how can you keep that exchange open? can't you just die?

C-CEX is a scam please stop trading there. check the ssd thread and make your own conclusion.

Dev has delivered from day one. No bullshit. There is a working twitter bot. Stop the fud. Devs can remain anon. Should remain anon. If you disagree, do not buy. You will be missing out.

What if he leaves tomorrow, what do you do with the bot? What bot is worth 94 btc? A tip bot???
PINK has it for free... along with a lot otherr features....

But key question again: If this phantom dev leaves tomorrow, what do you do? What can you do?

question again: what if satoshi nakamoto had left bitcoin? OH WAIT

A Dark Horse

Many question why ring signatures are not simply added to Bitcoin’s codebase. According to Bitcoin core developer gmaxwell, ring signatures are possible, but present challenges. A new arrival in the arena of anonymous crypto-currences, StealthCoin (XST), promises to add ring signatures to the Bitcoin codebase with StealthSend, which is still in development. According to the StealthSend whitepaper (https://www.dropbox.com/s/do4urdefwoungjz/Stealthsend-Whitepaper-Brief-201409.pdf?dl=0), StealthSend transactions using ring signatures of 100 keys will only require about one third the space of similar CryptoNote transactions, but give the same level of privacy protection. This savings is achieved through the use of the use of so-called “Chandran Signatures”, and innovations related to the selection of the keys used for the ring signatures. In StealthSend, key selection is based on four numbers: two random numbers (called “nonces”), one number that reduces the difficulty of selecting the keys by specifying a subset of all possible keys, and one number to specify the size of the ring. Thus, the nonce key selection specifies any set of randomly selected keys using only 32 bytes of storage.Applied to CryptoNotes, the nonce key selection proposed for StealthSend would lead to a space savings of about 30% for future transactions.

If successful, Stealthsend will have an obfuscated blockchain similar to CryptoNotes while utilizing the well established bitcoin protocol. Additionally, it will also offer a significant reduction in storage.
To avoid the memory-expensive proofs required by an anonymous proof-of-stake coin, StealthSend will be a proof-of-work coin. StealthSend coins will be created by rewarding holders of StealthCoin at a 1:1 ratio in a proof-of-burn conversion. In other words, to get one StealthSend coin, a StealthCoin holder would have to burn one StealthCoin. After the proof-of-burn conversion, the remaining 15% of the total money supply will be emitted via proof-of-work, using a smooth emission algorithm.

Decentralized Dark Markets

In addition to Stealthsend, the Stealthcoin team recently announced that they plan to support Open Bazaar, which is an anonymous, decentralized marketplace. With the closings of Silk Road and many other Bitcoin commerce sites, a decentralized solution to an anonymous marketplace would fill an important niche.

Open Bazaar promises to be such a solution. It is an open-source project touting many innovations that improve on traditional markets, including a reputation system based on proof-of-burn pledges, which allow users to burn Bitcoin in exchange for reputation. Released under the permissive open source MIT License, the Open Bazaar project plans to launch before the end of 2014.

Very nice!!

I suggest to everyone to read the full article in the link that was posted and I add this:

156  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][BURST] Burst | Efficient POC Mining | New version 1.1.2 on: September 22, 2014, 09:47:01 AM
what if daddy slavo want to TRADE your coin to increase liquidity (and so bump in prices)? wouldn't daddy slavo need btc along his burst to make profits (so being rewarded for work)? or should daddy slavo watch a dead market and being proud of his useless pile of coin?  Grin as said there's no real debate on my side; i can buy or i can not buy.

@slavo

Sorry man, I just don't understand the logic behind selling off the market. I buy almost daily at markets for market price. I can sell you some for 500 satoshi and buy them directly back at markets if you want.

= no  Cheesy

anyway i wish you the best; really; daddy slavo being in or out won't change that coin's future that's for sure  Grin
157  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][BURST] Burst | Efficient POC Mining | New version 1.1.2 on: September 22, 2014, 09:23:43 AM
i'll try to make a post to make you sell some coins to daddy slavo; let's see if you cry at the end  Grin

rough estimate of miners atm = 150

the point is: there's about 149,000,000 burst already created; if any decent investor want to buy a decent share; price would go up to 500 sats easily; which in terms of marketcap is just not sustainable; considering actual dev and inflation rate. <--- so he won't buy except if he's dumb or collude with big miners.

