681  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What Will You Do To Recover Bitcoin? on: November 18, 2019, 06:38:29 AM
In 2010, you came across a site that was giving away bitcoins. The site said it was free money so you signed up. You were logging in to figure out how it was money but couldn't. The last time you logged in you had more than 100 bitcoins. Later you forgot about the site until 2017 when a ponzi was advertising Bitcoin. Bitcoin? The name rang a bell and you stated hearing stories. You remembered you must have many bitcoins  somewhere but you can't even remember the name of the site. How would you recover your BTC?
It's impossible to recover because every site will definitely make regular changes to its website data.
Better to find another way to get it again somewhere else than to spend the time to recover it. Wink
682  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Google possesses threat to bitcoin. What do you say? on: November 18, 2019, 06:25:58 AM
Quantum supremacy was a lie or a failure attempt. may be they failed to break cryptography but they showed potential risks and whole crypto industry suffered. Now, google is here with smart checking bank account by google pay. And again bitcoin or other crypto giants will have hard time. Crypto provides security, can secure privacy, giant like amazon, twitter and apple are supporting crypto. Yet only price speculation is only factor that effect the crypto price, it seems.
What if google attracts millions of new investors? what if crypto fails to attract investors? Google may make the path harder
Both Google and Cryptocurrency are based on a very large community.
I think the big movement by the community can change the situation, and I'm sure cryptocurrency has many big investors who realize this.
683  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: People are underutilizing Bitcoin on: November 18, 2019, 06:13:27 AM
Full article: https://www.forrestvisions.com/blog/people-are-underutilizing-bitcoin

People need to start accepting Bitcoin and keeping it, not converting it.

If you think of Bitcoin as just a virtual placeholder for fiat currency, stable coins will be the future and Bitcoin will slowly fade away.

Thoughts?
but in reality only a few people actually save bitcoin, others only use bitcoin to hope to get more FIAT money.
It just depends on the mindset of everyone, there are also those who are indeed hindered by economic conditions that make it unable to save bitcoin for the long term.
684  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: For new people, when they go on the journey to bitcoin. on: November 17, 2019, 04:47:24 AM
If we consider earn bitcoin as some goal, or something else altogether, we must have the following:
Work, the effort to succeed, and the ability to cope with the environment.
These are the three basic things to be successful. And most of all it refers to things like bitcoin.

-Work can be divided into: work by obligation and work by motivation.
these two concepts are different because I quote "He who wants is better than what he has to", therefore more productive and intense work that brings better results and rapid progress towards the goal.

-The effort in this case can be divided into: incorrect effort and correct effort.
Improper effort, that is, a desire to work and be better
but you are still learning the wrong way (and you know the way you would be better) and therefore have no means of progress
The right effort is to learn it the hard way because you know that you will be better off if you hear it right and it comes to your own later.
The right effort to progress in everything you do has to exist, the basis of every progression is.

-Being able to cope in the surrounding area is one very important thing, it will not always be possible to seek help from someone, sometimes we are left to nature and we are our own boss. Someone gets it by birth, someone gets it, and everyone else is just miserable workers who do nothing from their lives. "If there is no way find it, if you don't find it, make it"

Conclusion:
You don't always have to wait out of the chair with your feet up on the table, you don't reach your destination that way. Nothing will fall from heaven into our pocket.
We must give 100% of ourselves to succeed what we want.

To be honest, what you write applies universally to everything in order to succeed.
The difficult thing about crypto is that it has to do with cyberspace, we need to filter out a lot of valid information rather than get caught up in opinions that can harm us.

Understanding the basic understanding of Bitcoin is very important because it can make people who are just learning will not be oriented solely on the price.
But also on the side of the benefits so that it can transmit knowledge to people around. Wink
685  Economy / Speculation / Re: One more dump before halving? on: November 17, 2019, 04:16:35 AM
Honestly speaking the bitcoin market is good as of now with slight improvement and not much dump except one particular dump before week or so which provided further pump, but are these manipulation just to for whales to cash out before the halving and then invest again at a cheaper value to get most profit of out it post halving? Are we going to witness major dump before halving?
There is always an interesting scenario when approaching halving time, we can not predict in detail how big the dumper will occur.
But in the market factor there will definitely be a dumper because to collect interest in buying at lower prices then the big players will profit taking at the top price level.
686  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin cannot be banned on: November 17, 2019, 03:50:42 AM
An interesting read on the economics of Bitcoin:

https://www.unchained-capital.com/blog/bitcoin-cannot-be-banned

Excerpt.

