We are looking into the other coin and where it was dev'd because it appears to be a good that is now looking for traffic and support through this new avenue and that is not going to fool too many people. This is a trusted dev, i must say

This brings to mind a funny story. Last year we were buying and new car and moving some things at the same time.  Basically, during the move, the heavy items put one of our older vehicles out of commission and we went out and quickly bought another used car

I'm not sure how that relates, but Ok.  Cheesy

Its relates. I have not finished yet.  Smiley

The vehicle had died near a Walmart and we parked it there until we could get to it.  We really considered towing and repairing it beyond the worth of the vehicle.  In it was a handful of worthless stuff and an ASIC.  It was an older unit, a 60 GHS unit that we never used anymore.  Just a plain black box with a WIFI antenna and a few ports.

The vehicle got towed while we were getting to dealing with it.  Calling the impound, they stated that many people could not afford or did not care to pick up theirs cars and the impound offered right away to waive any fees in exchange for keeping the dead vehicle.  We agreed and they said to come and pick up the personal items.

We were so busy it took a week to get there and they now wanted $100 to release the stuff, we walked away and figure let them have the junk, ASIC included, it had paid for itself years back.

The idea was sound to begin with and if the users here are slick they can get in and make a few coins before the collapse, but that is the extent of where it will go.
685  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Need to Retrieve My Bitcoin Account Purchased in 2008-2009 on: July 13, 2017, 03:54:41 PM
That wallet id is very likely stored in your browser because it is hard to remember and most people store that info.
686  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Need to Retrieve My Bitcoin Account Purchased in 2008-2009 on: July 13, 2017, 03:54:07 PM
There were no online service to log in in order to buy/sell Bitcoins in 2009, there were actually nothing regarding registration on any site

That was somehow related to Bitcoin. if you have an email then you should post the content here so we could see what is going on.

How is this possible? Would this be safe on my end? or perhaps already lost permanently? Providing my email address and knowing the fact is untraceable sounds like I had given my chances to lose it deeper. Any other suggestions you can refer me to?

Truly appreciate you contributing to this topic. Thanks in advance!
Mate you said that you have an email for the account, so what does it say inside of the email? I don't want you to show me the address just

The content of your email, whether it's a registration letter or login notification? in 2009 Bitcoin was a brand new thing, no one actually did

Anything for it other than mining it, no one were selling Bitcoin because you could mine it in bulk back then, that's why people are calling

This a lie, even if you managed to somehow buy from anyone then if you didn't save the private key of your BTC address then don't bother.

No one will return them to you now that the price is $2600 even if you find the service they might not be in business any more, sorry.

Even if you did not save the password from a given site, your wallet address, wallet id or username for a site may be there. If nothing else, this makes for a very interesting list to read.  You will be amazed at the usernames and other data that is saved there.
The most common online Bitcoin wallet is on blocjchain.info and even though you likely know your passwords, the Bitcoin wallet address is converted into a wallet id and that is used to log in.
687  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Thoughts on Account Signing on: July 12, 2017, 04:42:10 PM
Just a thought and comment on the account signing.  I put in a Bitcoin address in the profile when I first signed up or pretty close to then, but that address is nowhere near under my control anymore.  I am sure the wallet has nothing in it, but the passphrases or whatever I used on that wallet are long gone.  This is going to be true for most users on the forum and the veteran members know this.

The new user has a wallet, online or software and is all proud of the first Bitcoin address and puts it on their profile.

Time passes and those first wallets come and go, as well as the enthusiasm of updating a Bitcoin wallet address on your profile when opening a new one.

Most people hit the forums within the first month of active involvement in Bitcoin because the whole thing needs some explaining in one way or another when you are new and there are questions to be asked.

691  Economy / Speculation / Re: Sell Bitcoin ahead of 1st Aug Hard Fork on: July 12, 2017, 03:47:42 PM
There is no guarantee of any price dropping, unbelievable FUD

If you don't buy your btc BEFORE August 1st you won't have a coin on both chains....

