6921  Economy / Economics / Re: Current Market state on: March 22, 2019, 04:26:00 PM
The market is not what it was last year and at the end of 2017 but is very possible, in next months something will happen and market will grow again higher then ever if a lot of investors will come and put money on crypto.

That's why it's really important to buy in this dip and just hold for the long haul.

Although the state of the market is not what everyone wanted to be, we can't do anything except to take advantage of the prevailing market and buy top 10 coins because they are all cheap.

And when the right time comes for the market to make a rally, at least you have prepared yourself for the imminent bull and make a lot of money again just like 2017.
6922  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Which Altcoin brought your biggest profit? on: March 22, 2019, 04:18:14 PM
Ethereum - I sold some during it's peaked in January 2018. And then Monero, XRP, LTC in December when they are almost at their peaked price. Ah, those are the days, but I'm not frustrated though, this is the time to accumulate and not to complain about the worsening market conditions.

And so when the next bull run occurs, at least you have fatten your portfolio and just want for the right opportunity to book our profits.
6923  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Huobi vs BNB on: March 22, 2019, 03:33:57 PM
I think BNB will beat Houbi. Because its Binance. It's one of the most trusted exchanges and one of the leading one too. Although that its too early to tell but BNB will still outmaneuver Houbi in the long run.

This is the main reason why Binance is really hard to beat at this point. They are still the number exchanges and despite so many attempts by other exchanges to topple them, they releases BNB on top of that so game over.

As much as Huobi token might take off in the future, BNB has the foothold. Yes, it's early to tell but I'm sure BNB is looking at the competition and will make certain adjustments so that they will remain on top of the competition.
6924  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: Bounty coming soon. Would you like to be the first to know about it? on: March 22, 2019, 03:12:15 PM
It's seem that you have been hyping your project for a long time now. And I do hope that what you are going to offer is something unique otherwise this whole hype will just die down.

Anyways, good luck, it seems that you have open the doors so I'm sure a lot of bounty hunters will be looking to your campaigns very soon and just like a said, you make a good marketing to hype your project so I'm sure they will instantly join you, again, best of luck to you and your project.
6925  Economy / Speculation / Re: This has happened in the past! on: March 22, 2019, 03:07:09 PM
If you sell now you will be regretting when bitcoin get to $50,000 or $200,000 in some years to come as it has happened before and most times we regret selling too early.
Keep holding and the future is for you!

Of course, there's always that big possibility that bitcoin will have it's another day in the sun so to speak. So if you accumulate at 2018-2019, then you should hold on it and wait till the price goes to the moon again.

Some are saying that a lot of similarities in the 2014-2015 graph with 2018-2019 of today. And we all know what happens next in the previous years as bitcoin grows massively and peaked at $20k. The only question is how big is the next bull-run so we better hold and look fo long term.
6926  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: JP Morgan completely changes its stance on bitcoin on: March 22, 2019, 03:02:43 PM
They didn't change their stance on bitcoin or the rest of the crypto.

What they did is have their own token, (I wouldn't call it a crypto), and take advantage of blockchain technology. Also, you have to understand that this is a private token and for their own personal used only. So there's nothing to celebrate with those news.
6927  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is there any TA guys you trust? on: March 21, 2019, 03:56:50 PM
Good question. Personally, I just look at tradingview and read the TA of traders. But I don't follow particular guy though, I don't know but I would rather do my own TA or at least learn how to create my own so that I won't have to blame someone if things doesn't went as it predicted.  Grin

So if you are not familiar with TA, then I suggest you dig more and try to learn it by yourself. Here is some cheat sheets for beginners, https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=4846473.0.
6928  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Should we call it a trend or a wave? Or something else? on: March 21, 2019, 03:42:17 PM
So basically last year was full of great ups and downs, but this years bitcoin doesn’t have that amazing news or the great interest from the people who doesn’t invest or doesn’t own, like last year my father came and asked me about btc (when it went higher than 10k$) but now it is just back to the normal state which is only interest from the holders.

What do you mean by normal state? Bitcoin is very unstable so I don't understand what normal state is.

So let me re ask my questions: Do you think it was just a trend? Or it is a wave that has ups and downs, and will come back again?
Or do you think it is just something normal to happen since people believed it is just a trend?

