6921  Economy / Lending / Re: Looking for small bitcoin loan on: December 30, 2013, 02:41:10 PM
I tried localbitcoins... closet guy was an hour and a half away...

Fine, if nobody will give me a loan will someone straight up sell the bitcoins to me?

Take a look at the sub-forum "Currency exchange". Remember, to research the person you are dealing with and use escrow whenever possible. Localbitcoins allows you to purchase Bitcoins online off users also.
6922  Economy / Services / Re: Looking for someone to help me buy something on: December 30, 2013, 02:33:30 PM
still looking. Urgent. Thanks

Contact bitsumo. They can purchase this for you no problem. However, they do have some fees involved.
6923  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Who plans to shop on Overstock.com as soon as BTC payments work? on: December 30, 2013, 02:31:46 PM
I've never used them before, but they seem to have quite a large stock where a lot of stuff I would normally get from Amazon. But, if it allows Bitcoin purchases which are not insanely priced this could be a great alternative.
6924  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: POLL: Is TradeFortress a scammer? TRUSTED FORUM MEMBER, lol on: December 30, 2013, 02:30:27 PM
Still not nearly a high enough % of the total to make a decision on whether TF really is a scammer though.
I think a lot of people have forgotten what they voted in this thread. Back when this poll was started I voted wait for more evidence but then found the thread again today and changed my vote to yes. So I think there will be a lot more people who would do that if they were to visit this thread again.

Indeed some sad news, hopefully he can have a good recovery. Thoughts with him and his family.
6926  Other / Meta / Re: Stop a thread from appearing in 'Show new replies to your posts' on: December 30, 2013, 02:02:15 PM
Is that confirmed to work?
Someone asked once but nobody ever answered
Seems that it does work.
6927  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Scam Report: Lala on: December 30, 2013, 01:25:35 PM
Ah, ok. Maybe put a note he only did so because he was blackmailed haha.
There will be a reference link directly to this thread. So that people can see for themselves anyway. Oh and Lala are you going to be removing the bad trust rating from me any time soon?
6928  Economy / Auctions / Re: [Auction] www.CryptoCritic.com on: December 30, 2013, 01:19:49 PM
What’s the starting price?
6929  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Looking for a web host that accepts bitcoin for hosting on: December 30, 2013, 01:13:37 PM
Go check out the services section of this forum, there are a lot of different companies there willing to accept Bitcoin.
6930  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Scam Report: Lala on: December 30, 2013, 01:08:11 PM
Why? He's still a scammer.

I said "edit". Which means I'm not going to be removing the negative trust. Just state inside the negative trust that he did return partially/all of the money when caught out.
6931  Other / Meta / Re: (PETITION) The act of BUYING/SELLING Bitcointalk.org Accounts (Poll) on: December 30, 2013, 01:05:56 PM
I reckon the results would roughly been the same if we had another vote anyway.
The staff have already stated even if 100% voted for it to be disallowed it wouldn't stop it and they wouldn't enforce the rule. Remember that selling accounts doesn't always happen here at the forum. You have reddit and other websites. It would be very difficult to moderate and could result in banning people who haven't sold their account but have been inactive for a very long time.

I see the only way to prevent this is to give whoever is selling accounts/trust negative trust ratings. But, even then that's meaningless.
6932  Other / Off-topic / Re: 3D printing is overrated? on: December 30, 2013, 12:47:56 PM
It's a amazing piece of technology. Obviously, if you haven't got any use for them then there's no point even talking about it. For the people who can make use of them they are very helpful and handy to have. It's very early days yet.
6933  Other / Off-topic / Re: Proxy Travel? [Super Elite-ish Bitcoiners Only!] on: December 30, 2013, 12:40:19 PM
Surely people would rather see it for themselves, because if not they could just google some pictures of their desired destination?
6934  Other / Off-topic / Re: Call Of Duty: Ghosts Vs Battlefield 4 on: December 30, 2013, 12:38:12 PM
Ghost has some new developments which I think are quite interesting, especially the dog part Smiley)

I hated multiplayer. Having the guard dog was neat but it's the same old stuff were people run around like headless chickens. Although, I enjoyed the campaign. I like black ops campaign the most out of recent years but I must say I enjoyed this one better than mw3, black ops 2 and mw2. But, like I said multiplayer is the biggest pile of shit ever.

Battlefield I normally enjoy more. But, I'm still waiting for them to fix all these stupid bugs which should of been fixed eariler on. It's past christmas now and we are nearly in the new year and they haven't even fixed half of the problems.
6935  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Scam Report: Lala on: December 30, 2013, 12:30:32 PM
If the op indeed returns all of the money, I will edit the negative feedback.
6936  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: When can I add an avatar? on: December 29, 2013, 11:02:38 PM
It's currently disabled due to security issues. There is no estimate when it will return.
6937  Economy / Gambling / Re: 2012 DODGE RAM HEMI RAFFLE. ONLY 500 tickets. on: December 29, 2013, 08:27:39 PM
I'm getting more ideas and I like that. As previously stated I would like to do like online stream to have zero questions and doubts. What I am really trying to decide is if it wouldn't be better to set a very small of numbers (let's say instead of 500 go with 50) at #$1Bitcoin per ticket? I understand how high is the value of 1 but at the same time if you are a lucky one who bought when it was really dirty cheap or like to increase your chances by the few numbers, that could allow me to do quicker I think. What you guys think of that? And what if I allow the buyer to pick the number he wants? (If still available?). What if someone wants to buy multiple tickets, should that be a limit on that or not? By all my questions is that I want to do something unique and provide a fun and good experience to everyone.

You mean 1BTC a ticket?
6938  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: I have 5.65BTC to sell. URGENT SALE!!! on: December 29, 2013, 05:57:22 PM
I can exchange for some other e-currencies. I want to sell at $600/BTC. Anyone interested should please mail me on (acescoins@gmail.com). I can accept Western Union, PerfectMoney or WebMoney.

I want to ask are you going to be using a escrow for this deal?
6939  Other / Meta / Re: Problems with tor and the forum on: December 29, 2013, 05:03:45 PM
Just in case if you missed the context - abusing the get new identity feature of tor to play lottery and find out an exit node that's not blocked by bitcointalk is the exact opposite of protecting people's privacy.
Care to elaborate? What's the harm to hitting that button every so often?
6940  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Need honest advice on: December 29, 2013, 04:58:09 PM
Start off with coin that just launched, you are more likely to mine more in the beginning of each launch.

Not every coin has potential. Only very few have some potential to make some small profit on. Most coins are for the purpose of making the creator rich. No one else.
