6781  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][GNT] Golem Project - The world’s most powerful supercomputer on: September 06, 2017, 02:55:16 PM
Well its been a while since there was any real news regarding Golem
This airdrop thing I will have to look a little more into.

As an aside and relating to the recent little price increase, would the
China ICO ban be what is driving this? as in people selling off their dodgy
coins and entering into other projects which are more legitimate looking?
6782  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [ICO] DIMCOIN The Future Of Equity on the Blockchain on: September 06, 2017, 02:34:18 PM
To all investors who invested with XEM through exchanges.

Hi Dimcoin, I sent some NEM via my nano wallet but since last week
My nano wallet is not showing my transaction, in fact I am getting
a totally blank screen, also my deptwallet has not been populated yet?
6783  Economy / Economics / Re: Maybe governments can stop bitcoin after all on: September 06, 2017, 02:08:29 PM
Maybe governments can stop Bitcoin, But do they want to?
There are so many famous people using bitcoin and possibly
some politicians around the world who have Bitcoin, they will
not want to see it banned or outlawed.

Actually there was a thread recently stating that some
government officials from some country had Bitcoin as part of
his investment [apologies for the vagueness]

Anyway 2017 is a year where we have seen Japan and Australia
recognise Bitcoin as a form of payment, which means a degree
of regulation and in Australias case they are attempting to
solve the double taxation there, [something I am not familiar with!]
and they are also looking to attract digital currency industry
into the country while at the same time try to clean up the
"illegal" side of crypto.

We recently see Vietnam recognising Bitcoin positively as well as
South Korea, China [apart from ICO Bans] and Russia as well as others.

So this has been a positive year, there is a lot more to do and to happen!!

apologies I hope I didnt go off topic Huh?
6784  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Market cap of BTC passes that of PayPal on: September 06, 2017, 10:37:14 AM
That's really a great news to see that we are gaining momentum but still, this is just a single step towards global crypto based economy. Here is the summary of transaction volume of various payment methods, even though the data is old but still it gives a little idea of where we stand today and there is a lot more to achieve.

I am sure that in next 10 years Bitcoin will be number 1 choice for the worldwide payment transfers.

Great chart and a nice to see visually where we are at in comparison
to others. What would make a huge difference is if more online marketplaces
like EBAY would initiate an option to pay with Bitcoin. Buyers and sellers who
are not currently using Bitcoin would possibly consider entering the market.
6785  Economy / Economics / Re: A wise strategy for your bitcoin on: September 06, 2017, 06:26:26 AM
Its certainlg all about timing and being
Able to buy bitcoin when the price falls like
We just had in the last 24 hours, but you
Have to be checking at least every 12 hours.
A lot can change in 12 bitcoin hours.
6786  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: And We Are Back! on: September 06, 2017, 06:19:04 AM
"And we are back" erm yea of course we are
Bitcoin started recovering about 12 hours ago!
i wonder how many people are now hitting
themselves on the head for selling and waking up now
to a price higher than they sold at  Roll Eyes

panic over, nothing to see, move along
6787  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Suddenly, Bitcoin Breaks into UK Housing Market as Down Payment on: September 05, 2017, 04:22:43 PM
Good news for bitcoin for sure ! and great to see more adoption too.

Im not sure what exactly the Co-living thing is, if anyone wants to read about "the collective"
that is mentioned in the article here is their site> https://www.thecollective.co.uk/our-story

I am reading through their story get a better handle on it.
They might be accepting Bitcoin but more interestingly, is anyone spending with them?
6788  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The DEATH of Bitcoin Surfaces Again on: September 05, 2017, 04:13:44 PM
"The DEATH of Bitcoin Surfaces Again"

the answer is YES and NO

Yes, the FUD has spread and people are buying the low's while
others are panicking and selling in cast they are left holding
worthless coinage.

No, its not the death of Bitcoin, of course its going to react to
the panic selling as above but will [has] bounce back from all the
reactive buying of the lows

simple!  Grin
6789  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: the relationship between China's ban on ico and market prices on: September 05, 2017, 10:32:11 AM
I think it might be good for new positive legitimate innovations in
cryptocurrency and hopefully they will be able to get proper investments.

