You're making me feel paranoid.

You are likely your own worse enemy in that respect.. so I would consider that it probably would be better to look internally than to expect that some udder peep is causing you internal issues.

Seems like "the market" still wants to suppress Bitcoin's price climb, eh?

None of this seems unusual to me...

Yeah sure we had some downward opportunistic inclinations, but what the hell do you expect after a 85% price increas in about 6 weeks or so and really nothing greater than a 12% price correction during that time, so the mere fact that we have a 19% price correction, so far and a bouncing around in around a 11% to 15% correction arena does not seem unusual at all, even if you might be trying to assign some kinds of conspiracy/manipulation events/actions to it, and even that some other twats might be making similar kinds of lame claims..

I am pretty convinced that derivatives hinder growth. I don't know how much, but since CME/CBOE things run different. Still, older factors have been removed, some are hovering (MtGox)...
What i know is that simple answers to questions about complex systems are mostly always wrong. So much for the conspiracy theories.

EDIT: And leverage. Did i mention leverage, yet? no?

I have some difficulties with claims that "bitcoin is getting held back".. yeah sure there are financialization dynamics, yet some of these variety of dynamics is a process including the extent to which folk are going to agree to have someone else hold their keys rather than holding their keys directly... and when people are shorting an asset (or fractionally reserving for that matter) in which possession can be achieved way better and easier than historical asset classes.. they do run risks of getting reckt pretty damned badly.. so yeah, sure there is some gaming of the systems, and surely some of us want some of those BIG players to get reckted into their senses in order to show the power of king daddy and the ability to hold it directly... even while some folks are playing games with it.

Had a hard day at work today..
Made half my years wages on bitcoin (XCP NFTs) in the last week.. HODLing in BTC..
Thinking "whats the point?"..
Dont really want to spend it..
One day..
I believe..

No matter the soon coming ATH I'll be hodling for years..
1 or 2 more halvenings..
Retire?

I can stay poor for a while longer..

Well hopefully you know how to calculate how much you need.  Measuring from one days price performance (or profits vampire sucked out of some likely worthless crap) may well be quite dangerous... and some of us (perhaps ONLY one) have methods to attempt to measure wealth, especially if held in bitcoin or thought about in bitcoin value accumulated, in order that we (royal, perhaps?) do not end up pulling the fuck you lever too early based on such bitcoin wealth accumulated.

Hint: think about potential bitcoin bottoms rather than tops nor bitcoin spot price, even though there tend to be quite a few variety of ways to calculate being able to retain fuck you status (and perhaps even excel within it, once you have determined that you have reached it - of course, within parameters that you set for yourself).

In the short-term, up or down from here?  who knows?  seems like wee noise to this here cat.  Did someone say weee?

Actually nothing you have ever said has nor will ever change my posting habits. j/k

You do you, whether anyone can relate or not and whether or not anyone has any affect upon your thoughts and/or actions.

I understand that you were joking and even perhaps exaggerating, but if we really try to be somewhat introspective (if we have such abilities), it seems to me that there tends to be several ways in which members on this forum likely change our thoughts and behaviors, especially the more that we involve our lil selfies in this here thread.

So even if you consciously deny being influenced, you are influenced.. believe you me.

Hah, this just reminded me of the time I lit my beard on fire at the bar and distracted my Buddy and his chick from the blowout they were working up too.

I have been a little bit reserved in terms of giving away the brand of cars that I tend to drive or own.. yet I suppose that a guy could also have multiple cars of differing brands that are driven on different occasions.. which sometimes may or may not be practical, depending on circumstances.  Maybe at this time I am over-thinking the matter?  Perhaps?  perhaps?

I have been looking at a variety of potential new cars too.. and based on my own thoughts, I have been considering various Luxury SUVs, but sometimes I do not like too BIG of a car either.. but if you are traveling by car, then sometimes BIG can come in handy.. ..  so there again comes the matter of potentially having one car for one purpose and another car for another purpose.. and if a guy ends up traveling quite a bit, the car may well not be able to come with to some locations, depending upon some of the travel details, including if flying is involved... so then a car in each destination and at that point buying might not seem as practical.

