6661  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: is it possible? on: September 11, 2017, 02:23:47 PM
Can bitcoin be the world's currency?

By world currency I am assuming you mean currencies that can be used by everyone in the world, without translating that currency to that country's native fiat currency.

I don't think Bitcoin will become this though, too many problems such as high transaction fees, but other altcoins might have a chance of this.

Anything is possible, but we still have a LONG ways to go if Bitcoin is to become used by everyone. Still today 99% or more of people do not know what it is.

It's possible if technological advancements were made and the countries adopted it. The problems it has now may be solved in the near future and as of now, a lot of countries are starting to accept Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies.

It would be cool though if it were. It would provide convenience for the travellers, because they won't go through the hassle of having to exchange their fiat money to the local currency of the country which they'll visit and lose a lot of money through the taxes. Also, Bitcoin would allow easy and fast transactions along with the convenience of not having to carry it around. As of now, Bitcoin may look far from becoming the world's currency but it may be possible given the circumstances at hand.
If you do see on those aspect you would able to say that bitcoin would really be considered on those sectors but thinking off that all things should really be regulated and knowing bitcoin its a decentralized thing and making it as a main currency.I would say its really an impossible thing to happen. No matter how bitcoin would progress or be successful it would really just still remain on its place on where its just a new way payment system and wont really replaced any strong local fiat currencies on any country.
6662  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Online wallet on: September 11, 2017, 02:02:08 PM
I just used Electrum wallet. They are very lightweight and you don't need to download the full nodes to be able to get it to function. You can also change fees as well. For me this is the best wallet beside the Core and Blockchain.info. Of course with Electrum, you have the control of your seed. So in case, you can recover your wallet. Just be careful and store your seed somewhere else and have it printed for safe keeping.
This is what im using now.I would choose Electrum than on blockchain.info and yes its lite and you wont need to download all blockchain. The thing i do like on this wallet is that you can able to get your privatekeys. You can import too but this thing would depend on op's preference since we do have different taste when it comes into things. He must try blockchain or electrum and select what wallet suits him.
6663  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Should I convert my bitcoin to Ethereum? on: September 11, 2017, 01:16:16 PM
There are a lot of coins to put your investment to. Ethereum is one promising altcoin that you can lean on. It is on your verdict if you wanted to turn it to bitcoin. But I think bitcoin is more promising than Ethereum.
Both coins are good and if you do have the money, why not invest on both coins? These coins are promising and i cant really compare these two since they are on different platform which i cant see any competitions on here. Prices of bitcoin as of now is dropping same as ETH too which we should see as the best time to buy cheaper coins because later on prices would really recover.
6664  Economy / Speculation / Re: Do you think the price will DROP MORE? on: September 11, 2017, 12:38:47 PM
Hi,

Do you think the price will DROP MORE?
Today every big news website talking about the CHINA BAN.

- wall street journal and many others

What do tou think?

maybe will drop more, because many media make news about China's ban
because more that spreads the information, will make panic for weak hands
Weak hands would really sell off their coins because of those news but somehow a good move if you do purchase your coins on lower prices back in the past.As long you are selling on profits then the best time to do now is to sell them and secure profits as you can because drop will really happen later on which its an event not to be worried off but we should see this as an opportunity to buyback more cheaper coins.
6665  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Jesus Coin on: September 10, 2017, 04:04:46 PM
This man can save the crypto world better than the jesuscoin:
https://coinmarketcap.com/assets/president-trump/
I hardly laugh on what you have commented on here buddy Smiley haha! but well going back into the topic this coin is quiet old already since i have seen the thread is 3 years already so the same on the coin too. What the hell they do make use of the name of the Lord? Jesuscoin? They shouldnt do this thing, there are lots of names to be created and this name shouldnt really be used for the sake of money.Just my opinion though.
6666  Economy / Economics / Re: panic selling on: September 10, 2017, 03:31:01 PM
What if somebody will make a huge dump and sell it all the way to earn some profits because of this rally in bitcoin, and someone sees it and do that same thing. Is there any effect on bitcoin when someone to this,?
If that is going to happen the price of the bitcoin will go down.
It would depend because seeing there are different types of investors or holders which do have a strong hand and a weaker hand or some just riding on the waves but wisely do wait for the right opportunity to buy back later on.I do know that theres always a possibility that bitcoins price would dump but this thing would really be a hard thing because people are different when it comes into their view into bitcoin.
6667  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Is there a way to raise money through public fundraising for sick friend? on: September 10, 2017, 01:49:11 PM
You can ask bloggers to make your friend a blog about him/herself. The struggles and if possible the biography of your friend should be on that blog. And once it was created, you can just simply spread it and advertise it everywhere with the use of social media. It's a big help as most of the time we are staying at social medias just surfing out what's happening in this world.
Meehh… this won’t be an easy thing to do. There are lots of criminals who pretend their sick just to make quick money, due to their laziness. I’ve even came across someone claiming to be a refugee due to money. Yes there are truthful people, but the bad eggs are too many to the extent you can’t tell the good ones.
This is true, its really hard to trust people nowadays since most people do things which isnt really true at all for the sake of money and as you said its hard to find out which ones who tell the truth or not.Regarding on this fund raising on this forum i would say it would really be hard to convince people on this forum because there are lots of scam attempts on this one.
6668  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin as salary for a regular job? on: September 10, 2017, 12:46:14 PM
Would you accept bitcoin as your salary in your profession, especially if you work in other country?

