7841  Economy / Speculation / Re: Does McDonald coin have the power to cause dip in bitcoin market on: August 06, 2018, 07:05:10 AM
Acouple of days back the bitcoin market was gaining some slightly increase in price but every thing change since Wednesday and when speaking with a friend online he sent a me a YouTube video of McDonald planning to create their own coin. He said the coin was the reason why the market is down and I don't believe him but McDonald have more capital than cryptocurrency this year.
What's your thought guys?

No, I don't think that this news has something to do with bitcoin current slump in recent days. Do you think that they will just pour all their capital on their coin to tip the balance on their favor? I don't think so.

Investors are simply cashing out in the last couple of days and usually this dip happens on weekends anyways so I'm expecting that bitcoin will go above $7K and probably hits $7100-$7200 this week and as we get closer to the EFT decision, we might see a slight spike on the price.
7842  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Looks like Bitcoin is a news right now. on: August 06, 2018, 06:31:13 AM
More and more people are being curious about how the extent of bitcoin can further lengthen their way of living into luxury and glamour, which is actually making it famous right now. Time may come that people only rely on the benefits of managing bitcoin rather than their own societal participation or job-related things. What do you know about the famousness of bitcoin worldwide? Add more ideas, opinions and news about this.

That is very wrong. Newbies shouldn't think of bitcoin that way, this market is not to get rich quick, Yes it has become a form of investment but just like any other class assets out there, their is risk. How many newbies who FOMO last 2017 specially in December and thinking that the meteoric rise will continue this year? They joined at the peak and now they are all burned. as for being in the news, well it has been since its inception.

The thing is, it started to have a lot of negative feedback and it just started to make headlines last year, specially during its bull run. I advise everyone not to think bitcoin as a get rich scheme and its better to treat it as what Satoshi wanted, to be used as a payment scheme.
7843  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Ethereum is waiting for what? on: August 06, 2018, 06:10:57 AM
What do you mean that bitcoin is set for a bull run? As far as I know bitcoin is still struggling. So we all know that ETH price is somewhat tied to Bitcoin so expect that ETH will also struggle up to the end of the year. Not unless there's some development in the ETH side that will make the coin makes its own bull run independent of Bitcoin. But so far we haven't heard anything and then there is also the EOS threat, another factor that I believed contributes to its recent downfall.

Recently, the market has shown that bitcoin is set for a bull run. Yet, the ethereum chart is showing that, ethereum is feebly struggling to even maintain it's current price. What do you say about this? Why hasn't ethereum followed suit?

7844  Economy / Economics / Re: The Reason For Creating a New Cryptocurrency? on: August 06, 2018, 05:39:05 AM
Yes, this is the main reason as far as bitcoin as originally envisioned by Satoshi. At that time we are in a financial crisis and he doesn't want to rely on any third party to do our everyday transactions. That's why bitcoin is born, to be use as a mode of payment, without boundaries. However, do note that it has evolved a lot, the real usage was taken a back sit, and now bitcoin is being viewed as a form of investments.

I think the main reason for creating new coins is for faster payments. to create an ecosystem of a project that will be valuable in the eyes of the world and there are also reasons for fraud such as dumps and pumps
7845  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [UFC] The wait is over. Khabib vs Conor on: August 04, 2018, 07:58:08 PM
I guess I'll have to create the thread way earlier...  Maybe as soon as all the match ups are available and when the promotion starts.  Smiley  It's gonna be so fun following McGregor promote this one.

Yup, once you created that thread, I might as well close this one and continue our discussions there. I was just pump up when I read the news earlier that's why I created this thread to let everyone know. Promotions has been started even before the scheduled actual fight. Countless videos in Youtube has been circulating for years now. But we love drama in sports specially involving Conor so I'm sure the media will also have a feast day following him around and giving us inside news.

7848  Economy / Gambling discussion / [UFC] The wait is over. Khabib vs Conor on: August 04, 2018, 07:12:59 AM
For all UFC fans out there:

Conor McGregor to challenge Khabib Nurmagomedov for lightweight title at UFC 229

Quote
He’s back. And he’s coming for the title that he never lost.