Masterbation will not kill you. #justsaying

A lot of things can kill you. A tiny clump of blood in the wrong place at the wrong time, a short-circuit in one of your tools, you get misdiagnosed and mistreated by your doctor (statistics say 10% of doctors will accidently fuck you up.)

And this kid died from jacking it: https://theboxhouston.com/8586872/brazilian-teenager-dies-after-masturbating-42-times-without-stopping/

In your case I would worry more about pissing off the wrong people.  Grin

I glanced at that death from too much masterbation article and it claims that too much masterbation led to lack of food and water for that particular 16-year old.. so I guess that is plausible with any extreme scenario.. and I was not even talking about that in my earlier post.

On your suggestion that me specifically pissing off the wrong people on the interwebs could lead to negative in-person ramifications.. . that seems to be a wee bit strange of an assertion.  Surely you are not presuming that my in-person interactions with people are likely going to cause anyone to want to inflict violence upon me.. because you likely do not even know much if anything about my in-person interactions beyond pure speculations.  Accordingly, I will say that I never tend to run into much if any kinds of situations in the real world in which I feel in danger in that kind of way.. not that certain precautions are not taken, either... so you may well have a lot of assumptions built into what you are proclaiming to be a risk.. including potential issues with some desires that some folks might have to break OPsec in order to express feewwings that they have had regarding ideas shared over the interwebs.. yeah there are a lot of psychos in the world (and sure sometimes we see some traces of some of that through some of the personalities that seem to get emotional about things that probably should not really bother them, and we also have some pretty retarded ideas that get shared and people get hurt feewwwings when they are told that their ideas are not the greatest thing since sliced bread).. Hopefully, you are not inclined to promote or encourage psycho behaviors (or prone to them ur lil selfie.. as you have expressed such seemingly emotionally-based desires in the past), unless I am reading you wrong... in other words, stop coming off as a butt-hurt dweeb.. unless again, I am reading you wrong.

When I first spun up my lightning nodes in 2019 they would possibly route 2 or 3 transactions (not my own) each month.

In 2020 they would process 2-5 transactions a week.

In early 2021 they would do 20-50 a month.

For the last week I am seeing HUNDREDS of transactions go through a DAY.

But what does that mean?
6925  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: El Salvador has become the first country to make #Bitcoin legal tender! 🇸🇻 on: September 09, 2021, 04:47:10 AM
Undoubtedly, this is another landmark in the history of Bitcoin. I'm almost sure the government of El Salvador made the right decision. I believe that these 550 BTC which were purchased at the current price of 45000 USD will double their dollar value over the next four years. Nayib Bukele is a great Bitcoin proponent.

Now El Salvador has begun to diversify its financial assets and reserves. Perhaps other countries will follow suit. I think the International Monetary Fund is unlikely to help them with this.

The International Monetary Fund (IMF) is a fiat-based organization. It will be ridiculous to expect them to approve this initiative. And this is also the reason why I was surprised when El Salvador asked the World Bank to help them with the implementation of Bitcoin as the legal tender. IMF, World Bank.etc are organizations that deal with fiat currency. What is the point in asking them to get involved with cryptocurrency?

Now regarding the Bitcoin purchase by El Salvador, in the long term it will obviously bring benefits for them. But I am more worried about short term fluctuations. The next presidential election is due in 2024. Hopefully BTC will be in six digits by then.

I have hardly any clue about the various matters that a world leader has to consider, but off-the-top of my head, it seems that strategically and in the spirit of openness, it would have been a good thing for El Salvador to formally ask for assistance, even if they already expected that the chances of actually getting assistance was going to be quite low.. maybe in the less than 30% odds (am I being too charitable) of getting some kind of a favorable response, but El Salvador still may have been served well by having had formally asked.
6926  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: September 09, 2021, 04:09:08 AM

Is there a link to any details about the Panama legal tender bill situation?

I suppose that I could Google the topic, if I were to want to actually go "out there" for supplementary (or actual?) information.  Perhaps?  perhaps?
6927  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: [LIST] Open Source Hardware Wallets on: September 09, 2021, 03:57:32 AM
As for LixinLiu and all the rest, if you look at the tweets from cobo and on the article I linked it does not mention him. So, look at it as someone who bought this product and got the shutting down info and has seen no other communication from the company.
LixinLiu was lead developer who worked for Cobo before, but when they decided to ditch their hardware wallet, he separated with his team, purchased license from Cobo and created new brand and company called Keystone.
They made some improvement changes in QR codes, changed place for entering SD card, code is the same like in Cobo but it will change in future.
It is a a good idea suggesting him to create new topic with support here in bitcointalk forum.

