681  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which alts to buy? on: December 27, 2018, 05:36:12 PM
Buying alts in this long bearish market is very similar to gambling, and it's addictive. You need to constantly research and watch the trends to earn money; to know when to buy or to sell. Patience is the key.
682  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Just heard of Bitcoin, teach me. on: December 27, 2018, 05:33:21 PM
Crypto is a crazy market. Lots of volatility and uncertainty. But if that's your sort of thing, throw a few dollars in the game and see what happens. Never invest more than you can afford to lose. Rule 1.
683  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: With a booming on 2017 and difficult time on 2018, will Bitcoin recover on 2019? on: December 26, 2018, 10:30:17 PM
Unfortunately Nostradamus is not online to answer to your question 😊

We are still in a long bearish trend since almost an entire year. As market's trends are cyclical, the history says that bulls will come back sooner or later, but nobody knows if this will happen in 2019.
684  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I've just put ALL my student savings into TURTLECOIN ($50K) on: December 26, 2018, 10:14:59 PM
Only time will tell if you made a good decision or not. However, investing a lot of money in one single option is quite risky due to market's volatility.

One golden rule in cryto is to never invest more than you can afford to lose. If you are not Bill Gates, 50k $ is a lot of money, mate. Hope your turtles will have a bright future.a
685  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Are we still "Early Adopters"? on: December 26, 2018, 10:07:52 PM
Not really. Early adopters are the ones who have bought Btc before 2016 when price has raised significantly.

If we compare ourselves with people who will buy Btc in 2025 we might be seen as early adopters, too. 😊
686  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Don't quit investing on: December 25, 2018, 08:34:53 PM
Investing in cryto can be very stressful if you are not experienced as you might buy high and sell low (usually due to pnic sell "disease).

However, investing monthly and only amounts you can afford to risk is the best option as nobody knows for sure when a buttom is reached or when the price will raise and until what values.
687  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I have NEVER seen Bitcoin in such a sorry state as this!! on: December 25, 2018, 08:26:22 PM
Don't be too involved into the price, otherwise you will live stressful moments specially during long bearish periods.

Try to invest only what you can afford to lose and only projects you feel they have a bright future within the next 3-5 years. Cryto does not mean verifying the price every day, but having patience and taking wise decisions.
688  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Stop comparing ETH with BTC!!!!!!!! on: December 25, 2018, 08:21:33 PM
Comparing ETH with Bitcoin is like comparing apple with grapes just because they are both fruits.

Both are great coins (a plus for btc) but their purposes on cryto market is completely different.
689  Economy / Speculation / Re: 2011 People Called Bitcoin's Price of $0.70 "Ridiculous"... on: December 25, 2018, 08:19:14 PM
Bitcoin's price is given by the value buyers consider btc has. No matter what people say, if people are willing to pay 70 cents for a btc only, then its value is 0.7$. During ATH its value was 20k. There were only different periods and different market perceptions.
690  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What does it mean to buy on the Dip? on: December 24, 2018, 11:49:38 AM
Buying the dip is always a matter of comparing the dip price with a higher price.

I like to say I bought the dip as I added another 0.2 btc to my portfolio at ~3,300$  and now is 4100$. But nobody knows exactly when the bottom (dip) is.
691  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is less stable than some ALTs ! on: December 24, 2018, 11:40:07 AM
Bitcoin cannot be more stable than every single altcoin in different periods of time. Usually when market is bearish Bitcoin is more stable than majority of the altcoins, so it could be a good option to hold.

During bullish periods there are altcoins that can grow higher than btc. (as %)
692  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: If ICO Fails, Then what happen next? on: December 24, 2018, 11:36:42 AM
If by ICO failure you understand not reaching the soft capital, then most probably the project will stop being developed as many of the main activities depend on soft cap.

If hard capital is not reached, many projects continue their development.
693  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Any chance market bounce back to where it was on: December 24, 2018, 11:33:27 AM
Market is already recovering since 2-3 days. It will take time for it to get back to the values from late 2017, but in cryto everything is possible.

I think that many of the sh**ty projects already pumped will not recover anytime soon.
694  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: With all honesty, who still wants bitcoin to die? on: December 22, 2018, 07:17:57 PM
I'm not sure if translated into English it keeps the same meaning, but in Romania there is a saying: Horses don't die when dogs wish. Same for Bitcoin: it won't die when some haters wish.

Bitcoin is here to stay. It will live as long as Internet will exist. Indeed, price might have important fluctuations due to market's volatility, but this is perfectly normal in a new market.
695  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Should ICOs be regulated on: December 21, 2018, 06:59:26 AM
ICOs regularisation would be a wise decision for everyone:

- investors will stop being scammed and also be protected from unrealistic projects
- ICO-based projects will get back from the good reputation lost for an entire year 2018.
696  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Don't quit investing on: December 21, 2018, 06:24:23 AM
If you invest for short-term then this year is definitely not a period you can take important profits.

However, if you're in cryto for middle/long term you can just see 2018 as a good opportunity to increase your bags at a good price for next years to come.
697  Economy / Speculation / Re: no 1 reason why the bulls are starting real soon!!! on: December 21, 2018, 05:57:17 AM
It looks like bull run starts soon as we are used to compare with past years. But that's not the case. Cryto is changing from a day to another, stop being blinded by cyclical graphics and signs as crypto is not stocks or fiat. If something happened 2 years ago and a pattern looks a bit similar now this doesn't mean it will just happen again.
698  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: $2000 to invest ? on: December 20, 2018, 07:18:52 AM
If you look to invest in a great new project, I would recommend you to have a look to Micro Jobs. (details in my signature)

The rest of funds you can divide between Bitcoin and already known alts (mostly Ethereum, as when market will recover it will be in pole position to rise like crazy)

And don't forget to invest only what you afford to risk/lose. Good luck!
699  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do not invest in ICO anymore. Do not Feed scammers on: December 20, 2018, 07:13:12 AM
I don't think every ICO and project is the same. Just because in 2018 there were a lot of scam ICOs doesn't mean that there are no correct ICOs and high potential ICO-based projects.

People need to do their own research before investing in crypto. If you are careful about team's experience, previous projects, Whitepaper, milestone achievements, social media activity etc, I'm sure you can still find good ICOs.
700  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Problems with banks you have faced on: December 20, 2018, 07:08:45 AM
Anks don't like or don't understand what Bitcoin is and how it works. I heard stories that people got their bank accounts closed after having widthrown funds from exchanges. The easiest way to change your Btc to Fiat is using Localbitcoin.
