6801  Economy / Gambling / Re: Stake.com - Watford FC Main Sponsor - UFC Official Betting Partner ⚽ 🥊 on: December 08, 2021, 07:42:09 PM
Unfortunately the site still does not work with the TOR browser.  Is this by design?  With so many people opting for their privacy these days, especially when it comes to things like online gambling, I imagine not being compatible with a certain browser has got to have an effect on revenue.  I'm just curious if this is an issue that is going to be resolved at some point, of it the new way of keeping users logged in is going to make it impossible for browsers like TOR to be useable on the site.
6802  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [WTS] Is it a million dollar bill? on: December 07, 2021, 09:04:07 PM
It sounds like you have a star note which is a replacement bank note - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Replacement_banknote

They're usually worth more than face value to a collector, read the wiki above to get some general information.
The number itself is also interesting. Thanks for the link.

I'm not sure I'd call the number itself interesting or having any additional value.  I assume you're talking about because there's a 69 in it?  There's got to be millions of other bills with that same claim.  If I'm missing something obvious feel free to point it out to me but it sounds like the "star note" value is what would give this any additional value.

https://www.mycurrencycollection.com/reference/star-notes/lookup

You can lookup your star notes here and see exactly how rare they are.  Many of them are produced in the millions, but depending on the year you may have one worth between $120-$2000 from a quick look at the market (literally took a 1 minute look so take that with a grain of salt).
6803  Local / Altcoins (Deutsch) / Re: Dualmining LHR T-rex mit3060ti Anleitung wie ich die Software einrichte on: December 07, 2021, 08:51:59 PM
Hallo.

Looks like a good night for basketball. We’ve got both the Nets and Lakers playing televised games on TNT tonight. I’m not betting, but I’d guess the Nets and Celtics will be taking home wins just based off of how their opponents have been playing lately. Won’t be much longer now until the Christmas Day games that we wait all year for. I hope all the players involved can stay healthy and covid free so we get a good show.
6805  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Jake Paul vs Tyron Woodley 2 - December 18 on: December 07, 2021, 12:50:53 AM
Big turn of an event I wonder if Woodley is fully prepared for this, it's 10 days to go before the fight, if Woodley already has an alibi because he is not yet in full shape, anyway it's still an interesting fight to see and a grudge fight too, Woodley has been trying to get a rematch now that it's on he should be ready in the 18th Jake Paul it seems si fully prepared, hopefully, we'll see a knock out here.

That's what I was thinking.  Woodley has an alibi if he loses and he gets the paycheck he's been asking for.  A win-win for him.  On the other side of the ring, Jake really had no other choice and is grateful I'm sure to still be able to collect a payday after setting up so much for the event.  The additional $500K bonus if Woodley knocks him out seems like the icing on the cake to make people know that Woodley has an incentive to try and win.  I'm not sure how many people care to watch this rematch though.  I know I don't.  If someone gets knocked out I'll happily watch the clip but we've already seen this spectacle.
6806  Economy / Services / Re: [FULL] ChipMixer Signature Campaign | Sr Member+ on: December 06, 2021, 10:24:27 PM
You really should increase the character count on this signature campaign.  Look at all the shitposts from useless spammers and trust abusers like suchmoon just to earn money from this campaign: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=234771;sa=showPosts

I think this might have turned into the biggest funder of spam and launderer of stolen funds on this forum.  Amazing what people will turn their heads to so long as the right pockets are being greased...
6807  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Rapper Snoop Dogg partnership with virtual blockchain world Sandbox on: December 06, 2021, 10:08:24 PM
Just another marketing ploy. I know that Sandbox is another nft game. I think these days that NFT games or any NFT art will be endorsed by a known celebirty for them to get more players and investors.
Well, it's been working and effective before so it will still be effective for some.

This seems like a pretty bad take.  The Sandbox has since added billions of dollars to their market cap as a result of the growth kickstarted by Snoop's partnership.  I also wouldn't classify it as an NFT game.  I think people could play in the sandbox and enjoy themselves without having any knowledge of NFTs whatsoever.  I've spent a little time in there now and I'm impressed with the development occurring.  My expectations were a minecraft style game that would be totally lame for anyone over the age of 10.  It has some potential though and I was pleasantly surprised by the experience offered.  Now if I could only snatch an Alpha Pass from someone...