I got a call last night, did a quick (wrong) search and followed the few links that cobo provided and sow nothing.
Wait, so you actually own a Cobo hardware wallet?
I remember they offered some devices for free or with discount few years ago in forum.

Hey I am Lixin. One of our users shared me the link of this post in our Telegram group which guided me here.

Thanks for your explanation for what happened.

I am new here. Should I apply for opening a new topic (or maybe an AMA?) to answer people's questions about the rebrand?
(I don't want to break any rules here.)

Welcome to the forum.

As a courtesy to this thread and the thread users, you should probably start a new topic - especially since this topic is about a variety of open source wallets rather than just your own wallet, and presumably you are going to want to both promote your own product and to make comparison and contrasts that revolve somewhat around your own product rather than openly exploring various open source wallets, which seems to have been the intent of this here thread.

And for sure, you could put a link to your new thread here.  Of course some people are going to want to know that you are not a fake (which I see you made a subsequent post to attempt to address that), so you might need to provide some information to verify your representative status.

For sure, if you start a thread, you would likely be posting some links to overall introduction topics, and of course if specific questions are being raised in this thread they could either be answered here or in your thread (in which you would probably redirect people to the specific answers or the status of certain matters that might not have answers at the moment).

In your new thread, you may also want to provide some links to some podcasts because I believe I have heard interviews from you or someone else from your company/project at more than one time on some podcasts.  I cannot remember which ones, but you probably know about those more specifically - or if you believe any of the interview(s) might be helpful.

Masterbation will not kill you. #justsaying

The car repair sucks the most.

There surely can be a tough decisions on a personal level in terms of balancing expenses and investments, and likely the decisions are more difficult before you start to get close to fuck you status.

Risking OPsec, I will say that once I bought a new Motorcycle that happened to be a three years old model that apparently did not move much.. and surely that was a depreciating asset, even though the price of it was heavily discounted, too.  I did not buy a new car until around 25 years after leaving home.. I frequently would buy cars that were 3-5 years old and then drive them until they were 10-15 years old.

When I finally lapsed into buying a new car, I had done some repairs on my car and I probably even made some mistakes in the repairs, but I still considered it to be a pretty decent car that was having "emergency issues", yet since I was pretty damned busy at work, I decided to look at new cars, and even luxury cars.. and my first new car ended up being a luxury car, and I kept thinking holy shit.. I should have done this years ago.

But anyhow, at that time, I had not really considered myself to be very close to fuck you status, and I had not even known what fuck you status was, but I was getting to the point of having a networth that was starting to grown quit steadily and I started to notice that I had quite a bit of extra money that way exceeded the amount that I was investing too... So even though it was a decently large expense (depreciating at that), I felt that it was quite worth it.. and I did end up reaching entry-level fuck you status a few years later.. so even though I can proclaim that I have made some of these kinds of disclosures.. I had entered into fuck you status quite a while back.. and I will suggest, as well, that there is a quite a bit of additional comfort that comes to continuing to gain in networth after having had entered fuck you status.. as well as having extra cushions that car repairs are not likely to come up as often or to be bothersome - even though I will say that around 3 years ago, I was a wee bit irritated when my car did get hit (hit and run) in the parking lot, and I did have to spend around $1,500 to get the damned thing repaired in a kind of way that was NO WAY my fault, but it looked kind of bad to have that pretty big dent in it.

TLDR:  Probably what I am trying to say is: 1) sometimes you can spend money in relatively extravagant ways before you even reach fuck you status in order to bring peace of mind and it might not slow you down very much in getting to fuck you status, 2) even getting to fuck you status does not necessarily stop guys from necessarily feeling some needs to go through some difficult considerations regarding various ways to spend money whether to buy something new or repair something and to be frustrated by some of the trade-offs, 3) surely getting higher up in the fuck you status levels would probably both cause the expense to be less of any kind of actual concern and probably if there is any kind of level of frustration towards the concerns that are being created by the repair of a used car might cause inclinations towards buying cars that are newer, under warranty and less likely to be needing to be repaired and 4) we probably can never remove ourselves completely from some of the frustrations in life when we might sometimes feel that we have to spend some of our times in ways in which we would prefer not to spend our time, and probably we should not be getting too frustrated by the money aspect - even though sometimes we still might feel some frustration if we feel that someone might be charging way more than the deserve for a good or a service.. even though it is not really much skin off of our back, economically speaking. (even my TLDR is coming out kind of long.. fuck).