The UFC officially announced Friday that Conor McGregor (21-3) will make his return to the Octagon after a nearly two-year hiatus when he challenges Khabib Nurmagomedov (26-0) for the lightweight championship in the main event of UFC 229 on Oct. 6 at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.

This marks McGregor’s first UFC fight since Nov. 12, 2016, when he defeated Eddie Alvarez to capture lightweight gold and become a dual-division champion at 145 and a 155 pounds. He has been stripped of both belts since as he took time off from MMA competition to raise his first first child and pursue a blockbuster boxing bout with Floyd Mayweather.

This is what all UFC/MMA fans are waiting for years, and it looks like its going to happen on Oct. 6. @Tokeweed, time to create a thread for this one.  Grin

7850  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis League All Thread on: August 04, 2018, 06:44:45 AM
I saw Murray playing against Edmund and he is still far from being 100%. Lets hope that everything improves well and that he doesn't retire which would be a pitty for the tennis.

There was news circulating that he might withdraw in the Citi Open because it was around 3 am when he finished a match against Copil. He complained about the schedule that caused his match to start around midnight. Maybe there's a reason for the delay. Or perhaps he is not used to play this late. Murray is still on a lot of emotional stress as evident of his crying after winning the match.

I guess the rumor is true. Murray withdraw after a grueling match that lasted in the morning. It seems that his body has not totally healed after all. But its a good decision, he has still a lot of tennis years ahead of him so its better not to force his body because he just came from a hip injury. The past 3-4 days for him was really exhausted and maybe his body is telling him to take it easy as he might re-injured and end his career.
7851  Economy / Reputation / Re: Campaign Management Gone Wrong (Bitcasino.io) on: August 04, 2018, 06:05:53 AM
@WaffleMaster, c'mmon man, this is really getting ridiculous. You have been paid already by the campaign manager. Seems you have a good reputation by just looking at your merits. But now you totally ruined it, other campaign managers have taken noticed of your actions and behavior that I doubt that you will be accepted in any bitcoin paying campaign. I suggest you really need to take a break and stop spamming, just saying.
7852  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Current cryptocurrency market situation on: August 02, 2018, 10:22:26 PM
I think that in few weeks the ETF statement influence will disappear and crypto market will continue the rise until 10-12,000$ per bitcoin until the end of the year. It is related to price of electricity that is used to generate one bitcoin. If price of bitcoin will rest low, most of BTC miners will stop mining. It will make bitcoin deficit and rise of its price.

ETF will be a big game changer. So let's hear it from SEC in about a week or two. There's still a lot of positive thoughts that the ETF might be approved but we can't really be sure, still the decision rest on the hands of the SEC. I'm not sure though about electricity, bitcoin mining is profitable even if the price goes below $6k, there will still be miners and I don't see them stop mining just because the price keeps declining.

Atleast bitcoin price not fall too far, I don't expect that bitcoin price will always reach new high level of price every years. Price will increase depend on the supply and demand not depend on time. The current market situation is bad for people who buy bitcoin at $12000-$2000.

Because the declined that we witness in the last couple of days in not panic selling, but rather traders shorting or cashing out and take the profits. I'm sure that they will come back and buy in this dip and we will see bitcoin bounce back again. Well if you bought it above $10K then there's no point of selling at this moment.
7853  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is gambling addiction mainly due to loneliness and dissatisfaction? on: July 30, 2018, 06:21:20 PM
Yesterday I watched a video about addiction on youtube: https://youtu.be/ao8L-0nSYzg. It was a real surprise to me that according to recent research people are addicted to drugs mainly because they can't bond well with people and are not able to live a satisfying life. The research shows that when an addicted person appears in a loving and caring environment, the addiction kind of disappears (even heroin addiction). I wonder what are your thoughts on this matter and whether you think you could say the same about gambling addiction.