The Progression of Denial & Stages of Grief

The skeptic’s narrative consistently shifts over time. Stage one of grief: bitcoin could never work – it is backed by nothing. It is nothing more than a present-day tulip mania.  With each hype cycle, the value of bitcoin rises dramatically and is then followed by a correction. Often extolled as a crash by skeptics, bitcoin fails to die and in each instance, it finds support at levels higher than prior adoption waves. The tulip narrative becomes tired and the skeptics move on to more nuanced issues, re-anchoring the debate.  Stage two of grief follows: bitcoin is flawed as a currency. It is too volatile to be money, or it is too slow to be a payments system, or it cannot scale to satisfy all the payments in the world, or it wastes energy. The list goes on. This second step is a progression of denial and it is a significant departure from the idea that bitcoin is nothing more than nothingness.
But the interesting thing is that many of the governments have adopted the blockchain and on the other hand they hate bitcoin and even forbid it.
At this point, I think you understand what I mean, because there is an attempt by the government to monopolize this system. Smiley
687  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What are the not-so-known ways to generate crypto? on: November 17, 2019, 03:44:54 AM
Everyone talks about blogging, commerce, using referral systems, bounty, campaign signatures, streaming, selling courses, offering their services in gaming, camwhore. But there are other not so known ways to generate/earn cryptos?
If you only want to make cryptos, please become a developer, you can make as many cryptos as you want, but about the price? You will need lots of people for that, including systems, campaigns and breakthroughs to make your crypto grow.

If what you mean is another way to get crypto like BTC and others you have to mine and it costs a lot to buy a mining gear. Unless you want it all for free, that's impossible bro.
688  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do not invest based on the "telegram community" on: November 16, 2019, 07:38:22 AM
Back in 2017, many ICO projects pride themselves of having one of the biggest telegram community. Some of them would market it as a proof or sign that many investors believe in their project. People who have been around all know that most members there are airdrop/bounty hunters who only joined to qualify for the reward.

I also saw one post earlier asking for telegram group members and one of the condition the buyer posted is that it "needs to look real".

Anyway, this post is just a reminder to beginners in crypto. We don't want you to fall for these tricks to lure you into investing into their projects.
The large number of telegram followers is sometimes a parameter for beginners to start investing in ICO projects like IEO. But in the group there is very little important chat activity, the contents are only spam chat that is off topic.
In my opinion the most reasonable is the existence of chat activities between members with the admin and founder of the telegram group, it shows that there is seriousness on the part of the project maker to develop into a bigger and faster.
689  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Halving Price Prediction $55,000 - $130,000 on: November 16, 2019, 07:32:55 AM
It's hard to predict numbers, which is clear there will always be interesting surprises after halving occurs.
It takes 4-8 months after halving the surprise will be seen. The current price I think is still very reasonable to buy.
690  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin = Truth on: November 16, 2019, 07:25:21 AM
And truth is going to be the authority for this coming age where we the people demand accountability and honesty from our governments and politics.

So IMHO Bitcoin is going to the immutable truth which hold the age of information and accountability together...

Buy the dip!

Cheers
Agree with you Smiley
Bitcoin is a solution to unite all people from the bottom to the top, the power of bitcoin is on the size of a solid community base, although there are those who fight for bitcoin for personal gain and enrich themselves.
But I am sure if everyone has an awareness of the importance of bitcoin then it's not possible for all of us to be able to use bitcoin for better things.

For your information, China will start to apply blockchain technology for government economic activities, so hopefully other countries can emulate this without banning Bitcoin.
691  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: One solid reason that I came across for the need of BitCoins. <Be Your own Bank> on: November 16, 2019, 07:18:35 AM
I recently went for USA Visa interview , i.e I applied for a business visa.

For the purpose of VISA, I needed the documents to show my bank balance, therefore I went for getting the bank statement sealed and signed from bank authorities. I am from India the bank in which I have account are one of the best banks in my country.

Now first I took out print out of 6 months statement, then went to bank physically, then the real pain started, they told me to put a seal and sign on my Bank Account Statement, they will charge 100 INR for one month's statement, and I felt cheated, I felt these guys are in a business of monopoly, for my money, my account, they are charging money from me just to authenticate that my balance amount is right.

We surely need crypto currencies, and do not need anyone else's validation to proof that we have our own money. More and More Power to BitCoin.
No matter how much money you have entered into banking, you must be ready to be fully controlled by the Bank.
You cannot avoid that because their rights are protected by legal basis made by the government. The only way is to save in the form of cryptocurrency like BTC.