If you sell now your just feeding hungry whales who are likely paying trolls to create this FUD

Even the major banks and hedgefunds have been buying in over the last few months because they know the money will pile in when we have a solution that can scale and that's coming soon, one way or another lol Wink

Yes exactly. Only one caution is that if we control our privatekey
then we can choose any chain we do not need to worry ,
if you have balances in exchnages  / web wallets like xapo then move them into your electrum / bread wallet
both xapo and coinbase balances should be moved out because we cannot decide to choose a chain with your xapo balance
692  Economy / Speculation / Re: My bitcoin speculation for August... Only rise is possible... on: July 12, 2017, 03:39:45 PM
I somewhat agree that "we are here again", except that I still think "we are on the way here, just not quite yet". Once BTC drops below $2,000, then I'll firmly believe we are "there". Trade volume is still thin, I think a lot of traders were caught out this week and will not be ready to re-enter until they can see the outcome post Aug.

Neverthelses, whatever negative outcome that might happen post August seems to be slowly pricing in already and I fully expect only a matter of weeks to readjust to pre-Aug price.

u r 100% right but what to do
it happens even for bitcoins but I believe the small chain will join the big chain later
so by end of Aug there will be again only one chain .let us hope for good things to happen
693  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Price Level by August 1 on: July 12, 2017, 03:36:49 PM
Cast your vote people and share with us what you think. We are a community and this way we would know what the majority is thinking.

$2250 and $2200 is not broken then we can expect prices to come up again to the levels $2700
if $2200 breaks then we can see $1900 /$1850

Use  the back of one of the online wallets, for the reward recipient allocation, the gathering of info like the account ID and then set up your plotting in mining from your computer and you're good to go.

695  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][BURST] Burst | Efficient HDD Mining | New 1.2.3 Fork block 92000 on: July 11, 2017, 05:01:09 PM
The same is true for the solution if you stick to doing one thing repeatedly it will work itself out. Do not try to mine to your own private computer, do not try to do things in your own private computer besides setup your mining software and everything will be fine. Just plot and mine on your PC and handle everything else up online and you won't run into these problems.

In the end if you do run into these problems that's also the solution and will also help fix it. Be diligent and do the same thing over and over again and you will get the same results.
696  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: lol so many newbs flooding the forum asking same questions on: July 11, 2017, 04:55:58 PM
Seems like everyone and thier mama is trying to build
a rig to mine ether 😃😃 Kinda feel bad for these late commers even the ones with
deep pockets , If they had jumped on board say three to six months ago they would be
in way better shape now with cards hard to find difficulty rising like crazy creating a few rigs
to hedge is not a terrible idea but you have a  better chance to make money buy buying into
the eth based icos or buying related tokens low selling high on the pump and dump waves.

all my 45 rigs are paid for so mining and expanding is trivial for me , i have around 50 cards i bought back when the rx 500s launched that i dont even have the electricity to power that i listed on ebay for $580 a card and they are SELLING 😂😂

the current state of this forum is hillarious to me.  I made 30k on the augur Ico, 10k on waves
sold both way way too low , learned from my mistakes I hope all these newbs dont get burned

This brings to mind a funny story. Last year we were buying and new car and moving some things at the same time.  Basically, during the move, the heavy items put one of our older vehicles out of commission and we went out and quickly bought another used car

The AIO is nice, but unnecessary for the common users, and for the miner also.  it simply takes up space and it does have issues.
698  Economy / Services / Re: Freelancers and Employers, I am requesting your help. on: July 11, 2017, 04:45:59 PM
Factually, when i saw your first post somedays ago, i followed workingforbitcoins.com website, i liked your service at first seen. I did refer one of my skilled friend to this.
My recommendation is to start a signature campaign to let all freelancers know about your service.

I will also suggest you to start the signature campaign provided you have funds to do so.  Having a Signature campaign here means that your bitcoin related site is introduced on the biggest bitcoin forum and it will surely give you many new visits and clients.
699  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Is Ethereum best for investment? on: July 11, 2017, 04:40:27 PM
Yes ethereum is good option because lots of ICO is happening based on erc20 token at least you need to get some gas for transferring to exchanges all Ico coming with millions and billions of token for that need ether for gas so ethereum price will increase for sure.

You never know what's going to happen if you want it an investment over a long period of time that of course is Bitcoin. otherwise, stick with the higher fluctuations that are existent in some of the lower alt coins.

Well it's certainly looking a bit slow just now. It'd be good to see a bit of a rise. Or maybe time to buy some Smiley

Some of the new alt coins that actually get somewhere in a short period of time. do your research and you might get some information that is worth having.
