6741  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [BOXING] Logan Paul vs Mike Tyson on: December 20, 2021, 07:58:56 PM
Most fans are waiting to whatever surprise Tyson will bring to add more entertainment to this fight. Roll Eyes Grin
Yes.

It's much waiting for that part of Tyson and not really on Logan if he's going to beat him or not. What we're waiting for is what Tyson would do on his end.

There could be a big blow that will make Logan down or whatever it is that would surprise everyone and at the same time becomes entertained.
I'm quite unimpressed about Logan Paul's showmanship lately, he seems like slacking in his training schedules as there's just 2 months left to prepare before their fight. As we can see in Logan's podcasts and social media posts, he's always partying, drinking and stuff. He might already know that what he's doing in his lifestyle now might come back and bounce to him prior to the fight this coming February 2022.
As for Mike, we can see thar he's steadily preparing and training bout this fight, he's much more excited about this face off than his opponent Logan Paul. We'll see how this end soon.
Just for some assumption then i wont be surprised on whats up on Logans mind that why would take hard in terms of training if he knows that he cant win no matter what?
He would rather just stick out his ass up on the things that he do want to do like those typical partying and other hobbies that he had that dont really connect out with
those training things because he do knows that even if he lost 100% he do still earn money thats why he dont really care that much.He do just need to hype it
all over to the roof and those bucks would just flow into his pocket.

It might not even be that he thinks he can't win no matter what.  Maybe he realizes that if he were to beat Mike Tyson that wouldn't make him any friends.  I actually think getting KO'd by Mike Tyson would be the best thing that could happen to Logan's career.  Everybody loves Mike and everybody hates Logan.  If he did manage to somehow knock out an old man / boxing legend / favorite of the people, I could see it leading to him being trolled and labeled as the bad guy forever.  I don't think that's what he wants.  Maybe that's why if this fight is going to be real, he's sandbagging himself by partying instead of training.

What a great comeback from DeRozan. He's the leading scorer for the bulls.

When I saw the box score that was the first thing that came to my mind.  He must be on cloud nine right now.  I know it was just a regular season game and the Lakers are down some important pieces, but still.  All those years of torment in the playoffs from LeBron James when DeRozan was on the Raptors...  Getting this win and outplaying him must feel damn good.  Somewhere DeRozan is on the phone with his old Toronto buddy Lowry laughing about what took place tonight.
6743  Economy / Gambling / Re: Stake.com - 2 Million+ in Xmas Giveaways | Watford & UFC Partner ⚽ 🥊 on: December 19, 2021, 10:19:07 PM
I had an account (which is closed) on Stake.com where I was Platinum 3 and am at 83% to Platinum IV and at that time I had no idea that you could get VIP benefits from a VIP Host something I did not know anything about . I have wasted a lot that time.

Why was your account closed?  It seems like after putting in so much effort to reach a level of being able to claim VIP rewards, you wouldn't want to just close the account.  It makes me think there was some sort of wrongdoing on your part or maybe you just decided you don't want to gamble anymore and asked that the account be closed.  In either scenario, I'm not sure why you'd now think it should be reopened with the same level of rewards.  Please explain this a little better, as I think the WHY you account was closed is probably an important detail here.
6744  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Jake Paul vs Tyron Woodley 2 - December 18 on: December 19, 2021, 10:14:56 PM
That was one hell of a knockout highlight.  Looks like Woodley was gassed pretty bad at that point.  This is why you don't take a fight at the last minute...

Now it's all about who is next...  Masvidal got called out but seems to only want to MMA, which I was surprised to see a great fighter basically cower from a challenge in the ring.  That says something about what Paul is doing and that he's getting respect from real fighters now.

Le'Veon Bell wanting to be the next to fight Paul seems intriguing to me.  Supposedly Bell is a great fighter and a hell of an athlete.  I'd like to see that fight.  I'd rather see him fight a real boxer at this point though, or at least a non-retired fighter of some kind.
6745  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: December 19, 2021, 07:54:16 PM
There was a time when the entire NBA community looked forward to the matchup of the Bulls vs Lakers.  I guess even as great as those two teams are, it is clear they are no dynasties.  You wouldn't have even known today's matchup was going on if you didn't look at the schedule...  Nevertheless, tonight's game is on NBATV and I'm not even sure who's playing these days with all the covid false positives and whatever other nonsense is keeping guys out of games this year.  I think it probably doesn't matter who is out anyway.  The Bulls are playing great basketball and the Lakers are trying to get by...
6746  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Is the World in the Beginning Stages of World War 3? Are you #prepped? on: December 19, 2021, 09:12:48 AM
Be ready for anything is just good advice. In finance you call it diversification of assets.