[edited out]

Wait, car repair was a brake issue right? I mean, you got pads ($50) Caliper ($150) worst case scenario rotors ($220) otherwise it's just a total of 4 bolts (once the wheel is off) and a bit of well placed grease. 45 minutes work,, tops.. How does this get to be over $500? (Me thinks your mechanic might be trying to pay for their kids braces... Jest sayin') You got a jack and a set of box wrenches? I can talk ya through it...

That's another angle too.. sometimes there might be too much gouging going on, even in regards to some seemingly relatively simple and straight-forward repairs.

The other day, I asked one of my in-laws about his work, and he said that his main work truck needed an engine replacement that was going to set him back anywhere between $4k and $6.5k depending on whose services he employed and depending on if he got a new one or a rebuilt, and there were varying warranty differences in terms of some of the possible prices, too.  So then I asked him what kind of problem the engine was having, and when he began to describe his "problem," I figured out that he hardly had any clue regarding what he was talking about, so of course, in those kinds of circumstances, guys are going to have troubles in both understanding what are the repairs and what are the options, and they are going to have troubles in terms of negotiating what are the various trade offs because they are not even really sure about what is the problem exactly and whether the representations of reasonable solutions are accurate either.  I did not really feel like pursuing the questions about what was wrong with the engine exactly because he hardly seemed to have many clues regarding how engines work, except that he was a bit skeptical about whether it needed to be replaced, even though he was not sure about what was wrong with it or how to put into words what he was told was wrong with it, except that he was told that it was needing to be replaced.  Seems that at least knowing the basics would probably be somewhat helpful.

Do you ever stop demonstrating your specialty in various aspects of retarded?

Did you read that idea somewhere or come up with it yourself?  #justasking

I know that this board has lots of single coin people, but If they come down on 90% of crypto, bitcoin would get cut not in half, but by 70-90% and here is that.

I was about to send you an smerit for the above-referenced post froggie.. for your analysis rather than whether I agreed with what you were saying, but then you made this seemingly dumb statement regarding the tail supposedly wagging the dog, and fuck that nonsense... you lost all semblance of credibility for your contributions within other decently reasonable points that you seemed to have had been making in that post prior to your falling off the reality cliff.

I know this sounds crazy for many of you. But I wanna think further than tomorrow. And wanna secure my future. I am not willing to let these people control my life. And I wont give them everything I own. So better I blow everything I have into shit. Or find a way out.

Oh my!!!!

Yes.. you come off as a wee bit crazy or at least as if you are having some difficulties getting out of black and white thinking.

One problem is to take any kind of event that has something like less than a 1% chance of happening and putting any kind of meaningful preparation into it.

So you seem to be assigning a low probability to a scenario that you outlined, and then you are putting 100% into preparing and acting as if it were true..   That's nearly the exact definition of crazy.

Even though attempting to predict the future and trying to plan for the future, let's attempt to get back to basics.  We should strive our best to attempt to put the amount of preparation and action into scenarios in proportion to the probabilities that we assign to each of the possible scenarios.  Sure, of course, this attempting to weigh various scenarios is complicated because there are so many factors and no matter what we are not likely to even close to exactly correct, but we can still attempt to give ballpark assignments to various possibilities and just do our best and to tweak along the way by reassigning and maybe changing some of our actions based on new information and even changes in our own circumstances (psychological and financial or otherwise).

TLDR:  Do our best to ballpark estimate various scenarios and match our behaviors to our best guestimates (which includes tweakening along the way).

Yeah JJG is all time be proud of    Kiss

I was wondering what happened to my alt..

there you are.

 Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy

Just keeping in mind on your writing and knowledge, There are many like me who follow you as I follow you just not writing increased some knowledge. I don't know the details but there is greatly to learn from you even though mind takes a long time to read your discussion, many people are annoyed but I think there is numerous information available from there.

