6861  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Augur - a decentralized prediction market platform on: August 16, 2017, 08:46:07 AM
What's the difference between Augur and Stox?

At least people speak a lot more about Stox now. I think I'd rather put money in Stox for now, if I had to choose between two. Augur takes so long to actually develop something. Hmm, let' see, maybe they will work faster since new competitors are here.

thats the key! its takes too long in my opinion for product to be
released which leaves a window for competitors to move in
and steal the limelight and potential investments.

We are seeing this now with SIAcoin and FILEcoin....

6862  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [ICO] DIMCOIN The Future Of Equity on the Blockchain (FULL) on: August 16, 2017, 08:11:46 AM
It looks like the dimcoin.io website is down. Is anyone else getting this message [403 Forbidden]?

Page is blocked for US citizens because of SEC. You can reach the site if you use VPN.

It is weird. Can you explain what is "SEC"?
I think I saw it officially from DIMCOIN that they available on the USA, maybe I am miss something

The Securities & Exchange Commission ruled some ICOs are securities and subject to regulation so many of them stopped allowing US investment.  Dim was initially open to the US then changed mid offering after the ruling.

ohgod i didn't know that sec issued something on ico's, i guess this means that they are really watching the cryptocurrencies and its developments. just read their document

https://www.sec.gov/oiea/investor-alerts-and-bulletins/ib_coinofferings. kinda feel bad because its freaking one sided again, cryptocoins really have a bad impression on

governments. if i was not knowledgeable about cryptocurrencies, after reading the document i will probably stay away from it lol

personally I think there are some countries in the west
with their heads stuck in the sand while the likes of Australia, China,
Japan and South Korea and also other eastern countries which are
currently embracing to a degree crypto currencies.
6863  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [ICO] DIMCOIN The Future Of Equity on the Blockchain (FULL) on: August 15, 2017, 09:17:24 PM
yea I just tried to login there and still nothing
happening with it, kind of annoying and no
messages as to what is happening . . .

EDIT: ah no its live again, and I have logged in  Grin
6864  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Belacoin - Supercharging entrepreneurship with the power of the blockchain on: August 15, 2017, 09:13:38 PM
thanks again for the updates by The Ambia Fund.
The activity on the thread has been a little quiet
for the last while after things calmed down with Belacam.

Looking forward the tomorrow!!
6865  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Looks like another crash is coming!! on: August 15, 2017, 08:30:23 PM
I always thought that alt coins are always raising after bitcoin, but it looks like I was wrong. Almost all alts are in red on all exchangers. I don't know why it is exactly so, but suppose that people decided to say no to altcoins, the bigger mass of which are just shitcoins, and move on bitcoin which get double it's price in shorter period than a month.

All investors are trying to catch up with bitcoin with the aim of getting $5,000 right now. This is causing crash in all altcoins as usual.

This is a consideration for sure, there are some Alts that are pretty secure at the moment though,
Ethereum, Litecoin, Dash, Monero. While there are fluctuations they still seem to be keeping pace
with Bitcoin. Then there are other Alt's that are for sure suffering the current interest in Bitcoin.
6866  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Looks like another crash is coming!! on: August 15, 2017, 03:48:28 PM
ah yea its just going to be what I call "The New Low"
but it will bounce up only to come back to another new low
all the time gaining value.
6867  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I'm now a MILLIONAIRE because of NEO. on: August 15, 2017, 03:18:33 PM
I bought in early, and kept dollar-cost-averaging along the way. I now around 35,000 NEO which are generating me about .5 GAS per hour. With NEO, and the GAS making me free money 24hrs/day, I can essentially quit my job now, as income from GAS alone could pay my bills in my Country. Cool

great, well done! but if it was me the post above would read ". . . I HAVE quit my job"
but yea its just a number on a screen! you gotta get that out of kraken :-)
6868  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: NEO vs GAS? on: August 15, 2017, 02:19:49 PM
Thanks everyone for explaining. I just transferred my NEO off Bittrex and put it in a Neon wallet. It will give me gas now  Grin

Yay me too! Thank you for explaining prolly saved me some good money in the long run friends. Cheers!

That is great, I also have some NEO on my wallet, but I do not claim it for the GAS, and I do not know how trade them, thanks for you information, cheers!

from what I understand GAS is like nitrous-oxide in a street car
eventually it runs out and the engine in the street car runs like standard.

Seems like GAS is a kickstarter to get people interested in the technology
and to boost trading short term...
6869  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Siacoin long? on: August 15, 2017, 08:27:24 AM
I am a holder as well, bought it for the same reasons i keep it. Don't get spooked by numbers to much.some coins earn you profit over a day and others don't. I expect this one to be implemented by larger companies because of the lower prices. Rome wasn't build in a day. Remember the days when 100euro would have made you a millionaire in btc? Well i missed that boat, but here lays potential! Dirt cheap and ready to write history!