/discuss

Of course it will come back to $10k or even more. I wouldn't say it's a trend either. Trend just simply die, while bitcoin is really based on supply and demand. Maybe today the supply is not that good, but either way we are expecting a big increase in 2020 specially when bitcoin halving occurs.
6929  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: SHIT COINS WILL ALWAYS DISAPPOINT on: March 21, 2019, 03:32:47 PM
I have to come realize that because someone made huge profit from a newly listed coin or a shitcoin doesn't mean it will go the same way of profit for you.

Good for you, at least at this point of your crypto journey, you realized what shitcoins really means, lol.

I had bought some few shitcoins and newly listed coins that were making some waves, those coins are currently a shadow of their entering prices. I should have left my money in bitcoin instead of gambling with my bitcoin and end up been burnt. Some of these project have technical issues, which I think will end up killing the project.

Right, bitcoin is the right invested at this bear market. Those shitcoin will be just used by a lot of bad actors to put their narratives, to earn more money from noob investors.

We can always play safe with bitcoin/fiat or bitcoin/USDT or just leaving our holdings in good altcoins rather than getting on a rat race chasing shitcoins for possible Lambo, which in effect will lead to  wrecking and regretting.

There are altcoins, specially in the top 5 to be a good investment long term. As I have said, it's hard to chase shitcoins who going to be like x100 or x1000. Just put your money on bitcoin and you will be safe in the long haul.
6930  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Profitable Cryptocurrencies to Mine on: March 21, 2019, 09:34:04 AM
I think mining is not enough giving profits for this situation especially Bitcoin mining is also be not profitable that it will not give the exact profit that I expected because the energy consumption is more higher when comes to electricity it cost around 90 % of my income so the prophet was very low.

Correct, bitcoin is no longer profitable even if you have lots os hardware, maybe you can just break even in the long run.

The other coins that the OP listed is also not profitable, for me its better if you like just running a master node, although it cost something in the beginning, but if you're able to find a lucky gem amongst those start up coins, I'm sure you can make a lot of profits.
6931  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2019 NBA Season on: March 21, 2019, 09:29:03 AM
Looks like OKC is on a slide lately, Toronto beat them in OT 123-114. Westbrook came back strong with 42 points, and tie the score in regulation with a lay-up. Actually they have a chance to win the game, but his 3 was short. And then Toronto took over the OT game and never gave any breathing room for OKC. Siakam lead the way for the Raptors with 33 point together with 13 rebounds.

There's also another exciting game, Miami Heat snaps San Antonio 9 game winning streak with a big 110-105 win. For most part of the game, San Antonio trails, but pulled as close to three points in the last two minutes.

But then vintage Wade shows up again, stole the ball from DeRozan with 9.1 seconds left. Miami solidifies its final spot in the play-off with this win.

Wade will have his last playoff appearance this off season and I'm very optimistic with that.
If they can make it to the last spot of the playoff ranking, it will be hard for them to beat the no. 1, as Giannis will surely not gonna give them a chance.

I agree, we would love to see him for the last time and what a better way to end it when he goes against the new faces in the East - Giannis A.

And I'm sure that Miami's chances are slim against Milwaukee, but it will be a good farewell game for Wade and I won't be surprised if they get at least a win. Grin

Yeah me too i'd love to see dwade make the playoffs and probably even advance to the second round lol. That's just the dwade fan in me speaking. The guy's done a lot for the game and the franchise and it would be very fitting to lead a playoff stint one last time. Unlike some of his draftmates lol 😝😝😝

It would be really a cinderella ending to DWade's legacy if ever they can upset the Bucks. Just last one dance before calling it a day. However, Bucks is really looking solid behind Giannis so I don't think that there are upsets in round 1 of the playoffs for Milwaukee.
6932  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: ‘Bitcoin Is Not Money’ Because We Cannot Print It – Banks on: March 21, 2019, 09:04:14 AM
Can they make a good excuses next time? Seems to me this is just a rehearse and have heard this kind of lame excuses before.

A good example is precious metals, they used to be a medium before, but since we can't print it, can we can call them money as well? The argument is really flawed, why do they just admit that they are just afraid of this so called digital money?
6933  Economy / Speculation / Re: FRUSTRATED AT THE MARKET. on: March 21, 2019, 08:59:27 AM
So you're frustrated at the market because we have been in a bear trend since 20k? Did you buy near the top or is there a reason besides that? It's doing fairly well considering BTC hasn't gone back to 1 or 2k.

I can only think of one reason why some are really frustrated, because they wanted to see their investments grow just like the last bullish run.