I admit that sometimes I do get a wee bit wordy (and repetition and muddling of ideas, too), but some ideas do tend to take a bit of time and space to flesh out, as well.

One of the seemingly great dynamics of bitcoin is that there is quite a bit of inspiration for people to share knowledge for free - and of course, we might well profit on a personal level by attempting to share knowledge and experiences (and to learn through laying out such ideas), but we might be able to indirectly (maybe not so tangibly) profit from the overall bitcoin space being somewhat better informed by attempting to debunk some of the bullshit, misleading and distracting ideas that sometimes come across some of these threads that are supposed to be mostly about bitcoin.

By the way, after a while many of us get better and better ideas about the characters behind the various avatars herein, and surely we can see some of their weaknesses and strengths - and even if we might not put some of them into our trust network, on a more informal (and perhaps subliminal) level we learn to know which ones we might be able to trust for certain kinds of information and representations.. and surely some of the guys (and even gal) that we might not even like can still be helpful in our own learning and grappling with this ever evolving space ---- (hey evolving-- but still very strong foundational aspect had already been laid by satoshi.. and there are a lot of good peeps who are assisting in carrying various aspects of the satoshi-laid mantle through time).
6933  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: September 08, 2021, 06:54:54 PM
If you hodl, it's best to trust Satoshi Nakamoto

Hm?  Curious about this point.

We are trusting satoshi because he is dead, disappeared or otherwise not available and unlikely to return or for some other reason.

I understand that bitcoin is not necessarily completely trustless - but it is an attempt at trust minimization.. .. .and of course, even trust minimization has various ramifications in terms of actual applicability.

By the way, some of us peeps who proclaim to be less technically competent do have inspirations to attempt to learn more about the technicalities, but of course, learning about all of the technicalities is not completely necessary in terms of understanding the various underlying strengths of bitcoin's bullish investment thesis.

And, sure there can be a lot of people who also do not understand politics, economics, psychology, game theory and other more soft sciences - including personal financial management and prudent attempts at reasonable OPsec practices, but seems that bitcoin could inspire them to attempt to learn and/or improve those kinds of knowledge and skills, too.

For sure, it is making more and more sense to be attempting to be directing younger peeps to get involved in bitcoin and to attempt to learn various aspects of bitcoin without, hopefully, getting too distracted into some of the shitcoin related baloney.. and learning early can help to navigate the future in better ways and even perhaps invest in bitcoin along the way too, so that there is a kind of getting rich and personal self-fulfillment all built into one... even with a variety of outcomes too because even if many of us share interest in bitcoin, we still are not necessarily going to reach the same balancing of trade offs in terms of how to spend our time and our money.. and how we might learn whether we are more mathematical, more artsy fartsy, some kind of hybrid or someone with "difficult to place" talents and perspectives.

A bit late to the party with this dip, but my god if this doesn't look like a concerted effort to make Bitcoin look like shit as a country adopts it for the first time I don't know what does.

This is absolutely an effort to by larger forces to mess things up. Some of the increase over the last few months was probably due to purchasing of coins by this manipulators in preparation for this dump.

I expect I return to the spike low of 42k and some real decent buying to follow.

These arseholes are just delaying the inevitable, they know their criminal monetary episode is over, and they are starting to fight back.

Luckily for us Bitcoin has a hard limit on supply, and being that us and more (growing everyday) will keep buying the dip every time no matter what. The powers that be are fucked.

We are not talking about "cryptocurrency" in this here thread; we are talking about bitcoin.

Hopefully you understand the difference.
I love the fact you put things straight. A lot of people for some reason consider Bitcoin just as another crypto but fail to realize the difference between Bitcoin and all these newly crested coins.

Bitcoin definitely has value for the future but altcoins don't, at least most of them.

Part of my reason for harping on this topic so much is that there needs to be some clarity in thought in terms of what people are talking about, and surely the investment thesis for bitcoin is not exactly the same as some shitcoin, and if someone is using the term "crypto" or "cryptocurrency" and they really are talking about bitcoin then just say bitcoin and don't be using such a stupid-ass ambiguous term to talk about bitcoin.