I don’t see the beginning of world war 3 at all though. If anything governments have shown that they’re trying to work together on this pandemic situation. Maybe if a couple countries banned together refusing vaccines for their citizens then you’d have some tension…

FYI - put the Bitcoin whitepaper on as many websites/ publications as you can  Smiley

It is very strange that the man who claims to have written the whitepaper would want it removed from the internet.  Almost like maybe he didn't write it?  I couldn't imagine that the person who wrote that document would ever be against it being displayed everywhere.  You would assume the exact opposite would be true.  This has been quite the eye opener for those of us who have gone out of our way to avoid legal trouble, as seeing someone lie and manipulate the court system for their own sick reasons using money and lawyers is a good behind the scenes look at how the world works.

It's almost as if there is no trial

It is shocking that despite all the interest from the public on this case, the media is still brushing it under the rug.  It's almost as if there's extremely wealthy and powerful people that own the media companies and don't want them covering this.  With all the garbage the media is throwing at us, what possible sense in the world does it make that we aren't seeing this case plastered on every channel like the OJ trial?  None.  I hope there are a hundred documentaries that come out slamming every person involved who tried to cover this up.  Nowadays you can get cancelled for saying something as commonsense as all lives matter, but get a few hundred 13 year olds to sleep with rich people and you get those responsible for cancel culture suddenly turning a blind eye.  Crazy.
6749  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: December 18, 2021, 08:05:10 AM
The Lakers vs Timberwolves game today is crowded both in the court and the online stream again. Hope to see Isiah Thomas doing his best to regain his credibility and somehow get an extension or sign in by other teams. But the Minnesota is not an easy opponents especially when the rookie Edwards is playing well, in his last game he just managed to score 30+ points, if they can stop him in the early quarters, that would be good advantage for the Lakers.

But Davis seems out for the rest of the game after a possible injury, need more updates on this one.

That game was ugly.  Felt like the Lakers were being bullied out there.  Twitter is trending with the topic of trading Anthony Davis.  It won't happen of course but it shows that the fans are fed up with him being injured and not dominating games.  I think he should sit out for a while and let Dwight Howard take his minutes.  That's the only way they're winning a championship in my opinion.

Did you see Patrick Beverly's antics in the second quarter?  Man he's annoying, but it's crazy seeing hall of famers getting taunted like that.

Same. I refuse to use my house’s heater and my GPUs alone aren’t doing the job of keeping me nice and toasty. Could use a little more hashing so I can get back to basketball shorts and a class-a instead of a hood tuxedo. Smiley

Don’t be prudish with those assembly/shipping pics. We need some miner pr0n.

It's a good decision by Nets to bring Kyrie back. I hope he's in shape to play a lot of minutes and obedient enough to follow health protocols in place even if he's still unvaccinated.

Let's see if the team gets a better record if he's on the game and when he's not.

It's not a decision that the Nets do as they are always welcome to Kyrie anytime. It's Kyrie's decision to play for I don't know the reason why he become interested now. It's good that he's now coming back. I don't understand why he should not play for most games where there are only 3 states that do have a rule of restricting a person to play in-game activities unvaccinated.

It was a team decision.  The Nets made the decision to try and get Kyrie to crack.  After NJ lifted the rules that would have kept Kyrie from the practice facilities, they still would not let him return for fear that he might infect the team or something...  Now that it's clear the vaccine doesn't stop transmission there was no reason why Kyrie shouldn't be allowed to play road games.  The Nets believe this, so Kyrie is back.  I'm sure Kevin Durant probably let them know he was getting a little fed up with the decision and wanted to start getting some minutes with Kyrie on the floor.  Now the narrative will become the Nets road stats vs their home stats to see just how much value Kyrie adds to the team.

The fact we are at historical widest discount is telling us ETF conversion appear to be priced to happen far in the future.

Seems like a great opportunity for anyone who sold the peaks to get funds into their retirement accounts.  I've always avoided this fund, because why not just own Bitcoin...  However, seeing this premium grow and knowing that a spot ETF is only a matter of time, it's beginning to look like an attractive option.  For those who believe that Bitcoin is going to go up from here it seems like this might not be the worst spot to nibble a bit on GBTC as opposed to buying spot, especially if as mentioned, you're doing it with tax sheltered accounts.

It's a good decision by Nets to bring Kyrie back.

Ya, it’s nice he won’t be losing out on so much money and so many games from his legacy building career as a result of his personal beliefs. He showed a lot of heart leaving so much money on the table and risking being blackballed from a career he worked his whole life for in order to stand behind what he believed. I still think he’s a bit crazy, but he has my respect.
6754  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: What is it with mining in a Tesla? on: December 17, 2021, 10:45:56 PM
-I know it might be a waste of your time explaining to me but at least if you know or understand it that fast not like me who's IQ is not that good but sharing about how could this be efficient and possible as you can see they are doing it?