The only thing is we dont necessarily want "regulation" but if we
as a crypto community cannot regulate it ourselves, then this will happen.
6790  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ICO is officially banned in China !!! on: September 05, 2017, 08:32:15 AM
i see now on bittrex that the old reliable's are making a recovery
from the China ICO news.
The sad thing about this is that even the really good ICO's will be
affected by the China ban,
There will probably be a "Legitmate" way to create new positive
Blockchain technologies without the need for an ICO
6791  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The Government Must be Winning! on: September 05, 2017, 08:22:48 AM
We do not need just the governments to be enemies to Bitcoiners. Scammers, bad developers, thieves, hackers, aggressive market manipulators, day traders/scalpers and pump and dump groups are also the enemies within. Unless we can curb all the bad influences inside of Bitcoin and Altcoin spaces, do not think for one moment that all this will be left so unregulated and unnoticed. If we cannot self regulate our actions to act responsibly and not be so utterly ruthless and selfish in our quest for wealth creation, then we will end up being regulated by bigger forces than us.

good analysis IMO, the Bitcoin and Crypto decentralisation and
unregulation is proving to be its negative feature instead of its
positive one. Sometimes it feels like we are all left to our own
devices and anything goes. Now we have a major world government
stepping in to a degree to try and regulate of sorts a portion
of the chaos.
6792  Economy / Speculation / Re: Made a buy order for $475 for 1 bitcoin on: September 04, 2017, 03:32:16 PM
I think the panic in the market now from the recent China ICO news
can only benefit in the medium to long term Bitcoin and the other "long"
established currencies, Ethereum, Litecoin, Dash, Monero.
6793  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Moneyless Society on: September 04, 2017, 03:20:51 PM
switch to something like communism!
where the state provides you will all you need and nothing else :-)

The barter system worked at the time because you would barter
an item for something you "Needed" and the other party
"Needed" what you were bartering.

we are edging ever closer to a kind of money-less society or cashless
society anyway, I rarely use "Cash" anymore, its all online or plastic,
paying bills, transferring funds and buying goods with a card.

I believe the newer generations will pick up crypto quicker because of this.
6794  Economy / Investor-based games / Re: Bitpetite tumbler on: September 04, 2017, 09:27:18 AM
Someone mentioned this site to me at the weekend
and of course if you want to double check anything
about Crypto . . . you have to visit BCT! Thanks for
the heads up all, I think I will be steering clear  Wink
6795  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Jibrel Network | Putting traditional financial assets on-chain on: September 04, 2017, 06:49:24 AM
I think I can spare my few extra EThereum on this project . Quite impressive as it tackles on platforms for tokenizing real-life assets. I am going to keep an eye on Jibrel .

For sure, this has good potential, there should be
More activity on the lead into the ICO on september the 25th
6796  Economy / Services / Re: Contest ended * Logo Contest * 0.015btc * Escrow Confirmed * on: September 01, 2017, 08:34:29 PM
Good result, very well done to LogoGuy, good professional looking design
and thank you to Keizer010 for posting the contest!
6797  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: So I sold my BCC ... on: September 01, 2017, 11:32:00 AM
I firmly believe that almost all of the airdrop BCH will end up as BTC in the long run.
We are seeing BTC climbing steadily while BCH had remained king of static with
even a little fall back.

I dont think its a good thing either to keep forking and yes there is another fork
scheduled for November I believe.
6798  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Alternative for Bounty Payments on: September 01, 2017, 10:14:06 AM
I do not know anyone who uses ltc, but maybe in the future.
I think paying a gift with ltc is a great idea, we see the price of ltc in the market is quite high and this coin is stable.

Personally I dont know anyone who uses Bitcoin or Litecoin
but I have both! Litecoin I thought would be another way
to receive a bounty. I have also noticed on different signature
campaigns where the manager has to reduce the rewards
as the price of Bitcoin rises, Which I dont dispute because
I know there are budgets to adhere to etc.
6799  Economy / Services / Re: Logo Contest * 0.015btc * Escrow Confirmed * Deadline Dd/Mm 01-09-2017 on: September 01, 2017, 09:23:28 AM
Ok some very good designs posted here now. I believe today marks the end of submissions
and the winner should be announced soon although possibly not today though?
6800  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Buying Crypto with Paypal on: August 31, 2017, 04:30:47 PM
