I also asked myself this question when I wanted to connect to the flash mob ... but I cooled down and came to the conclusion that they were just photographing each other. you are welcome to join our baller club - all you need is a cool ride and some Bitcoins in your wallet and then the three of us can take pictures of each other

When I first spun up my lightning nodes in 2019 they would possibly route 2 or 3 transactions (not my own) each month.
In 2020 they would process 2-5 transactions a week.
In early 2021 they would do 20-50 a month.
For the last week I am seeing HUNDREDS of transactions go through a DAY.
But what does that mean? It's showing the adoption of the Lightning Network. More transactions happening today than last year, at very low fees. These are considered "off-chain" because they are not on the L1 main-net. This is good news. What the numbers translate to, we can't know for sure, it just means lots of people are using bitcoin.

Masterbation will not kill you. #justsaying
A lot of things can kill you. A tiny clump of blood in the wrong place at the wrong time, a short-circuit in one of your tools, you get misdiagnosed and mistreated by your doctor (statistics say 10% of doctors will accidently fuck you up.) And this kid died from jacking it: https://theboxhouston.com/8586872/brazilian-teenager-dies-after-masturbating-42-times-without-stopping/In your case I would worry more about pissing off the wrong people.

But what does that mean? .... give yourself a wee slap JJG, it means Metcalfe's Law is now effective on Layer2 networks as well ... value of the network scales as the square, power 2, function of transactions as proxy for connectedness Edit: actually pondering this a little further the Lighting network has a much better metric for connectedness in the Metcalfe Law sense than the mainnet, payment channels .... is anybody collecting that data, how many total channels open on the network over time?? https://papers.ssrn.com/sol3/papers.cfm?abstract_id=3078248 ... needs updating for L2

Not because every Nike shoe i put on my feet starts to stink after a short while. Even Nike Skateboarding models, of which i got a pair since three years now. Not that they are so durable, but i use em only to mow the lawn. Skating in them makes me wanna put them outside in the sunlight for two weeks

Yeah... Im sure you have no stake in advertising this product. Im not angry, the quality of the shoes looks low. Im sure you could buy these from China for like $3.29 cents. Even the commentators on twitter are shitting on the shoes... $130USD for a pair? Lol. Its basically the scamcoin of shoes.

But what does that mean? Well it means that at least from my teeny little vantage point lightning network USE is increasing exponentially. I could be an outlier, but I doubt it. I have added a few channels recently, and have dropped my fees, but I do not think either of those things has a huge impact. Moving my fees around does not seem to change the traffic much (which is interesting). But traffic on the LN is sort of opaque. So i can only really look at the data I have. And that data STRONGLY suggests use is going up. The number ot public nodes and channels has been increasing somewhat parabolically for months and months. This site shows some data, and it all suggests serious growth: https://bitcoinvisuals.com/And none of this takes into account opaque or private nodes and channels, as well as custodial use. Which includes almost ALL the LN phone apps. Strike, WoS, Chivo, Bluewallet, Muun, Pheonix, Breez etc etc etc. But that use going up also accounts for why I might be seeing my traffic explode. I cannot say for sure (feature, not bug) but I would say it is quite positive.

But the flip side is the LN has a not public side as well. The WoS node alone represents a massive amount of users as to all nodes for custodial service providers. And neutrino nodes with a single channel are all over the place too, and it's hard to say how many there are. Even the end user does not know what channels he has open to where as those apps manage all that behind the scenes. I suppose it could be possible to analyze traffic to help determine...

yah, don't do that We needed a diversion! Well played, Sir... Well played. Hah, this just reminded me of the time I lit my beard on fire at the bar and distracted my Buddy and his chick from the blowout they were working up too. Lol good times. If those are good times, then I am starting to wonder about my own brain-washenings? Are you sure that you are not that same guy with the red hat in that earlier video/meme that put his forearm into the bear trap? Number go down. LFC’s car game go up - New ride. also a new ride - thanks BTC Two phones as well? You baller! edit: I am not awake in the least. I also asked myself this question when I wanted to connect to the flash mob ... but I cooled down and came to the conclusion that they were just photographing each other. you are welcome to join our baller club - all you need is a cool ride and some Bitcoins in your wallet and then the three of us can take pictures of each other I have been a little bit reserved in terms of giving away the brand of cars that I tend to drive or own.. yet I suppose that a guy could also have multiple cars of differing brands that are driven on different occasions.. which sometimes may or may not be practical, depending on circumstances. Maybe at this time I am over-thinking the matter? Perhaps? perhaps? I have been looking at a variety of potential new cars too.. and based on my own thoughts, I have been considering various Luxury SUVs, but sometimes I do not like too BIG of a car either.. but if you are traveling by car, then sometimes BIG can come in handy.. .. so there again comes the matter of potentially having one car for one purpose and another car for another purpose.. and if a guy ends up traveling quite a bit, the car may well not be able to come with to some locations, depending upon some of the travel details, including if flying is involved... so then a car in each destination and at that point buying might not seem as practical. Do I want a bitcoin symbol on my shoe? When I am on the street, I am considering that there might not be anything offensive in labelling me as a nocoiner if you must... For some strange reason, I won't even take such nocoiner labelling as personal. I glanced at that death from too much masterbation article and it claims that too much masterbation led to lack of food and water for that particular 16-year old.. so I guess that is plausible with any extreme scenario.. and I was not even talking about that in my earlier post. On your suggestion that me specifically pissing off the wrong people on the interwebs could lead to negative in-person ramifications.. . that seems to be a wee bit strange of an assertion. Surely you are not presuming that my in-person interactions with people are likely going to cause anyone to want to inflict violence upon me.. because you likely do not even know much if anything about my in-person interactions beyond pure speculations. Accordingly, I will say that I never tend to run into much if any kinds of situations in the real world in which I feel in danger in that kind of way.. not that certain precautions are not taken, either... so you may well have a lot of assumptions built into what you are proclaiming to be a risk.. including potential issues with some desires that some folks might have to break OPsec in order to express feewwings that they have had regarding ideas shared over the interwebs.. yeah there are a lot of psychos in the world (and sure sometimes we see some traces of some of that through some of the personalities that seem to get emotional about things that probably should not really bother them, and we also have some pretty retarded ideas that get shared and people get hurt feewwwings when they are told that their ideas are not the greatest thing since sliced bread).. Hopefully, you are not inclined to promote or encourage psycho behaviors (or prone to them ur lil selfie.. as you have expressed such seemingly emotionally-based desires in the past), unless I am reading you wrong... in other words, stop coming off as a butt-hurt dweeb.. unless again, I am reading you wrong.

I like Cupsoles and the Nike SB was a single attempt to try a shoe with a vulcanized sole again, mainly because of better board feel but also with sufficient shock absorbance through their superb insoles. Asics are too wide for my foot, as are Vans. Maybe i try Adidas in the near future just to not leave em out. I wore Adidas shoes in 1988 last time. Seems like "the market" still wants to suppress Bitcoin's price climb, eh?