For me yes I will accept bitcoin because we can exchange it in our local currency.

I wont accept such thing since you cant do anything about it when the price do drops on bitcoin unlike on having our local fiat which do have fix price. Its much better to accept the traditional ways since we can able to decide if we do invest on some things.Making partitions depending on priorities together with savings and investments.Volatile price is the main hindrance for such thing to be accepted.
6669  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Investing in ICO, still promising? on: September 10, 2017, 11:56:18 AM
I am a person that gains profit from investing in ICOs but now I'm having second thoughts. I know some ICOs are potential scam so I am really picky to where I put my money.
Anyway, considering with what happened to Ethereum price and with the nearing Aigist 1, do you guys think that it will still be profitable to invest on ICOs mostly on ERC20 tokens and those accepting btc payments?
i think its still promising, but not as much as before, no one knows where will the market go, and many projects are really scams, so better quit as you porfits
This is true, when we do compare on last years behavior regarding on ICO then i would say its much better on those years compared as of now because there are lots of project do pop out from nowhere which it does really give us a hard time on selecting which projects would really succeed unlike before we can able to identify since they are only small on quantity which would easy to choose when you do compare them.
6670  Economy / Economics / Re: 1Bitcoin as a gift from someone on: September 10, 2017, 11:36:55 AM
If you be given a gift of 1BTC by someone and for you this amount is already something you did not expect. Will you sell your bitcoin right away and convert it into cash or just keep it for a better price to come or invest it or what?
First and foremost if anyone is going to give a gift which is over $4000 will be a special gift and since this is a hypothetical question and it all depends upon my needs,if i need the money right away i might sell off some coins if not i will diversify or save for the future ,it all depends upon the market situation and my needs the moment i get the gift .
It would really depend on the situation on that moment if you do really need money and as you said $4000 is really much for me on my side which i can say that there are lots of thing i can able to do on those amounts. If im given then i would surely keep some of those amounts or depend if i do choose to store up instead if i do have still the money to spend on.
6671  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What's the best way to sell 100k without dumping on the market? on: September 10, 2017, 10:47:47 AM
As others have said, it is impossible to gauge how far 100k will affect the value of any coin without knowing the overall market volume. How many of your coin are currently in circulation and what is the cap of total coins you are trading? How long has the coin existed? What is the daily amount currently being traded for X coin?
Depending on the coins marketcap and the supply is circulated but talking about $100k usd or what he does mean since he didnt elaborate whats on that 100k.Then i would say it wont really be that big amounts to be worried. If you do have a problems on withdrawing it then you have no choice but to follow to their rules and if not then you do withdraw it on staggard basis basing on the maximum per day for an unverified account.
6672  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is your biggest regrets in cryptocurrency? on: September 08, 2017, 07:12:51 AM
There are common regrets, especially not get in early.

I would say today is still early time to get in. Most of my friends/acquaintances still have no idea about Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies. I will not miss this chance and regret in the future.
This is really the common regrets on most people which they dont get early as they can on engaging in to cryptocurrencies which this cant really be avoided because no one really knows on what would happen on future years to come.No man can able to predict on what would be the price ahead this is why its never been to late to cope up those mistakes in the past which this is the exact time to get in.
6673  Economy / Services / Re: Help me find a job! (JR. MEMBER) on: September 08, 2017, 06:21:40 AM
Can someone help me to find a job? I'm currently Jr. Member Smiley
Job? Then what is your skills related on online works? Usually most jobs here do need designing, developing, coding skills but i do see that you are not talking on those field but you are pertaining for sure about signature campaigns.Am i right? Your rank isnt sufficient to work and wont really generate some good amounts of satoshis. If i were you if you do have the funds better to go on trading.
6674  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Will People Buy This ? on: September 08, 2017, 03:39:02 AM
Hi :

Through my website & software (not launched yet), I am making it possible for users located in US, Britain, Canada & Australia to earn high-$xxx/month to mid-xxxx/month with some very basic online PART-TIME works. To be able to do that each user in US, Britain, Canada & Australia will have to pay a REFUNDABLE $1.99 to us. This $1.99 will be spent on utilities to enable us to pay the users for their work done as mentioned above and this $1.99 will later be fully refunded along with some cool surprising gifts.