Maybe we should crowd fund an alpha pass and pass it around so we can see more of what's in store.  Smiley
6808  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: I won $550,000 gambling on sports this month on: December 06, 2021, 10:03:30 PM
We always see people post about losses, but I won $550,000 this month betting on sports (soccer mostly), and it has truly changed my life! I mostly bet on total goals and match winner! Would love to know if anybody else has experienced this level of success!  Smiley

That is pretty amazing.  I'm curious if you became rich and then started playing around with gambling and that's why you do so in such large amounts, or if you worked your way up by gambling from a small amount to making millions.  I assume you got rich doing something else and are enjoying the fruits of your labor, but it would be one hell of a story if your account started with a $100 deposit and now you have life changing wealth.  Either way, congratulations.  Not many people ever get that sort of play around money.  I'm not sure if there's ever an amount of wealth I could attain that would have me playing with such a massive stack.
6809  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Potential price of Polygon (MATIC) next year on: December 06, 2021, 07:17:16 PM
I’m a bit surprised that Matic isn’t trading around $6 right now. I assume given a bit more time it will likely hit that mark. It is the #1 NFT chain by volume and they are making all the right partnerships. I think if you hold ETH, also buying Matic makes a good hedge against the gas price issue. The price also does still appear to be rising over most time periods, indicating that it is still in price discovery. I think Matic could have a very bright future. Particularly if NFTs on 2nd or 3rd layer Bitcoin solutions never become popular.
6810  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin is getting more bearish, what is the trigger? on: December 06, 2021, 07:12:19 PM
Too much leverage in the system that was set into cascading liquidations due to the hack and dumping of $150,000,000 from Bitmart. Historically these events have led to a full recovery and stronger market going forward. The timing is unfortunate since this is when Bitcoin is supposed to be rocketing upward, but there was too much leverage in the system so maybe this will turn out to be a blessing. It does kick the can down the road a little bit on the expected fomo top.
6811  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Tommy Fury vs Jake Paul on: December 06, 2021, 05:51:16 PM
I really can’t believe that Fury pulled out of this fight. The legend of Jake Paul continues on… I guess we’ll see if Woodley taking the fight more seriously has a different result. Personally, I’d be a bit worried if I were Jake. He’s done a great job boxing so far, but I don’t know if giving fighters a second crack at him is a good idea. The money train stops for no man so I guess Jake had to fight someone…
6812  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: December 06, 2021, 05:45:02 PM
Social media blowing up today on reports that Dame wants to pick up Ben Simmons in Portland. If Dame says it, Portland better make it happen. I don’t really see how they could pull that off, but it seems like the Dame/McCollum days may be numbered. This would probably be a good move for Portland, but more importantly it might keep Dame in a Trailblazers uniform.
6813  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: December 05, 2021, 10:00:34 PM

Anyways it's just a game warriors fans better luck nextime.
Actually I loss that game  Grin

I still trust the Warriors and I still believe they are the best team in the NBA now despite that loss. Just another bad game for the Warriors, it does not happen all the time, so we better watch out for the next game as they will certainly bounce back, should be easy money again.

Of course this is just one lost in the book, maybe they underestimate them or really tired because all their energy was on the Phoenix Suns game.

But regardless, they've learn their lessons in this lost and move forward and maybe next time they won't allow them to run over and have a 20 point lead because it's hard to overcome.

And they can comeback strong and we can recoup our loss in the future.

The next game of the Warriors is against the Charlotte Hornets, not a tough team to beat so the Warriors will probably start strong and finish strong in this game. No odds available yet, but I believe the Warriors are the heavy favorite to win this game since they always bounce back every time they lose, IIRC, they haven't loss twice this season yet.

I think the Warriors gave everything they had to beat the Suns and didn't have enough left in the tank after the quick turnaround to handle the Spurs.  They should be feeling a little better now I would think and will probably get back on the W train.

One thing that really impressed me during the Warriors Suns game was how Wiggins did the "Penny move" on CP3 for an easy bucket.  There's lots of videos circling around the internet showing that Wiggins actually uses this move somewhat frequently, which is interesting because I just read an article last week about how the "Penny move" hasn't been done in the NBA in decades...  Wiggins to me seems to finally be living up to his hype when he came into the league.  I think he's still going to get better and will be a major part of the Warriors postseason run.
6814  Economy / Goods / Re: Come in and Trade Ammo or Talk about Guns! on: December 05, 2021, 09:54:59 PM
Eh, I'll take effective over powerful.  Powerful suck to shoot and effective is fun.