What steps I am taking to make people aware of the power of bitcoin, and cryptos?
  • Helping them buy their first Bitcoins
  • Making the understand the power of bitcoin hash power.
Giving a basic introduction to BTC to the people closest to you is very important, so that it will spread to other people closest to you, then continue to help them how to buy bitcoin.
692  Other / Off-topic / Re: Do you think Gavin Andresen will make a comeback? on: November 16, 2019, 07:10:27 AM
I think Gavin chose to retire because he didn't want to be involved in the big player drama that is happening until now.
Maybe he is still active in the world of cryptocurrency but only behind the scenes because we know that he is one of the visionaries in cryptocurrency. There is a possibility he will return if the drama is over.
693  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 3 Concerns You Have For Bitcoin on: November 15, 2019, 10:06:19 AM
My main concern used to be about the adoption on Bitcoin, but after reading the Bitcoin white paper by Satoshi Nakamoto and I realized that the main reasons he created Bitcoin was just for cheap and fast transactions, though we have turned everything upside down and now see bitcoin as an investment because of the volatile nature of it.

I compared it as a payment method to other methods there is, and if you check you will see that there are people adopting the method. Just like PayPal, it's not everyone that makes use of PayPal, so that's the same thing with Bitcoin, I am not expecting everyone to be making use of it. You should make use of what works best for you.
Bitcoin has made changes to the payment system to be cashless.
Even though we know that the governments prohibit the circulation of bitcoin but it must be recognized if they have plagiarized what bitcoin has done. And all cashless is now monitored by banks.
694  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Banks do not control my bitcoins - Zimbabwe News! on: November 15, 2019, 09:59:11 AM
The main problem with Zimbabwe is that all of its natural resources and then its central government is being manipulated by outsiders, which is why the Zimbabwe government itself cannot overcome its unhealthy economic conditions which have an impact on the exchange rate of its currency.
As far as I know Zimbabwe also uses the Yuan currency to resolve debt problems with China
695  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitgoin is going to moon 1.5.2021 it will hit 236K on: November 15, 2019, 09:34:23 AM
whats ur crazy prediction for near future guys?
i say 16.6-20k tis year,
next year 35-66k
in 2 years 236K

short term:
https://www.tradingview.com/chart/BTCUSD/5C0E8dAy-2-golden-crosses-on-dailly-withing-a-year/

long term
https://www.tradingview.com/chart/BTCUSD/SBqOc6b2-BTC-will-resume-bull-trend-and-TP-266K/
the analysis you make is good, even graffiti charts also look interesting.
But you did not mention in detail how the price direction will get there, whereas we just do not know what the actual mechanism that drives BTC prices. Maybe BTC will go up, but not for now.
696  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which one makes sense on: November 15, 2019, 09:27:23 AM
Which one should come first? better to get through bounty before ICO/IEO fund raising or better to run bounty while fundraising is ongoing... Suggestion need
Participating before ICO / IEO has more potential to get big rewards because of the longer duration of time.
But you have to really monitor the project that you are taking part in because there are usually many projects that stop suddenly when fundraising is taking place, whether it's because of lack of investor funds or other factors .
697  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: My research for spam coins/tokens on: November 15, 2019, 09:21:54 AM
Have you ever invested or participated in one or all of the list of coins that you mentioned?
I think everyone will have different opinions about what you are discussing.
698  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Price Moving Towards $9500 Mark on: November 14, 2019, 06:13:44 PM
If BTC is able to penetrate the price of $ 8,500 it is not impossible that there will be a potential to go down again to the area of $ 8,000 or $ 7,300 because the weekly trend is still showing a decline.
It is still very long to hope that bitcoin will reverse the trend to see the current conditions. I prefer to wait at the beginning of 2020 to see the next price movement.
699  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Alt-coins with practical use on: November 14, 2019, 05:55:02 PM
ETH, Monero, Siacoin, IOTA, Golem, ripple are some of the well known coins which have a practical use. PERL coin came up with a good practice, the coin became opacity coin. What are the remaining alt-coins which have practical usage?
Practically what do you mean? If it is practical for daily needs, I think large altcoins like ETH, IOTA and Monero are still very feasible to be used as alternatives to exchanging with bitcoin because the transaction costs are cheaper than bitcoin. However, if the use is universal I think ETH is still very good potential for that, for example there are some marketplaces that have received payments using ETH.
700  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: You can share your own opinion if you have. on: November 14, 2019, 05:15:26 PM
a trader is more successful if he is a trader who is able to control his emotional psychology. Because now it's very easy to call himself a trader as long as he can click sell and buy in the market.
Investors are sometimes confused about where to decide which investments to make, whereas professional traders understand better what market conditions are.

I'm just a new trader who makes money for myself, with whatever capital I have.
2017 is a very profitable year for me because it is very easy to analyze almost all the altcoins in the market to be traded.