so; for the burst supporters; so atm mainly miners; instead of waiting for moon; you can start the distribution. Selling at 100 sat or 200 is not weak; it's for the sake of this coin; or you will end up like nxt which has great tech but such poor distribution that market just can't work freely (nobody outside the nxt collective i mean).

i see something really good in burst; simply because there's more hard drives on earth than there's gpu; so we can expect a better distribution at the end; which is kewl. (i think that was the point of the dev when he thought about this concept; that or he had too much unused hard drives Cheesy)

but if you miners hoard like it seems you are; you're mainly splitting your "burst wealth" between 150 (plus maybe 500 micro buyers if lucky? but you all know that small players don't do shit on the alt market). So you lose the generalistic distribution through hard drives by highjacking a huge chunk of the supply giving no real interest for investors.  make this situation last too long and you will lose momentum where momentum is:

early adopters are split between miners AND traders; miners are mining profitably because traders are active; so they can increase their farm, mining software and be more and more efficient; and traders have a safe network to rely on; more miners come for better distribution (because of profitability); more traders; more volume; more success.

so my conclusion is:

It's early; as miners your job (i'm gpu miner too but dont't have hard drives) is to maintain the most secure network possible; that is at least how traders will see an increasing hashrate (and so more $ spend to that security; so normal for them to pay more)

Sell those millions (and some to me please  Wink); spew them; it's early and that huge supply could be newcomer friendly.

It is really early; i know a lot of you are seeking to land on the moon; but the intersideral trip cost money  Smiley

If what i said make sense to most of you i may have a fun way to distribute some of that burst supply. If there's someone able to make that happens so i'm not holding the fund for trust issues...

idea is :

those who wants to support the idea "sell" me (or the one voluntary chosen by the community) any amount @ 50 sats; i will keep them in escrow (or the one in charge); and anybody with at least a certain bitcointalk rank (or other condition who cares); say "member" status and above would be able to claim a batch of 100k coin at 75 sat; so off market; with no limitations in time as long as we have funds (so .05/batch to buy; .075 to sell; escrow take .005; dev team takes .02/ batch sold); when the fund is empty we'd have increase our number of "decent" holders (I have often more interest in coins where i have big amount in %supply; i assume i'm not alone in that case?) and we'll gain a better community; with more debate and facts than "to the moon" shills

-i can do it if you like it but i certainly would prefer seeing someone else to avoid being trolled forever...

P.S.: was burst launched on august 10th ? (i have trouble with the explorer; my browser shuts down if i try to browse so i just see the 10 last blocks; so i took the op date.)

P.P.S.: taht's not trolling; on my side there's no problem; if you don't sell i won't buy and that's all (and that's the same for every damn so called investor Cheesy)
TL;DR VERSION

MINE MORE; SELL MORE; TRADE MORE; SHARE MORE; CARE MORE; and FORGET ABOUT THE PRICE; it will be the best way to make your burst more valuable.

btt "investors" = lol

i'm buying up crypti since 1 month because yes; it takes time to "invest" without bumping the price.

those talking about closing the source and shit; wtf? can't we all live in peace and have some nice alts; crypti and node included? what if node end up being a better crypti; would that be bad? what if the opposite? who cares?

why the fuck would we compete against each others rather than WORK together; i just bought a lot of storj BECAUSE they aren't fighting but try to create partnerships with their direct "concurrent" which are sia; safe etc. That's the spirit...

is $ competing against € or are they both usefull for different types of people? companies using $ and € competes; not users.

If we end up having two companies; one using xcr and the other node fighting that would be good for the economy of BOTH coins.

Tell me that you see yourselves (node or crypti or any coin in fact) as a company and i'll just gtfo.

anyway good luck to BOTH projects
160  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][BURST] Burst | Efficient POC Mining | New version 1.1.2 on: September 20, 2014, 01:05:26 PM
u can't really compare mining algo with hdd as it's a global ressource.

i don't have any numbers and won't seek but how many hdd are sold for 1 gpu; i'd say at least 100 ?

mining problem is distribution; that's why we have so much algo; target is decentralization (at least on paper); and computing power; if bitcoin mining were replaced by hdd mining how much new miners would we see ? network in terms of individuals might X100,000.

i just DL'd the wallet; and saw that it's nxt based. isn't there some traps in the code to make it hard to clone? (i think i remember that but i hate nxt so much that i just can't clic on any nxt link sorry Cheesy) if yes was that solved ?

a working nxt clone with full distribution through hdd mining seems like a decent plan; even with no (new) features.

cheers and gl