That's a couple of good points there.  Powerful does suck to shoot.  Spend a day on the range firing 50 cals and you'll feel it...  Effective is also typically a smaller caliber for a few reasons.  Sure, recoil being one, but also when a large powerful bullet penetrates someone's body, it goes in and out and leaves a hole.  When you shoot someone with a .22 the bullet penetrates but a lot of the time doesn't have the power to go right through and turn everything in it's path into a hole.  Instead it bounces off bones and ricochets around in the body turning your insides into soup.  That's why in a lot of scenarios a smaller caliber bullet can be much more deadly.

I'm sure you already know this BayAreaCoins, but it seemed like a valid talking point.

You'd be shocked how much time and energy would be saved if everyone just kept this thought in their mind instead of trying to argue with me about everything.  Cheesy
6816  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why the Bitcoin logo is Orange ? on: December 05, 2021, 10:21:41 AM
Bitcoin logo is kept Orange why not any other colour?

Do anyone knows the reason behind it, the reason is secret let see how much we know about bitcoin?

If anyone succeed in giving correct answer, I will share their post number's below !!

Psychology my friend...  Everything in advertising boils down to psychology...  When it comes to logos, there are always lots of things at play.  One of my favorites (also orange) is the Amazon logo with the arrow that points from A to Z, symbolizing that you can find everything from A to Z there...  Google about logos and color schemes.  It's quite interesting and there are many examples of subliminal messages in common logos that you probably never thought about or noticed before.

"In the marketing world, orange is often used to portray youth, playfulness, and being bold. Orange is usually seen as healthy, energizing, and attention-grabbing."

6817  Economy / Goods / Re: Come in and Trade Ammo or Talk about Guns! on: December 05, 2021, 10:18:07 AM
Is it legal to sell guns on bitcointalk? Also is it legal to sell guns as a business, without a license, anywhere on the internet or offline?

What’s the most powerful handgun around at the moment as well?

If you're an American, guns are traded pretty easily without a license.  In some cases without a background check even.  Only in the states with low crime rates though.  The liberal controlled states with tough gun laws are quickly turning into scenes out of mad max so only the criminals trade guns illegally.

The most powerful handgun is likely to be a heavily debated topic, as I've seen some revolvers that shoot shotgun shells now...  In my opinion it's hard to beat the Smith & Wesson 50 cal though.  The stopping power of these things are beastly (although I'm more partial to a desert eagle).

It seems like that would probably earn you a reward if you were able to demonstrate it. The hard part is actually doing it instead of talking about it. If you are able to, certainly those would be valuable skills and we all would be appreciative that you are using them to help improve the forum.
6819  Other / Meta / Re: Proposal: Rename the "Press" board to "Spammer of the Month" board on: December 04, 2021, 11:09:44 PM
Many of the people complaining about news articles being posted are the same idiots who support Vod's spreading of lies, abuse of the trust system, and ultimately trying to extort me for $50,000,000.

Oh, right.  I forgot you view every topic through the lens of your ongoing feud with someone who no longer posts here to carry on the dispute.  Maybe get over it and stop allowing it to cloud your judgement on subjects which have nothing to do with that?

I think everyone should give up the Karen act and quit criticizing those who do put forth an honest effort.

Clearly you and I have very different perspectives around what constitutes "effort".  The entire point of this discussion is to define copypasta as "low-effort".  None of your biases against other forum users are valid arguments to challenge that.  If you have any relevant arguments to support the notion that copypasta somehow involves effort, feel free to present them.  Otherwise, please find another topic in which to whine about Vod.

I'm just pointing out the hypocrisy.  I get that people don't like it when their own bully act is turned around on them.  Don't act like you don't appreciate the opportunity to respond to earn your little $1 for your spam though, which I might add has no value whatsoever unlike the news articles you are complaining about...

We must have different views on a lot of things.  For example, I think you are the signature spammer who is making valueless posts, not the people documenting articles in a specific format so those who search topics years from now can easily gather information about them.  As for whining about Vod, I'm actually complaining about the hypocrisy of your spammer crew, not Vod's lunatic behavior that has been endorsed by them.

did you see the video when they were showcasing and broke the unbreakable window! Great idea, just a bit early.

Yup. I even heard Elon’s explanation of why it broke and that they fixed the issue with the doors breaking the glass prior to the ball being thrown due to the side impact of the sledgehammer.

My concern now is if this new 4-motor variant is going to be the first to be manufactured, how can I switch my order so I don’t have to wait another 2 years and will the self driving package stay at the discounted price as well as me keeping my place in line.
