Americanbit

gonna change it now to coinbase rate with a 20% bonus (limited time) to get people try the site.

Cool, it depends on your market. If youre American, you have to do coinbase. But if youre in Europe, the BTC-E rate is what you could get away with. I doubt youll get many customers at this point...youre a new member, no trust...pretty complicated service with the money pack, as I dont know too much about them. Plus, everything is so positive in bitcoin right now...to sell would be not too bright right now. But good luck
682  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: $1000.00 ATMS comming on: January 15, 2014, 05:35:13 PM
this $1000.00 machine and Lamassu machine (https://lamassu.is/) are not ATM's, they are vending machines.  Therefore Licencing shouldn't be required in most countries.
In Australia we have 2 Lamassu bitcoin vending machines already operating.

Now this is an ATM where you can buy and sell bitcoins https://robocoinkiosk.com/ but they're worth $20,000.00 each.

Yeah, its more in USA where licensing is needed for anything that has to do with exchanging currencies.
683  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Average Transaction Time on: January 15, 2014, 05:33:27 PM

Is there any way to know/guess average transaction time, for a transaction sent without any fees with it ?

Well how quickly do you get to work, when youre not getting paid for it? Youd probably take your time...maybe stop for some starbucks on the way?  Roll Eyes
684  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: Selling MP's for btc on: January 15, 2014, 04:38:44 PM
It looks like a ripoff...I can sell bitcoin on coinbase for 843...you are only paying 823. Its nice to scam noobs though i guess
685  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: $1000.00 ATMS comming on: January 15, 2014, 03:43:07 PM
Legal weed shops in the USA who can't get back accounts should bu these to go in their stores, then their customers can buy BTC and they could then accept BTC as payment and save them carrying all that cash around.

That would also be illegal
686  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: $1000.00 ATMS comming on: January 15, 2014, 12:24:23 PM
There would be very little regulation with this device as it is truly not an ATM, it is a bitcoin vending machine!  So most could operate one as a small business, llc or corp and sell bitcoins, just as you can sell any other product.  The issues could come if you were to start redeeming bitcoins for fiat in volume, then the u.s. government may try to enforce banking regulations on you?

Mtnminer

No thats not true at all...bitcoin is considered money. Any exchange from money to money, no matter the direction, is still considered a money transfer business. You cant just have people walk up and turn 5k into bitcoins without taking note of it. Cause then that money can be laundered out of the country very easily...it is a lot harder than you think. Dont you think if that was the case there would be a bitcoin ATM on every corner by now?
687  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is Coinye dead or whats the deal? on: January 15, 2014, 03:50:26 AM
It's not dead.

It's dead, no developer wants to be involved in the lawsuit. Coinye has lost all dev support and will wither and die now.

Sell your coinyes that you have, they will be worth nothing in a month

Thats what Ive been gathering...Kanye is going after anything and everyone that touches a coinye

An opensource project from my home town! this could really change the landscape. only 1.3 BTC at current exchange prices!  Ok, it's really only a BTC vending machine because it can't dispense fiat, but it's 1/4 the price of it's cheapest competitor.  Go Stumptown!

This is a great project, way cheaper than current bitcoin ATM machines and also fiat ATM machines Smiley

The $64,000,000 question is of course which countries will allow these machines.

The 64M question is which countries will have the ability to enforce a ban on them. This is an open source project. It's like 3D printer guns or maybe even more like moonshine stills.

Yeah there is a video on youtube showing you the parts to order and everything

Thats a great deal. I wonder what other expenses come along with having to operate this, as in licenses and such.

It's more than that. if they can really make and sell these machines for that price, you could conceivably just operate them without licence and gain many times your investment before they are seized. They're basically disposable. This could be huge.

For sure, Ive already pondered bolting that Lamassu down in the back of the tahoe...first mobile bitcoin ATM
691  Economy / Goods / Personalized Bitcoin ATM Cards- American Bitcoin Inc on: January 15, 2014, 01:05:28 AM
25% off for for Bitcointalk clients.

Hello fellow bitcoiners, here is a little more detail regarding the personal QR ATM/Membership Card.

The card is personal to you and in its purest form it is simply a more convenient way to accept bitcoins. You dont have to boot up your phone, enter in your long passphrase or submit your 2FAuth in order to accept bitcoin deposits. Basically, its a back up to your phone, or just a more convenient alternative. The bottom line is phones die, and now with the all of the functions batteries dont last very long. Well, that can be a problem if you want to do transactions in bitcoin. Even when I dont have my phone with me, someone can still hand me a dollar. This isnt the case when it comes to bitcoin. You have to have a way of accepting bitcoin even when you dont have your phone with you. This is where the ATM/Deposit card comes in.