I believed for drugs that might be one of  the reasons why they got addicted. As for gambling addicts, might be a deeper reasons though. I admit that I got addicted because of the environment. When you see your father and other family members into gambling at a young age, you can inherit, that lifestyle and that's what happened to me. But being lonely? Nah, I don't think that gambling will be their first options though, but drugs. That's why I wanted to break that line, that connection, so I keep my gambling addiction to my kids because I don't want them to end the path I took.
7854  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Bitcoin in August? on: July 30, 2018, 06:11:46 PM
Haven't you heard about the the ETF proposal from SolidX and VanEck?

https://www.coindesk.com/vaneck-solidx-join-forces-in-new-bid-to-launch-bitcoin-etf/

This news are the main catalyst of the price recovery that we are witnessing in the past 2 weeks and the final decision will be on the first or second week of August. So it means cash has been pouring already because we have been maintaining the $8K mark. Although the G20 decision will come handy, but it was reported that their decision will be in October so we are not yet feeling the effects of it. So starting August, it will be a new dawn and really gets interesting specially in the EFT gets approved. And then come October with the G20 decision, the growth will continue and we might see the price going up until the end of the year.

We don't expect a serious upward trend this summer, investors are not ready to pour big money into cryptocurrency, and for capitalization and the rate to grow - serious investments are needed .. Let's hope for autumn, just in October there will be a meeting of G20 where still should solve the issue of the regulation of cryptocurrency, after which a powerful market movement is possible.
7855  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Bull Run Over? Mati Greenspan Reveals a Shocking Analysis on: July 29, 2018, 08:45:03 PM
Why are people surprised with the volumes on the Japanese or Korean market? They have carried the torch since China left, so obviously those two nations are really pouring a lot of cash in the market eversince.

Bitcoin bull run according to the eToro senior analyst Mati Greenspan is led by Japanese and Koreans. Bitcoin Volume in East Asia during the price spike has also been on the rise as he further explains the reason for the same.

https://coingape.com/bitcoin-bull-run-over-mati-greenspan-analysis/

This is just another bull shit article. We can't even call this a bull run, just a minor recovery. Trading volumes is not even where we can call it like that, the volume is still the same, around 5 million. If that volumes double, then we can say it is a bull run. But with today's volume? No, sorry to burst the bubbles for you.
7856  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Bitcoin markets data on: July 29, 2018, 08:16:07 PM
I am doing some data analysis and would like to know if I can find historical data for coinmarketcap markets page (https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/bitcoin/#markets) where BTC volume is listed for each exchange and trading pair. So far I could not find it and I hope I could get some guidance here.

I tried also Exchanges APIs but some exchanges who showed high volume recently (E.g. coinsuper) do not provide historical data. And trying to crawl data from individual exchanges is not infeasible for the timeframe I have

 Thanks in advance,

Maybe this can help you out: https://coinmarketcap.com/historical/.

You have to go one by one (by year), but it pretty much have all the data from 2013-2018. Goodluck.
7857  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Some people trolling the bitcoin and its potential. Stay away from them on: July 28, 2018, 06:51:02 AM
Again, you can't please anybody here. This is a community and everyone is free too expressed their opinion. I think trolls makes this community more lively and inter active. Kwukduck for one is one Legendary known for his anti-bitcoin sentiments, and we could have thousands of arguments against him, but at the end of the day, its a good and healthy discussion.

What I don't like though, is the way this shills after newbie traders and investors. And that task is up to us to tell newbies and trying argue against those trolls and prove them wrong. There's no better and satisfying feeling shutting down those trolls.  Grin
7858  Economy / Speculation / Re: My prediction on: July 28, 2018, 06:00:32 AM
I predict that even though the current bull run appears to be over, that BTC will not be down significantly below $6000.

The bull run is not yet finished, bitcoin is still going up and rebounded in the last 24 hours. It went from $8200-$7800, but it looks like the price is almost $8200 again. The decline was triggered by the disapproval of the Winklevoss 2nd appeal for Bitcoin ETF, but the effort is short live.

This prediction is just based on looking at price variations in 2018. $6000 appears to have support.