However, it can't be done overnight though, it will take months and months before the price could go on another all-time-high. So if they are really frustrated then they should move out and come back later.

If they don't have the patience to wait for the next bull run then how can they go and make more money? It doesn't makes any sense at all.
If you want to see the bullish then it is useless to be frustrated or to be worry because price will not rise for your tension taking or for being frustrated, try to buy when the price is low and sell at high price, I know people gets worry when their invested amount of money gets down in price so better not to be frustrated just stay with your strong faith and invest at low.

Correct, so they either became frustrated and then lost their interest and go exit the market. Or then can change their mindset, just buying in dips, not necessarily buy 1 BTC, at least a small amount that could lead to something big in the future.

And then do nothing, just hodl on their coins and simply wait for the next bull run, easy peasy. And all their frustrations are gone specially when the price rose dramatically again in the future.
6934  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin network congestion (even with Bench32 add.). Raise fees if you're hurry! on: March 21, 2019, 08:44:34 AM
I agree, I was quite surprised that it was a bit slower today as compare to other days wherein my transactions get through in just 30 minutes to 1 hour. But today, without changing anything on my Electrum it went about 2 hours ++. But I'm good I'm not in a hurry though.

Anyways, everyone can look at https://jochen-hoenicke.de/queue/#0,24h and adjust your fees accordingly.

This thread gives me a good chuckle to be honest.  Grin

Bitcoin is still in the $4k'ish so I guess there's no pump coming or the OP is not from the future. We are just like one month from his prediction so I don't think that we will see the price of bitcoin goes to $8k.

But at least we have this kind of thread to have some break on some serious discussions or from our focus on trading. Lol.  Grin
The deadline of 12 April is close so let's not make assumptions to fast since anything is possible  Shocked Shocked Shocked
I wish this could be true, but the chance of it happening is probably 0.01%,but as I said you never know what futures reserves for us. Hope is still there.

Of course I also like to see the price goes to $8k next month.

Also it looks like something is brewing up, there's a lot of good news around and the volumes seems to be picking up as well.

So I do hope that this man who travel back in time will be correct.  Grin
6936  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Newbie in crypto trading on: March 20, 2019, 12:33:00 PM
As for me, day trading is the best option, on every deal you devote 3-5 percents of your deposit and making some profit in small price movements up and down. In addition, Such trades are providing price liquidity and market is running smoothly thanks to that.

I think that's one advantage of it day trading, liquidity of the market is running and so as the exchange.

But I must tell you that day trading is not for everyone, specially if you are newbie in trading. That's why I quite surprised to find you making profits in this bear market because you are doing day trading. Goodluck to you and hope you don't get greedy at the end and chase for big profits daily.
6937  Other / Off-topic / Re: Intermittent Fasting for weight loss on: March 20, 2019, 12:28:15 PM
I agree with you that Intermittent Fasting is a very good method to lose weight and also build muscles. Unfortunetly a lot of trainers are promoting this as a bad method, probably because they have never tried it before and thats why this method is not so popular amoung people that visit gyms regulary.

Or maybe because those trainers doesn't understand the physiology of muscles. I tried doing weight lifting under IF and I must say that it doesn't affect my training at all. I can still lift the same amount of weights even in IF, so it's a good method if you really wanted to loss weight and gain muscles, as per my experience with IF.
6938  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Price Could Sink to $1,850 Despite Bullish Crypto Momentum on: March 20, 2019, 11:48:06 AM
But since this news was released, bitcoin was still making a good price rally and even touches $4k. Another reminder that when someone wanted to create FUD, and make people panic, bitcoin price goes into opposite direction.

And now that trading volume is spiking, I doubt that the price could sink < $2k as the article is pointing. Maybe this is the start of a slow recovery process, next stop is $4200-$5k. So once the price goest to that level, I don't think that we can go below or even see another all-time-lows.
6939  Economy / Economics / Re: And Now Visa Wants To Enter Crypto on: March 20, 2019, 11:43:09 AM
It's means that Visa has seen crypto has big potential financially that's why they are testing the waters now. They are looking for a Product Manager, which means that they are really interested on joining crypto.

Might be the same as Facebook though, but still this is a welcoming news as Visa is a vocal proponent of bitcoin before so this sudden switch is an indication or probably set a precedence for other services to join the picture as well. So let's see how it goes, potentially 2020 is a good target, as everyone says that this is when the bull run starts.