Do you think that users will pay this $1.99 ?

Thanks for your answer in advance,

SJD
No one would give free money on here specially to a thing which didnt even tried to elaborate what kind of possible job you would take. $2 might not be big but people would really be skeptical on this one.Users would not really willing to pay this fee into a thing which doest have any guarantee and just been said or proposed on some random guy on the net.
6675  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If you have some BTCs, why not have some Gold too? on: September 08, 2017, 03:13:18 AM
They all beautiful.
If i do have the money, why not? I do have some trust on gold investment too specially for long term. Both are good  in your investments. If i do have the capability then i would go for 50:50 ration on my funds.Bitcoin and Gold would really be a good tandem if you do seek for profits and if its possible you can make or put money on other projects too.Diversification would be at its best.

6677  Economy / Economics / Re: If Bitcoin had a stable price, would it still be as popular? on: September 07, 2017, 02:50:33 PM
we have many coin have stable price. like usdt. and it still not popular
A nice brief reply! Stability is not the factor that makes you popular among cryptocurrencies. There are many other things that count like the profit generating potential of the coin, the team associated with the project etc. stability even reduces the popularity of the coins because people want immediate profits.
If you are a trader or an investor then stability wont really matter at all and even we do like the unstable prices of those coins because we do know we can able to make money on those movements. If you are a merchant which do have a business and do tend to accept bitcoin then stability would really be your main concern on here because we wont really like to see our money is depreciating.
6678  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Coinbase sees complaints grow on: September 07, 2017, 02:19:04 PM
I use Coinbase frequently and never had any problem.

Scaling a business can be quite difficult, they have a lot of money to do it and I think they're handling it very well.

They are not handling it well at all.

If scaling was an issue for them then they should have never added support for Ethereum and Litecoin, especially when their customer support is totally unresponsive. That is just adding more problems to an already problematic business.

A cover up for a hack is possible, but not likely.

I think it's just that the company is not working hard enough. Support can easily solve more tickets if they put the effort into it, and the CEO can easily get more support if they need it.
If they would able to put up more manpower then it would really be a great step up for them since people do usually seek out on a service on having a responsive and active support which we do really like.
Adding up another coins would really pile up their work even more which to be expected to have some delays again.Even on having bitcoin alone they are already showing unresponsiveness which is not really good for their company.
6679  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: what do you think about pump and dump? on: September 07, 2017, 01:52:59 PM
what do you think about pump and dump?  did you ever trade on pump and dump event? can you give few tips for how to make money from this events? what i need to look for?
Pump and dump is something normal on in digital coins, i don't find something wrong with it, the way to make money from condition pump and dump we must know the time, when the price will be pumped and when the price will be dumped, so we can buy the coins on the dumping condition and sell the coins on pumping condition, to know about it we must understand about the analisys technical before buy and sell the coins.
If you do really got his point then for sure you would able to find out that hes pertaining on pump and dump groups not actually on the literal pump and dump on coins prices. Its just really normal for coins to have those kind of scenarios because prices do really behave on that way depending on the buyers and sellers but talking into pumps and dump groups then it is an another story and i would say theres really wrong with these guys since they do use other people to secure profits.
6680  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: BE aware Fake MyEthWallet! on: September 07, 2017, 01:30:43 PM
be carefull guys on people who's using fake myethwallet.
i don't know about this Slackbot.
and hes giving me a fake MyEtherWallet site.

[mod note: bellow is a phishing link. BEWARE. DO NOT ATTEMPT TO LOGIN VIA SAID LINK]
notice the spelling guys ..

I bookmarked my eth wallet web site. Suggest you guys to do so, protect our money from fishing website.
This is the thing i do now on which i do really bookmarked the legit myetherwallet.com site which i can easily click it up in my browser without minding any links which do been given online. If you do have noob eyes you would really pass those wrong spelling on the link but if you do have the habit on doublechecking anytime then you would surely notice. This is why we should not really believe so easily on those things which we do see suspicious.Theres no easy money on here.