Well im more interested in the long term also and im also
interested in the technology because when its adopted
properly that is when we will see a healthy value for SIA
6870  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [ICO] DIMCOIN The Future Of Equity on the Blockchain (FULL) on: August 15, 2017, 08:23:21 AM
The thread manager haven't replied for a while to people's queries. Are there any important updates regarding the project ? Considering this is in ICO phase, any new updates will boost new investors in joining Smiley

Yes I think its important for them to keep a presence on the thread
and I agree being more proactive here would attract more investments.
6871  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Sia - Decentralized Storage on: August 14, 2017, 11:22:46 AM
yes but people are not willing to hold that long
there is too much temptation from other coins.
6872  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: SC coin keep dumping - :( on: August 14, 2017, 11:17:49 AM
There are soooooo many new altcoin ICO's being created
that a lot of people want to get on those and make big gains rather
than hold longterm.

IMO

The likes of SIA are being forgotten about or replaced in this case
by FILECOIN its looking like the next ship to jump onto, just as SIA
was the ship to jump to from STORJ, very few people are really
interested in the actual technology, its all about making millions of $'s  Roll Eyes
6873  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How much fee for a $2 Coffee transaction at the end of this Aug month? on: August 11, 2017, 01:24:42 PM
I mean after segwit is activated of course.

Also how does this fee compares to bitcoin cash fee? Which will be cheaper to the consumer?

Also if bitcoins are worth $millions in the future and 1 satoshi equals $1 then how do you buy 50cents gum/candy? Or does bitcoin anticipate that in the future fiat inflation is norm meaning cents pricing will be gone in the future.

In my very simple language I have read here a few times that
Bitcoin is not going to be used for such small transactions
instead it is used and will be used to move larger volumes.

I dont have any further explanations on this and maybe I
took a different meaning to other posts elsewhere?
6874  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 177 LTC , 34000 GNT , 28+ ETH stolen from my wallet on: August 11, 2017, 01:14:50 PM
Can't be really sure about what happened here since OP did not give full details of what happened (addresses, txs, support tickets). I would be so surprised to learn that Shapeshift collaborated with Exodus. As far as Exodus is concerned, isn't your private keys already available for you? You are only using the software, not storing the keys at them.

Googled Exodus scam and no good hits either. Unless he used a fake Exodus.

Yes this is what I thought initially! Exodus wallet I though was very secure
as the users are in control of the private keys, its not like an online wallet
on and exchange.

Hmm I dont doubt the OP and I am very sorry that it has happened to him
but I would think there is something else at play here with no disrespect to the OP.
6875  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [ICO] DIMCOIN The Future Of Equity on the Blockchain (FULL) on: August 10, 2017, 10:35:14 PM
ok thats great, thanks for the info.
I sent them my e-mail address and depotwallet address
but sent NEM from my nanowallet
6876  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Sia - Decentralized Storage on: August 10, 2017, 10:25:58 PM
Next month September we should see a new update
and some more activity on this thread which has been rather quiet lately . . .
6877  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [ICO] DIMCOIN The Future Of Equity on the Blockchain (FULL) on: August 10, 2017, 09:25:55 PM
So, what exchanges will you can add to trade DIMCOIN? For example bittrex or something like that.

Dimcoin is not yet listed on any exchanges, its just a matter of time!
6878  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [ICO] DIMCOIN The Future Of Equity on the Blockchain (FULL) on: August 10, 2017, 09:23:54 PM
Be sure to double check that you have received the payout email, it could be in your SPAM folder. We thank you for your patience.

Sounds Good,

I sent NEM to buy into this ICO but I didnt send an E_mail address
How will the DIM tokens/coins be sent back?

Apologies in advance if this is a stupid Q but I have read through
most of this thread and I didnt see it explained clearly?

I was just looking through the transaction from previously and I think I may have
messed up so I sent another small NEM transfer with my email and wallet address
hopefully that works?

EDIT: Just checked it and it has been confirmed!!
6879  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What coin buy today? on: August 10, 2017, 04:24:45 PM
everyone is just going to suggest their favourite coin!
you just cannot beat the top 10 or so coins on COINMARKETCAP!

It also depends what you ant from your investment, quick gains
or long term holding!

you just cannot go wrong with Bitcoin and Litecoin for the long term IMO.
6880  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Is it too late to buy NEO? on: August 10, 2017, 04:11:20 PM
Ask yourself, if you could go back in time and buy ETH at 30$, would you do it? If yes, than I suggest you buy NEO as well because it's an overall better platform, it's got a bigger market, and it's rather pessimistic to say it won't go over 250$. I believe with the rate this coin is growing, that we'll see 50-60$ by the end of this year, if not triple digits.

Agree with you. It's usually best to think about the long term.

I agree with the above. It is something to consider for sure the
fact that it has a bigger Market I.E. China!

I would still suggest buying some even now although I got some
at $18 and I'm holding long term.