The card also acts as a membership. We lack the development knowledge to do a coinkite POS feature, but it is a possibility in the future. The member services are pretty basic at this point. Depending on your membership level, the fees that coincide with the services will vary. For instance, all BLACK card members are offered free Escrow Services with $500 USD in insurance to assure the seller their coins are safe at all times. A lot of people obviously offer this in this forum. However, American Bitcoin Inc is obviously an officially registered business within the United States. Therefore, your options of recourse should anything go wrong, are much greater as well. In simplest terms, American Bitcoin is not only accountable to you, we are accountable to the US Justice Dept. That should help all buyers and sellers sleep just a little better at night. Then we also offer a snapcard feature, but without all the bells and whistles. You would have to submit the link to the item you wish to buy, and we would make sure everything goes smoothly...better rates than snapcard as well depending on your membership level. Then there is a chat, forum, you set up your own profile, charts, and a very large directory of all business that take bitcoin, gambling sites, bitcoin faucets, and we will have bitcoin give-away contests for fun etc etc...

Now this is the very beginning, so we only have about 35 paying members so far and most have splurged for the BLACK card. Which isnt bad at all considering we have only been taking pre-orders. The site is up, we have not disclosed the domain yet to members; but you can check it out  http://theamericanbitcoincompany.com/

Now, Im changing this proof slightly but you can get the idea of what the card will look like. It will be printed on a lithograph printer so it will have the same professional detail as a standard credit card, as well as the embossed lettering and numbering. Below is the Gold, Silver, and Bronze sample of what my card will look like.

haha like I said, we have some problems. What country are you from in Europe? Have we saved your country from certain annihilation, most likely. We have the best of everything available. We generally have a lot of freedoms. Where in Europe re you from? Lets hear that first. Im sure Ill have a few things to say..be proud dude, where are you from?

I think you have missed my point....this is about Neptune miners. Go and order yourself a Black arrow batch 2 for delivery at the end of April. Focus on this company not BFL labs.

I wish you the best of luck with your Neptunes  Wink

I dont need luck, Im American  Cool

Of course how did I forget that....pity KnC isn't American aswell - get yourself that 110v plug.

Yeah that sucks too

698  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Is Coinye dead or whats the deal? on: January 14, 2014, 10:02:55 PM

SO whats the deal? Is this coin dead?
700  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: Anyone interested in a 500Gh/s BFL mini rig on: January 14, 2014, 10:00:48 PM
It was actually sold outside of this forum.

Did the buyer tell you how much he paid?

Course! He paid me!

Threads over now...so Im back...who'd you scam?

I've read over your profile and viewed your posts from the past. My god, you are some clown - what field were you born in?

Have you nothing better to do that slag butterfly labs every time you get a chance - some people did make money with them  Roll Eyes Just not you  Cheesy

You might not even make money with your Neptunes - you will look like an even bigger clown then. Is this supposed to be your official opinion moniker for your business, then?

haha dude butterfly labs sucks...Dont go snooping into my business...what are you the NSA? And yeah since I have made so much money off of bitcoin, I dont have much better to do. I quit my job, it was nice. Everything I do now revolves around bitcoin. So i have plenty of time to help people out by warning them against buying from butterfly labs

im sure a few people did make money. A few out of thousands doesnt cut it in America. We demand satisfaction. Dont worry about my neptunes dude. Im going to be printing money with those puppies. I got a minimum of 10TH for 3O bitcoins, ill be ok I think

10TH/s is not much - the network is currently on about 14000TH and other ASIC's may deliver long before them - Q1/Q2 is vague, very vague. There are 100's of antminers coming on all the time. Black arrow estimate to bring their 1TH machines in late February.

20nm takes a long time to fix if there are problems and it's likely they won't ship before summer. They were even late with their last 28nm product line. Tell me how much you estimate to make back on bitcoins? What's your contingency plan? I just ordered one to play it safe because I believe they will be surpassed. It may ruin KnC when everybody wants their refunds. Those that do may very well not get their refund back with the same amount of coins they spent - maybe 8 each, or 7, or 5....anything is quite possible.

btw, a lot of europeans think Americans are idiots, we don't all look at your country in awe - what goes up must come down and your superpower status days are numbered. Don't try and play some card on europeans to make your country sound better.

Ill be fine...KNC knows whats up...America has its problems, but its still the best place in the world to live. I am well aware most of the world thinks we are idiots, but trust me, we dont think too much of them either.