Note: Don't anyone trust my prediction. I'm just learning more about price movements and making predictions to see to what degree I'm able to predict the market. Or not.

Yes, I agree that if we ever face another declined, it will not go below $6K. Actually, we might not see another bottom below $6K because there's a lot of positive news that will be coming in the next couple of months.
7859  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Too many new Exchanges on: July 27, 2018, 05:52:41 AM
Recently i was working on a project related to Altcoin listing on different exchanges. Strange i found out too many new exchanges and people are trading well over there. Don't you guys think there should be limited number of exchanges and regulated ones? (Many new exchanges are nicer too and competitive but there is always a trust issue there specially for new investors). Your thoughts.

I don't think that we can do about it. Exchanges are popping because crypto market is a billion dollar industry now. Everyone wants to get a slice of the pie that's why venture capitalist are willing to raise money and put up a trading exchanges. Of course trust will be a big problem for new comers, they have to proved themselves otherwise no one will take a chance of them.

On the other hand, pump groups can take advantage of new trading sites and continue their manipulations of shitcoins that those exchanges are listing. There's some drawback but its really up to us to whether go with them or completely continue trading with the likes of Binance or OKex.
7860  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2018 NBA Season on: July 27, 2018, 05:24:56 AM
Lets stop that Melo thing for now because many know that he doesn't fit there (just joking)  Cheesy Cheesy

Lets talk about Kevin Love signing a 4 year 120 million extension with the Cleveland Cavaliers.

ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski and Brian Windhorst and Cleveland.com's Joe Vardon report the Cavs have signed Kevin Love to a four-year, $120 million extension.

The team officially announced the move on Tuesday afternoon as Love signed the contract at Quicken Loans Arena in front of Cavs front-office officials and construction crews working on renovating the arena.

http://www.nba.com/article/2018/07/24/report-kevin-love-signs-four-year-120-million-extension-cleveland-cavaliers?collection=news

Now that Love is the remaining all-star in the Cavs, what will be the future of the team. Can he seek help from his teammates. I wish what Lebron did last season will not happen to Love next season.

Its a good move for Kevin to stay with the Cavs he will now be the new face of the team. He will be their franchise player for one and we all know that Kevin is very much capable of carrying a team just like he did when he is still in Minnesota. So all is not lost of the Cleveland franchise. Let's see if he can revive his career again and re-invent himself since his been in the shadow of Lebron and Kyrie for quiet some time now. (and both of them are gone now.)
He deserved that amount of contract but I don't know if he can still deliver the way he play like he was still with the Twolves.
Love is a different player now and there are better players than him in the league, I know he cannot do it alone, so the management should seek for fresh talents.
We will see if it was really worth it. I think it was a good move by the Cavaliers and to be honest, he just became a support type and now that they have a different roster, he could probably perform differently and with the recruitment of fresh talents, why not?
Lets see how Love will play in this upcoming season. I don't think he will be the same Kevin Love as he is in the Timberwolves but he needs to step up on every game now that he is the lone all star player in the Cavs. I wish they will get another underdog player. We will see how Love and the Cavs play in the season but I don't think they can clinch unto the playoffs right now.

Yeah, I would agree that he won't be the same Kevin Love, but you see he is just the 2nd option with the Cavs that's why his numbers is down but from time to time specially in playoffs wherein Love can pour 20-10 a night. He still has it and now being the first option with the Cavs, maybe we can see him pour more points and rebounds again just like his old days in Timberwolves.

Then its really a blessing for Love to stay with the Cavaliers then. Perhaps another MVP numbers for him? Yes, I do think that they can also clinch easily a playoff spot even with the current roster. Tyron being a coach is being underestimated, imo, just because he has Lebron, everyone thinks he doesn't know how to adjust this coaching style. I'm sure he knows that Lebron will be leaving and might have talk to Love to stay with the team and try to rebuild it again with him as the center. It might not take a year or two, but definitely they will go and recruit players as they see fit so that Cavs can go back post-Lebron era again.
