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2018-11-27/nasdaq-is-said-to-pursue-bitcoin-futures-despite-plunging-prices?utm_campaign=socialflow-organic&utm_source=twitter&utm_medium=social&utm_content=crypto

While Nasdaq has confirmed plans to launch bitcoins futures, the fate of Bitcoins ETF is not clear for now as the chairman of sec wishes to see better market surveillance and custody before approving them. I believe the twin news of Bakkt launch and Nasdaq futures can power up the prices going ahead in 2019, it's too early to say if we'll see a rally like we saw last year. However I'll agree Nasdaq is big household name, and we could see institutional investors money flowing into market via the futures route.
