681  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] QQCoin- Download Now- Quick Quick Coin is exactly that! -Client Update on: January 30, 2014, 03:31:50 PM
hi guys.

I'm planning mining this coin a little.

I just switched all my rigs on xubuntu and i'm not familiar with it already.

I don't know how to compile the miner and make the miner works. can someone help a little ?

If you can give me a valid link ; and the right commands to compile it; that would be awesome. I'm stuck here that's boring. Grin

Thanks

682  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / help for setup scrypt jane mining on xubuntu please - WILL TIP - on: January 30, 2014, 03:12:00 PM
Hi everyone,

I've got a (little) farm, and I just install xubuntu on all my rigs, as I don't like to crack windows, nor to pay for it.

All the setup is working fine now, but I'm willing to mine some scrypt-jane coin and don't know how to do (i'm a linux noob, but I want to improve ^^)

I would really love some help, and I can later update this thread to a tutorial about it, as I can't find anything with google about simple steps for setup scrypt jane.

Cheers guys and thank you.

hi guys.

I'm planning mining this coin a little.

I just switched all my rigs on xubuntu and i'm not familiar with it already.

I was trying to mine another scrypt jane in solo to try it out (QQcoin), but I don't know how to compile the miner. can someone help a little ?

If you can give me a valid link for git clone; and the right command to compile it; that would be awesome. I'm stuck here that's boring.

Thanks  Smiley

688  Other / Meta / Re: It's Time For Theymos To Kill The Alt Section on: January 29, 2014, 05:07:18 PM
Just to be clear.

I am not saying there should be no alts.

I am saying Alts need their own forum, off this site.

Close the Alt sub form and force the change.

~BCX~

Just to be "clear", no.  I don't care if you've been around since 2011 or 2014.  If you honestly think your "seniority" means anything, you are naive and dillusional.

You even use your hash to destroy the work of other people.  You should be removed from these forums, not alts.

689  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] NEM : Descendant of NXT - 4 billion coins - Equal Shares for ALL on: January 28, 2014, 10:52:49 PM
PLEASE!

Look at this next account to 3243382701527979272 and what do you notice?
This "man" has here (I have not counted) made more than + 50 shares!!
That's so unfair I have to no more words!
I would like to be taken on this user for ALL imitators all NEM share away!
That can not be so hard wine little research to operate??
This guy is a stakeholder in NXT and has so much time that he daily +50 Nem shares "buy"!

It is surely easy to control such a thing and he's always on!!!!

Please does what, or I'm gone and do that what's going on Puplik.

Notice:
Should not be done, I waive my NEM share!

Who didn't expect this with absolutely NO terms in the distribution to prevent people from it.

They should throw those people away; at least if you want two stakes, make at least a small effort and create a new account as it's ONE share / user. so BUMP for OP

692  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: LaunchPool - First pool to automatically switch mining to newly launched coins! on: January 27, 2014, 04:18:22 PM
It's a good idea.

I had the same, but no skills to do it.

My idea was more like a middlecoin clone with small shots into new coins, with the miners vote (exemple if I have 20Mh, my vote will be 20X more important than someone voting with 1Mh).

Exemple 2 :

Pool is mining profitability.

A new coin is announced.

Poll on main page, requirement : filling YES/NO for mining this coin + btc adress to show how much Mh u had in the past.

if 51% people voting wants to mine it, the pool gives a shot for a determined period of time (say 72 hours from launch)

Coins are stored into - unknown unexchanged balance - and dumped by the pool operator when he can do it for a fair price.

Any thoughts ?

bon cheers et good night

My fans only wants to work when i remove the sensor, is there a way to fix that ? I think its not the sensor as temps are showing when its plugged. Im not good enough to figure out where it comes from...

Anyway, im finally hashing since 24hrs !

cheers

Back on my fan pb, I can't force a RPM. It keep going up and down idk why. I set temp target to 50, it's now 52° and fan are decreasing speed.

raaaaaah Roll Eyes

Some numbers seems to be reversed. Try higher target instead of lower.

It's like i can't force cgminer to a fix % fan. I set the temp target at 60 but same problem, it starts hashing with fans at 2600rpm, with --avalon-fan 50 and go down to 2150 and 2060 and 1980 etc etc etc, then stop.

and now its stopped

I was able to fix the fan problem slavo by unpluging the 2nd temp sensor now I am able to keep the fans at any speed with out them turning off like they did before.

That did the trick. But isnt this dangerous ? No overheat protection ? I have temp1 at 21° where does that come from as i have only one sensor...

Just got my machine running  its only hashing at 140gh but I am having the same problem as you after about 6 minutes the fans stop spinning also I dont have any fan RPMS listed under the cgminer status window.

When ever I apply --avalon-fan 20 or any other number they speed up for like 2 seconds then they slow back way down.

did u flash them ? I did because it was impossible to connect; that's maybe the pb ?