On the other hand, if they are talking about some broader concept or other aspects of the cryptocurrency space beyond bitcoin, then sure it can be acceptable and even somewhat clear to use "crypto" or "cryptocurrency" in those kinds of contexts, even if it is somewhat vague and a kind of general reference.

In terms of this particular thread involving considerations about how to invest in bitcoin using leverage, credit or loans, surely the considerations that apply specifically to bitcoin may or may not apply to other "cryptos", and it is not really fair to anyone to take a topic that was originally intended to be about bitcoin and then just assume that all of the same principles and considerations can or should be applied in the event that a person would like to invest in some other random crypto...

Furthermore, if OP was specifically asking and talking about bitcoin, then why the hell even attempt to expand the topic to any kinds of broader topics or other investments unless there is some kind of reason to make such discussion in order to potentially help to inform the topic or to attempt to address the considerations that the OP raises in regards to bitcoin investing. Surely, there are other forum threads or even other forums to take those kinds of topics - rather than likely muddying this here thread with only quasi-relevant considerations at best, and likely just unneeded areas of discussion that might even be purposeful distractions or cause a slippery-slope devolution into more and more irrelevance (ie - nonsense).

@brian_armstrong
1/ Some really sketchy behavior coming out of the SEC recently.

Ok, I've seen enough. Bitcoin under $10k before the end of the year. The SEC always wins.

For sure the actions and struggles of Coinbase in regards to various shitcoins and various uncertainties of their battles with departments of the US Govt are directly correlated to BTC prices.. right?

Let's opportunistically grasp for straws, donkey-breath.    Shocked Shocked Shocked

Please explain ur lil selfie and the charts that you provided, dude.

hahahahahahaha

I know that you cannot.   Tongue Tongue

This took a long time for me to do.

Realistically I should be at 20 coins.
Reality  is I am not .

I am in the 1-10 zone.

If you count the gear. I am pretty good.
If you count the coins I am meh.
If you count the debt I am very good.
If you count the cash I am meh.

It is tough I have access to 1.15 mega watts

I am using .3 megawatts .

Now the power deal should last for years to come. Buying gear responsibly is very tricky.
I really really really try to dca the gear.

So I did not buy any 15000 usd s19 pros but we only got two s19 pros when they were 2500.

Of course that was last Year July 2020 and mining was shit. A 2500 S19pro was meh. I did get a 850 s17 pro a really good buy. It earned back all the btc I paid and I can sell it for 4 k easy.

But yea this has morphed into a job.
and 2021 has been good to the four of us. in on this deal.

2018 was meh
2019 was meh 1 or two good months
2020 has three good months
2021 every month was good. 8 for 8 never happened in any year I mined.

Some harsh realities there, philip.  Oh my.  I should not razz you so much (even though sometimes you really do deserve such razzing).  You some off as a working animal, so to speak... kind of like Boxer..... from Animal Farm, if peeps don't know the reference.    Cry Cry Cry Cry

Lol the people who don't understand the deflationary nature of BTC and sold are going to be bitter once this dip is quickly eaten up again... Nows the best time to buy I would say.

Or long, with badass leverage.
I'd go for 75x or even more.

On way to go from being kind of a coiner with a 0.3292433 coiner stash to a no coiner.. quickly.

Very quickly.   Wink

Goddammnit!
How many times do I have to post this before it sticks?

Just posting something like that will not necessarily make it so.

Who do you think you are?

Some kind of commando trekkie?

Kind of looks like it..

It's gonna hurt your franchise, homer.   Tongue Tongue

Think about it froggie..

BTC prices went up 85% in about 6 weeks without any correction that was greater than 12%.. so this correction of 19% (so far) should not be considered as any kind of BIG deal beyond possibly a buying opportunity - to the extent that BTC prices even stay down for very long, at all.

I hope same think The way Bitcoin has been on the rise for the last few weeks needs some correction because now some more new people will be joining Bitcoin. Bitcoin has corrected and moved closer to it's highest point, but it would be a mistake to estimate how much Bitcoin's breasts actually are.

I would not proclaim that BTC actually "needs" a correction, but more that we should not be surprised when a correction happens,.. even a 19% (so far) correction.. does not seem unusual to me at all.. especially given where we are at and how we got here.  I don't exactly know what bitcoin needs, but I am not going to be surprised if the BTC price does not just continue in the same direction perpetually.. that would not make too much sense...so really any of us who have been in BTC for a while should not be shocked by this kind of correction, even though the vast majority of the wick down was quite violent and happened in about less than 20 minutes from $50k to the $42,900 bottom of this "so far" correction.