It's efficient because he was planning on using a free unlimited supercharging plan, so he could fill up, drive home, leave the rig mining on the battery come back again and charge the battery for free. Tesla has since then phased out the unlimited free plan for everyone unless you had a lifetime one and they are just doing random promos right now and so probably a new buyer will not have this advantage. But this is just theory.

Whenever anybody claims to have free power I usually put that to the test and it's proven to not be true fairly quickly.  I can't tell you how many people I've known who say they have free power and then hook up a few miners and things quickly change.  Landlords freak out at sudden 4 figure electricity bills and investigate...  Businesses change their plans.  I guess it's good while it lasts, but typically ends up with a worse deal going forward.  Not just mining, but a good example of why we can't have nice things.
6755  Other / Politics & Society / Re: When will the vaccination end? on: December 17, 2021, 07:42:40 PM
End?  LOL...  Imagine the government ending a temporary program...  Once you give them an inch you're never getting your mile back.  I refuse to take one single step down a path of regular injections from the government.  "Two weeks to flatten the curve" suddenly turned into, "winter of illness, death" for those who don't get the vaccine.  Even in the face of a diminishing threat, the government is doubling down on the fearmongering.  Not to mention the vaccine has shown that it doesn't stop the spread, so the entire thing is a bad joke on the human population to the tune of trillions of dollars wasted.
6756  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: December 17, 2021, 12:25:40 AM
Not sure about the chemistry though, they are still in the 6 place in the West but winning 3 straight already. But the big test for the Lakers is to face the top 3 teams and see if the chemistry is there, otherwise they are good only to win games against a low team, just saying. And they almost lost to a team without their best player, so I wouldn't say this is a good gauge about their chemistry.
Yeah, the Lakers still need to improve their team chemistry. However, it's worth noting that they began to play much better after LeBron's full recovery from injury. By the way, there is also news that the Lakers decided to sign a 10-day contract with Isaiah Thomas. Honestly, I'm happy for him because he finally has the opportunity to return to the NBA. Let's hope coach Vogel will allow him to prove himself on the court.

I was happy to hear he got signed and will get another chance in the nba. He deserved it after balling out in the G league. Lance Stephenson has been putting up some numbers in an attempt at a comeback also. With the Lakers having some issues getting it together I wouldn’t be surprised to see something crazy happen with their roster soon.
6757  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: December 16, 2021, 04:09:37 AM
Was a close game. More than it should have been with no Luka. The 2 last second shots to first send it into overtime and then to win the game were exciting to watch. Westbrook seemed like he was intentionally passing up shots at the end of the fourth and overtime. I think he was making a point to over pass after the trade rumors and saying he’s a ball hog. Something was off… Luckily it worked out for them tonight. AD back out there with a broken finger too… Whatever gets a Lakers win.
6758  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: December 16, 2021, 12:14:19 AM
I'm seeing a lot of signs of long term weakness and some signs of short term strength in the market.  This is usually the opposite of what I'm used to seeing.  I'd remain cautious here.  Price models are starting to break and the focus is turning to things like NFTs and coin burns while DeFi is still going strong even after the latest crash.  There isn't a whole lot of reason to be bullish on Bitcoin here in my opinion, but we haven't seen the multiyear blow off top that we typically see, so that remains the hope for a target.  I think it would be wise to have an exit plan ready if the right opportunity presents itself and starting to familiarize yourself with ways to earn a return from your crypto other than by 'price go up' might be a good idea.

There is a nice game tonight: Dallas Mavericks - LA Lakers. Lakers are going to be my favourite for this game obviously but I won't be surprised to see Mavericks winning this game also. Because this is a close game actually if we take their positions in their conference into account right now. For Lakers, A. Davis's condition is going to be clear right before the game. If he doesn't play, Lebron and Westbrook will have the most of the responsibility for this game.

But the Mavericks is without their number one player, Luka Doncic. So it's hard to win against Lebron and Westbrook without your top player in the roster. Maybe they can stay for the first few quarters before Lebron and company take a comfortable lead. So it doesn't matter if AD will sit or play this game. Lakers has all the advantage as they will have to deal with KP only.

Without Luka it does seem like the Lakers should be able to easily win this one.  It looks like the Mavs even have the edge on the sportsbook I'm looking at, so it could be a nice little opportunity to get a W with some good odds for the gambling folks out there.  I won't be able to place a bet on this one unfortunately, but I will have the game on in the background.  Nice whenever you get to watch a game on ESPN.  Their streaming services are head and shoulders better quality than the alternatives out there...
