after 3 years of introducing bitcoin to other people and getting at least 100 of them into bitcoin I have stopped.
because all these years I have never told anyone bitcoin is an investment, whenever there is talk of bitcoin I first say bitcoin is a currency and show them the benefits of it as a currency, being decentralized as the best thing and then the security and speed and finally the cheap fees and lots more.
then I introduce them to services they can use with bitcoin, and all the discounts they can get.
but honestly I can no longer give any answer to the question saying "why would I pay $0.9-$1 fee for using a new thing called bitcoin that I don't even understand instead of using my credit card for free that I have been using my whole life."
of course I can always start arguing about lots of other things and benefits and start talking about bitcoin being an investment but deep down I agree with them and also I hate telling new people "bitcoin is an investment and you are gonna make profit from price rise", that is just silly.
So who says credit cards are free?Dont they charge the fee too?Bitcoin is better than CC not just because of fee but also because of financial freedom that it gives to you. |

I finally decide to install iguana app to try to access my KMD from ICO, downloaded the windows version from supernet, but after finished installation and trying to run the program, it said that the version is not compatible to my windows (currently runnning on win7 32bit). Is there something I missed?

I got some concerns about this Qtum ICO.
First, why are only 51% of the coins being sold to the community?
Why are they using only chinese exchanges and official website? Note that i got told by a dev on slack that Chinese exchanges are going to be the fastest way of buying Qtum, which is bad for every non-chinese investor. Not to mention that all I hear about chinese exchanges is that they are kinda shady and not trustworthy.
What will be the price/Qtum? Not so worried about it but ICO is in 9 days, could get some info on that.
The fact that it is like the first one to not share its code before the ICO, if not then I am sorry, just not aware of any other like this. And the fact that the Mainnet will only be live at least a couple months after the ICO "successful" ending.
Exchanges will keep the coins for all that time, could lead to some manipulation, steal, and whatnot.
I really like the idea, the future plans and the fact that they got a lot of media attention but this last one can also be a very bad thing.
I didn't take the 49% tokens in the hands of the developers serious until I realize that this is a Proof of Stake project. The team want to eat their cake and have it with this structure and design of the ICO. I have comment on the exchange listing, their is no need to use exchanges when the sale is going to be available on your site, I know what these exchanges did during Firstblood ICO, they bought most of the tokens and sold it at 2X to buyers on the second day. I won't blame the exchange because they are set up to make money and if I'm in their shoes I will do thesame. Qtum team can continue to ignore these issues and be adding Roger Ver and co to the team, but what I know is that people are watching every move I have seen lots of ICO taking months to get listed on exchange.If crowdsale will run on exchange also,this will be instantly tradeable after ICO. And you have option to buy at website so if exchange sells 2x after ICO,you can sell and make profit  |

First thing you must know that all investment involves risk.Cloud mining is 99.9% scams and you should be extremely careful with them. Two investments that have given me good returns (some times loss too) is trading on some good exchange and investment in ICO. ICO investment are long term investment therefore requires patience.Also judging the right ICO is also takes some research and there are some precautions you must observe. |