I am not sure what you mean by "breasts" Subbir?  Are you talking about tops?.. I will say that going from $28,600-ish to $52,956 was a possible sub $55k stopping point before entering into noman's land (from about $55k to $80k).. which is a kind of area that is close to the previous $64,895 top.. so I have a kind of sense that when the BTC price starts getting close to our current ATH of $64,895, then it is likely to just shoot to that price point and to shoot right past it.. and our current correction (so far) does seem to provide some abilities to the buying support to keep up to make it a wee bit more likely to be able to pass through noman's land (of about $55k to about $80k) without too many corrections nor pauses therein...

I am just attempting to outline a sense of what could happen in regards to bitcoin dynamics when we start getting towards previous ATHs, especially if there has been a significant interrim since last visiting such previous ATH (and so far we are at nearly 5 months since we were kissedtm (d_eddie) $64,895, rather than what will end up happening because in the end, sometimes BTC's actual price performance will not play out in ways that seem to have amongst the higher level of chances... so we will see? we will see?

We needed a diversion!
I bet no one thought of it happening today; Bitcoin shedding off around $6k in less than 24hrs is unbelievably terrible.

There is no reason NOT to call it a $10k correction in 7 hours.

It is actually what happened, even though there was also a bounce back.. to cause such $10k correction to only be a $5k to $6k correction in terms of "so far" plateauing price points.

I wonder if Im going to panic sell and lose all my money, again... I feel like I got this Roll Eyes. But just in case, maybe some HODL motivation meme gifs? Much appreciated. Thanks. Grin
... Lemme go in search of one for you. But whatever happens before I get back, don't sell off! It's a bear trap!

😆😆

Peeps are really dumb sometimes.... What's the point?  I can take pain and also I can take my flesh being punctured..

Ok....  Great.  Call me boring, if you must.

My interpretation of that is to never run out of fiat.

Easier said than done..

There were a lot of guys in May/June of this year that ran out of fiat with our dip down to lower $50ks and then down to $40ks, and by the time it got to $30ks they had no money left.

A similar thing happened during the longer dip periods of 2014 to 2015 and in 2018 too - especially in November 2018 when the BTC price dropped from $6k to $3k.. lots of peeps ran out of dip buying moneys (aka fiat) in around the $6k arena... blew their whole wadd... or wadds.

.. ended up buying 10x more than I should have according to my very strict DCA discipline that even JJG would be proud of.
I am not proud of mistakes.

No mistakes should be made.

I was wondering what happened to my alt..

there you are.

 Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy

Off for BBQ at the shitcoiner cousin's place. Won't mention Bitcoin (or crypto), I'd like to enjoy my steak and burgers.

Good luck to NOT talk about bitcoin or crypto or any of that.

By the way, I have an in-law who really gets on my nerves with his inclination to talk about shitcoins, too.. I don't see him too often, but sure, I know the feeling of just avoiding the topic.. but he does seem to want to at least mention it.... so maybe you will have better luck in that regard.  Perhaps? perhaps?

Well shit I just sliced my goddamn toe and blood everywhere!

I dropped a hammer on the tile and have been too busy (lets call it busy because I hate to admit to being lazy!) and was soaked after a shower and just slipped right into the sharp edge dammit.

Toes Bleed ALOT!!!

Ouch.

edit still buying 30 dollar chunks

You must either be richie or feeling richie..

How many $30 chunks did uie-pooie buy?

Who got angry at bitcoin (and the rest)...who...who?
..so f-g tired of gotchas and rug pulls.

It's the Cabals showing the world how bad bitcoin is lol. I fully expected this to happen.

Though you didn’t share those opinion “pre-happening”

Yes... exactly.. there are so many geniuses after the fact..

Go figure.

I'm probably retarded, tho.

No need to ask that question.   Wink

Fuck I put the decimal point in the wrong place... may have accidentally overcorned a bit.

There is almost no such thing as "overcorning."  You better look it up, and come back and report to this thread with your tail between your legs.. #nohomo
